This business advertises memberships as “month-to-month with no commitment.” However, my experience shows otherwise.

Details of the Issue:
• I attempted to cancel my membership 30 days in advance, but the business’s application repeatedly malfunctioned and prevented cancellation.
• A representative at the counter advised me to try again after my last payment posted.
• I attempted cancellation again before the next payment date, but the system forced me to remain active for another 30 days, effectively locking me into another billing cycle.
• This practice contradicts their advertised “month-to-month, no commitment” model and instead functions like a contract designed to keep members paying.

Health and Safety Concerns:
• The club’s sanitary conditions were unacceptable. There were no disinfectant wipes available, equipment and restrooms were not being cleaned, and no visible cleaning staff were present.
• Both my spouse and I contracted COVID-19 after visiting the facility, which raises serious concerns about their lack of proper sanitation protocols.

Your company must have greater accountability regarding sanitation practices to protect current and future members. Stop false advertising you are month to month and keeping people in a contract copy business model.

I enjoy going to this inshape location time to time! I like how clean it is and how they offer many machines to choose from. Also, I enjoy how big their cardio section is and some upstairs since I’ve been focusing on cardio a lot lately. The staff that work here are very friendly, welcoming, and overall make the atmosphere positive while working out! Lastly, last year in March I started going to this location as well when I first started my weight loss journey and it’s been a whole year and I’ve lost 100lbs!

I decide to walk into InShape to see what the membership fee’s were. They had a variety of options to fit exactly what I was looking for. I am into group class training and in shape has it all for a reasonable price included in the membership. They even have a Sunday class. The gym is big with several locations in the gym to workout at and clean.

I use Silver Sneakers at InShape because of the pool. The gym hurts me too much at my age & condition so the pool is a Wonderful way for me to stay active.. I’m really pleased with my experience at this gym. The equipment I want is always available when I need it, which is great. I also enjoy the workout classes, although it can be a bit challenging to remember all the movements during the first class—makes me feel a bit goofy! But, it’s all part of the learning process. What I truly love and rely on is the Kid Zone. I'm a stay-at-home mom with my older child in school. The ladies who work there during the morning shift are so sweet to my little boy. I have 100% confidence in their ability to take great care of him, which allows me to focus on my workouts without any worry. He also gets to socialize with other kids, which is a great plus. The childcare staff will also say "see you tomorrow" sometimes after I visit which encourages me, more than they realize, to come back again the next day.

Avoid In-Shape on White Lane if you value professionalism, transparency, and quality facilities.

The staff here is unhelpful, unprofessional, and poorly trained. The manager refuses to return calls if you have a complaint, and there’s no customer service number to escalate issues. Overcharging is common, and even after canceling, you may still be charged. Refunds aren’t processed back to your card but are sent as a check in the mail, which is absurd in 2024.

The gym itself is outdated and poorly maintained. The showers are old and uninviting, the sauna stays broken for weeks at a time, and repairs for other equipment take forever. Compared to other gyms, this location is sad and feels neglected.

What’s worse, the staff and management dance around answers, and you’ll hear a different explanation every time you call. This lack of consistency and accountability is infuriating. I’ve also experienced a complete lack of integrity—when I lost money here, a staff member told another member to just keep it.

Other reviews are absolutely correct: this place is disorganized, unprofessional, and not worth your time or money. Save yourself the headache and join a gym that values its members, maintains its facilities, and operates with honesty and professionalism.

Attended this gym for years the first time I ever took my child with me ; a situation where I was attacked and almost jumped ( with my child with me) and this gym banned me KNOWING I was attacked by a few girls while I had my child with me. The chair to assist me in and out of the hot tub could not lift my small 120 pound body out of the tub. Two staff members had to lift me out of the water and set me back in my wheelchair. I have never been so embarrassed.

It happened again. The motor is not capable of lifting a grown man out of the water. I hate having to ask for help getting out of the water. This gym is not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

I did NOT utilize the gym but, unfortunately, dropped my cell phone outside walking by towards Starbucks across the parking lot. A member, of In Shape, noticed an item had been dropped and, alerted the GM who was walking inside the establishment. He held my cell phone under the front desk/counter. Later, I noticed that my cell phone was missing and retraced my steps. I stopped at about 5 businesses, in the shopping center, to leave my contact info. The last business was In Shape which, actually returned my cell phone.

It’s a nice facility and from what can be seen clean. It is a busy place and annoying to see people use the machines without cleaning them in between. That isn’t a “In-Shape”, but it is just a thing in general.

I gave 4 stars because there were minimally two spray bottles that are used for the cleaning of machines empty and finding bottles with liquid in them felt like I was in a page from Where’s Waldo. I did give the empty bottles to the front but I am not sure when they were filled. Mind you, this was at 5:30/6 am. The gym had only been open since 4 am. There is no way bottles should be empty at that point.

Also, there are a couple of machines out of order. Very inconvenient with the load of people present daily.

The morning staff are pleasant and welcoming. I would still recommend this gym.

It has everything I need to workout and swim and steam room and check my overall weight and full body massage machines, also bathrooms with showers to use and multiple lockers to have reserved or temporary use when working out just make sure to have a normal lock you can easily take off when your done using the temporary lockers that have mo reserve sign on it before you leave so soemone else can use it. I highly recommend this place and you can also bring a fiend for free by adding the person as a guest and you can add more people as well but can only bring one person per visit or per day, double check more information with the front desk.

If you’re looking for good equipment they have it but they do not have good customer service. The manager Gabe is very rude and insensitive to members. I’ve held memberships at Body Xchange, 24hr Fitness and now InShape. Between the 3, InShape is definitely the better option, but I’ve recently started to feel that the white lane location is being horribly managed and falling apart compared to what it once was.

There’s constantly weights being left all throughout the gym. Yes, this is an issue with the gym goers but there doesn’t seem to be a clean-up schedule at InShape. 24hr fitness had a cleaning routine where their employees went around, picking up weights and other loose items.

I tend to arrive at opening and the gym is already dirty from the previous day. Employees do not take the time to clean the gym between closing and opening hours.

The steam room is ALWAYS closed “for maintenance”. If you’re gonna advertise the steam room and sauna when trying to entice new members, maybe you should ensure both are available and not always closed.

I’ve been sent surveys on multiple occasions, in which I’ve left my concerns and have had the manager reach out to me. I explained my concerns and was informed he would work to fix the listed issues….. they were never physically addressed.

There always seems to be a handful of machines down and it takes weeks for the team to finally fix them.

————On the positive side———

The gym has sprays and towels all around the gym to help keep the equipment clean.

There’s enough equipment to ensure you don’t have to skip the workout you had planned.

Lastly, they’re plenty of areas for shy gym-goers to workout without being huddled up with everyone else.

Great gym and it has all of the equipment you need for a solid workout. The problem lies in some of the people that go there, specifically those with no gym etiquette or common sense. This goes to all of the MEN that I’ve seen walk out of the restroom without washing their hands or those that urinate everywhere except for INSIDE the toilet. I loved this gym but the area is not as safe as it was before. My purse was stolen from inside the gym locker even while it was locked and that member continues to go to the gym. I decided to let go of my membership early and the gym refused to waive my fees. I’m upset because I will be charged 20 days after the new billing cycle even though I won’t be going anymore, this should be waived for the trouble and money I had to spend to replace my losses.
