This review is for the women that helped me over the phone. Her name is Lavella she was very nice and helpful. She answered all my questions and have outstanding customer service! I hope she answers all my phone calls in the future! I been a member since 2015 I love In-Shape especially the one on West-lane is my favorite. You get prizes when you workout as well depending on how many time you check in a month. Thank you In-Shape! Also Joe is great!

I love this place. I come here to get a good workout and to just relieve stress. I love the steam room and the layout of the gym. The only down to this gym is that it isn't 24hrs. Other than that, the staff is amazing and it's my little piece of privacy get away I have to myself.

I really hate coming to this gym. The parking is horrible. Not convenient at all. People might read this and say but there are other gyms you could go to. Yes, that may be true for someone who has free time. I’m on a schedule. I live in Weston Ranch and I work close to downtown. I het off at 4pm and I have to pick up my kids from the after school program at 6pm, help with hw, cook dinner, clean, get them ready for school, and then do my hw. I don’t have time to go way out the way. I wish they would consider their customers. But I guess you can’t get everything you want in life. I’m just trying to better myself and live a healthier life.

I would give this In-Shape 5 stars. But, it only gets 2 stars because the parking situation is a night mare. Parking here is absolutely horrible. Most of the time I have to wait half hour or more for someone to leave so I can park. I don't bother going to this In-shape anymore. The staff is nice and so is the gym itself. It's the parking situation that is, "BAD."

This location is unique. What used to be a Union Bank building and Downtown Stockton Branch you’ll see that the safe room with the door still attached is now a room to stretch. Most all of the amenities of the other locations except no pool. It’s smaller than other locations. Friendly, professional and enjoyable. Plenty of free parking in their lot or at 2 convenient parking garages.

So sad the service I received. I paid a lot of money for a personal trainer and within the first 6 months I had 5 different trainers. They said they would issue a refund on sessions I did not go to and it has been over 30 days and they have not done so. I was planning on continuing my membership but at this point. So sad.

in-shape is a large corporation with some good equipment for exercise. Mangers at local clubs (Vallejo) are sometimes helpful. I currently have a workers comp membership. My membership is paid by the insurance . I made a six month payment for child care from my own money. child care is only $17.50 a month. after the six month advance payment of $105.00 I received a letter from in-shape, they would no longer accept my child care fees of only $17.50. They now wanted me to enroll my 3yr old child in a full membership.!!!!!!!. .P.S don't even try to call them they don't answer the phones after all of the prompts they make one go through.

This has to be the worst managed health club anywhere. The pool at the Rancho Solano facility has been cold (heaters broken) for a month. Customer Service simply cuts off phone calls. Emails to corporate are forwarded to the local manager who gets no back up from corporate. The biggest problem is that IN-Shape has bought up all clubs in our area so there is no alternative.

This company is horrible, especially the 30 day cancellation prorated fee and I asked if she can remove it because I won't be going any longer but they weren't willing to work anything out. I also asked if they can reduce my bill because I haven't been going for a while and her response is it's not based off usage which is understandable but come on what's the point of me paying when I haven't went? Now I have no choice but to pay it because I don't want my credit to be ruined & yes it can mess up your credit!

I have been an Inshape member since moving to California from Massachusetts one year ago. I have brain cancer with an uncertain prognosis and am currently on radiation treatments. Everyday after radiation I go to the gym to try to combat the effects of the medication I am on.
My family is all over the country. They are visiting me this week and I planned to have them join me every morning.
Yesterday I spoke to a membership counselor about getting guest passes during the one week stay. A wonderful young woman handed me two 7 day passes and said I would have to bring my guests in for the tour, but then they could use the facilities for the week. I was also with a neighbor yesterday whom I had been recruiting to join. The counselor started the process for her but she needed her insurance info. My son is also on my membership and his best friend was joining this week as well. We have the membership which allowed us to use any location in the company.

When my sister, neighbor and I arrived this morning, there was a new counselor at the desk at the Mooney/Tulare club in Visalia. This new counselor arrived late and arbitrarily refused to allow the use of the free guest passes given to me the day before. I told her what the other counselor said and my neighbor confirmed that the passes were to be honored. The counselor was rude, dismissive and was smiling at me when I said I would end my memberships. She wanted money from my sister for a pass that said 7 day free pass on it. I asked to speak to a manager after the counselor showed me the fine print stating that the pass is only good if the guest lived locally, but the manager wasn't due in until 9am. By 9:40 I cancelled my memberships and left. My neighbor left as well.
She was not impressed by the fact that the staff all operated differently and that managers could arrive 40 minutes late. I was shocked by the lack of customer service, the lack of foresite on the part of the employee who was either unwilling or unable to make a customer service decision that would not have lost the company 4 members. I spoke to another employee who said the rules change according to who I talk to. I definately felt the counselor was more interested in refusing my request than she was in the success of the company.
It was a very bad experience and all four of us will be joining your competitor tomorrow.
The company could empower the line staff to make decisions which would endear the members to the company goals. The company could tighten up team accountability. The company should have a manager present during peak traffic hours.
Up until this morning I was satisfied with the value of the club.

This is a follow-up to my previous comment posted below. I have since been contacted by the Regional Fitness Manager as well as the General Manager at the El Dorado club. They were extremely prompt in responding to my concerns, met with me and corrected the situation within 48 hours! The service was exceptional and the personal trainer they assigned me is extremely knowledgeable and personable. She taught me so much in my first session and it felt good to be back and working towards better health.

Mr. Solley and Ms. Shepherd took this situation seriously and made every effort to make sure I was a happy customer - and I am! I look forward to continuing with my training and my membership.

EXCELLENT customer service!!! I recommend this fitness to club to all!

The customer service in the El Dorado County location is terrible. They do not respond to their customers. I would not recommend this gym to anyone - especially if you have a personal trainer. It's been 3 months since mine took a job elsewhere and I cannot get a response from the gym as to a replacement trainer - and I already paid for all my sessions up-front.

This is the greatest gym in Stockton, the staff are great, it can get busy during rush hour but hey that's the gym! I really enjoy this gym and recommend it to anybody reading this :)
