Gym is great. Has all the equipment I need and want. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Only gym that’s 24 hours in the area. Bathrooms are clean just outdated. Manager Kristen set up my membership and was very helpful and full of energy. I moved back to the area and there’s been a lot of upgrades since. Keep up the great work In Shape.

Depending on the time of year, and the time of day, you visit, this is a pretty chill gym. Five p.m. on a weekday toward the beginning of the year is a no go. Four thirty in the morning after March tends to be fine. The front desk staff is friendly and the gym tends to be pretty clean. Lighting is good, too.

Great location, never too busy, and great equipment. I prefer this gym over the other location as it is bigger and has more to offer. The only problem I have with this gym is the men's restrooms. Plenty of time that part is filthy, water everywhere, no paper towels, dirty mirrors. If it werent for that this place would have 5 stars

It’s all right but when you go to one of the newer ones the differences highlight how dated this one is. I only use the upstairs so can’t speak to the rest of the place. Machines are organized strangely (they had two ellipticals crammed closely together for months and then a gap of a feet or two between other machines...why not just spread out evenly?) There isn’t great air circulation in the upstairs cardio area. I don’t think the insulation in the ceiling of the weights area upstairs is done properly because chunks of dust were falling down as I was using the machines recently. Other areas don’t look as clean as they could (dusty). There’s a kind of gloomy vibe because it’s kind of dim. I did use the restroom downstairs once and it was much less bright than the rest of the place. Audio is off when trying to listen to TV so I never bother. Machines can take a while to be fixed. The staff is friendly (but I haven’t needed anything, just said hello). All in all it’s okay to get the job done but could be better. Without its central location I think they’d be in trouble.

This GYM has been renovated as you walk in and the new weight lifting equipment/machines all work great! I personally prefer this gym, because of the Steam Room. Over all a great gym to attend, especially if you know what you're doing. To be honest only reason it doesn't get 5 stars, is because the men's Bathroom problems need to get fixed ASAP. Quite small and reeks of urine and sewer. For some one that uses the steam room and has no other option to have to go to the bathroom after and change/freshen up it sucks!

Relatively good place for working out. I like coming here for a swim, and this is probably the only place in Turlock with an indoor pool. This location doesn't have a racquetball court which the other Turlock location (Golden State) does, in case that matters while you're looking to make a choice.

Needed a place to swim and found it here. In fact, if you are looking for a swim indoors while in Turlock this may be your only option. Compared to what I am used to it was very dirty. The floors look as if they have been mopped and mopped without cleaning, just moving the dirt around. Plenty of loose tiles and mildew throughout. I would go back, but only because there were no other options. Because of what seems like years of unabated wear and tear it will take A LOT to add another star. If you are a really picky person you will think my 3 is generous.

I've been a member for Geer Inshape amost 12yrs and plan on leaving it very soon.
The last 2yrs has been in major decline..
The Pool and sauna are good but everything else is garbage, the equipment is old and disorganized and not enough and inferior to equipment you could find at adjacent gyms.. the locker room bathroom is dilapidated and disgusting

The manager talks to you and treats you like garbage when you talk to her..
Some of membership is predatory and treats you like like trash, and of recent some of the front staff as well,, that was my last straw..

Even when trying to quit thier gym, they make it impossible and treat you like trash and make it as impossible as possible for u to quit.
They say you can't quit unless the manager or another guy is there.. when you show up they say the manager is busy and to try again another day everyday..

If you try to call the gym to talk to the manager about quitting the staff hangs up on you

Great place for burning out those beef tacos, but cardio area, spinning and aerobics classes, sauna, indoor pool, and they charge me 75 for enrolling fee and 19.99 every month, they gave training seccion discounts every two almost and they could star from $30 per seccion. Love the place

Overall its a good gym. Staff is friendly and courteous. Kept very clean. Reason for not rating 5 stars is because when a machine breaks, it doesn't get fixed for a while. Also the yearly "club enhancement " fees are mickey mouse. Inshape being a gym on the more expensive side compared to other gyms, shouldn't need a yearly 30 dollar fee to upkeep the club. Also I have never received a 25 dollar gift card for referring a member. Oh well.

I love the water aerobics classes and instructors, however, there are some things that need to be addressed. One is the opening coming into the swimming pool needs class doors as people in the steam rooms stand and chat which in turn interrupts our class instructor. Then it is always wet water puddles through the steam room to the pool. Need more rubber mats from the pool, steam room, and around to the ladies locker room. Very dangerous when coming from the pool. There seems to be a rubber mat by garbage can to wall. What good does that do where it is? Ladies locker room is very small and needs improvement. Need electrical socket on right side of mirror so women can dry their hair. I just hope this message will do some good for improving the Turlock, Geer Rd. In-Shape. Thanks you very much

I was a member of this gym for 5 years. Staff is very unfriendly, and lacks courtesy. When i advised them of faulty equipment, they did not even put up a sign for the entire time I was working out. This happened on 3 separate occasions. When i went to cancel my membership, they wanted to charge me to remove my kids (so that I could downgrade my membership before cancellation). Then i was told that even though I paid through the end of the month, that my month was up on the 26th due to when i gave my 30 day notice. Also, they kept me waiting for almost 45 minutes, just to cancel my account. I think they thought I would get tired of waiting and say "nevermind". I was so annoyed by their lack of concern for my time. I will never go back to this gym again.
