Holly Roser is a certified Personal Trainer and a certified Sports Nutritionist in San Mateo. She has over 15 years of experience in fitness, including 10 personal training certifications. Her team of 15 trainers are excited to help you reach your fitness goals!
Holly’s mission is to help professional women over 40 working 60 hour work weeks get results in half the time.

I found this studio during my detailed search of training studios in San Mateo. It was a plus they had small classes consisting of women. I needed a safe place to train slowly since I’m deconditioned. My goals are to get stronger and also lose weight. I’m not disciplined enough to go through the gym regularly on my own. I had a FaceTime call with Holly and we discussed all of my goals and how she and her team can help me. I felt she really listened to me and we created a plan. I came in for a 1 on 1 and loved the studio. I’ve completed 10+ semi-private sessions now and I’m excited to continue. All of the trainers are so supportive and really help me perfect my form during the exercises which I wanted. I’m feeling stronger already and feel motivated to continue exercising on my own when I’m not at the sessions. They also offer meal plans and nutrition help which I’m considering. Overall would highly recommend to anyone. It’s definitely worth checking out.

I've had great experiences here with two trainers, Jonathan and Maria. I'm an early bird and they bring great energy to my private sessions. I love that workouts are tailored to what I need overall, but also to how I'm feeling that day. I'll be going here for as long as I live in San Mateo! But Jonathan also prepares workouts for me while I'm away, which is a great way to use the app to stay in shape when I'm travelling.

I started working out at Holly Roser Fitness Studio in November of 2022. I love coming to this studio, the trainers are all very knowledgeable. I have the best time working out with Joanne twice a week. She understands the rhythm of fitness. I have lost over ten pounds in 2 months while gaining muscle and overall strength. I joined Holly in May of 2020 hoping to better my health, I felt like COVID was really putting a damper on my regular workout routine. I worked with Vanessa 3 times a week in May and would run the other days. I lost 5 pounds in my first week from working out and watching my caloric intake that Holly provided for me. At the end of the month I had lost 10 pounds. Then I switched to semi privates because the cost was a lot for me. I LOVE semi privates with Jen on Wednesday's, I kickbox and do Yoga on Monday/Fridays and run Tuesday/Thursday and Saturdays anywhere 3-4.5 miles. My weight is always at 151.2 or 150 now and I've never felt more fit or health conscious. I love getting my workouts in and I love how much my eating habits have changed for the better. I still eat things I like just in moderation and I feel so much better. My friends and family really started to notice in July my changes and how much more toned and healthier I looked. I try to just focus on lean muscle building and flexibility now more than weight. I am happy to have Holly and Jen and the team helping me and supporting me through my lifestyle change and continuing to challenge me month to month and week to week.

Such an amazing and inspiring place to work out. Even on days that I had little energy I was also so excited to get my workout in as I knew the hour sessions I spent were well worth it. I have been training with Holly for over a year.The best thing about training with Holly is that I always feel better when I leave. She is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). I feel that she gears each session according to my ability and goals, I feel challenged each time. My wife and I have been training with one of Holly’s trainers (Johnathan) at home for the past 6 months and we both have seen great results. Holly provides support all around: nutrition coaching, workout planning including on off-days when we exercise on our own & continuous follow-up to ensure we are meeting our goals.
We both feel so much better since starting to work with Holly. Our eating habits have improved tremendously, we now enjoy working out & going the extra mile.
Holly has developed a great method for weight loss that is sustainable which is probably the most important aspect of this journey. Holly is extremely supportive; always available for a chat, always checking on us and making sure we have everything we need to succeed. We’ve had many trainers before and Holly is the only one that has been able to help my wife get results. Last but not least, with our past injuries in mind Holly has been able to put together workout plans that take our injuries into account. This is really a lot of work on her part; making sure we stay on track without triggering any pain or soreness from past injuries while constantly adjusting workouts week to week to make sure we are always challenged and don’t plateau.
Holly and Johnathan are wonderful; we now have trainers for life!

I have trained off and on with Holly for a little over a year. Holly will handle everything, from planning your workouts to meal planning and supplementation - you just have to follow instructions. She is also great at modifying your workouts for injuries. I’m currently working out with one of Holly’s other trainers (Jess), since I live in San Francisco - but I still hear from Holly multiple times per week to check in on how I’m feeling. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a trainer to supportively kick your butt!

I have been with Holly for almost a year now and she has literally changed my life!!! physically, mentally and emotionally. I’ve literally tried almost every workout. Barry’s, SoulCycle, Blogilates, Reformer Pilates, Barre, the list goes on. With Holly, she’s able to teach me workouts that will REALLY benefit me and give me the results I want. I’m not where I want to be just yet, but I know 100% that Holly will get me there in no time :) What I really LOVE about her is that she keeps it real. She knows that we are human and we deserve to treat ourselves. Since she knows that I am SUPER guilty of cheat days, she still has a way to keep my nutrition on check. Best thing my wife ever made me do. I was a little hesitant at the beginning to go, but Holly made the process extremely easy and I learned a lot about my health.
