In-Shape is an also gym facility that offers you everything in one place from awesome exercise classes in and out of the pool. They keeps there facility in mint condition of cleanliness. It is the perfect place to go to destress yourself from a grueling day. They employees if IN-Shape always give their clientele top notch professionalism. I've been a member for approximately 15 years and absolutely love it!!! Within my 15 years I had 2 knee replacements and this facility played a vital part in my recovery.

The facility is always well maintained. The staff I've encountered are very friendly and welcoming. The Facilities Maintenance person does and outstanding job. The equipment is well maintained and not down long if it needs repair. I've spoken with GM David a few times regarding certain rules and some interpersonal concerns with gym members. He has always listened well and made sure all things were resolved and understood. Thankfully, those are few and far between and mostly I chat with him in friendly conversation. I think the club overall is well run and I look forward to working out at In Shape into the future.

Never join this club, it's terrible. I can't cancel my membership. They've made me pay multiple times, lying to me that they'd finally help me cancel, but they never do. Then they want me to pay again. I paid again, and once more they lied. They made me pay for a year and an extra month, and they still haven't canceled it. They're a bunch of thieves. They don't even know how to solve a problem. For me, it's a problem because they want me to keep paying and never cancel this crap. I told them I lost my job, and that's why I can't pay anymore, and they keep charging me. They just rip people off, and the pools are filthy. Can someone please advise me on where I should go to stop paying? Please, don't join this club

Most of the staff have been wonderful however the Inconsistent and selective treatment by different staff leads to the sense of being treated unfairly or discriminated against. Also, the lack of customer service skills demonstrated by the manager instructing the staff to call the police on a customer who politely tried to express a grievance... Assistant manager(Heather) seem immediately biased refusing to hear what I had to say. The manager cuts me off and said "I already know what you're going to say... You need to leave now or we'll call the police..." Very disappointed in the unfair treatment and lack of customer service. Sad to see the managers are worse than the general staff. I advise not to bother speaking with managers about any issues. It will be a waste of your time and only lead to more disappointment. If anything just leave your reviews online and maybe contact the corporate headquarters about it.

There are several things I need to speak on about this gym. First. The children’s area. I get it employees bring their kids and family to the gym. The people in that specific room should not only be watching the children but if they are family monitoring how their kids treat the others. Two very rude older girls who were on the area were trash talking my 4 year old. Obviously related to the employees.

Very disappointed in how the “manager” on duty handled a medical emergency this past weekend. Someone clearly took a cell phone from a member of the gym. When asked about checking the cameras the person in charge said he’d have to wait until Monday. Normally it wouldn’t be an issue-however. This time it was a big one. The person in question is a dialysis patient who after 7 years is FINALLY AT THE TOP OF THE DONOR LIST and is waiting for the call to get his transplant. So the woman working was informed of this because he needs that phone because after 7 years of suffering this horrible disease he’s finally at the finish line. She still couldn’t help besides asking him to ask people if they saw the phone and then asked condescendingly “are you sure you didnt put the phone somewhere else?” He has a routine he sticks to. A specific cubby he uses. Specific machines he uses. So no maam. He didn’t place it somewhere else. And once it was found it was on the complete wrong side of where he stores his things.

Iam so disappointed to be leaving because this gym was good. Regardless of the ill feelings I had toward the employees not keeping their own family members in check.

I will be making a formal complaint to corporate at this point because the medical issue being “handled” was not with care or compassion. It almost came off as laziness.

Train your employees better. If he had missed out on a transplant call because you couldn’t check the cameras until Monday is ridiculous and life altering. He’s suffered long enough and paid plenty into this gym.

This is my first time to come to this gym and the experience is not very good. I saw a man wearing outdoor sports shoes and sportswear enter the indoor swimming pool. It has to be said that this has had a significant hygiene impact on everyone in the swimming pool. Especially for kids, girls and women. Most people are wearing swimsuits and mouths, noses are in the water. Only this man didn't put his head into the water throughout the whole process. I clearly saw that his shoes were so dirty that after getting ashore, he didn't take them off but left directly. God knows exactly where he has been wearing shoes! I really find the behavior of such people extremely disgusting. During this period, no staff tried to stop his behavior. I think I will resolutely change to a gym after experiencing it for this time.

But what I like the most is, that if you ever get the chance to have a training session with a personal trainer I highly recommend Marco Chavez, He is an excellent trainer, he is friendly, fun, energetic, and he will make your training sessions FUN! I have been taking training sessions for about 6 months now, and I love them. I burn so many calories, doing exercises and laughing!

I’ve been going to this gym for almost a year. I absolutely love it. It is a very family friendly gym. I came for the pools but I also love the 29 minute circuit. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and hard working. I was hoping to use the child watch but my little one was just not having it. If I could change anything I would heat the outdoor pool, add a splash pad and have more child watch employees with a separate area for infants and crawlers. Otherwise keep up the great work. It doesn’t go unnoticed!

I really love this gym. The staff is nice and the people that come here are friendly. I come at odd hours to workout and I feel safe. Today the gym was full of balloons for fighting cancer. Anyone can donate for this cause by using their credit cards or debit cards no cash was accepted. My donation was for The fight of Life. It was really special that Inshape is supporting this cause. I like the wide space for freestyle playing, the water stations, the spa, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. It's a relaxing place. I’m so glad the club is opened back up I use the Antioch InShape I love the aqua classes we were using the outdoor pool until Monday the 26th it was one very cold day which it seems to have made the water colder so they decided for everyone’s health they had to stop the classes I was really disappointed I would have kept going no matter how cold so I was back to finding different classes that would fit my schedule & since I’m an amputee it’s hard to figure it out when you can only take one class a day so I finally decided on a couple. Then I got the news today we get to use indoor pool I’m so happy I’ve already lost 6mo. Which undid my prior year of shaping up, it’s ok though I’ve already started again.

Gym is awesome, even while under construction! There is so much room you don't even see anyone despite how many cars are in the parking lot.
Just know they are big on scheduling what you want to do online. As example I swim, and should schedule my lane or if someone did, they have the right to kick me out of the lane.
But really that's not a big deal compared to everything else.

I can only use heated pool, per doctor. Wish heated pool was heated better. Winter, more heat, especially when I arrive at opening hours when cold inside and outside building. This last summer best temps ever gad all years memer. Fall/winter need to get better. I look forward to my time I can attend and pisses me off when too cold for feet let alone body and can't participate. Tell kids it cold, they don't care, so probably don't pass on. Otherwise, got better on everything this last year. Thanks!

A total rip off. The equipment is outdated, the facilities are run down, and when something breaks they either take forever to replace the equipment or they haul it away. The gym etiquette is deplorable. You have a few that are hogging the equipment doing supersets in 3 different rooms. When you try to go on the equipment, occasionally you encounter people rudely scream at you they are still on it. A few times you have guys leaving their stuff on a bench press saying they are using it, but then chat with their friends for hours, never touching the bench press, but not allowing anyone else to use it. The general manager I spoke with also would not reinforce gym etiquette rules. I canceled my membership recently only to be told I have to wait 30 days, and BTW they're still charging me for an annual fee even though I already canceled. I paid the my membership fee upfront so my membership would be minimal. The monthly fee went from $20/month to $26 and now $40. Honestly, if you're at this facility, you can't even use the one in Concord. Useless and a total ripoff. Don't bother using this place, go elsewhere.

I have my things stolen with all my things in there, i was just in the sauna and 15 min later they were gone i asked the staff for help and to check the cameras and they said that they cant do nothing bc only the manager can do it and the manager doesn’t even come right away and say until tmr and how was i supposed to go home? Staff has been rude lately. Seems like they are on a power trip being the only gym open. Will end up losing customers if this continues. Gym is supposed to be a pleasant experience.

I have been going to inshape for about 5 years. I absolutely love the Antioch location and my only complaint is that, because of the Pittsburg closure, there are way too many people now. But other than that, I really enjoy the group classes and machines. There are also many areas to lift free weights or use weighted equipment. There is an outdoor and indoor pool and one indoor hot tub. There is a sauna in the pool area as well. Depending on the time of day it will be hard to find an area with free weights or weighted equipment because there are too many people. The staff has never been my favorite, whether it be this or the Brentwood location. I've never had a problem with them but sometimes it is evident to see that they are not happy and Sometimes they are uncaring. Part of being in customer service is giving...you know, customer service.

They have also recently made some renovations which I don't mind but I know the indoor track was a big seller for some people. In fact, yesterday while working out in that room, people we're walking the perimeter of the room which has now become inconvenient for people using the new area to stretch or lift weights. I personally don't think they should have gotten rid of it. They have also taken out the racquetball courts and made them into workout areas

Joined last month. Specifically talked to the employee showing me around about wanting to use the walking track. It was the main reason I joined. Due to illness, wasn't able to make my first real visit until today. Was told they removed the walking track about a month ago. No one knew this was happening? I feel very deceived. I'll be canceling.

PROS: Wide variety of equipment, pool, sauna, steam room, generous sized locker rooms, adequate showers and separate women's workout area.

CONS: The management needs to REALLY monitor the cleanliness of the pool and hot tub. There needs to be better monitoring of children in the pool area by staff and it needs to be done consistently. Children under the age of 16 are NOT permitted in the hot tub! And the signage is clearly posted. Also, without notifying or consulting with ALL paid members, management decided to ELIMINATE the racquet ball courts at the Lonetree Way location in Antioch.
