They don’t have classic Bihram yoga, but Power and some fusion classes are worth to try if you are experienced enough. Clean, friendly trainers and I liked the wall for progress :)

Loved this studio! Was in town for Dead and Co shows desperately needed this with all the standing and walking over 3 days. I did the Hot Power Fusion as I normally do Hot 26. Very welcoming place and if I visit SF again would look to book a hotel within walking distance to this studio. Visiting from New Albany Indiana

Great studio for hot yoga sculpt classes! A warning that these studios are HOT. If you are used to a Core Power Yoga… it’s even warmer than that. Lots of people leaving throughout class to take breaks but I found the more classes I took, the more acclimated I became to the temperature. The best classes to take are the sculpt. Hot Power Fusion is more like a basic yoga class. My fave teachers were Mel P who usually teaches weekday mornings at 7am and Danielle L who teaches Saturday morning. Both so different in teaching styles but both POWERHOUSES, motivational and you will leave their class sweaty and feeling strong. The studio also has cold eucalyptus towels and a salt shot station to hydrate and replenish your electrolytes after class. Pricey studio but worth it!

This studio is just not great. The people who work here all seem like disinterested college girls. The coaches regularly misname poses and then just say “or whatever you call it” like there are not certain names for poses. They have an awful bikram class that they call “power fusion” but like…it’s Bikram. They have classes listed wrong on MINDBODY. Thought it was 730 barre, in reality it’s a 745 bikram/hot fusion class. The pressure for them to sell is insane. I was in town visiting and explained this multiple times and yet every single day I was asked what my “plan was” after my week trial. Overall not a super welcoming environment.

Strange business. I asked to cancel my subscription, and after a trial week, they canceled it and I was never back to their classes. But after 1 month I was charged $229 for nothing just because they had my credit card number in their system. I was only on a trial week. Now, I have to deal with this with the business and my bank and spend my time on that.

Hot 8 Yoga is very clean, and the front desk team and instructors are always nice. Unfortunately, there are frequently last minute class cancellations or last minute changes to the type of class that will be held. Today, the class I had signed up for was cancelled and I received no notification. The only way I knew was by double checking the website and saw that it said cancelled under the class. I understand things happen, but this has happened at least 4 times in less than 2 months and it's starting to be really inconvenient. I decided to buy a membership here instead of continuing with ClassPass for a more consistent schedule. However, I never had an experience with classes booked on ClassPass being changed or cancelled last minute in more than 4 years, so it's been less reliable and consistent to have a membership with Hot 8 Yoga after all. I hope that the class schedules becomes more reliable...this studio is great in all other aspects.

Hot8 yoga is one of the hottest cleanest yoga studios I’ve been to. They have a variety of flows, held in one of two very hot clean studios with mood lighting.
Most of the classes are set to music in quiet room that feels like an office farm thanks to drop ceiling and lack of any art. The wicking floors in the studio are awesome; always clean and dry, which with the drop ceiling makes the room very quiet. The rooms are hot but very well ventilated, I didn’t notice anyone else’s smell or any odors at all. The instructors are not using a microphone which means they’re yelling a lot more than in a flow that uses them. The classes are intense, but effective.
They have lots of huge lockers, both inside and outside their gendered bathrooms. They have 3 showers per gendered bathroom but with no door locks, not very date friendly! Come on LA, really? On a plus they have free iced face towels and bath towels, and will rent you yoga matt and mat towels for $6.
Unfortunately they don’t offer any option to refrigerate drinks you brought in. I’ve never seen a yoga studio not allow students access to a refrigerator before, nor have I seen yoga studio showers that don’t lock, maybe it’s an LA thing? Hot8 definitely has an LA vibe; All the instructors I’ve seen so far had physics defying hair that somehow looked identical before and after a hot flow!
Despite its LA quarks, Hot8 has some of the best most effective hot yoga classes in the city, held in some of the cleanest studios held to a high standard of hygiene.definitely worth flowing at! 🧚🏽♀️

A new modern and beautiful hot yoga studio that has early morning classes? I was so excited to check it out! The studio is so beautiful but the yoga room smells absolutely terrible. It has a very strong plasticky smell. Imagine the smell of a cheap furniture but times 10. I had to walk out half way through the class as it didn’t feel good to breathe toxic air. It might be from the 100% plastic flooring. I was so surprised that the flooring like that is legal as it feels like the smell has negative health impacts. Really hope you guys can improve the air quality within the studio.

I visited San Francisco over the last week and took the unlimited week experience in hot 8 yoga downtown.
It was a very good experience, the place is neat and clean, and the teachers were super nice and professional.
I've tried all kinds of hot yoga - Sculp with weights, Hot Power Fusion the wrist friendly,Yin classes (which were surprisingly hard) and Yoga Bare with no shoulder mercy, weights and some drills on the bar. My heart rate skyrocketed and gallons of sweat had to be wiped. It was great!!
Thank you guys very much for a perfect week, i will miss you.

Xanadu! Was so blessed to spend mornings here. The whole experience is well done and thoughtful.
The hot rooms are temp and humidity controlled, and ll fantastic (I did fusion classes).
I sweat through my clothes entirely - which was my goal in hot yoga, but found great results in progressing my practice. The showers and locker rooms and cool eucalyptus towels all were spot on!
Instructors and team were amazing, especially Lilly!
I went each morning before work/conference. Such a better way to do work trips. Will be back!

When they say hot yoga, they mean hot yoga! If I'm recalling correctly, the classes at Hot 8 Yoga have been the hottest yoga classes I've been to SF.
Classes: My first visit here was for a Yelp event, shortly followed by their 1 week deal. I've been to their Hot Power Fusion and Power Yoga classes. I'm a fan of both, but I prefer the Power classes, especially with Zander! They're challenging, but there's never any pressure to push yourself too hard and you're encouraged to take as many breaks as you need, or even leave the room. Since it's so hot, you definitely want to take care of yourself. Since I've been finding these classes challenging enough already, I've been hesitant to attend their Sculpt classes. (Separately from that though, I've heard good things about their Yin classes). One of the best things is the cold eucalyptus towel at the end of class - it's such a bummer when they run out on busy days!
Staff: The staff and teachers have always been super nice when they greet you at the front desk. The teachers don't do the whole class with you, but they do lead you through some poses or sequences to demonstrate. I find this especially useful when the class is emptier and so there are fewer students to follow if they're doing something unfamiliar.
Amenities: There are mats and towels for rent if needed. The locker rooms have plenty of lockers and I've never had an issue finding space. There are showers and some toiletries on site too if you want to freshen up after class.
I'll definitely be going back for more as the yoga classes are an excellent complement to my other fitness classes (though I probably wouldn't want to do this as my sole exercise routine).

I just moved to SF and was excited to try and find a hot yoga studio, though not a great fan of Bikram - have enjoyed more fusion type hot yoga studios in other places. Googled and found out about Hot 8, and it has been amazing! Joined about a month ago, all of the staff are really friendly and mindful individuals. Each class has been such a great addition to time my day, week and overall wellness. I feel myself getting stronger, more flexible and with better cardio even just after a month. I also really loved they have a particular set of classes that are wrist/ wrist injury friendly, but still a great session and workout. Love hot yoga and glad that Hot 8 has got it down!

This is a great studio! It's new! I love the flooring that is not like rugs that soak up sweat. It is some type of material that does better wicking the sweat away.
Yoanna and Niah are really friendly! They provide stellar service checking in and giving a tour. I took great classes by Julia, John, Alexander, and Niah! I look forward to taking more classes at this studio.
