I like coming to In-Shape because I can do the 29 minute circuit and feel like I have had a complete body workout. I enjoy exercising at a time when I have friends to visit with while we workout. The staff is friendly and helpful when needed and the building is clean and cool. Thank you!

Staff is nice.. equipment gets the job done. Only thing that I don't like is the limited parking. At this point of the year, the gym tends to be busy pretty much throughout the day. Other than that, this location is pretty sufficient.

Kids zone - caretaker Susan is such an amazing person. My 10 month old loves her. She’s the only reason I feel so comfortable about taking my son to gym with me. She always keeps kids zone neat & clean. Communicates properly with parents. Interacts so well with all the kids with different age groups. She’s has such welcoming personality, love going to Atwater In-Shape because of such amazing kid zone caretaker!!!!!

I’ve been coming to this gym for years. The last couple of weeks I’ve noticed a couple of things:
1. The dumbbell rack is always disorganized and the weight room is always in disarray. Benches all over the place and things are never where they belong.
2. The men’s restroom is always dirty especially the sauna. Also there are times whereas there’s no toilet paper.
3. I always appreciate staff but sometimes in the morning the staff that is cleaning in the most inconvenient times. A couple of days ago the gym was busy and they decided to mop the floors… like why at that time?! And then the lady would make faces of people passing by. Why?!
4. The last part is something that the gym doesn’t have control but just know that this gym has some pervs! Be careful!
The only positive from the gym is that I have met good people and made friends here and the machines are great.

All of the people who work here are unprofessional! The manager was flirting with another employee while I was being checked in. The bathrooms are always so dirty and you can tell the equipment isn’t cleaned properly.

You could not be a member and still workout here. For the past few weeks I’ve been walking in without scanning in. The front desk workers are always in their phones that they don’t seem to care who walks in. Weekdays in the evenings is always a safe bet. I would still not recommend this place as there seems to be no etiquette here. Weights left in the wrong places and people walking around shirtless and phone cameras everywhere. Staff here really needs an overhaul. Can’t recommend this place for anyone new to the gym. Stick to valley fitness that’s just down the road

Great gym. Nice equipment. I'm fortunate enough not to go during rush hour times. The only thing I can really complain about is that the sauna should be DEEP cleaned or cleaned more often in the men's sauna. The walls are black and dirty, and they just remodeled the sauna not too long ago. Besides that I recommend it.

Love this gym. My uncles go here. But unfortunately due to my debit card being deactivated with the account I had I can't pay my membership next month and I do not know if they accept cash payments. I don't see any issue with cash payments . Other then that it's a pretty cool place to get to workout and have a good time.

I love this GYM, my AM peolple in the front are the best! however, every single thermometer was removed from the pool area. Swimmers have no idea what the water temperature is. Even the thermometer attached to the wall was removed. All of them are gone! inside and outside pool! According to Title 24 code of regulations, thermometers are required in pool area. We have brought this up to their attention about 4 weeks ago and no thermometer have been installed yet. Yes! Maintenance guy is aware.

They haven't made any significant updates. It took them months to repair the sauna. There's a lot of equipment that people don't use. They should replace it with machines that people are actually going to use. They brought a used machine, I imagine they took it from another gym just to bring it here so that no one would use it. They offer other more expensive packages which have no significant value at this location since the site is in decline.

The staff is always friendly. They strive to keep up the bathrooms & fix broken machines quickly. The hours are very inclusive. I really enjoy the rewards program. I've redeemed my points for many items so far. There's services I haven't tried yet like group classes & daycare, but I'm glad they're available! Overall, it's just a great environment to workout to stay strong & healthy!

There is so much variety and so many different options to work out that if one piece of equipment is in use, there are at least three other pieces I can use. It is easy to navigate around the gym because it's divided into different rooms better than I've seen in other gyms. And when I've asked the staff for helpful, they were just that - helpful.

Very cleanly and staff is excellent. The staff is honestly the best staff I’ve ever experienced at any gym. They’re super friendly and helpful in any situation. There’s also a wide variety of machines and a women’s area. The bathrooms are also ALWAYS clean and perfectly managed. There’s lockers and a ton of space. Way better than planet fitness who barely has any good machines.

The girl up front who did our tour and checks us in and out everyday is so sweet. She always has a smile on her face. Little things like that make or break my experience places. I hope that In-Shape recognizes her impact on customers in terms of their attitude and their workout. I can't remember her name but it was a really pretty name.
In terms of the gym itself, there's a ton of machines to choose from. It's organized and laid out very user friendly. The full body circuit workout is absolutely wonderful if you're in a hurry or just wanna do something quick. The pool is decent sized and fun despite having to make reservations. My only complaint is that I wish the age to use the facility was a little lower. 13 is reasonable of course, but childhood obesity is a very real problem so they could open say the pool and some of the safer machines for younger kids.

Everything! Especially over the last year, they fought to keep clubs open with In-Shape outdoors in several locations, which I took advantage of. They always strive to keep their facilities clean. Sauna needs to be hotter, also a good cleaning is needed. Hate to see the mats in the back so dirty. Always have to wipe them down before use. Again the sauna needs to be at least 175-190 degrees!!!
