Maybe I just joined at the wrong time but, I was right to start very small with this studio. The pole classes are great but, they have a tendency to cancel the class without contacting the students, I've rushed over twice to the studio just to be told, "oh, that is canceled today". Or to show up to the last class of the day and be greeted with a locked door and then having to check the schedule myself to find out that the class was canceled. Tonight was no different, showed up, locked door. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ Atleast have the decency to tell the students that the class is cancelled.

Great studio to stay healthy and learn fun tricks! The teachers are inspiring and welcoming, and they always provide students a bunch of moves options depending on their abilities. I’ve been going to aerial silks classes with Mina, she is a super star.

Class: Cyr Wheel
Loved learning something new! This class was super helpful for me to learn all the small things that effect my balance in the wheel.

Lovely welcoming studio! Had a great time learning new moves and techniques at my first session here with experience in other studios.

The beginner's lyra class I attended catered for a range of abilities and encouraged students to challenge themselves at their own level. I appreciated that the individual tricks were taught as separate parts of a sequence to help students build toward a fluid practice.

I look forward to future sessions when I'm in the area :)

This place is literally one of my favorite places on earth. Taking classes here is fun, challenging and rewarding all at once and I recommend this place to everyone. There are a bunch of different classes, and all the teachers are amazing, you learn so much and get a really good workout, I try to come as often as I can, I hardly ever go to the Muggle Gym anymore. A+++ 100/100

Very welcoming and inclusive space for aerial and pole! Good variety of instructors and classes. Parking is available in the back if you’re lucky, otherwise it’s street parking around the neighborhood. Owner cares about client’s safety in and out of the studio, and occasionally brings her dog who likes to greet everyone individually.

Jagged is a great place for aerial classes! I think the only downside is that I don't have the energy to do all of the different activities they offer (silks, lyra, cyr, pole, acro). The membership packages are a great deal too.

Bonus: the owner occasionally has her dog with her who is super cute and very sweet!

The best place to go for all aerial apparatuses! One of the only places in west la that has both silks and pole. The instructors are great and the vibe is chill and welcoming especially for beginners. Jagged is my second home and after visiting many studios in la I feel the community here is unmatched. Having been here for several years now, I’ve had the privilege of seeing many students enter as first timers and transform their bodies and mindset over a period of months. It is truly incredible what encouraging teachers and fellow students can do

This is one of my favorite places!! I started going here about a year ago and I have not been to a normal gym since. It’s great for all levels and everyone who goes here is super nice! Jagged a has a huge variety of classes as well. I had not found such a supportive and empowering group of people at a gym before this and I don’t think I have ever been in this great of shape. Once you take a class here you won’t want to stop. Thanks Jagged VDF for having such an amazing studio!!!

I’ve tried almost every aerial class here (Silk, Lyra, Cyr Wheel, Hammock, LyraOgraphy, Aerial Yoga, and Flexibility classes). I can say with full confidence that jagged is a very relaxed and safe space for all. Plus, it’s definitely wayyy better than a gym membership.

PROS:
-Located in the Westside!
-Occasional doge in class (con if you’re allergic)
-Everyone is chill, friendly, and supportive
-Safe space for all
-Very easy to contact/email owner about any issues or concerns
-They provide yoga mats, blocks, disks, and chalk for everyone
-Very good with absolute beginners!
-Warm ups always include proper stretches and mini conditioning

CONS:
-Limited Parking in the back
(But there are meters along Santa Monica and small streets around the block)
-Low Ceilings (no big drops/not for advanced aerialists)
-It’s more expensive than a gym membership, but you’re getting fit while also learning new things! (See website for current pricing and class schedule)
-Sometimes you share the space with another class and it can feel cramped, but that’s rare in my experiences.

P.S.
First timers get a discount on their first class, so take an intro class if you’re new or a more advanced class if you’re just checking the place out!

P.P.S.
They also offer pole and I think twerking? I haven’t tried it, but I love feeling the positivity and support that radiates from just sharing a room with those classes!

I discovered Jagged summer 2018 and started to go to the Open Gym twice a week since then. I love the studio. So open and clean, and there are many different apparatus. I only do pole (at this moment) but it's inspiring to see all the aerial artists practicing and honing their skills. Jessica, the owner, is truly awesome. She is such an inspiration to me, as an athlete, a business owner and a human being. She is so humble, yet so skilled and hardworking. She runs the studio flawlessly, and it's a pleasure to watch her whatever she does. And her white furry daughter is a positive addition as well. 🙏

I love taking classes with Jessica. Not only is she a beautiful and humble performer, she's great at breaking movements down and pushing the students to do their best. If you ever need training in lyra, pole, aerial silks, or the cyr wheel; Jagged is the way to go.

I’ve worked out at this studio and WOW!! it was amazing! I got to meet some amazing people and work out and lose weight all at the same time.

The owner, Jessica, is an absolute rockstar! She motivates you to keep sweating and smiles while she’s doing it!

I highly recommend Jagged! If I lived closer I would still go there!

This is a great studio. I’ve been to a lot and this is one of the smoothest running ones I’ve been to which keeps me coming back so often. The studio owner, Jess, takes so much pride in her studio and it shows! The equipment is well maintained (this is huge for safety), there’s a variety of classes, the prices are reasonable, and email communication is fast.

Jagged is my happy place! When I moved to Santa Monica from NJ (almost exactly 2 years ago), I was overwhelmed at the thought of: Finding a great pole studio, Making friends and Feeling part of a family (since I have zero family out here). I found all of these things at Jagged. The instructors are top notch, the space is gorgeous (perfect for taking pictures/videos) and the students are all just amazing people. Jess (owner) is also incredibly talented and awesome. I've advanced so much and I'm a proud member of the Jagged Family :)

I’ve taken class at Jagged as both a private birthday party session and as a private one on one student, and Jessica is so thoughtful, friendly, and knowledgeable. She adjusts to the needs and level of each student, and is great both with beginners and professionals. The studio is clean, safe, and well run, email responses are prompt and thorough, and there’s a nice range of apparatus to work on (silks, pole, lyra, lollipop by request, and cyr). I wish I was close enough to take class there more often!

I stumbled into Jagged VDF accidentally when I wanted to try out a pole class. Because of my schedule mix up I ended up at an aerial Lyra class (something I've never heard of before) and fell in love with the apparatus as well as the close knit community of strong and powerful women that JaggedVDF attracts. This is a place of positivity, support, and progress. There are so many class options, there's something for everyone. I feel like I'm in the best shape ever, since finding Jagged. I highly recommend this studio!

I love the variety of different classes I can take here! I've been coming to Jagged for at least a year now. I like to mix it up, so I've been in class with most of the instructors by now and I've always felt well supported and guided through each step. There's a strong community of regulars too, which I always think is a great sign about a studio!

I have been looking for a new circus home since my relocation to Santa Monica and was very excited to eventually find Jagged. The equipment is well rigged and maintained, there is a huge variety of classes at all levels, and best of all - the instructors are good at *teaching* as opposed to just being performers. It is a great community - I highly recommend!

Teacher was good... but I'm not a fan of allowing dogs to wonder around the studio. It's like letting a 3 yr old run around with no supervision. I pay to have a professional class and that's inconsiderate & unprofessional to let your dog just walk around sniffing people WHILE we're trying to have class even if it was the last 15 minutes. Needless to say l wont be returning the next time I'm in Los Angeles.

This class was GREAT. I learned so much. It was my first time with Lyra but now I am hooked. Jessica is really nice and funny and her puppy Lola is the cutest little singer and stretch partner. I ran into a snag with the first class I tried to take here because they cancel classes that don’t have two or more people, but they emailed me ahead of time and I just didn’t check it. I’m glad I went back though because it was worth it. This Lyra class only had 3 people so she tailored the lesson to our ability which was nice. I’m canceling my yoga membership and picking up classpass so I can keep coming here. I LOVE this place.
