ICON FIT WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOUR CARD AFTER YOU CANCEL IN WRITING!!! I was a members of Icon Fit for 3 years and as a gym is is 3 ⭐️…same price as John Reed with less amenities and gym space but as a gym if it just fine. I canceled my membership TWICE in writing and they have charged me monthly for over 8 months. I have had to report them for fraudulent charges TWICE and they have continued to charge me 9.99$ a month for the last 3 months as “ABC FITNESS”…be warned and do NOT sign up here.

Overall this Gym is great, amenities is okay. Steam room is not the cleanest and doesn’t always work. Sauna is very nice, but I saw someone come in with shoes on which is a big no. Towel service is amazing. For the price, they should do a little better and be more strict when it comes to wearing shoes in the sauna.

Everything is perfect, except for their showers and their weekend hours. Considering many of the active members here are career-professionals, those are very important qualities this gym lacks. Still love it here tho

I just moved to town, and have been shopping around for a new gym. I saw that IconFit had a 1 day trial available, so I decided to give it a shot. All I had to do was show up and provide my out of state ID and they gave me access to the gym all day! There was a massive selection of equipment to use, and I had a fantastic workout. Donovan at the front desk was super helpful and friendly as well. Would definitely recommend this gym.

Nice space with all you could ask for in a gym (classes, machines, plenty of free weights). Pricing is reasonable with no year long contracts. Parking is easy. Men's bathroom is passable from a cleanliness standpoint, but is one of the bigger opportunity areas for improvement.

Been going here for a few years and love this gym! It’s medium sized with clean equipment and little to no influencers clogging up spaces. Most members have the ‘get-in-and-get out’ mindset that keeps most equipment free when you need it. Friendly staff are also always available to help as well! It’s everything I need from a local gym 😁

Decent gym, it’s a little small for the price point which is $175 on a monthly basis. It’s one floor, super friendly staff and the main benefits are eucalyptus chilled towels, one communal cold plunge tub for men and one for women. They have a policy that says you need to schedule a time for the cold plunge but when I got there and asked, they said don’t worry about it. They also have a sauna and steam room. I’m not sure what water is used for the steam room so I never used it and the sauna is nice but only takes 6 at a time. The community of people who go here is really great. My only real qualm is the 30 day notice before leaving the gym. You have to let them know 30 days before you want to leave which allows them to bill you extra. I gave a 30 day notice on the 15th of April and apparently my renewal date was the 12th of May so even though I gave plenty of advance notice, it’s their “policy” to charge me a prorated rate for the extra two days that I didn’t even use which left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall - good gym, strange policies, my opinion; not worth the price unless $175 is nothing to you and you really like the vibe. I’d happily pay $150 month to month… but tariffs I guess. Am I right.

I like the gym alot they just don't have close to as many plates as they need. Constantly waiting for plates for my weights. If 2 people r leg pressing it's every plate in the gym.

I've been a member of IconFit for around 2.5 years. There's a lot to like about it from a personal standpoint: 2 minutes drive or 15-20 minutes walk from my house, easy parking, pleasant aesthetically, and recently some top notch new cardio machines have been installed. It's clean and very convenient and I like how most members are all business about workouts and not standing around socializing as much like at other gyms, such as Equinox.

An area to improve would be to turn down the music, especially considering there are speakers circling the gym and close to wherever a member would work out. Auditory health is an important part of overall fitness and health and this is a health club, yes?

IconFit has been an amazing gym. I was only able to workout there for about 4-5 months, but during that time they were consistently adding newer equipment. It was never too crowded and always kept clean. The locker room, sauna, and showers were always clean as well. The front desk and the membership team were always nice and helpful.

I was forced to cancel my membership due to a change in my work location, and they were extremely accommodating.

Highly recommend!

This is my favorite gym of all time. I’ve done 24, Gold’s, and LA Fitness over the years and it’s not even close. I signed up in 2015 when it was David Barton then came back in 2024 - wish I did it sooner! IconFit’s staff not only sets a golden standard for gyms, but also with customer service for business. They are super knowledgeable and make me feel at home. The gym is always clean, has towel service plus refreshing eucalyptus ones, and there is plenty of equipment with usually short maintenance time.

Tips to note:
- Bringing your own lock will save you time and hassle over borrowing from the front desk ($6 Master Lock Black Combination Padlock for Luggage on Amazon)
- 2 hour parking validation on weeknights, 3 if you ask nicely (don’t be shy)
- Shower before using the cold plunge (self explanatory…)

If you are serious about health and SAVING TIME then this is the place for you.

IconFit was the second gym I joined in Los Angeles and it was about everything you could ask for in a gym. Equipment was always available even while busy and the additional amenities (filtered water machines, sauna, etc.) were great. The best part about the place, though, was the people. It was a joy to be able to come in and talk with friends I've made for a brief moment before heading to work out. Some days I enjoyed coming to the gym just to be able to talk to the gym folks. I'd recommend IconFit to anyone who wants to have a luxurious gym experience in a friendly, personable environment. Thanks for everything!

Love the gym. Huge issue is the jacuzzi has not worked properly since October of 2023, the steam room is a hit and miss with the temperature. The Cold Plunge is great, but most of the younger ladies do not shower before getting into it, which is required.

It's 2024. How hard is it to put a pricing list on your website?

That's rhetorical, but my first impression is that your gym is already playing stupid games with your clients rather than be upfront on what to expect.

Can't wait for the canned response from the owner. I don't care. Be better than this as a business, especially when it is obvious your gym is more expensive than others.

This gym is the absolute best bang for your buck in Los Angeles. I’ve been a member everywhere from LA Sports Club to Equinox over the years and this club stands up to them both for a fraction of the cost. Parking is ridiculously easy and free, the staff is helpful, friendly and polite, the machines are well maintained and there is tons of space to do your own thing without being on top of anyone. I usually work out around 6 pm which for most gyms is the busiest of times but I hardly ever wait for a machine. Although the vibe of other members is friendly and considerate, everyone is there to work out and pretty much keep to themselves, which I appreciate. They have a ton of amenities including a new cold plunge bath. 🥶 Although I’m not much of a class person, according to my wife, they have some great offerings comparable to what you would find on ClassPass.

I’ve been going to this gym since 2017 and this review is way overdue. This place has become my sanctuary. If you’re a regular gym goer you’d understand when I say I’m in love with this place. It’s extremely clean. The workers are CONSTANTLY cleaning the machines and the locker rooms. There’s an amazing sauna and steam room. The showers and bathrooms are spotless. Warm and fresh towels are always available at your disposal. Most importantly this place attracts very good and respectful people . Most of the demographic are young professionals. People usually keep to themselves but if you approach them they’re very friendly . I went to LA fitness up the street and couldn’t bear to even finish the workout. Way too many people bothering you, too many people waiting for the machines . If you’re looking for a quiet place where people are serious about working out but also friendly and respectful, this is the right place. You’ll get the luxury of Equinox for a third of the price.
Antonia is the most amazing manager. Steve is incredibly kind. Alberto is always adding his incredible and creative touch during the holidays and events throughout the year. Dan is so sweet. I love all the amazing trainers whom I see every time and greet you with the greatest smile and always so personable. These people have truly become my other family . Thank you Icon Fit for keeping me fit and sane all these years.

I LOVE this gym! I have been a member for almost three years, and IconFit has become a home away from home for me, a place where I can enjoy a great workout in a motivating and clean environment. There is a great variety of strength training equipment, and I never have to wait to use any of the equipment. I love the community and ambiance here! Definitely one of the best gyms on the westside, if not all of LA!

This is the BEST GYM! The people that are complaining about the cleanliness are all men, and the cleaning staff do their best to maintain a nice facility but men just seem to be more dirtier than women. The women’s locker room is spotless! The staff are amazing, the amenities are great and I love that they have multiple machines for things like cable, leg machine etc. They have 4 squat racks and 2 smiths!!! Like freakin rad. Most gym don’t have that.
Plus all the free classes they have are amazing.

★ 2

Just okay. Thought this would be a more high end gym considering it costs 4x more than my previous gym.

Probably won't continue my membership because of the loud music, Its way too loud every day. The staff plays horrible EDM music with heavy bass and you can't even hear your own music. God forbid you want to listen to a podcast. The Thursday boxing also class keeps the door wide open with the music full volume and it's literally like listening to 3 songs at once.

Ive asked the staff to turn down the music, which they do but they're usually busy chatting with friends or playing pool. Usually tough to find someone working during evenings.

The layout is also interesting. Like a poor use of space. And always seems like you're gonna run into someone especially near the squat racks.

Source: Google

James V

★ 2

Value doesn't seem to be there. It feels pretty similar to LA Fitness down the street, same quality of equipment, just as packed but with a steam room and towel service. Doesn't justify the 4x cost.

The loud music is what bothers me the most because I can't listen to my own music. Literally 99% of people have headphones in. I don't know why they keep the volume and bass so loud.

Bathroom floors are slippery. There are pools of water that you can't see. It's weird they haven't invested in rubber mats.

A lot of machines are too crammed together. Not kidding, the walkways are so narrow that you have to dodge people. No one on the squat racks is ever looking behind them, there's bags everywhere. And the giant boxing ring taking up so much valuable space that no one ever uses.

Source: Google

★ 2

Perception of Value Is Not There! Disappointed.

I recently joined Icon Fit, and while the gym boasts a vibey setup with state-of-the-art equipment and ambient lighting, my experience was a bit of a mixed bag.

On the positive side, the atmosphere is buzzing with motivated individuals wanting to work out, and the front desk guys are genuinely cool, creating a positive vibe. Shout out to Donovan for consistently maintaining an amazing atmosphere.

However, the negatives can't be overlooked. The sauna and steam room, touted as relaxing amenities, fall short due to cleanliness issues and steam room has had the same main light out for well over a month. Broken lights seem to be a recurring theme, affecting the overall ambiance. A ton of equipment is been out of order for awhile. The showers were quite a disappointment, they are always filthy. I’ve seen the same bandaid on the drain for over a week. Also, the shampoo provided smells horrible but the body wash is solid! It’s inadequate cleanliness, suggesting a need for better maintenance and is low hanging fruit to fix right away. I’ve heared it from so many other members in the sauna that they are disappointed too. But I do realize overall members need to not be so savage like. Clean up after your damn selves people.

Another drawback is the hefty monthly fee, crossing the $140 mark, which feels excessive given the maintenance, and cleanliness issues, just doesn’t justify it for me. If Icon Fit invested more in equipment upkeep, fixing the perpetual light issues, and ensuring a higher standard of cleanliness, this review could certainly take a turn for the better.

Used to love this place. A home away from home. Now there are way too many people, not enough equipment and everything is falling apart. Saunas break a lot, showers seem to always be out of order. But the biggest issue is too many people, too few square feet.

Source: Google

★ 3

Could be solid 4 if the music was not super loud. You need over ear noise canceling headphones not to hear the music they’re blasting. I have asked them a few times to turn it down but it falls on deaf ears (no puns intended). If you see 9 out of 10 people are wearing headphones it means they want to listen to their own music.

It’s a very nice premium gym that is not quite on the level of Equinox in terms of gym equipment & locker room, but it is about half the price, so I would recommend this place if you want something nicer than anytime Fitness or LA Fitness. This is overall a great boutique gym in West LA. Clean equipment and great amenities. There’s 2 complaints I have about the gym.

1. They close way too early on weekends. Understood the pandemic caused the switch but having it as a permanent change will be a major factor in cancelling this gym one day.

2. Wasted space. The gym typically crowds heavily during peak hours (5-7pm) resulting in long waits for the squat rack and/or benches. Removing the unnecessary boxing ring and adding more squat racks / Olympic weights would add tremendous value and keep me as a customer for years to come

Source: Google

★ 1

The equipment and plates here are all a variety of hodge-podge, making it difficult to work out if you have specific lifts you want to do every day, rather than just putz around randomly on machines. The selection of equipment, especially the specific amount of machines is a bit curious, lots of overlap on some, and only one on others. Way too expensive for what is being offered.

Additionally if you want to cancel its thirty days notice, AND you have to come into the gym, which is ridiculous in this day and age.

Dan made it seem like he was too busy to answer questions for an annual membership. I called to get some membership pricing, to schedule a tour and what you get with the annual package, Dan made it impossible to get to the tour request. It was like pulling teeth, he reluctantly answered the few questions had. I was completely engaged and trying to stay excited about my potential new membership but again Dan made it impossible. I stated I'm a member at another gym but I like to have multiple options as every gym is different and has different rules like if you can squat without shoes on a yoga mat to keep proper form and if you can sing along to your music in your head phones without being told to be quiet, you know if you can be a human or if they require you to be a soldier. Anyway, not the vibe worth the $1900 annual or the $200 monthly with the mediocre vibes. It's no DP in Weho, is say it's worth it if you're doing class passes like some coworkers do or spend your class passes at other gyms.

Almost nothing to complain about this place other than it’s more conservative hours. Impressively clean both throughout and equipment. Moderate (but not massive) lockers. All the gender-separated amenities you can ask for. Awesome classes which I believe are all included with membership. Amazing showers, no mold or mildew (looking at LA fitness down the street). Not the best place if you’re a huge power lifter or need an Olympic lifting pad for dumping heavy weight, but during non-peak hours I’m easily able to load up heavy in a squat or power rack for my lifts. My biggest complaint are some of the other people. It’s a luxury gym and there is some expectedly entitled individuals who don’t rack or wipe the equipment. But plenty of cheerful of regulars to befriend. Take a tour. If what it offers has what you need, I can assure you it’ll be executed with top quality.

Not worth the SIGNIFICANTLY increased price that the new ownership group is imposing on members. The equipment isn't new. In fact it hasn't been replaced since three ownership groups (AT LEAST 5-7 years) ago. The showers are terrible. Low water pressure, no hot water at important times, and even occasionally no shampoo in every shower stall. And the gym isn't as big as it looks, as they have closed certain class rooms that have shrunk the original size of the gym by about a third. The staff are nice, but the classes aren't anything special. And the good class trainers have their own sign up lists (on the side) for popular classes, making it hard to get into good classes.

A new ownership group basically bought an old, but fairly nice gym, is putting a coat of paint on it, and increasing prices substantially. Really really not worth the price when you could pay less than $100 more to get an actual high end gym (Equinox) with real amenities.

I absolutely LOVE going to this gym. Here are some of the highlights:
- The owner maintains a registration limit, so you never have to worry about there being too many people -- I've never once had to wait for a machine.
- Housekeeping regularly goes around to clean the machines. Everything feels hygienic and well-maintained.
- The locker facilities are exceptional -- fully stocked with amenities (like shower items, hairdryers, razors, Q-tips, etc).
- The owner is very present. He's there keeping an eye on things at least half the times I'm there, which I think speaks well to the place. He's also incredibly kind and helpful. His name is Steve. He's always open to feedback about his business, too.
- I also had one training session with Todd, one of the trainers, who was super responsive to my needs and fitness goals.
TL;DR: It's 100% worth it. I need to love my gym if I hope to go several times a week. And I absolutely LOVE this gym.
