I've been working with Jason for more than 3 years. He works in a great facility, is always challenging me to do work and changes and modifies my workouts to my ability and to create variety. I've lost over 70 lbs. since I started and that's due to his work and advice. Great place to start regardless of your fitness level.

I started working with Jason February 2022. Based on my initial assessment and fitness goals he developed a custom program. He varies the workouts which continue to challenge me. I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I finish my workouts. Experiencing the positive results keeps me motivated. He is an innovative and knowledgeable trainer that focuses on proper form, safety, and achievement of goals. Thank you Jason!

I have been working with Jason (JMP Fitness and Performance) for more than years. I started working with Jason to improve my running endurance and strength. My goal was to complete a marathon in under 3h:45min. I am working with Jason on overall fitness, core strength and nutrition as well. Over the years, I have seeing significant improvements in my overall running endurance, strength and nutrition habits.
Jason has coached me through several 1/2 marathons, marathons and helped me prepare for my first ultramarathons. This year, with Jason's coaching, dedication and support, I plan to improve my marathon time to under 3h:35min and train for a trail ultramarathon schedule in late summer. Jason also helped me buy equipment to build a home gym.
Jason is highly supportive and always willing to guide you in achieving any fitness goals. He is super knowledgeable and most importantly have a great understanding of the individual's needs based on their fitness level and aspirations/goals. I highly recommend using JMP Fitness and Performance!

Jason helped me stay sane during the pandemic when all gyms were closed in Cali. He designed multiple at home workouts that didn't require too much equipment. Jason is easy to reach, very knowledgeable and most importantly have a great understanding of the individual's needs based on their fitness level and goals. I highly recommend!

I have been working out with Jason for a couple of years now. Rather than going into the gym, I prefer working out at home and so Jason helped me to transform the gym I had (multi-station weight machine) to something more simple but yet more effective. Jason first met with me to understand my goals, he had me perform some basic exercises and asked probing questions about my existing workout all to get a sense of where I was at in terms of balance, dexterity and abilities. He writes me a new training regime periodically based on how often I am able to workout and prefers to have me come to the gym so we can go over the new regime and so he can answer any questions I might have. He uses an app for the workout which uses video clips for showing the various exercises and for tracking my workout. He's available for answering questions via the app and monitors my progress. Jason stays up-to-date with the science and latest trends in personal training and brings that knowledge to bear in the workouts he prepares for me. This works for me and he's never pressured me to change my routine to a gym based approach. I would definitely recommend Jason for your training needs.

I decided I needed strength training because I kept getting injured and felt like it was because I had neglected little things for too many years. Working with Jason has helped me get stronger and move better. His programs are thoughtful and research-based. Highly recommend to anyone looking to take that next step!

Been working out with Jason at JMP Fitness and Performance for 4 years. I started with him to get back in shape after not working out for several years. He worked with me on nutrition and built fantastic weight training and cardio workouts. I used to travel quite a bit, and he would research the hotel gym i was staying at and build me a custom workout I could do there so I wouldn't miss a beat. I got down to my target weight and was arguably in the best shape of my life when I got pregnant about 2 years ago. I continued working out with Jason throughout my pregnancy, and he built me custom workouts in accordance with pregnancy recommendations (i.e., no exercises on my back after the first trimester) and although I ended up with some extra weight after giving birth, I know that exercising throughout my pregnancy helped me feel strong throughout labor and bounce back quicker.
Throughout the CV-19 pandemic Jason has been awesome about offering virtual training via whatever video conference platform you want to use, and lending training equipment to his clients so they can continue their workouts, as well as using an app to build a workout for you to follow on your own.
Jason is always encouraging and just wants you to succeed. He won't harass you (unless you ask him to!) but he will nudge you when he knows you can be doing better. After seeing the results i was getting and how happy i was, my husband started working out with Jason also. He helped us buy equipment to build a home gym (even though it would reduce the fees we'd pay him if we didn't need to see him in person any longer).
Can't say enough good things about Jason and JMP Fitness and Performance!

I have been working with Jason (JMP Fitness and Performance) for almost 2 years. I started working with Jason to improve my long distance running. A few months ago I decided to take my training to the next level and now I am working with Jason on overall fitness, core strength, endurance and nutrition as well. I can already see improvement!
Jason has coached me through 2 marathons. This year, with Jason's coaching and dedication to my goal, I improved my marathon time and qualified to run the Boston marathon in the spring. Thank you Jason for helping me make one of my dreams come true.

Jason is a "best in class" coach and trainer. He's helped me prepare for two marathons and a 10k during the past 6 months, and I am SUPER happy with my training and results. I've gotten stronger, faster, fitter (with no injuries!) and feel extremely well-prepared to PR at the NYC marathon in a couple weeks. Working with Jason has made all the difference in the world in meeting and exceeding my running and general fitness goals. I appreciate the way Jason continues to invest in himself and his athletes by attending USTA training and continually learning best practices. He is a total pro and a great guy to work with!

Jason is an amazing trainer! When I started training I needed to rehab an injury and build strength and Jason was able to build me a custom program that did both. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a degree in exercise physiology and maintains multiple certifications in training. Jason is also very conscious of safety and will make sure you are keeping proper form, etc. He is able to provide excellent service at a great value.

Been going to Jason for 4, maybe 5 years now? Pretty much 2x per week the entire time. I never thought I'd be a "personal trainer" kind of guy, but I've never been this consistent for this long. He's always tailoring my program to what I need (usually for volleyball specifically), keeps things fresh, pushes just the right amount to keep me healthy and improving. He's also always adjusting programs based on new industry best practices he learns from conferences, etc. Huge fan.

Sooo....where to start... for starters, I HATE the gym. I'm 61. So here I am 6 months later and completely committed to the program and sooo happy with my results! I started because I had a competition coming up (3-gun, which is pistol, rifle, shotgun- no judging please). I was so frustrated with some injuries and decided to give Jason a try on a whim when I was at PT. At the end of each training session, Jason set up a mock three-gun stage for me at the gym so I could practice what I needed to do . Not only am I a completely different competitor, stronger, more sure-footed, more agile, but I am able to do stuff around the house that I wasn't able to do before! No more "back going out on me" or "muscles giving in". All those anti-rotation and hinge things...THEY WORK. It's obvious that Jason really cares about his clients and helps them train for their individual sport if that is their goal. All I can say is... best trainer ever. But I still hate the gym *sigh*.

Jason is a world class trainer. He takes the time to assess your individual levels (strength, flexibility, endurance and nutrition). He has a no-nonsense approach that is rare in the personal training world. He works to improve each area of your overall fitness in a manner that matches you comfort level. Considering the coaching and equipment, his training is an incredible value.

About a year ago, I went in search of a personal trainer. Pretty much based on price and location alone, I settled on Jason.
I don't think it's possible to have asked for more from a trainer. I have a couple weird and rare health issues that get in the way, and he's always helped figure out a way to work around them. Because of these issues, my weightloss has been very slow, but I have managed to lose about 10lbs (and counting) and I don't even know how much body fat since I first started. I look and feel like a completely different person.
Unlike a lot of trainers at big box gyms, Jason KNOWS his stuff. He has a college degree in Kinesiology, and not just an 8 week certificate some places are happy with. When you ask him a question, you can be certain you're getting the best answer. He is constantly bettering himself by attending seminars and classes to keep himself up to date, all for the sake of his clients.
Jason is 100% focused on his clients health, fitness, and happiness. He goes out of his way to get to know each individual, so each workout is specific just for you. It's your success he is after, even if that means you've gotten to a point where you're ready to work out on your own. Knowing it would likely mean I would stop coming in for training, he helped me get an amazing deal on some of the best equipment around to start my home gym.
His challenge series keeps you motivated, and adds a fun and social competition aspect to training.
If you are looking for a trainer, look no further. You will not find anyone better in the area, or probably anywhere.
I am very sad to be leaving Jason and the great environment at the facility, but because of him, I'm ready to do this on my own, successfully.

I have been training with Jason Polman since 2010. During that time I have completely transformed from a person who could barely run a mile to competing in full Ironman Triathlons. Jason has been there for every step of my journey, creating workout plans to nutrition. He is very knowledgeable about personal training and I know he works with a variety of athletes. It has been an absolute pleasure working with him and would recommend him to anyone!

Never in a million years would I have thought about working out with a personal trainer until someone gave me 3 months of training with Jason as a gift. I already had a gym membership, was already pretty active (I ran, surfed and rock climbed fairly regularly) and weren't personal trainers really expensive? Fast forward 3 years and I am STILL training with Jason. Thanks to his customized training plans, I'm actually a better climber and surfer than I every could have been without his help (I'm so much stronger in the right places) and now I go to my gym even more because he's created a workout plan for me that changes every month (so I never get bored.) He's also helped me with my eating habits and nutrition. And on top of all that, he's incredibly affordable!
