These five stars are for Bri G! I havenβt been to hot yoga in two months and my first experience back was last week with Stephanie love and she nearly made me never want to come back to the Pasadena studio. Iβve taken a couple of classes with her and she never has bothered to remember my name. After taking my first class back in a while with Stephanie Love made the experience a negative one. Again I just want to praise Bri G for how kind she is, takes the time to remember your name create connections and the she fosters positivity in her classes. If you are new to hot yoga and want to take a barre class I would highly recommended you take a class with Bri G!

I've been coming for almost a year now and I really enjoy the Pilates classes, but all the classes that are offered are great. It gives me a routine and structure in a workout regimen. All the Pilates instructors are Awesome! They don't push you but encourage you to do your best. Also provide modifications to each workout. I love that I can go at my own pace.

No matter what kind of day Iβm having, I always leave class feeling more centered, stronger, and more at peace. This studio isnβt just about fitnessβitβs a place for inner balance, healing, and quiet joy. Iβm so grateful to have found it.

I've been practicing Bikram Yoga at Hot Yoga Pasadena regularly for a about 13 months now and I can't think of any negative things to say about this studio! It is equipped with clean showers and multiple restrooms. In the beginning, I had a hard time getting used to the smell of sweat in the hot yoga room full of people, but it no longer bothers me. It's just something that you have to get used to if you want to practice hot yoga anywhere.
I love my regular instructors (since they pay attention to details and try to push me beyond my limits), but I have never had a bad instructor here. All of them are really encouraging, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Practicing Bikram Yoga has transformed my life in different ways, both physically and emotionally. Prior to this practice, weekly chiropractic sessions and daily pain medications were not able to completely eliminate the upper back and neck pain that I experienced from long hours of standing (required by my job). I am happy to say that the tension on my neck and shoulders have been significantly reduced (from 6 to 1 on a scale of 1-10) since I started my regular Bikram Yoga practice and I no longer need to visit my chiropractor or my daily pain medications!
I'm not going to lie and say that I am totally pain free. In fact, I often feel sore all over my body after 90 minutes of stretching and toning in the hot and humid room, but as the saying goes, "no pain, no gain!" I've tried other methods of weigh loss after having two kids, but couldn't really maintain them. Bikram Yoga has somehow guided me to a healthier life style (with more water and vegetable and less caffeine consumption and eating smaller but more frequent meals). I find that on days that I don't drink enough water or did not eat well, it is harder for me to complete my yoga practice. However, no matter how terrible I feel during the practice, I always enjoy the rush of endorphines after each yoga session. A year of religious Bikram Yoga practice has resulted in a 10-pound weight loss and the decrease in one dress size!
Getting started was the hardest step, especially with getting my body used to the heat and the smell of sweat. I'm glad I got over those hurdles and feel very thankful for Hot Yoga Pasadena in providing a clean facility and amazing instructors to help me in this positive self transformation!

I've been practicing hot yoga for several years on and off at various studios within the Pasadena area. I have to say Hot Yoga Pasadena is my favorite so far because there is a sense of community. Also, the variety of pilates and 60 minute classes makes attending classes less daunting. Currently, I'm not physically where I would like to be because I know what I'm capable of and slowly but surely, I'm working on getting there. Hot yoga helps me with other activities and balances out my other workouts.

Hot Yoga Pasadena is the REAL DEAL.
My experiences with this studio and the people that run it have only been positive. I've only taken a class with Val and Jeff but they are very thorough, verbalize instructions clearly, and I like how the classes are more traditional and not so "Westernized". Always been a fan of heated yoga, I always feel amazing after class even if it was more exhausting than expected. Can't wait to return!

They have the rudest attitude I've ever seen and they can change your purchase history any time they want. Is a dishonest and irresponsible business operator.
I was bought a never expire 10 lessons from them. Their online system shows I still have 8 lessons left and the lessons are expire by 2025, so I decided to use one of my lessons after a long while of pandemic. And then the owner told me I have to used all the NEVER EXPIRE lesson before 2021 even their system shows my lessons expire by 2025 . The most ridiculous part was the owner use her bad attitude to told me that, oh yes, she forgot to change the expiration date until I book the lesson, and yes, she donβt even remember she did sell the never expire package before, and yes, she already changed their system and deleted all my lessons without inform . WHAT THE F!!
You know what, Val Sklar Robinson, the person like me who have been forgotten from you and your system which was never received any extensive correspondence from you neither email or text message.Thank you for letting me know how disgusting your business are, and best wishes to you!

This is my first Yoga experience and I canβt thank the staff enough for all their guidance and help. From the moment I walked in I was given useful feedback and encouragement. I initially signed up for a two week trial to see if Yoga could help improve my running and the results have been amazing. I have since signed up for a six month plan. Many thanks to Val, Jeff, Brooks and Jesse for all their amazing support.

In 20 years I have been to many yoga studios. Not only is this my favorite hot yoga studio, out of 5 that I've been to, but it's my favorite of all the studios I've been to.

I love coming here in the mornings although it's always a struggle to get out of bed. It's a great work out that will leave you feeling very refreshed!
The studio has plenty of parking around the area and a private lot in the back. They offer showers and changing room with lockers. There are also shelves for you to store your personal belongings next to the classroom.
I've taken classes by Michael, Roxanne, Jesse, and Val the owner. I enjoyed every class here! As a retired dancer, I really appreciate the way they teach. All the instructors are very knowledgeable about yoga and Pilates. They understand how to break down the moves with words and the classrooms feel more interactive because they get to know you. You can sense that responsibility and energy throughout the staff.
*First timers tips:
-Their hot yoga rooms are set to 105 degrees. I nearly passed out during my first class. This is definitely a class that you need to ease into. Try their 90 min hot yoga class or hot sculpt class which focuses on quick isolated movements and is more intense but less hot.
- Arrive at least 15-20 min early to find parking and to reserve a spot in the classroom
- Stretch before class
- Avoid makeup as you'll be sweating and it's bad for your pores
- Hairband to avoid your sweaty hair from sticking everywhere
- Bath towel/ yoga towel (this is used for placing directly on top of your yoga mat during class to catch the sweat)
- Smaller towel for wiping off your sweat
- Thermo bottles to keep your water cool or bottled water
- No shoes or socks in class
- Don't be late or you will be locked out

I love Bikram Hot Yoga Pasadena!!! My teachers are amazing!!! They are so kind, knowledgeable, and funny. I have never done any type of yoga in my life before starting my practice at this place three months ago. I am so grateful for finding hot yoga, this place, and being able to make time for regular practice. I was so impressed with the positive changes I felt with my body and mind that I bought a one-year membership after my introductory month ended in August.

DO NOT go to this place unless you want to live longer and live free of muscle or joint paint and.
I am attending minimum 1 session a week since i joined Pasadena Bikram about 4 months ago and I feel the change in my body and character. I had neck and shoulder pain which were gone after 4th session. The best thing can happen to you. Try it once and you wont quit. Hot yoga Pasadena is very clean and has friendly staff. Instructors are professional and passionate. PJ's class is a must to attend, listening to his stories while working out. The owner zVal, makes you feel welcome. Its a heaven after you workout and shower right after. They wash and dry your stuff if you forget to take it.
I purchased one month unlimited for $44. Then i purchased 30 classes for $270 which expires in 9 months. Variety of arrangements to purchase.
Plenty of parking spot. Their APP makes it easier to check in and see schedules.
Just try it! I bit your body will tell you " LOVED IT".

I have been a member of this yoga studio for sixteen years. The top of my list for any yoga studio has always been "The Teachers." In this particular yoga studio "The Teachers," no matter what, are the absolute best. They are trained, they are dedicated to their own practice, they educate themselves with what is happening within the yoga world at large and they sincerely care about you and your practice to stay aligned and have a joyful life because you are physically prepared to so.

The guy sitting at the reception was rude and unwelcoming. It was the three of us and we were trying to figure out what to do as it was our first time there. I told him that I had signed up and if it was ok to go inside. He yelled at me saying that I needed to wait as there were too many of us there. I was shocked. Then we went inside the studio and the smell was horrific. They don't take any measures to clean up or refresh the place before the next class starts. They told us that we would get used to the smell!!! We tried to put our mats down and the lady in the back was screaming at us saying "not in front of me", over and over again. To make the matters worse, the receptionist was the instructor. He was just standing there and going through instructions throughout the entire class. He was saying everything so fast that we had to spend most of our time just trying to figure out what he was saying. It was very hard to breathe because of the awful smell. Prior to this we attended Hot Yoga in Arcadia and what a huge difference it was. The place is super clean with wooden floors. They clean and disinfect the floors before each class. The staff is super friendly. The instructors are great and helpful. Prior to each class they ask if there are any injuries. I suffer from lower back injury but the instructor at Bikram Yoga couldn't care less and never asked if any of the new students had any prior injuries. Since we have already paid for a month we will continue going but that will be the end of it. Actually one of us suffered from a massive headache because of the smell and she isn't going back even though she has already paid for it. They are losing three potential clients. However, I would recommend Santa Anita Yoga any day.

Bikram Yoga Pasadena was an amazing experience. I came in to visit as I was traveling and took two classes. Each class had a different teacher and their knowledge of each movement was superb. Even though Bikram is the same sequence I learned a lot from both teachers. The facility was very inviting and the community was kind.

The studio itself is carpeted. If you can't imagine what a carpet that has sweaty yogis dripping on it 6 times a day smells like, it's pretty much equivalent to putting an old, stale, molding gym sock right up to your nose, then heating it up to 105 degrees and attempting to do yoga. When the instructor told the class to lay down on the mat, my stomach turned, the stench is almost impossible to bare. To make matters worse, i turned my head while in savasana and I saw a cockroach and the instructor comes over to kick it away and ends up kicking it onto the poor girls mat next to mine. If the lack of hygiene at this place isn't enough to deter you from ever coming here, the classes themselves were some of the worst I've ever taken. The instructor stands on a pedestal in the center of the room and talks through a microphone throughout the entire class. It's the opposite of a relaxing, meditative environment which draws me to practice yoga in the first place. They also call people out (from the pedestal!) to give corrections instead of going over to the person and quietly guiding them into the correct position. And there is not any music playing, so the only thing audible to focus on is the intimidating, loud instructor. If I wanted this type of environment, I'd sign up for a boot camp class, not yoga. There are no refunds, so don't make the same mistake I did. There are plenty of other reasonably priced studios that at the very least, don't smell like moldy sweat.

The awesome instructors who get to know you and push/help you so you don't plateau. Love the showers, I don't like to stink up my car so I only go to studios with a shower available. The studio has a nice and pleasant vibe. Happy I am able to refill my water bottle for no cost. I love this studio.

I LOVE BIKRAM YOGA PASADENA! The staff is so kind, knowledgeable and is always willing to answer your questions or help you with adjustments throughout class. I had been to a couple other studios and never had I received such a personal touch, even in a packed class. I suffer from joint pain and a regular practice has helped alleviate a lot of the pain. I have found that I am slowly becoming more flexible and even more calm in my day to day life. I enjoy jogging and this has significantly helped my cardio as well! The benefits seem endless, which is why I love this practice so much. Thank you Bikram Yoga Pasadena, you have made me stronger, calmer and more aware of myself!

I recently rejoined as they did a major renovation - so it jumped to 5 stars in my book. Pasadena was one of the first LA studios and has some of the most experienced instructors so it suffered from its popularity resulting in crowded classes and changing rooms. They finally were able to get the adjacent space and expand so now the studio is completely updated with showers, locker rooms, a bunch of bathrooms and the hot room feels like it is twice the size. If you check the pictures on their website that is really how it looks and I have found that it is very clean.
The studio has a good mix of teachers. There are a couple hard core yoga competition types but they are all super knowledgeable and are completely responsive to individual's specific needs. It is common to see the teachers work with students on specific issues such as knee and lower back issues. My issue is sciatica and I still can not do all the postures correctly but the teachers continue to provide specific help (they call them corrections) but it is always without judgement and they are super supportive.
If you are not familiar with the Bikram type of yoga, do some research before showing up as it is not like most other yoga. Bikram is a very specific practice consisting of the same postures for the same amount of time led by professional instructors using the same "dialogue" each time in a room humidified and heated to 105F! Those conditions allow your body to detox and improve your flexibility faster but can be quite surprising if you show up expecting a flow yoga led to Enya like music.

What do you dislike about it? Share a tip. There was so much CO2 in the room that i nearly passed out, and believe me I wasn't the only one. Yoga should be a time of refreshing meditation with challenges not BOOT CAMP. I would've appreciated an approach with more positive reinforcement that barking commands. And when I tried to get a small refund because i didn't enjoy the style and wanted to pay for a single class instead of the intro week, I was blatantly denied. My advice is if you want to try it either go somewhere else or don't go at all. Stick with other yogas if that has been working for you. :)
