I’ve been training at Inspiration Studios in Redwood City for years, and I love it here. They offer both Pole and Aerial classes, each with a distinct vibe. Pole classes are more bold and expressive, while Aerial tends to be calm and focused on flow.

Pole is in Suite N and Aerial is in Suite O, so make sure you go to the right suite. When you arrive, check in with the instructor or just follow the lead of others. Some instructors are more hands-on with check-ins, others keep it casual.

It’s a barefoot space, though socks or heels are sometimes used depending on the class.

Shoutout to my favorite instructor, KC. She’s amazing at breaking things down, super motivating, and always brings great energy. I look forward to her classes every week.

I’ve been coming since the days it was called Poletential under different ownership. The vibe has stayed welcoming and inclusive, and it’s a great place to grow your strength and confidence.

This studio is a treasure. Renee, Kasia, Polly, and every instructor I have had here have been great teachers.

Pole is hard. The first class makes it feel like it’s impossible to progress, but sure enough I am progressing.

Also the shoes are cool. This is a space for freedom for expression.

It was my first time at Inspiration, and my first time trying Pole. Renee was very welcoming and very professional, and she made me feel very comfortable immediately. The studio is wonderful....the lighting, the set up, the mood and the music. It was perfect. I really liked Renee's teaching style. It was clear, direct and fun. I loved the class. I did find it extremely difficult (mainly because I need to keep working on my upper body strength and my hands were super sweaty), but I definitely want to continue learning and exploring. I think Renee's class and Inspiration Studios is exactly what I was hoping for.

i love the classes here! i am a complete beginner at pole but renee makes them doable and fun! i’ve even tried out a few other classes like lyra and silks and they were just as fun. all the staff are super knowledgeable and encouraging. whether you are a beginner or advanced i would totally recommend the classes here!

Cola was such a nice and supportive aerial skills teacher! They were a great teacher, and the class flowed really well. I was there with a group of friends trying it for the first time, and Cola did a great job of balancing between showing the newbies the basics and giving more advanced students attention to keep growing.

There is just no other studio with staff as knowledgeable about not only aerial arts but how to teach effectively and have a robust understanding of the body to keep you injury free and safe.

Worth the 40min drive to Inspiration every time! Renee is one of my absolute favorite dance teachers. The structure of her Essentials class is perfection. I’ve yet to take another pole class that keeps me as motivated, inspired, and confident. Her dedication to the details is her greatest strength. The accuracy and quantity of her cues allows students to unlock new tricks while feeling safe. No need for crash pads when we learn tricks broken down into so many parts that you know exactly when the trick is failing and it’s time to exit.

Moved out to Cali for the summer and had to find an aerial studio to continue my practice. Really enjoying Lyra, mini Lyra, and trapeze with Cola, KC, and Jake. All great instructors that push you in a relaxed way to be better. Clean and safe studio space as well. :)

This is absolutely ridiculous! I paid for a pass and it did not let me book a class. I drove an hour to get here and they did not let me in even though I had a valid pass and showed them the receipt. They never respond to phone calls either to refund my class amount. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

As per the reply of the studio to this review I have indeed gotten credit back for the class. However communication was still poor because I had not received any missed calls or seen any voice mails, I had also left my email for this specific reason. And the fact that calls were made were not communicated to me when I kept calling back. Overall this was still a lot more stressful than it should have been. I am going for a class in 2 weeks hopefully the class will be so good all this will be forgotten and I will further update my review then and stars. :)

I signed up for a class for a Tuesday and called the very next day to sign up for the following Tuesday instead. I called 4 times each time my message was taken but no one called me back. The calls were rerouted to a call center and I still haven't heard back! I don't think I will see my $20 ever again. It's a pity though this place would've been convenient for me and I was planning on enrolling for 10 classes based on how the first one went.

Lots of experienced and helpful teachers.

Flexibility Training - Deep partner stretching. As someone who can already do the splits, I didn't realize I had that much more to go!

Aerial Silks - Helps you build upper body strength and get over your fear of heights. Students are friendly and helpful too since the teacher can't always be there for everyone.

Lyra - Be prepared to tear the skin on your hands a bit, but it's a bit like building calluses. I feel like this is even more upper body strength than silks, but you can still make some pretty shapes without trying too hard to memorize how to get into them.
