I worked with Jonathan for months. He really helped me learn how to activate and use my muscles correctly. In doing so, has cut down on my fairly regular pain and fatigue sitting all day as well as safely pursuing my new fitness hobbies. He noticed things that I never even mentioned, but knew felt “off.” I never thought I’d work out with a trainer, and only did so at the recommendation of my boyfriend who also saw him. Jonathan is kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He is not a stereotypical bro that I admittedly feared.

I have had hip pain for two years. I have seen chiropractors, acupuncturists, physiotherapists, sports doctors and physical therapists. It was not until I began working with Jonathan that I felt that I had the information I needed to heal. And heal I have. Jonathan listened carefully to my descriptions of pain, during the times I was not with him, as well as while working with him. Then he tried different exercises until he found the ones that were pain free but improved my mobility and my strength. I am so lucky to have found Jonathan. He is a thoughtful listener and a creative problem solver. He joins a vast knowledge of exercises with a deep well of compassion. I cannot recommend him enough.

Jonathan was a pleasure to work with! I was wanted to learn more about the imbalances in my body from a cerebellum perspective and he is very knowledgable able to explain how these different imbalances affect my movement and performance. I have been dealing with some back pain and he is able to be mindful of that in training and adjust exercises to accommodate for that as well. Overall, highly recommend for anyone looking to integrate neuro training into their performance!

I recently had the privilege of working with Jonathan during my rehabilitation journey following an ankle injury.

I began working with Jonathan as I was recovering from an illness that had left me quite weak. He is knowledgable, attentive and crafts my workouts to be achievable yet challenging…a workout that I can build upon, making it more challenging as I get stronger.

I have been working with Jonathan for 3 1/2 years. From day one, it's been clear to me that Jonathan is tirelessly dedicated to "meeting his clients where they are". Jonathan certainly has a training regimen that he follows (Z-Health). That being said, Jonathan's approach, to tailor each workout to the client, perfectly suits me and evolves based on my needs. Bonus points to Jonathan for being a positively good guy as well!

I have been active all my life. However, these days, working behind a desk all week has stolen some of my "GiddyUp". I came to Jonathan wanting to recapture my conditioning and athleticism. I find that each session addresses, not ony different parts of my body, but also different muscle groups within that body part. It's amazingly effective.

My balance, coordination, strength and conditioning have all improved under the care of Jonathan. I would highly recommend him to help increase athletic performance, recover from an injury or just stay strong like me!

Jonathan and his brain based style of training is best thing you can do for your body. His attention to details while doing the functional training is awesome and he makes it fun also. Jonny's a great hybrid of trainer and physical therapist. I went to him for a series of workouts to help with chronic back and foot issues. I saw a difference immediately, and it has lasted. Since I’ve been working out with Jonathan I feel better physically balanced. I used to get dizzy sometimes when working out, but, the brain exercise he has me doing is helping with that. I am thrilled with the results of my training sessions with Jonathan!

I have a desk job and, over the last 10 months, I have spent more time sitting than I ever have. So, when I first started training with him, I was in the worst shape I've been in the last 10 years. 60+ hour work weeks had sapped my energy for anything but work and made it easy to find excuses why I didn't have time for exercise.

Enter Jonathan! Our sessions leave me energized for the rest of my day and have inspired me to reclaim my active lifestyle.

The practical application of all this really came into focus the other day. I was out playing soccer with my 19 and 15 year old sons. Despite having not played in a year+, I had the energy to keep pace with these teenagers. Likewise, the last 5 months of core and leg work has improved the strength and accuracy of my shots on goal.

I feel like my BEST SELF on the days that start with a workout session with Jonathan Ingersoll. His Z health method has really assisted me with feeling less stress and fewer aches and pains in my body, and I love how I am beginning to feel stronger as we progress with the workouts. The session starts with an analysis of my walk, to determine where he sees any stiffness or imbalance, then he suggests a series of mind-body exercises that directly target areas that need to be adjusted and where tension needs to be released. Next, we work on core strength exercises that are simple but effective (and easy to do at home later) followed by arm and leg strengthening and weights, ending with a final burst of high intensity cardio. The workout is always varied and interesting and I always feel great and balanced when I leave. Jonathan is great at pushing me just hard enough and making sure my body positions are in the correct alignment throughout all of the exercises. I highly recommend hiring Jonathan Ingersoll Personal Trainer for anyone who wants to feel stronger and more balanced!

I have been working with Jonathan for over a year and it has been amazing. As someone who has never really stuck to an exercise routine, and was overdue in attending to my body, I couldn’t have found a more supportive, positive, and thoughtful trainer. I've been going to Jonathan for quite some time now. I originally came to him for basic guidance in strength training. What a difference a good trainer makes. He pushes just enough and encourages me to continue my home routine. Now I have greatly improved my strength and balance and can see real word improvements from week to week. As far as "Z Health" is concerned, I have an open mind but am a bit of a skeptic. I need proof that something is working on a neurological level. I’ve been seeing Jonathan for the past 3 months or so every week and am so so pleased. I went to Jonathan with a weak left side (probably due to right sided head injuries in the past) and was drawn to his knowledge of Z-health which focuses on how to support and rewire the brain while doing exercises. I’ll admit I’ve been a bad client because I’m not good at doing my exercises at home but even so I can notice a difference in my overall stability and strength. I’m super impressed at Jonathan’s ability to always keep the workout interesting and progressive. I always leave feeling like we pushed it to the max in a good way! He’s also so nice and caring and makes sure to check in with you. Ok long story short I highly recommend him I had to write a review !!
