Hi Ignite Studio,

To be fair - multiple people contribute to the growth of My Son. These listed few just happen to be the constant day to day people My Son interacts with.

- Mr. Magness, Mr. Pabustan, Mr. Farr and Mr. Garcia.

This past weekend a mama friend shared with me something she's been experiencing with her son and it didn't hit me until then that i realized this was one thing My Son doesn't struggle with and a lot has to do with his influences and mentors around him.

She shared with me that her son has been struggling a lot with his self esteem. He compares himself to those kids around him and feels like he isn't enough when it comes to sports performance. At 7 - that's tough. It's tougher hearing that come out of your son's mouth - " i'm not enough".

My Son has all the confidence he has and a lot of it has to do with those at the studio. It's how they have individual expectations for the kids, the way they talk to them, how they're treated and most importantly the reminders they are given that they are all different and you're not supposed to be the same person as everyone else. The leaders at this studio have a way of helping the kids understand that there's always room for improvement but never making them feel like they suck at what they're doing.

Mr. Pabustan said it perfectly this past Tuesday during a freestyle drill, "you're not supposed to be doing the same thing as everyone else, you're all different people" and that applies with not just a freestyle but LIFE.

And yes, I get that this is the purpose of Taekwondo - to teach the kids leadership and life skills but it's become more then that when you have genuine trainers and leaders that find a purpose in teaching kids.

So thank you - for boosting My Son's confidence on a daily basis, for being genuine and for making an impact.

Not all kids get this type of experience in their sports and extra curricular activities. My son is so blessed to have this type of "village" contributing to his growth.

I'll leave this email with one last thing;
My Son being small for his age means absolutely nothing to him.
He always says "just cause i'm small doesn't mean i can't do the same things they can". That mentality stems off of this studio.

Thank You Team Ignite!

Stephen is the best instructor I've ever had. I've watched him work with all skill levels and age ranges, and he has an exceptional ability to adjust his teaching style and tempo to each student. Some people pick things up faster than others and he's always super patient and dynamically adjusts to the needs of each student. He's the real deal! Highly recommended whether you're looking for adult classes, private lessons, or family classes for your kids.

Amazing motivation, activity and development focus has really given my sons an opportunity to flourish. All the instructors are involved, know the kids by name, and most of all exemplify the values they teach.

Amazing instructors and families. The owner Kerry Regano is incredible at what she does from making knowledge and friendly instructors to confident and respectful students using martial arts and life skills. Everyone I have met here has been friendly and kind and I can't wait to meet and make more friends as the family of Ignite ATA grows.
