My partner and I had such a positive experience doing 2:1 training for one year with Benny. We wanted to combat our sedentary desk jobs through general strength, mobility, and building a fitness routine. We trained 2x/week with Benny, focusing on a mix of cardio and functional strength training. Benny met us where we were and helped us slowly and steadily improve. She listened carefully, incorporated feedback, offered gradually increasing levels of challenge, and helped build out workouts we could do on our own. She's also an athlete and Ayurvedic practitioner who understands the many dimensions of our bodies and can help you troubleshoot anything that might be impacting your workouts. After a year my partner and I made gains in strength and mobility, but also built a foundation to move on to other sports. I now powerlift multiple times a week, something I'd never tried before, and my partner has moved on to soccer and rowing. Also--you spend a lot of time chatting with a personal trainer, and Benny is one of the loveliest, most authentic people in SF.

We had occasional sessions with Jae, who is also excellent. Jae draws from a well of technical expertise and will look closely at your form and how you can get the most out of each movement. He'll push you in ways that challenge your specific anatomy. As the studio owner, he's fun, responsive, and kind.

The studio is on one of the busiest blocks in the Mission but once you're inside there's a sense of calm. All of the trainers are friendly and we never had a bad interaction. In short, j+k is a low-key studio with high-impact trainers. I miss training there and highly recommend.

I have been training at this studio for about a year now and I have had a terrific experience. I was looking for a trainer who had experience dealing with injuries and could modify workouts and design programs which fit my constraints. Jae fit the bill amazingly. He was very deliberate and cautious about my injuries from the beginning and was able to design routines which not only pushed me without causing issues but also helped me address my injuries as well. In the duration I have been working out at j+k, I have had the amazing good fortune of working with not only Jae, but also Griffin, Adriana and Christina. Most of my sessions are with Jae and Griffin and they are both excellent trainers with very different styles. They are able to modify the programs to meet the varying needs of my schedule and are always very accommodating with regards to scheduling and such. I cannot recommend this place more! The studio always has a good energy and great music. It is well equipped and a fun space to get a solid workout at!

I've been training with Jae at j+k Fitness since fall 2024, and it’s been an incredible experience from day one. I'd recently ruptured my Achilles and was still in a walking boot when I reached out. But unlike other trainers I spoke with, Jae not only agreed to work with me, he welcomed the challenge.

My very first training session in fact was in a boot, and Jae still found creative ways to adapt the workout so I could begin building strength safely. From there, he continued crafting thoughtful, highly personalized sessions that kept me motivated, pushed me at the right pace, and helped me stay consistent throughout my recovery.

The results exceeded my expectations: my strength improved dramatically, my endurance increased, and I made meaningful progress in my injury recovery.

I enjoyed the training so much that I brought my girlfriend for a few 2:1 sessions as well. Jae adapted the workouts seamlessly for both of us—making them fun, effective, and a great shared experience.

Lastly, the studio is also worth highlighting. It's clean, well-equipped, and set up in a way that feels both professional and welcoming. I didn’t work with the other trainers, but the environment is clearly built by people who care and know what they’re doing.

Overall, this has been by far the most thoughtful and effective coaching I’ve had in any fitness setting. j+k is a special studio, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for expert training, no matter your starting point.

Great studio with awesome trainers in the heart of the Mission. They are very focused on personalized training programs.

I separated my shoulder when I was 19 and it has never been the same. Working in IT for years, jacked up my posture and my shoulder pains got worse. Got to the point I wasn't able to perform certain movements and exercises without noticeable pain. Long story short, these guys are miracle workers. I'm no longer looking like Quasimodo and my shoulder pain levels are the lowest they've ever been. I can even bench press again with noticeable weight.

If you want cookie-cutter training, j+k isn't the place for you. If you want trainers who know what the they're doing, who don't just talk a big game but also walk the walk, and who will customize a training program specifically to help you get the results you need, this is the place.

I’ve been training here for longer than I’d like to say, but it’s been hands down one of the best decisions I’ve made for my personal health. Jae, Griffin, and the whole team at j+k have been fantastic to work with.

All of the trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and they make sure to tailor the workouts to meet you where you’re at. For example, I used to suffer from pretty frequent back spasms, so the team really made sure to help me build my core strength.

I've been working with Griffin for 18 months now, and it's been absolutely life changing. I started after my second pregnancy because I was feeling like I couldn't keep up with my two young kiddos. Training with Adriana over the last 8 months has been a fantastic experience. She worked with me to create a very personalized program that delivered impressively noticeable results already. When I had an unrelated minor sports injury, she was deeply attentive to avoiding exercises that might be problematic, which made me feel very comfortable. I’ve been working with Jae and Benny - and sometimes Griffin - for four months. From the first session, it was clear that Jae and his team bring a wealth of knowledge about physical training. He conducted an assessment of my fitness level and mobility. We also discussed my goals, a current limitation, and the fact that I play tennis regularly. I’ve been training with Jae, Christina, and Adriana for 9 months now, and I’m so, so happy with the results! I go three times a week, with Jae & Adriana focusing more on my cardio and Christina focusing on strength-building. I’ve made huge gains in my endurance and strength, and they’ve done a great job at adjusting workouts to help with past injuries or focus on developing certain areas. All three of them are great at pushing me while not letting me get away with poor form, and they’re always super supportive when I need to sit on the floor and wheeze for a bit.

Plenty of other reviews have already covered their extensive knowledge of anatomy and exercises, so I won’t go into that, but I can confirm that they’re always happy to answer my questions about the benefits of a particular movement.

Scheduling-wise, I was upfront about the fact that I wanted to essentially outsource my willpower - I wanted trainers who would be proactive about scheduling sessions and force me to opt-out if I couldn’t make them, rather than someone who would just wait for me to opt in to sessions. They’ve accommodated that request beautifully, and the fact that they work as a team means that I rarely have to miss out on sessions because someone’s out of town.

Been working out here for 6 months now and Griffin is the best trainer I've ever worked with...he's excellent at tailoring workouts to your capabilities (e.g. if you're nursing an acute or chronic injury he works around it while getting the right stimulus). He's also incredibly innovative in his exercise/movement selection.

Best personal training you could get in SF hands down.

Jae and his team offer a top notch studio with all the gear and equipment you would expect: squat racks, great weights, rogue bikes, boxing bags, etc.

The trainers also offer a range of programs designed for your goals. Griff is hyper focused on mobility so that you are able to build up strength safely without getting hurt. Christina is a pro at powerlifting or olympic weightlifting training.

I came in at 175 lbs and 30% body fat and am now closing 160 Ibs and 20% body fat!

Very happy to have found this nugget in the mission.

Training at J+K Fitness has been such a wonderful experience - I’ve been working with Francisco virtually for several months and have seen a big improvement in not just my physique but overall quality of life. It’s been super helpful to have both a place to train and the option for virtual sessions, as I’m often traveling out of town and the flexibility helps to me on track.

I took a chance with J+K fitness after seeing people's before and after photos on the website, and glad I did. I've been training with Griff and Benny and seeing great results and learning a lot! They listen to your goals and cater the program to fit your needs. I've been doing both in person and remote sessions over zoom in the gym and even dabbled with remote at home with minimal equipment when weather was atrocious. I was hesitant about the remote sessions at first but they actually turned out great! Would def recommend to anyone thinking about working with a trainer for the first time or for those looking to expand on an already solid fitness base.

Jae is an incredible trainer. I worked out with him for about a year and made real progress toward my goals thanks to his encouragement, enthusiasm, and expertise.

He nails all the basics – well-rounded knowledge of training and kinesiology, great motivator, extensive experience. What makes him special is how he goes above and beyond.

1) Highly adaptable: we started in training in 2021 and had to work around COVID surges. We trained fully virtual to start, then in person at his Mission gym, and in a hybrid model with me in the gym and him virtual. Across every configuration I got the same high quality of workout and attention. When I injured my shoulder at one point (don’t worry, not during one of his sessions) he deftly transitioned me to a new routine to avoid further strain and rebuild strength.

2) Great communicator: Jae really listens and is so observant during sessions. He took the time to understand my goals, help me identify some obstacles and then built a plan to keep me on track. I really felt the benefit of a 1:1 trainer in our sessions. He’s also a great conversationalist when his workout isn’t leaving you gasping for breath.

3) Passionate: Jae walks the walk. He truly cares about fitness and his clients. He’s also so open with his knowledge that I came away from our sessions with great education in strength training and my own passion for fitness.

If you’re looking for an incredible trainer, accountability partner and champion for your goals, I highly recommend working with Jae.

I've been training at J+K Fitness for nearly a year now and have loved my experience! My trainer Joe strikes the perfect balance of pushing me harder but keeping me motivated throughout my workout. Joe is also very knowledgeable when it comes to training with a prior injury. When I first started working out at J+K, I had some issues with my knees. Joe thoughtfully designed a workout plan to strengthen them and now my issues have completely disappeared.

Jae, the owner, is friendly and really flexible when it comes to scheduling. The gym has both in-person and virtual training options and is very clean/respectful of COVID protocols. Highly recommend to anyone looking to uplevel their fitness!

My experience with all the trainers have been fantastic especially with my recent experience with Lee. He's personable, knowledgeable and will push you to ensure you're getting the most out the session.

The gear is in good condition, and all the right stuff (barbells, squat racks, kettlebells, etc) are there. The location might seem really dodgy when you walk up, but it's safe and cozy inside.

I've been working out at J+K for almost a year and this is best personal training experience I've ever had. I started out with an assessment with Jae who not only designed a program for me but checks in regularly to provide nutritional advice as well as to ensure that I'm keeping up with my fitness goals.
Joe has the patience of a saint and is extremely knowledgeable .I've seen substantial gains in my stamina, flexibility and and saw a marked difference in my body after just a few months. I love the 1:1 personal attention and that there are never more than a few people working out at any time in the space. Joe created a tailored program specifically to target my problem areas -taking into account my knee and back issues and incorporated exercises that strengthened those areas to avoid further injury

Overall: If you're looking for an effective personal trainer, who will help you meet your targeted goals, Joe is the guy for you!

I started seeing Joe about 9 months ago, post injury. I was a runner, but since foot surgery (and the addition of 3 screws in my foot), running had been really difficult for me. My surgeon recommended I weight train... I had never weight lifted before, and the task seemed daunting, so I decided to seek out professionals to help me in my weight training journey.

9 months of training with Joe, I not only now love weight training, but I've seen a drastic change in my strength. I can deadlift 100+ pounds, my running post-surgery has improved (I'm way faster!), and overall, I feel healthier and more confident given my new-found muscles :)

Honestly, I really look forward to my sessions - they tailor exercises to your fitness level and goals, and it is FUN! The hour flies by. They are super nice and personable... but that doesn't mean they don't push you -- oh boy do they push you, you will be surprised what you can do with their coaching. I highly recommend training with Joe + team at J+K Fitness!

I have been training with Jae for about 10 years now, and would highly recommend him. He creates a workout regimen that is customized to my objectives and body condition (innovating on the exercise sets for maximum efficiency while protecting your back if you have one that bothers you for instance). I have found his workouts to be extremely effective and efficient - combining core, cardio and weight training very effectively with real thought into the sequencing of each set. Jae is extremely knowledgeable on other dimensions of holistic health e.g, nutrition and diets, sleep patterns etc.
I have never been fitter in my life and can only thank and credit Jae for that. So much so that even though we have moved from the city, I make it a point to work out with him when I am visiting San Francisco.
The other trainers are great too. My 8 year old son has worked out with Joe several times. Joe makes the training really fun yet functional for him, for instance incorporating soccer skills into the session (which my son loves)

I can't say enough nice things about the trainers here. I have trained with Jae and Joseph and both are amazing! Super clean studio, well equipped, and very convenient location, but aside from it all, I think it is the trainers who make this place so special. I came back to training earlier this year, after 2 years of being inactive because of a herniated disc, and totally felt comfortable and at home here! It's also great have a small group of trainers to work with interchangeably to create flexibility week to week with scheduling sessions while still getting the 1:1 treatment.

My time with J+K was absolutely amazing. They hooked me up with Joe, a great trainer with a lot of information about the keto diet. One of my goals was fat loss, and my body fat percentage dropped from 33% to 30% in only 2 months.

Their facility has showers, so you can go in for a morning workout without showing up to work sweaty.

If logistics allow, I plan on returning.

I started with a fitness assessment with Jae at J+K in August of 2018, outlining my goals with a PT, specifically noting I wasn't aiming for "vanity muscles" but more overall strength and stability following a period of back injury and pain. Jae put me through a qualitative assessment and review of where my fitness level was at to start, and where my goals could be met and exceeded working with one of his talented and experienced trainers. I signed up 10 sessions to start, just to see if it was a match.

I was paired with Joe and off the bat, it was clear that he was going to be the perfect fit. Very focused on the muscle/mind connection and how I needed to retrain my brain to work in a different way was unanticipated (I expected, "see that heavy thing, pick it up") but yet incredibly insightful. Over the next year, Joe and I worked together 2x a week to strengthen my entire body, develop and maintain balance, and reduce back pain (which we found was much more linked to my hip and leg than anything else). Over this time a residual effect was my confidence grew exponentially, making me (for the first time in my life) able to not only replicate the work Joe and I were doing at J+K in my own gym, but apply the learnings to create some new movements, lifts, and exercises that work for me.

I am only leaving J+K and Joe because of a relocation out of state, but I would have easily signed up for another year or more, simply because I looked forward to the 1-1 time spent with Joe working on my mind and body, but also the immense amount of learning I was able to apply outside of our sessions. I am sad to go - but I STRONGLY encourage anyone looking for customized, innovative, and non-repetitive but challenging training to look no further than J+K. The team is amazing and you won't regret it.

I've been training with Jae and crew for about 3 years now, which should speak for itself. I've enjoyed my work outs with a variety of the trainers here (Jae, Griffin, Joe, Brett, Andrew, etc.) - they are all great. Sessions tend to be a good mix of stretching, core, cardio and weights, but they'll adjust to your preferences. The space is comfortable, clean and casual, and both the trainers and other clients create a welcoming environment, whatever your gym experience. There was a recent remodel of the training space which makes it even more spacious. The entrance is conveniently located just a few doors up from 16th St. BART.

I have been training at J&K Studio for over an year now. The location is very convenient and easily accessible (in the same block as 16th street Bart/Muni stops). All the staff are really nice and have one common goal i.e., to make their client progress and reach their goal. Initially it feels like a very small place but trust me you won't feel the need for more as you start your workout. My goal was to gain overall core strength and gain lean muscle. Though I haven't gained much of lean muscle (partly because of my vegetarian diet), I am very impressed with how I have progressed in my core strength and overall fitness.

I have been working out mostly with Joe and sometimes with Andrew.
Joe: The kind of energy, enthusiasm and interest that he shows in helping me achieve my goal is just simply encouraging. One very good quality of his I like the most is that he makes me do a specific exercise only after he has tried it himself and knows that it works. He is quick in assessing one's strengths and area of improvements and comesup with routines that takes me to a new improved self. He plans a wholesome routine which includes stretching, core, cardio, strength, power, endurance, etc.,. He explains the working and benefits of each exercise. He doesn't quit and won't let me either. Stresses on the form which helps me perform better without any injuries. Oh, I was dead scared about dead-lifts. Can you believe I can lift upto 200 lbs now? Amazing right? That was possible under the able training of Joe. Now, everytime I dead-lift, i break my previous record...haha. I couldn't have been more confident and happier! So much to write but I am sure this will suffice.

Andrew: I have worked out with Andrew a few times. His methods will test your endurance and overall core strength. Andrew's workout routines which he plans for me are wholesome. Always encouraging, pushing me to do my next best set, teaching me new stretches to recover from any tightness, very attentive etc.,. When I am working out with Andrew, he is completely dedicated and very attentive towards me which I really appreciate.

Bottomline, I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who want's to progress from wherever they are currently at.

I've had a great experience with Jae and the other trainers I've worked with. I lost about 15 pounds in a few months and I'm really happy with the progress I've made with lifting. Jae will help with nutrition along with workouts to help you achieve any personal goals you may have. They are very responsive to feedback and will always make adjustments to your workouts based on your goals and any aches you may have. My workouts have consisted of stretching, core work, weightlifting, and cardio. I usually do 3 workouts a week, and its definitely worth it.

I've been coming to J+K for over 5 years now, and love it. Over that time there's been some evolution in the trainers, but every one of them has been great - thoughtful, enthusiastic and encouraging. Jae runs a smooth operation and plainly has a good eye for training talent. The overall vibe is relaxed but focused - they work to identify your needs and limits, and then push them... usually in a relatively gentle way, but with a little fierce spice when called for. The space is pleasant and you never feel crammed in, unlike some gyms. Overall highly recommended!

Couldn't recommend a better place to train with experienced personal trainers who are patient, creative, and acclimate to your personality and temperament.

Every single trainer I've worked with over the years is clearly very dedicated and experienced in their craft and make sure to mix up your sessions so you're not doing the same routines over and over again.

The current trainers I work with (Griffin, Andrew, and Joe) all have different backgrounds and personalities but I highly recommend each and everyone of them. They all bring something unique to the table and it's nice to work with them in rotation.

I appreciate that everyone is very encouraging and motivating, but and there's no BS. Super nice and know how to push your limits, without being overbearing or pushy. Side note, I have some limitations I have to work around (bad knees, ankles, the list goes on) but my workouts are designed with that in mind, and never am I made self-conscious about it.

Definitely give Jae (the awesome owner) and his crew a shot!

Went here 3x/week for a whole year. Great space, trainers and price. There are no more than 2-3 ppl training at a time, so plenty of space and room to train. I started a training program in June of 2018. I had been lifting on my own for years and was struggling to add weight and size, so my goals were to do exactly that. The team of trainers at J+K Fitness were able to assess my lifting and eating habits up-front, and design a program specifically for my goals.

I'm about half-way through my program and have gained 15 pounds already. My legs have gotten much thicker which has helped my upper body also get bigger, and as a result I have a much more proportional look.

The workouts are tough, and they are always different. This is a major factor because I don't have to think/research or design any training specifics - I can just show up and rely on the experience of the trainers.

It definitely comes through that the training is personal. Every session begins with a conversation of any previous aches and injuries, and the pace and intensity set accordingly. had the pleasure of training with both Griffin and Joe a few weeks ago - and I'm grateful to have had two different but equally butt-kicking experiences!

My first thoughts of the studio: modern, clean, and tastefully decorated (especially the outdoor wall of plants in the middle of the studio). Definitely appreciated coming into a calm space where I felt comfortable working out in (especially coming in from the hustle and bustle of 16th Street Mission). Plus I liked working with equipment I usually don't see in HIIT classes or gyms (AirBikes, ropes, sled pushes, etc).

I trained with Griffin first, and I appreciated that he welcomed me in at the front of the studio, especially since I didn't know my way around at first. What I liked the most about my session with Griffin was the way he communicated his innate knowledge about the human body/anatomy in relation to the kind of work we did that day (hips/legs). From beginning (good ol' foam rolling - which to this day I don't know why I don't do more often) to middle (assisted stretches and warm up movements incorporating yoga poses like frog pose) to end (more high intensity stuff) - I felt like I was being guided through a well thought out session that increased in intensity linearly and just made sense (as an aside, I liked the "appearance" of said yoga pose...well, because I have a yoga background!). Plus I liked that he was both personable and efficient facilitating our session. I was surprisingly sore the next few days, since the session itself wasn't as explicitly "high intensity" as some of the more cardio-intensive HIIT classes I'm accustomed to (and am usually huffing & puffing in) - but I was happily sore, since I felt like the work was more isolated and targeted muscles I usually neglect.

I trained with Joe a few days later (yes, while my lower body was still sore..) - and "luckily" my session with Joe was more upper body oriented (though my legs weren't totally on vacation - hello glute bridges with bands and sled pushes..). What I appreciated the most about my session with Joe is the knowledge I'll bring with me in future workouts: heavier weights doesn't always mean stronger/better, and movements in exercise are composite aka not just limited to arms but also work the abs, etc (just to borrow an example). Perhaps common knowledge to others, but I enjoyed experimenting with both light and heavy weights/less and more reps in a variety of (hard) movements (including ones I'd never done before) to work both strength and endurance...everywhere! Joe challenged me to think about how I might be able to see exercise as more than "ok, today I'll only do arms, tomorrow I'll do leg day, etc."

If you're looking for a personable, intelligently designed exercise program with people who know their stuff (and want to be enlightened too)...go to j+k. Plus you'll get to see the cool plant wall if you do.

I have been working out with Jae for almost two years, and have been training with Griffin over the past few months as well. I’m 46 and in good shape, but I have had fairly chronic back pain off and on from an old injury that has required four back surgeries over the years, including a final spinal fusion at L4-L5 several years ago. My lower back and hips were still always tight, I would have consistent flare-ups of lower back pain, and I was seeing a chiropractor on a semi-regular basis.

I went to Jae’s studio with the goal of being able to work out consistently, build some muscle, and get better abs, all while taking care of my back. Jae focused on getting me set up with a great series of warmup/stretching/core exercises that I eventually started doing on my own at home before our sessions (and on off days). During our sessions he focuses on compound movement exercises that include a lot of join mobility/flexibility and accessory muscle groups to improve deep core strength and help prevent any back issues. He always keeps things interesting and different at our sessions with new exercises and stretches thrown in each time.

I will occasionally still tweak my lower back a bit by doing something I shouldn’t (moving something awkward and heavy, overdoing it on a run trying to sweat out a bit of a hangover), and Jae can pinpoint what’s going on and switch up our session in real time to focus on exercises that both stretch and work the muscles that need it, as well as spend a few minutes at the beginning or end of our session focusing on purely stretching if I need it.

Between the at-home warmup/stretching exercises he’s given me, plus my regular sessions at the studio, I completely stopped needing to see my chiropractor after a few months, and my back has been great.

I would HIGHLY recommend Jae’s studio to anyone, back problems or not. Jae and his other trainers work very closely together with clients, and whether I’m training with Jae or Griffin they know my full history, as well as what the other has focused on with me in prior sessions, and tailor things appropriately. And I have abs at 46 while still drinking a little too much wine from time to time!

I was hesitant to get back into the gym and start training with some real professionals but Jae of J+K is great to work with. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable and are there for YOU, not themselves.

The gym space itself is fairly large with two individual spaces so even when other members are being trained or working out on their own, you never feel crowded or disturbed while concentrating on your personal fitness goals.

I had back surgery in 2007 and have been worried about getting back to the gym for fear of hurting myself even further. Jae totally helped me strengthen my core muscles with resistance training and kept me on track. Slowly but surely my sciatica pains went away and now I feel comfortable working out on my own knowing the correct form to use when lifting.

My goals are still a work in progress but with Jae's help I have gained muscle, lost fat, and feel a lot more comfortable about myself than ever before. I went from 15% body fat down to 10.5% and I will now take my shirt off when I go to the beach!

When I set out to find a trainer, I specifically avoided big box gyms. I knew a boutique training gym would be better, but the comfortable and jovial environment I've found here has surpassed my expectations. There is truly a sense of community at J&K, and it's a huge part of why I look forward to coming in each week. Beyond that, the studio itself is a great space - it's very clean and well maintained. It would be impossible for me to give Jae and J+K Fitness Studio a higher recommendation. I've lived in many cities and I have had many trainers over the years, but none of them come close. With Jae and his team's help, I was able to increase my strength and vastly improve the way I feel and look. They were instrumental in helping me reduce my body fat percentage by about ten percent. Seriously. The workouts were always challenging, but at the same time sensible and designed for me specifically. Jae himself is a smart, talented professional. Unlike some other trainers I've had in the past, there is not a "meathead" bone in Jae's body. I no longer live in SF, and as you might guess, I wish I still lived there for many reasons. The moment I walked into J+K Studio, I felt comfortable. The studio is well kept and offers an intimate feel while training. There was never more than one other client training during any of my sessions; which allowed me to focus on my time with my trainer, and not be distracted by others in the studio.

I primarily trained with Sean and Natalie, and have nothing but great things to say about the both of them! At my first session, I could sense that they wanted to understand my initial abilities and limits so that my subsequent sessions would be safe and challenging. Whether I was training with Sean or Natalie, they were extremely professional, energetic, focused on me, and were invested in seeing that I had the right tools, training and support in working towards my fitness goals.

I especially liked that Sean and Natalie took the time to explain the reasons why I was doing a certain exercise, which muscle groups they worked, how to properly perform the movements to limit the possibility of injury. Hands down, Sean and Natalie have been the best trainers I've worked with! Sean's energy in every session made training fun and pumped me up to push myself.

I have a love-hate relationship with fitness and have tried out several personal trainers over the years. Jae and Natalie are by far the best. It's hard to put into words why but where they really stand out is:

1. A truly tailored approach -- fitness and values
I go twice a week at all times of the day. The J+K team trains all sorts people. From the super buff and toned to people who are just getting started, Jae and Natalie understand how to motivate and challenge people across the fitness spectrum.

2. Awesome workouts
I really don't know how they do it but they manage to push you right up to your limit without it feeling impossible or overwhelming.

3. Fun/Relaxed
What I probably appreciate most about the J+K Studio is the studio's culture. You can feel Jae's warm and accepting nature even when he's not there. As an example, when I did CrossFit and worked out with other trainers, I knew I was getting a good workout but always felt uncomfortable. I love SoulCycle but it's definitely an acquired taste that requires being in a certain mood. At J+K, regardless of how I'm feeling or what happened earlier in the day, I always know Jae, Natalie, and team will be ready to meet me where I am, kick my butt, and have a good time.
