Very rude owner. My fiancé and I accidentally parked in her lot, thinking it was for the dance studio next door (given it is literally attached to it) and within 10 min, she towed BOTH of our cars the day before our wedding.
When we approached her kindly, she said “come back in an hour” so we waited outside, and when we came back and asked if she could waive the fees (given it will cost us over 1k and neither of us have a car) she told us no, and that she didn’t want to lose business with the tow company. (Still something I don’t understand here).
We are getting married tomorrow with no car and 1k deep in fees when we truly had no idea we weren’t able to park in this lot. Given too, the lot was completely open, so there was no need to tow in the first place as there was plenty of room for people to park. She was clearly just going after us.
Very disappointing to see a business owner take advantage of innocent people, and honestly, it says a lot about who she is as a person. That said, just know this is the type of person she is.

I’ve been attending classes at HYLA for several months now, and I can honestly say it has been a transformative experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The space is serene and beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully curated to enhance your practice.

These classes are awesome and truly hot! I love that it is women owned too. To the reviews about the door being locked - take it upon yourself to arrive on time as it’s not up to a studio to bend their policies for you. I used to own 3 fitness centers so I’m very understanding of this 💜

I signed up for the 5pm Hot Pilates class on 7/10 and when I showed up, everyone was standing outside and the instructor informed us that she didn’t have the key to the building and thus, class would be cancelled. She reassured us that we would receive a credit and someone from Hot Yoga LA would reach out to us about that but no one did. It has been a week now with no word from Hot Yoga LA after 3 unanswered emails. I attempted to call them as well but of course no one picks up the phone and you can’t leave a voicemail. I would highly advise not giving them your money or your business.

This is my “go to” place when I’m in LA. I’ve recently read where you don’t get old, “you just need to stretch” and for me, this place is it. The heat, the floors, and the instruction are always consistent. I’ve tried other Bikram style studios but this is definitely the best. Parking can sometimes be a challenge so I try to get there early. Very grateful for this studio.

I was invited by an associate from the local hair salon at the time. I came on a Saturday at around 4:30 pm for the $10 community class. Things worked out for me. Needed are your mat, large bath towel and water.

This is a no frills bikram style studio. Classes are silent except for the teachers. Breathwork is incorporated at the beginning and end of class. Classes are hot and challenge you mentally and physically. I love it. Like any place in LA parking is annoying and traffic is hellish… not the studio’s fault. I would say this studio actually has a fairly large sized free lot which is a huge plus but like most LA parking lots spaces are small and its not the most fun to maneuver if full. Most yoga studios I have gone to shut the doors at the class start time so I’m used to it. Its annoying if I don’t make it on time but that’s life. Note you enter the studio in the back through a nondescript doorway and th parking lot is next to scopa’s valet parking lot.

Locked the doors 5 minutes before a 6:30pm class. I pounded on the door and nobody answered which tells me exactly who these people are. Not the kind of energy you want for yoga :)

I loved this studio. I used to live down the street and took classes there frequently before Covid. I loved it so much I drove from Hollywood to MDR to attend a class today. Its LA, there is traffic. I pull into the parking lot at 4:27pm, just before a 4:30 class. There is no parking. It is the start of rush hour on Washington Blvd. If you pull into the parking lot with a large car, you need to back out to exit the way you came in because there is a chain that prevents you from exiting the other way. So I pull out my car but have to wait for traffic to let me back out onto the street. I then have to go all the way around the block, through side streets, to park on the street next to the studio. I park, run to the door to find it locked at 4:33pm. I knock, nothing. I run to the front but the shades are drawn, nothing. The Restaurant valet guy said if it’s locked, they won’t let you in. WTH?!? There is another woman pulling in to the parking lot as I walk back to my car. She asked if it’s locked and I said yes. Disappointed, we both leave. I understand not wanting to disturb anyone’s practice. I understand we shouldn’t hold the class back. I understand studios are struggling. But PEOPLE are struggling too. We aren’t perfect. Can’t control traffic or the weather, or how long a call is going to go overtime as part of growing pains of working remote during a pandemic. Just as we grant you grace and patience for being short staffed, grant us grace and patience as we navigate this slow crawl out of a pandemic. Im not asking for you to hold them open all through out, but I don’t think it being Los Angeles is unreasonable to ask for 5 minutes. Even the most responsible people, time management masters run a few late because of traffic, or calls, or something unexpected. I’m gonna wait around to see if I can join the 6pm class but geez this is not cool.
