Hidden gem. I like this gym because it's never crowded. plus they have all the equipment you need. the gym being small works to its advantage because all the equipment are next to each other. so when super-setting no need to walk miles to next machine and less chance of someone using the machine b/c its never crowded. makes it easy to maintain a pump. downside, only one Stairmaster, no basketball gym, lockers are old and you have to bring you own lock.

The gym charges a lot. You cant leave them because in the beggining they force you to sign contract. I already pay more than a year for a gym i dont use. After a year and the half at least paying them i still cannot leave them without paying 100$ fee. Thats crazy. Inside they have old treadmills. Planet fitness charges 5 times less and provides better and bigger gymes

I absolutely love coming here!! This has got to be one of the best locations I’ve been to. There are other great cal fit locations but some are a little too far from home. I love going here because the staff is so friendly , the place is always clean and it’s not overcrowded like other locations. The only thing I wish is that this location stayed open later but I completely understand because this is a smaller location and makes sense that it closes early. I feel like I can focus better on my workouts at this location. It’s quite peaceful and the community of people here are also very nice . I always look forward to working out when I come here. Thank you Cal Fit Madison team for being so welcoming.

heyo! I have been coming to this gym for months now and I love it. its small for sure but it has everything you would need. it doesnt have a pool but thats all good because the carmichael location is close to it. and the only major thing I would say is missing is a place to do dead lifts. but my biggest complaint is the hours. closing at 5pm on fridays, and 2pm on saturdays is a major bummer especially since it is closed the entire day on sunday. the staff is super friendly and managed to remember my name! (this is Robert btw) they always greet me and tell me to have a nice day at the end of my workout. cant say enough nice things about the staff. their friendly attitude is what kept me going to the gym for a little bit. the gym is always well kept and clean. again it isnt the biggest and doesnt have all the equipment in the world, but it has exactly enough to produce a hard, challenging workout. that coupled with a friendly environment, makes this my favorite location. I have been to a bunch of calfits, I actually have a rotation of calfits that I go to (mainly cuz of the hours situation at madison) and the madison location is by far my favorite. my biggest thing (especially at the natomas location) is overcrowdedness. and at least during the hours I go to, I never have to fight for a place at a machine or particular spot. I cant say enough good things about this place because it has given me back my confidence and belief in myself. honestly stepping into that gym is sometimes the best part of my day. keep up the great work guys!!

Gym is looking good. I am glad it finally reopened after the draconian , tyrannical, Democrat/CCP plandemic/Covid, 2 year, lockdown ended. It wasn’t really the Gyms fault. I’m glad they opened up and let people freely pursue their health at the gym.

Sad to give only one star because of the hours. Closing at 7pm is too early. Previous response to a poor review stated they will be extending the hours. Now they are open earlier instead of closing later. This doesn't work for those who work an 8 yo 5 job. Dissapointed that closing time is still at 7 PM!

It’s incredibly frustrating that this location now closes at 7pm. Sometimes as early as 5pm.. That’s ridiculous. It’s been years and they still refuse to go back to to their pre covid hours at ALL locations. For that reason I am canceling. This is just one of several really great locations available to CalFit members. The Madison location is super easy to access from either end of Madison; the staff are friendly and helpful, the equipment is great, and the atmosphere is low key - no judgement, no hard sell; there's a soundtrack playing, but not obnoxiously loud. Easy to hear if you want to, easy to block out with your own earbuds if you're just into your own jam today. Great club!

Everyone is so friendly at this club! It really is great to be greeted by name and encouraged to have a good workout. My favorite is the Tai Chi class with Edith. She is an amazing instructor with decades of experience and limitless patience with us beginners. Recommend it highly!

It has a small homey feeling to it, not too busy, equipment is always available. Very clean.
I did hear that the childcare might be closing, which really sucks because this is the only location where my kids have stayed without any fussing.
Please, please, pretty please don’t close it down. Its been great being able to come every day and work out with out worrying if my kids are gonna be crying.

Don’t reccomend this gym. My husband came in to try it cause we just moved here to California. You five days to try it free & the same day he tried the gym he told the woman he won’t proceed with the gym. Well since she never had him sign a cancelation paper their charging him for a gym membership that he never uses.

Been to a few of the cal fit location, all nice and all. But this small homey gym is just my type, not to flashy. I go early morning so its a great place to get in the zone and not worry about walking around people standing around talking cause everyone in there is getting bit in. Plus the staff is very nice, and make feel welcome or call you out if you haven't shown up in awhile. Plus clean, not justbthe staff working hard to keep it clean but other members. Just wish they could stay open later.

I've been going to different gyms for years, and this is by far the worst one I've ever been to.

We were lied to about the price, so we're paying four times the amount we paid at other places and this location doesn't even have a pool or any other fancy amenities. And it's tiny, it seems like there's no personal space

I'm sad to say that it's that disappointing. The poster "voted best health club" couldn't be more of a lie
