Had the chance to do a few personal training with Coach Gabe and cannot recommend him enough for your strength and conditioning needs. Each session with him had me pumped to do another right after because of the programming. He is very knowledgeable and will guide you to get through each rep.

Coach Gabe is the strong reason for my 5 stars. I am someone who has never done this style of fitness and was initially very apprehensive. But I am glad I got matched up with Gabe because he is great at motivating you to push further. Most of all my workouts are super fun, so I am always excited to show up for his classes. Recommend it!

This gym is amazing! I was just in town for a day, but it was my highlight in San Jose. Colin gave personal attention to everyone in our small strength workout group, checking our form and giving feedback after each set. The stretch session with Michelle right after was perfect, more people should take advantage of the stretching!

I’ve been working with Shane and Anthony for over 3 months now and have already noticed a significant boost in my overall physical and mental wellbeing. Both coaches are extremely approachable and knowledgeable and the exercises are designed in a way that’s fun yet challenging. Moreover, they pay close attention to form and are quick to point out changes that ensure that I am getting the most out of the work that I put into the gym. What really sets this gym apart is the fantastic atmosphere and the great people that I workout with. Everyone is super welcoming and encouraging and I look forward to my time at the gym every week.
This is by far the best gym in the South Bay and I would recommend it to anyone, irrespective of where they are on their fitness journeys.

Best strength training gym ever. I have been at HyperStrength for about a year and this review is long overdue. Coach Anthony is the most knowledgeable person I have met on strength training. My back had been deteriorating due to slight Scoliosis and disc bulge. The problem with our backs is that they degenerate over time so if I don't do anything to strength it, it basically turns into jelly if your 9-5 job involves sitting in a chair all day. So counter intuitively, you have to strengthen it somehow.
With my condition, I couldn't even do a plank for 10 seconds or even do a few situps or deadbugs. It led to extreme pain in lumbar and basically had to give up. I tried many gyms and even good trainers told me to give up. But I couldn't give up because... well our backs denegerate over time so for me it would be even worse. Anyway searching Google and YouTube I came across strength training as an option (counter intuitively) where sport doctors explained this can help strengthen the lower back. Recommend checking out Austin Baraki's channel on YouTube.
Started looking for a local gym and I ran into Hyper Strength and Anthony. He is like a PhD in strength training. He also has trained athletes in the past so his repertoire is like 1000x a normal trainers. Really love working with him!
We started off with body weight exercises including corrective ones designed for my body specifically. He also introduced variations of core exercises I had no idea about.These exercises allowed me to build my core without hurting my lower back which was huge. The main item we have been focusing on are the standard deadlifts and squats. I just hit my PR last two weeks on both and am at 1.5x (that's right 1.5x) my body weight which is crazy for someone who has these back conditions. So for me Anthony is not just a coach, but a friend. He took such great care of me when I was in difficult times and dealing with constant back issues.
The gym is really awesome and they lots of great coaches (shout out to Gabe and Shane). Strongly recommend Hyper Strength!

I started with Shane at HSC 6 months ago with near zero strength from a rough pregnancy and awful post partum issues, feeling decades older in my body. Shane taught me to set meaningful goals for improvement, and discouraged me from seeking fast results or being overly focused on numbers. He always has our routine planned, is 100% supportive while also challenging me physically and mentally. I walk away from every session feeling exhilarated and have come to actually look forward to my workouts, not to mention the night and day difference I feel in my strength and confidence. Could not recommend him more!

Before I started with HSC in 2022 I was trying to get use to my new normal. I was diagnosed with RRMS end of 2019 and I was on disability for 6 months. I had to make a lot of life changes. I knew I needed to start getting active because that’s what my doctors wanted. I slowly started riding a stationary bike at home during the pandemic, started hiking with friends and then started working out one day a week at a friend’s house. It was my friend George that spoke so highly of his trainer Anthony at HSC. He had been working out with him for a while and convinced me to stop in for a workout to see if I would be interested.
I have now been with HSC for a year & a half and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. From day 1 everyone has been so welcoming & encouraging. My trainer Anthony has been amazing. He listens to me & will alter workouts due to some of my health challenges. When I first started with him, my back was always hurting & I had major balance issues. He has helped me work through it all. He is so big on correctives & mobility and I can say I no longer have that back pain. My balance is so much better and I’m stronger than I have ever been. I never thought I would be squatting, deadlifting and bench pressing the weights that I do. I’m definitely an over thinker and I doubt myself a lot. Anthony will always encourage & push me because he believes in me and knows I can do it. I’m so much stronger & happier because of him. Thank you Anthony for all that you do. For always holding me accountable on my eating & workouts even when I want to fight you on it lol. If you want to be part of a great gym community, HSC is the way to go. Chase those 2024 goals.

Let's just say I've come a long way with my fitness journey thanks to Anthony! I have always struggled with wanting my body to look a certain way, and I was a cardio and core girlie who was never consistent. I realized I needed some type of structure with my workouts and I didn't know where to start.
In 2021, I messaged Anthony. He scheduled a few 1on1 sessions to work on form and programmed me through an app. He will always check in to see how the workouts went and ask if he needs to make any changes to your macros or plan. He's very knowledgable with his training and can back it up with science/research :) After a few years of training with Anthony, my mental health has improved, my confidence grew, and I feel stronger. I live in Daly City and I commute all the way to San Jose just to see Anthony, but it's ALWAYS worth the drive! I also met a few people who commute 30+ minutes just to see him, too.
In addition to 1 on 1 and private group sessions, Anthony hosts boot camps throughout the year and I look forward to those days because of the community at HSC. It's fun being around people who want to see you succeed and push yourself, while being safe. Thank you Anthony and HSC for providing a fun and safe space for people to reach their fitness goals!

I love this gym so much! I’m a very asocial person and I don’t like to actively seek out conversations. However, the coaches and the atmosphere here really get me to loosen up. The coaches are not only helping you succeed, but they’re also there to make sure you have a good and fun experience. Gabe especially has been a great help, he knows how to keep someone engaged and comfortable. He’s really good at making conversations while you workout (which to me, it’s helpful so that I can take my mind off how difficult it is lol). Having Gabe as a coach has made my experience so much better. Also, I have often witnessed someone else doing a workout and the coaches dropping everything they’re doing to hype them up, which is amazing to see! Truly, this gym is spectacular and a membership is so worth it.

Before coming to Hyper Strength and Conditioning, I really was not confident in weight lifting. It had been over 10 years since I had strength trained as a college athlete. Sadly my athletic career ended early because of a weight lifting accident. After slipping a disc in my back, I was told I would not be able to squat again, which made me afraid to try any type of strength training.
Some of my friends shared their positive experience at HSC and encouraged me to give it a try. I have now been with the gym for over 6 months, and I truly feel that my fear of weight lifting has been healed. Anthony Perez has been an instrumental part of my growth. Whenever we train, he makes me feel safe in every exercise and always prioritizes how my body is feeling. He has empowered me to want more for myself and reach my fitness goals. lam doing exercises and seeing results that I didn't think were possible because of his coaching, expertise and support. If you are feeling nervous or hesitant to try strength and conditioning, I promise Anthony will take care of you.
The last thing I'll say about HSC is that's a truly fun and inclusive environment. When you join the gym, it feels like you're joining a welcoming and authentic community. All of the trainers and staff take the time to get to know you, which is so rare when you join a commercial gym. I cannot recommend HSC and Anthony enough!

I’ve been working with Shane for several months and what a difference it’s made to my health. When I was younger and had the time and focus, I used to work out regularly. Fast forward 20 years and my cardio was shot, strength was way down and overall I was feeling out of shape and unbalanced. I figured I needed to do something now because it’ll only get harder. I looked around for a place that wouldn’t be intimidating but was a serious gym. After meeting Shane we went over my goals and he designed a custom program to help me achieve them. 3 months later, 40lbs lighter, lean muscle mass has gone up significantly and my cardio is hugely improved. I feel stronger, look better, and am motivated to work out. It’s been a game changer and maybe a literal life saver.

I entered a 6 month semi-private training with them and during the whole time there was absolutely wonderful! The coaches there are so energetic/optimistic/fun! Especially Nicole, she was my trainer. I’ve never worked out after high school so I never knew how to do certain exercises like deadlifts and so so much more. Nicole is always encouraging me to do more, she is so patient and understanding with me whenever I worked out. She’s also great at small talk so it’s never awkward. Shane also trained me for a week while Nicole was gone, he was also patient and a great guy to talk to. Although the prices are a bit steep, they have different options and multiple classes for you to choose/join. I love both the coaches and their gym there. Highly recommended.

Working with Nicole and the HSC team has been amazing! She makes me feel like I’m in my anime training arc. It gets tough but she helps me through it and keep progressing. I always feel welcome at HSC. As a non athlete with less traditional fitness goals I was intimidated to join a gym but I am so glad that I did. Nicole is an amazing coach (so is Jessie! This is my first gym I've ever joined, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I'm a complete beginner, but Coach Austin was super patient with me, and he even tailored the workouts to my personal needs. Whenever I went skiing on the weekends, he would change the workouts during our personal training sessions to recover (or prepare) from skiing. Austin has so much expertise and knowledge on lifting safely and anatomy and diet strategies. He is super relatable and has a great sense of humor (check out his TikTok and Instagram pages!) Austin is also very flexible and adjusts to my schedule. I can easily reschedule my personal training sessions with him, if something comes up in my personal or work life. I can text him any questions I have. He uses Google Calendar to keep organized, which I truly appreciate because I live by my Google calendar. He also assigns me home workouts through an app, so I can stay consistent with my routine, and he also recommends what foods I should eat, so I can build muscle mass. The gym has all the equipment I need to start off lifting, and it is super close to my house. All the staff members are super kind, and the vibes are just great (chill and lowkey vibes). There is a small outdoor space in the back, and doing outdoor cardio on a sunny day is amazing. They play classic movies on the TV , and play classic music (R&B, rock, pop) which I love. I felt supported, and not shamed, as a beginner who is just trying to be more active and build a little bit of muscle mass. They offer a free trial session that includes an assessment of your body (weight, diet habits and everything). I'm sad to be moving away and changing gyms, but I can't wait to visit! Personal training with Austin has been overall great and I highly recommend! 5 stars!! :)

I’ve been working out with Coach Shane for 9 weeks for sprint mechanics and football, and I’m impressed with some of the immediate results on-the-field. Coach Shane’s attention to detail, quality care, and communication are great! We recently just pinpointed some issues with my mechanics and he’s been having me work on fundamentals to progress through it. He really cares and values his athletes play well and long term health, so there’s a huge emphasis on mobility and plyo.
Furthermore the gym has everything I’ve ever needed in terms of equipment in a gym. It’s clean. Staff are great. And they’re making it theirs. They also play awesome movies.

This is a really great gym! As others have mentioned, the staff is super super incredible: very professional, friendly, and motivated. Been working out with Shane for a month or so. Nothing but a positive experience. He listened to my needs and wrote a program that has eased me back into working out safely while focusing on mobility and strength. They have an Inbody Scanner? that helps you quantify body progress with data vs going off “vibes”.
Everyone is welcoming and positive. I never feel uncomfortable or out of place there. The team is very approachable and willing to spend time explaining proper movement and form.

I have been coming to this gym since March 2022 and have been pleased with my experience thus far! The trainers are incredibly attuned to those they are training, and offer good laughs as well! You can tell this isn’t just a gym, but a community of health enthusiasts, fitness nerds, and on top of that, good music too! An awesome place to begin, grow, and flourish in your fitness journey! It has been a while since my fiancé Alyssa and I had focused on fitness and when you're trying to find your way back, sometimes it’s hard figure out where to start and navigate towards your fitness goals and that's when we joined HSC.
About a year ago, we initially began with Coach Austin and eventually we were paired up with Coach Nikki! I had an opportunity to train with Coach Austin many years ago before HSC, and it was as much a community then as it is now. Right from the get go, you feel a a noticeable difference in the feel and vibe of the gym. Everyone, no matter coach or member, is welcoming and encouraging and you just feed off that positivity. Every person is genuinely enjoying training here. It has been a very comprehensive experience. From starting off with a trial to see what we were getting ourselves into, to discussing and evaluating where we were physically, to talking about our fitness goals, and guidance on diet. Coach Austin got us started on a great foundation.
We’ve been with Coach Nikki for a little over 7 months now! She has been nothing short of awesome. She has been very wonderful to work with as she makes workouts challenging and different every session. Coach Nikki is very attentive to details and tailors workouts not only to what we like but also what she sees from us that needs improvement. For me it was my ankle mobility and stability. She researched and incorporated stretches, warmups, and workouts that helped strengthen that issue. Additionally, she is always looking into latest research into how people are training and why, a well as sharing her experiences in fitness along the way. Coach Nikki’s fun, energetic personality make it a joy to work with her!

Kenneth (Ken) is an amazing instructor who focuses on your goals and helps you achieve them. He sends me daily workouts and guides me to a diet to achieve my body goal. He’s also very detailed during workouts and I’ve improved my form and strength in a little over a few weeks.

I am pretty into all things comic book related and seeing all their decor makes me feel at home. No judging, no people hogging equipment or too busy looking at themselves in the mirrors taking selfies. Just good ol hard work, motivation, inspiration, and fun. I highly recommend checking this place out and talking to any one of their coaches. You can look online all you want at the programs or classes, but actually going in person and talking to someone with your goals is an experience you won't regret. I usually don’t write a lot of reviews but I really wanted to write about Jessie. He has been my coach at HSC - now has become more like a close friend. Great personality, humble but quite inventive. He knows when to push you and when to back off.
He has been working with me for well over a year (all through COVID). When I started with him - he immediately found a lot of posture related issues that I had to fix. He put together a regimen to help me fix them. Can you imagine how difficult this is to do remotely but he certainly managed to do this for me. Now that the gyms have opened up - I have been working out in the gym - and I find a world of difference in how I’m lifting - without hesitation I’ll credit this to Jessie.
I’ll also add that he will not overwhelm you with a thousand things that you need to fix, he will focus on one important fix and make sure you get it right before moving on.

Coach Brittany and the crew at HS&C have been an integral part of my strength, conditioning and mobility program. Austin and Hyper Strength and Conditioning has really come through for me during these trying COVID-19 times. As a person who enjoys exercising in a social gym setting, the cancellation of all my in-person classes was a hard pill to swallow. HSC quickly set up a SIP Zoom weekly schedule and got everyone right back into the workout groove. Austin is powerhouse producing workout-from-home video content, launching challenges, sharing healthy eating resources and creating virtual gatherings, keeping the community active and engaged and welcoming both HSC members and non-members on this quarantine journey.
The best thing that I can do for myself during these times is to have full control over my physical health and HSC is hand in hand helping me with that, helping me set healthy goals and elevating my sanity level. I cannot thank the team enough for their support during these times and would highly recommend HSC to anyone who wants to up their health and lifestyle game.

This gym is awesome! All levels are welcome!! The owner and staff welcome you with open arms; so there’s no need to be afraid! Each coach is experienced and very knowledgeable; so you don’t need to worry about getting injured. I know it’s super intimidating sometimes getting back into the workout flow, but everyone is super helpful! There are different classes from conditioning to strength and the coaches will breakdown each and every workout planned. I've been going here since the beginning of this year and I have to say, this is by far THE best gym I've ever been to. The staff is super friendly and very supportive. The vibe here is amazing and you can really tell that the HSC team is a family.
I went with the one on one option for training and it has been life changing. Before, I was working out, having a good time, and seeing results but then I plateaued and stayed there. Once Anthony finally got me in the gym, it was a done deal! This is easily the most healthy and athletic I've been in my life! I can't wait for what the future has in store for my fitness journey!

I have been going here since February 2019. This gym is simply awesome. This gym is a bit smaller than what you would expect from a large commercial gym, but what you get here is an experience that you simply cannot get anywhere else. What this gym lacks in floor size, machines, and treadmills, it makes up for with its quality equipment, excellent staff, culture, and community. Because it is a smaller gym, you never feel overwhelmed with interrupting typical gymbros who don't want to let you share a machine, bench, equipment, weights, etc. If you are into power or olympic weightlifting, this gym has all the equipment you could ever need. This gym offers a variety of fun classes for its members taught by passionate trainers who truly put in the effort to maximize your potential. Classes range from conditioning, powerlifting, kickboxing, yoga, and olympic weightlifting. If you want to pay extra for personal training, HSC offers some of the best in the business. Also, you can workout by yourself, but I definitely recommend trying a class here. Whatever your fitness goals are, HSC will help you get there. No matter your fitness level, all are truly welcome here.

To put into perspective of how much HSC means to me and why it’s worth it: I drive a roundtrip of 60 miles to go to San Jose and spend a small part of my day at HSC not only to physically enrich my body, but the mind as well. When you make meaningful, life-long connections at a place (in this case, HSC), it’s difficult to just come in and use equipment and do your routine and call it a day. No, that’s not the only purpose of HSC. At HSC, you make and build connections just as much as you make and build your PRs and routines. As the name suggests, HSC houses energy like no other (“hyper”). I come in and get drawn by the energy of new people from all walks of life and see familiar faces and smiles. The “hyper” to me signifies an unconditional and unassuming enthusiasm from coaches to inspire their members to give their training the utmost best and mindful care. The “strength and conditioning” just speak for themselves, as proven by all the unique classes they offer to foster functional training, weightlifting, and many more. I mainly do personal training with Coach Kilo and she has gone above and beyond to surpass my ever-changing fitness goals. Creativity and mindfulness come into her workouts. HSC is family. HSC is one of my homes away from home. Just like a family, we have fun gatherings, as a reminder that strength and health are not one-dimensional, but dynamic and holistic. HSC summons fun and grit in the physical core but reveres the importance of the mind and what it means to live a purposeful and meaningful, active lifestyle. Just recently, they’ve helped me achieve a dream of an opportunity by training me to compete on American Ninja Warrior Season 11! It was in this instance of their unwavering support and energy that I felt like I was at home with family on the day of the competition. It was an effort on their part that I will remember for the rest of my life. I can’t thank them enough. I’ve been driving to SJ for HSC (for 2 years now) not just to escape the hustle and bustle of life but to train to endure the so-called “hustle and bustle” of life. As a nurse, it’s important for me to stay physically and mentally strong and to avoid injury that the labor of the profession often is at risk for. When you want to go that extra 60 miles to attain fitness goals (even when people question the worthiness when they realize the length I go to for exercise) then the blood, sweat, and tears (happy!) are nothing but the product of something worthy and of high caliber! I was in town visiting my family, and I heard that HSC was a fantastic gym. See, I’m from Los Angeles and workout at Nerdstrong Gym. HSC seemed to offer similar programming with a nerd atmosphere, and I wanted to be there.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that they do indeed have a very happy, welcoming and nerd-tasting atmosphere. Their equipment is great, their coaching staff extremely knowledgeable, and Austin the owner is just down to earth, funny, and easy to be around. It was easy to see how that attitude carried across to his staff and his membership.
My favorite part? When a new person comes in for a class, a coach works with them that first day. I signed up for Olympic Weightlifting, and Kolin the Coach helped me work on the Snatch, which is always been tricky for me in general. It was a pleasure to work with him as he broke down the movements, and he paid attention to my knee, which has been tricky lately. It’s just the kind of experience I get at Nerdstrong, and I was over the moon to get this experience at HSC. I highly recommend them for anyone pursuing fitness on any level. Can’t wait to see them again the next time I’m in town.

I was a member of Hyper Strength & Conditioning from 2016-2017 back when I was still living in San Jose and I really wish a branch would open up in LA already!
Austin's style of coaching is very versatile and well tailored to each individual's fitness goals. I had a chance to try out the weight lifting class and the conditioning class, which I both enjoyed even as a beginner. Each day there are different circuits to keep classes fun and interesting. In addition, Austin offers modifications for different levels to ensure each member's needs are met. In other words, you won't ever feel intimidated because the exercises are too hard.
It's easy to get hooked on going to this gym because there's a strong team mentality, where members continuously push one another to do better. It's all about improvement and everyone sincerely wants you to succeed. If I ever move back to San Jose, I will be sure to become a member here again.

I can speak for a lot of people when I say that Austin is hands down one of the most positive and influential persons you'll ever meet. His energy is always at a 10, always upbeat, and his motivational skills are second to none (If you ever hit a PR around him you'll see what I mean). And he's instilled all of that into the environment at HSC!
The facility is clean, organized and intimate, the coaches can see all the members at all times to help with correct form and answer any questions before, during, and after workouts. The equipment is great, clean, and always organized as well! #1 Gym Pet Peeve is when weights get left everywhere scrambled, that won't be the case here.

I've been training with Coach Austin since 2010 at another gym. A lot has happened in 8 years, he got his own gym, I moved an hour and a half away from SJ. But I will still go to him for a session when I can even though it is really out of the way.
The thing that I love about this place is that Austin knows how to make a community, and make each person that trains with him feel that they can achieve their goals. That's what makes me always come back. I have never known a coach as dedicated, hardworking, and selfless.
The facility is a geeks dream. I love that it's almost like a playground of fun. Their staff are so accommodating and helpful (thanks Micah for always finding the expo markers for me!)

HSC has been my gym and second home for the past year now. I found them through a very nerdy and pointed Facebook ad. I was hesitant at first, but I'm so so glad I overcame my nerves and went in for my consultation. Coach Austin, Jozelle, the whole staff and team of coaches, and the other members have been so wonderful and welcoming to me.
There's such good energy there, and they keep me accountable for keeping up with my fitness goals. I lost about 20lbs since the start of this year, and gained noticeable muscle and energy. Hyper Strength is a family friendly gym that provides a supportive and uplifting environment for athletes whether beginner or national level competitors to thrive in. Its not your average crossfit gym nor commercial gym. HSC offers a wide range of conditioning classes including boxing and weightlifting. Private one on one personal training is available as well.
Equipment is in perfect condition; the gym is spot clean and well-kept. HSC has plenty of weightlifting barbells, powerlifting barbells, bumper plates, and free weights. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The coaches are knowledgable, clearly passionate about what they teach.
Both gym hours and monthly price are convenient for college students such as myself since my classes usually end by noon. I started going to HSC in September and I’ve already dropped 3% body fat and gained 3 lbs of lean mass. I feel so motivated and welcomed at HSC. I couldn’t imagine lifting anywhere else.
Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re sick of commercial gyms or crossfit cults.

Over the past 5 months, HSC has become "my gym". I feel like part of a not-so-little family here where everybody fist bumps you to say hi and people yell out your name excitedly when you walk in the door. My own family doesn't even get that excited to see me.
Comparing my experience here to tons of studios and commercial gyms I've been to, staff + members + events = amazing community.
STAFF
Austin (the owner) teaches some mean cardio and boxing classes to get you in shape where I almost passed out the first time I went. Ivy will kick your butt in a$$ class and then spend time helping you individually to correct your pull-up form. Kim does all things powerlifting and will hold you to the highest standard as she cheers you on when you bench more than you thought you could. Tim does all things Olympic weightlifting and super patiently tells you time and time again how you need to stop holding the barbell like you're about to mic drop. Myra is the in-house physical therapist and does a weekly stretching class that helps your muscles release through a series of challenging movements (no laying around here!). Plus Arthur, Jessie, Kolin, and the rest of the staff who do an amazing job supporting members and making sure HSC is running smoothly.
All of this matters because I've been to studios where I got yelled at for not following/understanding the instructor's direction. (Thankfully, Tim never yells at me for misreading BTN as "below the knee" and not "below the neck". -_- ) If you're serious about improving in something, a coach will help put together a customized plan for you. There's even a Facebook group where the coaches do weekly check-ins!
MEMBERS
People actually made an effort to introduce themselves and say hi. I progressed in large part to both getting help and tips from other members and being inspired by watching the gains that everyone else was making. Knowing that I'll be seeing the same set of people 3x a week makes me feel accountable in actually showing up to the gym consistently.
EVENTS
There was an Olympic lifting meet in East Bay recently, and it was awesome to see so many members of the gym show up to support other members who had been training for months to compete for the first time. HSC even held a mock powerlifting meet to help beginners feel good about competing! On top of just meets, HSC hosts holiday parties and tons of social events throughout the year.
A friend tried to convince me to join Equinox (hello, Eucalyptus towels!), but when I went, nobody was there to correct my form or made sure I knew what I was doing. Nobody was chatting between sets about random stuff like the best way to tie up long hair. At the end of the day, no amount of Kiehl's products can replace the community here.

Having met the head coach/gym owner Austin before HSC, I came into the gym when it started, hoping for the best. I had known him to be an amazing conditioning coach and he was the one who fostered my love of powerlifting.
The gym is nearing its second year in a couple months and I can truly say my expectations have been completely blown out of the water. On the powerlifting side, I have had several coaches mentor me at HSC. I've watched my lift totals rise higher and higher. On the conditioning side, I've had coaches teach me to love the intensity of it all. Conditioning classes are never boring and I've always felt challenged.
Classes aside, what I find to be the best quality of this gym is the community. In every class, there's a sense of camaraderie. We cheer each other on through each set or each lap. When I'm tired and want to sleep after a long work day and commute, knowing that I have a group of friends and coaches at the gym helps motivate me to come in.

I've been working out with Austin, the owner, for close to 10 years. So when he finally reached a goal of opening his own gym I became a member and it's been a fun ride ever since HSC opened.
Personally I've dropped close to 30 pounds over the course of a year and a half. Then again I'm here about 20 hours a week. I was referred to HSC by coworkers and after witnessing a few of the members go through their first powerlifting meet, observing the support of other HSC members and Coach Austin's enthusiasm; I was motivated to check out the gym and brought my fiancé along. Although, I was worried about the cost of membership, my fiancé and I joined after experiencing a few classes! We considered this to be a great investment in continuing our healthy lifestyle.
It was not only the classes that got us hooked, but the overall atmosphere. All coaches, staff, and members are very welcoming and there is a huge comradery among everyone. In my short few months there, I have been challenged by trying new sports, exercises and joining gym challenges to enable healthy habits daily. Coach Austin and staff also create creative ways to keep members active and accountable even outside of the gym. They care about your progress/goals and you feel motivated to put in the work as well.
Also, if you are someone who has trouble coming up with your own workout to do at a commercial gym, then this place may be for you. There is already a workout established for you with no thinking required. You put on a good sweat, challenge your body's capabilities and have fun doing it! I say, even if you are a bit curious, come through and check the gym out, take a couple classes and go from there... though, I think you'll agree that you'll want to stay and join the rest of us who love coming here!
So, for all beginning and experienced lifters, non-lifters, and you want to take your next step towards healthy living habits, come by and check it out! In addition, if you are an aspiring powerlifter, or want to learn fundamentals in olympic lifting...I would highly recommend coming here for all the newbies to these sports.

I can't say enough about the atmosphere here. Whether you're a newcomer, a veteran, somebody who's skipped in months, or somebody who goes every day, the sense of camaraderie displayed in each of this gym's classes is second to none. Featured in Men's Health, Coach Toloza is one of the best in the business and while he can be training avengers and guardians, he takes the time to teach the basics and more advanced techniques to people around the greater community, young or old. I can't recommend this gym enough!

I never power lifted before coming here and now I love it! The atmosphere is awesome and super welcoming. It's also very motivational as people cheer you on after a good lift!
I mainly take the powerlifting classes because I get out of work late. As a beginner, they show you the basics on the three major lifts (squats, bench and deadlift) and how to have proper form, breathing and etc.
I've done the conditioning classes and boy.. they really work you out! It's cool though also because I've learned some very fun exercises from different coaches. It's great to attend the classes especially when you don't really have time to make your own work out.
I've definitely gotten stronger after working out here and I plan to surpass more expectations

I have been going to this gym since they opened. I was hesitant at first because I was intimidated with group based workouts. After the first day, I was hooked. Now my wife and I go on a regular basis. This place is like no other. Everyone checks their egos in at the door. All the members are super friendly and the staff is second to none. This place is a hidden gem!

I started coming here last year May 2016 and didn't know what to expect. I am actually intimidated by gyms once I see all the muscle peeps weight lifting and showing off their workout. First time I walked inside Austin's gym for a trial membership, everyone was very helpful and welcoming. There were no pressure or someone calling your phone almost every damn day and bugging you to sign up from Austin's staff which I appreciated very much. The gym is small in size, cozy, and introvert friendly which was a plus for me! You have the option to take conditioning classes or weight lifting programs that are taught by Austin and his staff. I've been taking the conditioning class due to some nagging beach volleyball related injuries and working my way up to weight lifting in the near future. I am also taking it for to get in shape.
So far I had lost 20lbs (with the workouts installed by Austin and proper nutrition) and still working on losing more. Every member here are super cool to work out with and also very helpful. The classes are always challenging and pushes you to your limits. You will never feel alone or abandoned. They will encourage you to push yourself. I definitely recommend Hyper Strength and Conditioning to all the underdogs out there. This is the only gym that I joined that makes me feel appreciated for all my hard work. Come and check it out!

Austin and other coaches give really great conditioning and strength training routines everyday and make sure that everyone does the exercises with the right form. This is one of the best fitness program I've ever been at. Thank you! HSC rocks!!
