I’ve been training with Jay for about 3 months now, and as a first-time personal training client, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I initially thought sessions would just be about workouts, but Jay’s approach is comprehensive - he includes weekly check-ins, a personalized meal plan, and ongoing support. First and foremost, I want to preface that I’ve been an athlete my entire life however, I’ve never had a personal trainer. Being an athlete requires a lot of discipline and accountability and that is something that I was looking for when I began researching for personal trainers. I came across Jay on Instagram (@jaycromero) and what stood out to me was his vulnerability to add in his own progress photos. This convinced me that because he held himself accountable I would be able to trust him to do the same with my progress. During the intake, Jay made it feel as if you were talking to an old friend, and there was never any judgment in the questions he asked. He was very knowledgeable of the nutrients and calories the human body needs versus the extra calories that result in weight gain. I was set up to use an app that included a meal plan, scheduled workout and progress photos. I know this sounds expensive however, Jay has three different plans you can choose from that fit your budget and they all include having these benefits. The only difference is how consistent you have the 1:1 trainings. Moving on, the nutritional plan that i was given is amazing because Jay basis it off of the amount you eat already and the foods you like so you’re able to build a healthy habit with food which will benefit you when you no longer have his services instead of what most mainstream trainers do and that is have someone eat close to nothing in terms of what the person was eating before they began training so they are more likely to cheat their meals and in turn make no progress so it’s money wasted. Additionally, I was partnered with a trainer by the name of Salvatore. He has the same non-judgmental characteristics as Jay and will push you to do one more rep than you intended but you get constant validation that you’re stronger than you think and you’re doing a great job which makes you want to continue progressing. Not only are they encouraging for workouts but they take the time to celebrate small victories like not being winded going up the stairs which is a big leap for me personally. I have had their services for a total of 10 days and I have already lost 4 pounds! Whaat! Crazyy I know and I am so excited to continue my journey with them!

I went to Jay with extreme back problems. He was able to fix them very quickly.
Throughout my journey with him, I kept having little aches and pains when we would work out. He would stop what we were doing, take time to fix it, and then go back to the routine. Every time he had me do a stretch, the pain went away, and he knew exactly what was hurting. I gave him the nickname of the magician!
He was very insightful and always took extra time to listen and change the workout to fit my abilities.
Over the months, I learned a lot, and will be continuing my monthly sessions! His humor with his jokes, his seriousness with working out and process, balanced perfectly together for the ultimate magician trainer!

I've been going to Self Made Training Facility (SMTF) for a little over a month so far, and Caleb has been an incredible resource in terms of helping me improve my overall strength and conditioning. Furthermore, his acute understanding of various body types has been invaluable in helping me put on and maintain lean muscle (something that I've always struggled with as a skinnier guy).

Only did 1x week 1 hr workout sessions. Main goal was to build healthy food habits and walk more outside of sessions. I did not have a deadline, just wanted to lose weight /body fat slowly. I'm happy to say after a year I am down almost 40 lbs! . Feeling healthier, fitter. Still long way to go but it's a marathon and just focusing on maintaining strength while still losing weight/body fat. I would like to say, first off, that I am a very self conscious person that has always been afraid of the gym and the judgement from people while at the gym. I have never been great at motivating myself to work out nor have I felt confident with doing exercises at the gym. On our first meeting, Jay put all those fears and concerns at ease! I have been working with Jay now for about 12 weeks. During that time I lost my mother and had to take time away from our sessions, about 3 weeks (so effectively in the gym 9 weeks with Jay). Although I was not in the gym, Jay made sure to check-in with me multiple times a week to make sure I was doing okay mentally and to offer his support. Upon returning to our sessions, Jay has been vigilant in making sure that I am getting stronger, meeting goals, and continuing on my weight loss journey. Jay pushes me every session to hit my max lift/personal best and to continually improve from the previous sessions. Since beginning with Jay earlier this year (1/23/24), I have lost 20lbs and my endurance has increased exponentially. Jay also takes time to celebrate not only your wins in /out of the gym but also you in general! Jay is always happy to answer any of my questions, have a fun conversation, and show encouragement/motivation when I am doubting myself. I feel that I have not only found the best trainer possible but also a friend in Jay! I’ve been physically active for most of my life with lots of different group and individual classes and personal training.

I needed an extra push to recommit and found @jayceomero fitness. From my initial contact, Jay was very professional and responded to my inquiry almost immediately. He offers a wide range of personal training options to suit everyone’s schedule and budget and I loved that I could commit to 3x a week which is keeping me accountable. The gym where he trains has extensive equipment and is a big space full of positive energy.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed my first session with Jay. He took the time to get to know my past workout and medical history to see if we needed to make any modifications prior to training.
