When I moved to Merced and didn’t know anyone I walked into Tyler from inshapes spin class and felt the warmest welcome,Inshape in Atwater is where I originally signed up and Jackie and staff are so amazing, my kiddo is treated so well by daycare staff they just make you feel like family,I love the gym and the vibes, the Gst location is amazing the deadlifting platforms and the big spacious open areas Are my fav! The staff is also amazing and the day care is great, the newly renovated indoor pool is wonderful and the sauna is hot ! The Inshape on Yosemite is like a damn vacation experience, big family pool which me and my daughter spend much time in summer, open seating to lay in the sun,tire flipping, they opened up the weight runs for more space, the staff is the greatest, so friendly to me and my daughter, there’s so much to do it’s never ending,I have made so many new friends and I just love INSHAPE

I’ve been a member of this gym for a while, and unfortunately the quality has declined significantly. There are multiple machines that are old, broken, and left out on the floor for months without being repaired. One machine in particular has been out of service for over three months and is still just sitting there taking up space. Instead of maintaining equipment properly, they leave these broken machines around and call it a gym.

When I joined in-Shape Merced last year, I found many discrepancies like thick grime on tiled floors in showers, broken soap dispensers, unattended men’s locker rooms, front office attendants and supervisors incompetent and busy conversing with friends while members left waiting for help. I was convinced by a manager to put my membership on hold for $5.00/month for several months and later forced to pay another month because I didn’t cancel 2 weeks prior to the end of hold period. The two gyms in Merced are badly maintained.

Went into your location today to get my charges explained and a print out of my Bill… the first team member was unable to explain the charges and how the bill worked… he called over Desiree Rubalcava who stated she was the general manager… she was confused with the charges and couldn’t explain the charges to me and repeated a $10 change fee that she had already mentioned….when I became a bit irritated with her repeating it, she became very rude and insisted with helping me cancel my account as I was already considering it…. Desiree Rubalcava just made my decision of canceling easier… still never got a print out of my charges nor a proper explanation… thank you to google for helping me figure out your billing… Planet Fitness will get my business when I return from my trip…

Initially joined this club in 1992 to use the weight room and play handball and have been a member for the most part ever since. My family and I have many fond memories of our time spent here, whether just during a daily workout or one of the many events over the years. All the staff at In-Shape are very friendly and helpful.I always feel welcome when I come. I love that I can bring a guest on my elevate package. There are so many fitness options to choose from, that I never get bored. From pickleball, yoga, step, Zumba classes, weight and cardio machines, and swimming pools, there's something for everyone!! There's a community of pickleball players that have become new friends.

I am a member of this club. My wife and I went out for a walk today. We decided to stop in at the Yosemite In-Shape. I am active in the pickleball community and wanted to say hello to the group. I scanned my card and went to the restroom. While I was away, someone at the front desk approached my wife demanding to see her membership. (We had just walked in holding hands) My wife explained that she had just walked in with me and we were going to the pickleball area to visit. By the time I returned from the restroom, my wife was ready to leave and never join the club. Why can't the staff at this club simply be kind to people? We weren't trying to get away with anything! So rude to approach people aggressively like that. Now my wife will never join me at the club. It makes no sense to be rude to people who walk in the front door! SMH

I was visiting my family so I decided to fit in a workout. Enjoy this club because it has something for everybody regardless of your age or fitness level. The outdoors area is really a nice feature. The inside is laid out where there are several small areas where there's different equipment. The 2 girls at the front desk were very friendly as well.

In-Shape supports many aspects of human health, most obviously through weights and cardio equipment and fitness classes which are all wonderful tools. What I like, EQUALLY, however is that it supports relaxation and stress reduction to the community via yoga classes, a jacuzzi and pools, as well as saunas. The G Street facility specifically is very panoramic in its support of the community. You see both youths and elders at this gym as well as everyone in between. I am so glad to have joined this In-Shape gym on Yosemite! I joined other gyms but had no motivation. That gym was just one big room. Not fun. But this gym is so fun to go to. The staff is all so friendly. Michelle the manager is the best. Ed who takes care of all the pools and spa is always on point at keeping them all clean and clear with his chemicals. Thankyou Ed too because l really enjoy the aqua class! The instructor Cathy is so fun and motivates you to keep moving! I love how all the rooms are separated too! I never would of thought of playing Pickleball but have even play that! Look forward to my workouts now!

Amenities like lap swimming, and water aerobics. I do wish others would respect others time when using equipment on the 29 Minute circuit. It is very difficult to work through it correctly and working every muscle group when people use one station for several minutes instead of the 45 second timer, and jump right in front of someone who is actually using the circuit correctly. Especially since the gym offers many machines and weights and classes. It’s still a great gym and has great employees who smile.

Turning off the sauna at 9pm like they always do Yet my bill is still the same? . It’s a shame because i can’t make it to the gym until after 9pm because of work . And The only reason myself annd everyone else goes to In-Shape is for the saunas . I like this gym, friendly employees. There are many equipments and activities at the gym and also classes such as Yoga, Bike, sumba etc., there are lockers in the ladies and men room, ping-pong table inside and tennis courts outside as well. The parking space is hard to find sometimes if I come in the evening, but I always find a spot to park. The lady bathrooms sometimes not really clean, but I understand there are a lot of people using them.

I give a three-star because I can't say it's great or bad. Haven't actually been able to use this place. I was signed up with the other In-Shape gym on G Street and when I signed up I was given the impression that I could use any other in shape gym because that's what I paid for. But not this gym. So I was pretty upset about this. So when I decided to go use this gym I was refused. So I can't give it a one star for this reason because it looks like a really nice place and it has a pool and a tennis court so looks like a really nice place to go. Nothing bad to say but I can't give a five-star because I was turned away.

Overall I had a great experience Member since 2011 and joined in turlock and then relocated and I've been coming here since 2015 and I've always had a great experience with the Staff until the past several month I requested certain equipment needs repair or replacement and fire hazard things in the gym and reported to management and they said they will take care of it and repair and do maintenance on equipment I said ok and this has been going on for months and till my last day there no sign of repairs done I spoke with the manager and she said no one told me I said I've spoken to you I believe and she said no I said are you new there she said no then I mentioned why wasn't the equipment repaired"I was never aware of this issue " I've been telling the staff and management and no one has done anything can you please explain she again told me I didn't know and I was like stop telling me that you never knew because you did and do not want to do anything about it and then she said I'm not a liar I said I never said your a liar then she hung up the phone while I was speaking and this is the service I'm getting from Michelle (The Manager) as a customer service representative I've never seen anyone be so angry and Michelle being a manager can't handle customer frustration accordingly is a disappointment I sent multiple letters to corporate asking for a response why equipment isn't being maintained and we pay a yearly maintenance fee for what ? And till this day no response from corporate great service I can't believe INSHAPE has done this to a loyal customer and during covid corporate decided to remove the phone number completely so no one can contact them directly . I have the worst service and canceled my membership horrible service.

I like the gym facilities but the gym has refused to lower the sound for the zumba classes. Im pregnant and the sound is so loud, its dangerous to my fetus. Ana, the teacher has refused lower the sound which caused me heart palpitations. Very disappointed. I spoke to management but they haven't done anything to help...
I used to go twice a week to class. This is unacceptable.

For this location, the positives: Good indoor and outdoor facilities, and friendly staff. Negatives: old equipment that is never maintained consistently. Not sure if there is a daily walk thru for equipment check, or even if staff would know how to adjust leveling of cardio equipment and rebooting frozen electronic equipment systems. Staff are not properly trained. We've been going to inshape for years and also taking the kids to the pool. My kids are not on the membership plan. Took them to the pool today to find out they can't swim due to the fact we have to add them on the plan. Obviously the guy that signed us up did not do a good job. Waste of time. I loved that the club accommodated their customers due to the COVID restrictions. I prefer to workout outside as weather permits, so I wish they would bring back the canopy with the exercise equipment. The variety of classes with an instructor works best for me. I was very satisfied with the club transition since they closed the R street club.

Stay away from this organization. I sent numerous emails to cancel my membership due to moving. I sent emails mid September and forwarded to their member services and finally got the General Manager to cancel my membership for a gym I never used. They refused to listen, charged me again and then sent me an email response saying I have to provide proof of moving AND they collected another month of membership fees after I sent emails in mid September. This is not a trusting organization. Stay away! I’ll be filing a claim with Better Business and demanding full reimbursement!

I am consistently running into the same problem. They never refill the water jugs outside nor stock the cups. I spoke with Korey at one point and he insisted he can’t help (basically if you don’t bring your own water then it’s your fault) and he said he doesn’t believe they stock the water cups anymore. After talking with the Assistant manager turns out THEY DO still have the water cups. They just never stock it. There seems to be poor communication among team members and unprofessionalism. This overall situation poses a health and safety risk for its members.

It was freezing outside. The outdoors gym doesn't work. I am literally forced to drive to an Indoor gym in Chowchilla because this outdoors gym is very sad. All the equipment is not available either and there is broken equipment that everyone wants to use but can't. The cables have been broken for weeks going into a month now.
