Friendly staff. Clean. Big gym with lots of weightlifting and cardio equipment. Great big stretching area. Free 1 person saunas. Clean bathrooms.

Update. Lost my iphone here and a fellow gym member returned it to the front desk. What a great gym.

They also often have free coffee Monday & Friday.

On Wednesdays free fruit, lacroix, granola bars etc.

It's super convenient and close to home.
This image used to be a Gold's gym and so has some great free weight options as well as a lot of great machines. I love the yoga classes and how they will soon get back to longer classes. If they had a 75 to 90 minutes class instead of only 45 minutes I'd give them a 5 star.

Not your typical family YMCA, this is more like a real gym gym. Indoor cardio equipment and weight machines and then there's the garage free weights and more weight machines. No pool no basketball court or big locker rooms like the other YMCA. Super clean environment, no kids running around and they have classes too.

I go to this gym every weekend, and I can say that overall this is quite a good gym. Despite it not being open for as long as other gyms, I think that the hours are very reasonable. Lastly the equipment is up-to-date and I would recommend going to this gym.

Great mix of equipment. Chill atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. I’ve been coming here for years. Not open during the day as long as other “chain” gyms. Hours fit my schedule, so it’s my go to.

Pandemic is over. However, the HB YMCA insist on continuing to charge full price for Pandemic hours. Time to start shopping around for a gym that is actually OPEN!

Sadly this is not a family gym anymore bc the managers refuse to open the kids club for REASONABLE hours to bring children. Have no good reason either. Super sad bc I used to love this place. Open only 2 hours in the early morning is ridiculous. Need to be open at least until 11:30 minimum. I know many other moms who feel the same way. Very disappointing. OPEN UP! It’s been almost 3 years!

Disappointed. Recent knee surgery , can not work out for 6 months. Requested to put on hold, denied. Went to cancel and told 5 day advance notice required. Why did they not tell me when inquired 10 days in advance? Unethical. Watch out.

There is a lot of updated equipment, every workout area has disinfectant and towels for cleaning, there's a water station and a sitting area in the locker room.

Some of the staff aren't so nice, but that seems to be only to certain types of people.

It's near shops, restaurants and petrol stations.

I'm back to the Y after years at LA Fitness. YMCA is Great gym, Great equipment, and some very fit and serious fitness enthusiasts comparatively. Good motivation for me now that these restrictions are coming off. Ready to hit the iron hard again and this is my HB Gym!

I love this YMCA. The child care is amazing. The workers are so kind to my children and do everything they can to give them a wonderful experience. I love when my kids come home with crafts they made while I was at the gym. I love the spin classes and they have a lot of good weights to work with. You can’t beat the price.

Good things - free child care, good spin classes, and inexpensive for families
Bad things - feels old and dingy, they close off the training area when instructors are using it, and locker rooms don’t feel very clean.

I know a lot of people went to 24hr when it opened down the street - which is more expensive and much more crowded.

I tried multiple 24Hr fitness and even a couple of the smaller gyms in the area and I did not not like any of them nearly as much as I enjoy going to the YMCA. This gym is great for bodybuilders and aerobics alike. 7 squat racks, endless machines, plenty of benches, bikes, stairs, spin rooms, aerobic rooms and even new crossfit equipment in an isolated room. This place is huge.

Friendly neighborhood gym! Easy parking, in and out. It is what a basic gym is all about- has the cardio, pulley weights, free weights, is relatively clean and bathrooms clean too. Wide selection of different work outs including the popular spin classes. I go for treadmill running, and weights. What I want to do is always available. Peeps seem to like the childcare facilities. It is an easy access gym, which means you will not find excuses not to go!

I found the this facility has very up to date equipment, friendly staff and is a clean facility. I normally use it in the late mornings or afternoon and there is no waiting time to use the equipment .

Crappy cancelation policy, told me on the phone I can come in ON the 27th of March to cancel my membership. I came in the same day, cancel and ask if everything is taken care of, front desk said yes, and I can come in until March 31st. On April 15th, call and told me I am running a balance. Thanks for nothing, now I need to pay a full month without using a single day, I am going to make sure the rest of my family members and friends to cancel with you as well.
