I'm entering month 2 and my experience has been stellar. I am an older woman who had been leading a pretty sedentary life. Coaches are highly skilled and encouraging, expertly modulating my workouts for my ability level. I’m a true believer in IMOC Fitness! I’ve been coming to every class since the soft opening and I could not be more of a believer of the coach’s expertise and my body’s transformation. They are trained to help with fitness and rehabilitation training. Two very big differences and I came to IMOC Fitness with a back injury and in every class they helped me to modify the movements to strengthen the specifics of my back injury. I am three months in and my lower back pain has decreased, and I have not thrown my back out. I’m stronger than ever. If you’re looking for experts to assist with rehabilitation and fitness, this is the place!

I have been working out for the last decade and a half. From 24 hour fitness, kickboxing, cycling, F45 to pilates and yoga, I always love a good sweat! After having my first baby last year, my core was extremely weak and the recovery process took a long time. My back and neck were in pain from breastfeeding and carrying my growing child. I started seeing a Physical Therapist at IMOC and that is where they introduced me to IMOC Fitness. The coaches at IMOC Fitness listened to my story and reason to get back in shape. They introduced me to a new world of strength training and mobility. Their form correction or cues are the best because they explain which muscles to focus on and why. I never knew I was overcompensating my trapezius, which led to imbalance and painful knots. After a few months of consistently attending IMOC Fitness, this mama feels stronger, pain free and more confident!

IMOC has seriously changed the way I view fitness. I never realized getting fit could be so fun and rewarding. I’ve been to so many gyms and had personal trainers before but this just hits different. This review is for the group classes: Very fun community and everybody is super real with their own personal goals and IMOC Fitness really takes that into consideration, especially for people who are recovering from injuries, gone through PT, and want something more after! A lot of diverse exercises, coaches are there to help modify safely if you want less/more intensity, gym is very equipped and really clean, everybody is really welcoming and personable!

If you’re the kind of person who just needs to show up, be told what you need to do to get into shape in a safe and effective manner with a great community, then this place is for you!

Love the small group classes! Edgar is an amazing trainer. Knowing that their background comes from a physical therapy foundation where they have been helping people recover from prior injuries is so reassuring. I had to re-hab from a serious cervical spine surgery. When I was deciding on what Physical Therapy center to go to, I had a friend recommend IMOC which she had used and successfully treated a serious shoulder injury. IMOC hit it out of the park with me. I'm a musician who was unable to play due to the cervical spine issues causing numbness in both hands.. After PT at IMOC I regained full use of my hands and am playing away. The post surgical re-hab was critical in regaining function, and preventing re-lapse. Once released from PT, I continued my work in their fitness center that has been vital to increasing strength and mobility. Every therapist I have worked with here has been fantastic, proactive, attentive with great positive energy. I feel like they have become friends as well as healers. Fabulous place. highest recommendation.

I love the personalization of the semi-private training. There are three generations of women in my workout group but Chris and Edgar manage to keep us all challenged and getting stronger week after week. The workouts are never easy and constantly change, keeping our muscles “on their toes”.

I love working out with the IMOC fitness crew. I enjoy both the semi-private sessions with Chris and the different classes throughout the week with Edgar. The semi-privates cater to your specific needs and the classes are fun and full of energy. I always enjoy my mornings because they start off at IMOC fitness, and the best part is we end our workout with a chilled eucalyptus towel. Doesn’t get any better than that!!

I have only been with this Jim for a month, but it has been amazing. In a short amount of time, I have gotten a lot stronger and leaner and at my age that is not easy. The trainers are incredibly conscientious on making sure you have the proper form while pushing you at the same time. The environment is great and everyone in there is encouraging.

I can't say enough great things about IMOC. I have been training at the Irvine location for several years now. As a result I have been able to lose weight, maintain and gain muscle, not to mention the increased confidence that comes with being in shape. As a critical care nurse it is so important that physically I stay in good condition in order to be effective at my job, and IMOC has helped enormously with that. They take the time to strengthen your weak areas and try to improve your overall health by warm ups and various exercises for each client .
Physical therapy and fitness is one of the best natural way to treat or manage pain curently than the former treatment..drugs.. opiates

Great location! So glad they added another really nice facility with all the regular equipment in Huntington Beach. Convenience is really important for people at my age who do not like to drive long distances on the freeway anymore. IMOC has made my life so much better because they focus on my physical needs as well as overall health. Three years ago I spent more time in physical therapy with knee, elbow, shoulder, and back injuries and could not enjoy regular life. I'm stronger and enjoying myself now!

Even though the location is "new," it’s really an extension of the program that’s been going strong at the In Motion OC physical therapy spot next door. They expanded the space to better fit the fitness side of IMOC. I transitioned to IMOC Fitness over a year and a half ago after finishing physical therapy after a vacation accident, and it’s been the perfect next step in my journey.

IMOC Huntington Beach offers a semi-personal training experience that stands out. Edgar and his team are truly amazing! They are super knowledgeable and genuinely invested in your well-being and progress. They really take the time to understand your personal needs and fitness goals. There's no one size fits all for the workouts. Semi-private sessions are tailored to fit each individual, whether you’re just starting out or already have some experience. The unique structure of the semi-private workouts is unlike anything I've experienced at other gyms or fitness facilities.
