Why steam room never has steam? After installing a different sensor this room never has steam. Sauna is also dropping temps in evening time when Its been close to a year now and they still havent fixed it. Used to have best sauna and steam rooms out of all california family fitness gyms, not anymore. Looks like 24hr is starting to beat now the InShape company.

I posted a review on Yelp and my husband also encouraged me to post a review on here.
It was our first time at this gym. We brought our little one on a Sunday. Funny thing is it was the first day I had signed up for a gym membership in years and signed up in the Roseville location and decided to visit this location as well.
My husband myself and my little one went to the kids area to check it out. We looked for staff and every nook and cranny for instructions or hours and found none. Figured it was okay to go inside since both the main entrance and the second door to get to the actual play area were both unlocked. Do both doors are unlocked. My husband went to check out the facility and I stayed with my little one to have the unfortunate experience of a female staff member being very rude, stern, and reminded me 8 times for every attempt to apologize I was not allowed in that area. I tried to explain to her it was my first time and I think she didn’t bother to listen to me explain my genuine misunderstanding and would just repeat herself that we weren’t allowed to be there. I even tried to tell her I tried to look for hours and signs and both doors were unlocked. She was too upset we were even in there and that I inconvenienced her. When they should have locked both doors or at least one. Or how about a sign that just says closed where you check the little ones in.

I didn’t leave my child unattended and I was with her.
Anyways we left the facility immediately. I left feeling ashamed I haven’t signed up for the gym in like 5 years and so funny the first day back I step in. I am not welcomed.

Anyways I write this review really for parents with young ones. If this female staff member was rude and argumentative to me imagine how she would be to your child if they didn’t follow the rules. She should not be supervising children or assigned in that area. I do not feel safe or comfortable leaving my child there. So please listen to your child if they say anything concerning about the staff. I would never ever leave my child unattended with her. I did not get her name but we were there at 1:00ish on a Sunday. I've been going here for a good amount of time now and to be honest I love the weight systems. It's got pretty much everything I need staff. Super nice. Everyone's very helpful. I do have a complaint though the sauna. The heat sauna is disgustingly dirty. I notified the staff of a black widow in there. Huge one as well but it has not been cleaned in a long time and it is obvious by just looking at the corners of everything where the gunk has built up. It needs to be pressure washed bad. That is about the only thing I would say that is wrong. We're even getting a really awesome remodel right now. But please clean the sauna. Please clean the heat sauna.

Our home gym we go to this one and Roseville Location. The View is beautiful and pretty good options of equipment. I go here to workout and enjoy the large windows looking out. The drawback of why I end up going to Roseville a view times a week is the sauna smells and it doesn’t get hot ever and is shared with males. Doesn’t match the nice looking gym from the outside. The sauna at Roseville is fresh and too hot and it isn’t coed and I feel Roseville gyms seems cleaner. I often see the cleaning ladies at Roseville not so much Rocklin. But the staff at Rocklin is very friendly and the kids clubs are great. They really need a deep clean to dust and wipe mirrors and clean more frequently. I always notice dust and dirt and hair on the ground in the classes zone for yoga and at the treadmill areas. But I’m thankful I have access to both. Cleanliness and comfortable scent is a big deal.

After closing there basketball courts I found my membership non useful as well as irrelevant as I have no need for it. Asked to cancel early because of the inconvenience and won't be able to cancel the membership without paying an early cancellation fee. Don't sign up for a membership for them to do a whole remodel. Watch out for bad business practices like this as they don't look out for the people in the community.

I used to rate this gym 5 stars because I’ve been a loyal member for many years. However, I’m changing my rating to 2 stars because of something that has never improved: the TVs. Very often, half of them are showing cooking shows or other food-related programs. In my opinion, this is completely inappropriate for a place that is supposed to promote health and fitness. Instead of motivation, it creates distraction and sends the wrong message. A fitness facility should show content that inspires people to stay active and healthy, not the opposite.

Extremely Disappointed. Very Poor Standards.

The sauna and steam room are practically unusable — people sit inside wearing sweaty gym clothes, making the space smell awful. Imagine the stench of damp socks and shoes — that’s what you're forced to inhale if you attempt to use these facilities.

What’s worse, the staff and management do nothing about it. No enforcement of hygiene rules, no effort to maintain basic standards. To top it off, the changing rooms don’t have hair dryers. When asked, management casually suggests bringing your own. That’s just absurd.

The gym experience at this location has been pretty crazy. My wife and I a horrible experience with the daycare! One of the employees in the daycare has a history of cursing at the kids! I brought this to the managers (Vickys) attention. She came off very concerned and made me feel that this situation will be resolved. She was giving us updates for the first couple of days. Then one day she told my wife that Corporate will handle this matter. Then a week went by. I haven't heard anything ever since. My wife and I decided to pull our son out of the daycare. That is very disrespectful and unprofessional on their part. I deeply feel this is a supposed to be a family environment but they do not care if they have young kids with no respect and foul mouths working there. I just wanted to address this to the parents that bring their young ones to this location!

This gym is an absolute haven for families. My kids think we are the coolest family ever just because they can go play in a super cool indoor kids play area whenever they want and in the summer time we take them to the splash pad, according to them "water park" every weekend. Plus all the extra amenities for me like steam room, hot tub spa, the Racquetball courts, not to mention all the workout equipment too. I don't think I could survive parenthood without this gym membership.

I have been with 24 hours roughly 30 years! I moved to Roseville and was closer to in shape so decided to give it a try. I was going to switch back until I took bootcamp and VTL classes at this location led by Lisa! I am now a dedicated in shape client , more specifically die hard fan of the bootcamp and VTL classes at this location. The facility has awesome equipment and array of different classes to take. Lisa one of the instructors has changed my entire focus on how I work out because of her classes. Highly recommend this location and the Monday and sat bootcamp classes and VTL classes! Each time I bring my boys to the Kid Zone, I am reassured by the attentiveness and creativity of the staff. We've been going to Calfit for about 13-16 years now and for few years, the service and the facility seemed to go downhill and we once thought of switching the gym. I am starting to see positive changes especially the friendly stuff. We don't encounter them as much but that short friendly greeting makes your day little better. This is by far the worst gym I ever attended - In-Shape Family Fitness in Rocklin. This gym is dirty, always, every day. Each morning, there is food on the floor and shakes spills on the machines. Dirty wipes are all over the floor or shoved in cup holders. The weights are scattered around and piled up around the equipment; nothing is put back on the racks. There are only a few members that wipe equipment after use. The rest just leaves sweat stains behind. The trainers don't put weights away and don't wipe machines after their clients. Equipment has been broken for months with no signs of repairs. Meanwhile, the maintenance guy hangs around the front desk every morning and chats with the front desk people when we walk into the gym at 5:30 and when we leave over an hour later. It took me a month to figure out he is a maintenance guy - he does not wear an in-shape uniform, nor does he have a name tag. Numerous times, my husband and I brought up broken equipment and the cleanliness of the gym with the front desk person. I filled out surveys; my husband emailed the GM with concerns, with no response (weeks now). Several times, when I wiped the handlebars before using the machine, the paper towel was black. Matts are not being cleaned at all. The gym is just gross, and there is no value for the money we pay each month for the membership.

I love this location! I've never been able to keep up a consistent gym habit, but everything about this place makes me look forward to coming. There's always parking. The locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean and I love that I don't need to bring a lock. The entire club is always kept clean. There are so many options that I rarely have to wait for a machine. All the staff are super warm and helpful. I also love the amenities - the sauna and the tanning booth! Love. One of the best parts of my experience has been being able to work with Doug for personal training. He has had such a huge impact on my strength (I actually have muscles now!), health (learning how much protein and calories I need), and happiness. Doug helps support, inspire, and encourage me to stay consistent and push myself. And have fun while doing it. Doug for president.

Hi! I'm so glad that I came in to explore the Rocklin In-Shape Family Fitness gym after a full day of school at Sierra College.
I received a wonderful tour where the Front Desk Receptionist gave me a tour of the equipment, amenities, and services as they fit my fitness goals. I'm definitely coming back on 4th of July to workout.

The equipment is old and needs a refresh. All the cushions for leg workouts are worn down to where your muscle or bone is contacting metal. The gym is very cramped from all the equipment that they try to stuff in. Machines are arms reach apart, so it feels like you're in someone's personal space when working out.

When i signed up, I asked for month to month, knowing I would be moving. The only thing I did was fill out my information while she chose the options for me. After 2 months, I wanted to cancel because I was moving farther out. I was surprised that they said I have a one year contract. I was forced to pay a contract cancelation fee, which was 250.

They would close at 12am Monday-Thursday and 10pm on weekend. Now they close at 10pm on weekdays and 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. The hours need to be extended back to the way they used to be. Let me start by saying we were members as a family from 2011-2019 then became members as a family again in 2022-up to now. Almost 10 years of a family membership.
Our kids are now training at other gyms, so my husband and I looked into pricing for just the two of us. They could only save us $8/month. Wow, no thank you.
One of the reasons that we came back to CalFit were the great classes. Back in the day they used to call my favorite class GST. Now it is called Strength. Well there's only two of these classes all week after 5pm between both the Rocklin & Roseville club, and very limited class offerings after 5 at either club.
So, we decided we would look elsewhere and cancel our membership. We were charged last on September 30, so I figured we would be in the clear for a 14-day cancellation policy. Nope! Found out that it is now a 30-day cancellation policy and we would be charged on October 30th as well. The person who we were speaking to on the phone had no intention of wanting to work with us or even object to our cancellation. Usually they at least ask why you want to cancel. She did not care that we were cancelling and she didn't care that we were long time members. She just wanted to process our cancellation and get off the phone.
I'm very disappointed in our recent experience with CalFit and what this once great club has become.

Been a member for less than a month but have loved it! We joined here after being at VillaSport for 2 months and I do not regret the move one bit! The childcare is so much better here, the employees know and love my girls. You can drop off anytime, even twice a day! I have attended 12+ fitness classes and have loved them all. I think the performance swim class on Monday and Wednesdays is a HUGE perk to this gym (Villa doesn’t have anything like that). It’s like a
Masters class where the coach gives you a set to swim but he individualizes it to each person based on ability. Also the rhythm spin class is new to this gym and I LOVE it! Great classes including Zumba, HIIT, bootcamp, strength.
I do love this place but I do have some suggestions for improvement as well.
1. As a mom of two kids it would be helpful to have an accessibility button for the doors to open automatically because my arms are either full with my kids or pushing a double stroller and it’s hard to get in and around the gym (front door, childcare, and pool door).
2. When you pay for premium it only counts for an adult guest but if your guest has a kid, they have to pay $10. I wish it was one guest per number of people on the account (mom and 2 kids can bring in 3 total people) because using the 350 points for 1 hour of my friend using childcare for kid seems like a lot. Or even if the point for kids could be less like 100 that would make more sense.
3. I do think the pool could be cleaned better and more often.
4. I was told the splash pad and kid pool heaters get shut off on Labor Day. I wish it stayed on longer til October or even all year round!

This place is a joke. My son was in the pool area and went to turn a wheel in the kids area and ended up with tons of fiber glass in both of his hands. Took him to the er and they can't do anything it will take weeks to have them fall out. I called the gym and all I got is a sorry but we fixed it now. I usually sign up my family for a membership during the summer but after this never again.

Love this gym have been going since I was a kid.. one thing I will say is the sauna needs some better hygiene smells really bad, I sometimes take the extra long drive to Roseville foothills location to use the sauna.

I recently visited this gym and was extremely impressed with the facilities and the staff. The equipment was top-notch and there was a wide variety of machines to choose from. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and they even gave me some great tips on how to improve my workouts.

But the best part about this gym was the atmosphere. It was upbeat and motivating, and I felt like I could really push myself to the next level. I left feeling energized and ready to conquer the world (or at least the weight room).

I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to get in shape and have a great time doing it. It's the perfect place to pump some iron and feel like a true action hero (just like me). Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms in my life, and I have to think this is probably one of my favorite. The staff is always friendly, the facility is incredibly clean and I love all of the hand sanitizer available around the gym. My favorite part about visiting this gym is that since it was not a super market in past years, one side of the building has tons of windows letting in natural light and has a beautiful view of a small valley of nice homes. There’s also many large windows facing the front so it does not feel like I’m working out in a cave. we also trust our kids in the kids club and they always have a great time either playing or doing arts and crafts.

When it’s open, I love this gym. Clean, friendly, great variety of equipment and great amenities. The kids club is wonderful too.
My big gripe with it is the hours. It’s a huge inconvenience that the gym closes so early on the weekends. I think that 8pm on Fridays and 7pm on sat and sun is unreasonably early for a gym. There are days that I can’t go to the gym until my kids are in bed, and this removes that opportunity for me. Also the fact that the kids club closes for 2 hours midday is hugely inconvenient too. They are claiming “COVID” as the reason, but this excuse is tired now. I really hope that management starts making stride to get back to pre-pandemic hours

Love the gym but.... I find it silly that I have to call corporate to make the racquetball court floors clean and safe as the front desk told ME to do. They haven't been touched since we'll before the pandemic.

The staff have poor attitudes, spread rumors and talk bad about guests on the job in front of people. Reported it to the district manager, she was rude and dismissive.I’ve been going here for almost a year, it’s disappointing. Planning on switching gyms soon.
