One request I have is to allow a bit more turnover time between classes in the evening. I regularly attend Monday 6 p.m. Bikram at Pleasanton & class before ends at 5:45. The parking lot is often completely full. Last time I got there at 5:30 and almost missed the class waiting for a parking spot. Watching people get into their cars & just sit there looking at their phones while 10 cars are lined up to park is so frustrating. It makes the pre-class anxiety go up. Also, it would be much nicer to have some extra time in the hot room before starting the practice. Most Bikram studios allow 30 minutes between classes. Other than this, this studio is lovely. Thank you for offering Bikram yoga! The instructors are great, and heating is well done (could be hotter for my taste but hot enough πŸ˜‚ Pretty much the only yoga studio in this area that’s offering 90 minutes traditional 26*2πŸ™πŸΌ

The instructors are great. There are a lot of classes with good times and options. My biggest issue is the temperature. The heat is constantly on during the non heated classes and it happens all the time. Apparently they can’t control the heat in the studio itself, they have to contact the owners to turn it off/down?? The nice instructors are always apologizing about it and nothing ever changes. Be aware.

Something about this studio makes me so happy coming in, everyone is beyond friendly from staff to members. Very well organized and clean studio, easy to get acclamated and even if you don't the staff is happily ready to help.
HIIT pilates with Steven leaves you with a great successful workout, manageable for beginners or intermediate. He's patient and supportive to help everyone feel the workouts with proper movements. I left my first class with him feeling energized but of course slightly drained from giving it my all.
If you take the JHP Express with Tara she will make the MOST of the time she has with you. I did not get a break but I was so glad I didn't, you really get into a mentallity of wanting to give everything you can each minute you're there.
Their Barre class can be challenging but you can effectively feel these movements hit muscle you don't regularly use; from arms, core to legs- I was getting humbled. Kerry subsituted the class I joined and she was a delight. Doing the movements and teaching the class with ease, she's very encouraging and helps you correct yourself to ensure you get the proper workout.
Parking can be difficult, arrive with time, sometimes there's just that grace period between classes that you'll be able to find a spot.
Looking forward to my Barre class tonight!

Joya has culturally appropriated ancient Indian yoga practices by while diluting the methods and techniques, with inappropriate western music in background with the sole aim of profit. It’s gotten worse over the years, though I visit due to lack of options locally.

Authentic yoga studios in local area closed over pandemic.

Don’t think owner couple even knows what word β€˜Joya’ means in Sanskrit/Bengali…hint: it doesn’t mean fun or partying!

This yoga studio has inconsistent heat; NEVER gets hot for hot/bikram yoga. Needs upgrade of heating system as its old electric air system. Rarely break a sweat during hot yoga classes.

We love having Joya in our community! Always safe, clean and welcoming...they participate in so many community outreach projects that also support the health and wellness of the Tri Valley as a whole. Grateful for Joya!

Very good studio and teachers. Only negative that I could think of is instead of blindly following the temperature and humidity setting even in summer they could do better with a lower humidity and heat. I talked to my fellow mates and they had the same thought, some even said that is the greatest problem in Livermore too although I have not been to that studio.

Took the free community vinyasa class which was wonderful, the instructor was grest. The studio however was dirty, hair all over the floor and they have ants. I really prefer to not have to swipe bugs off me during class.

Studio owner-instructor reprimanded me during class for taking a traditional second set modification (bound Warrior). I persisted on other side for balance and actually got shouted at. Left feeling like following orders here takes precedence over good form/bilateral symmetry.

First time hot Yoga...er. 6am, dark outside, a little chill in the air. I walk in and Ms Gina was seated pleasantly behind the desk with a helpful, welcome look on her face. After a brief explanation she gave me a quick tour of the place, ending with entrance into the yoga room. Holy hot as hell! I laid my mat out and stayed there for about 30 seconds, then had to go outside to breathe. Once the class started though there was no stopping. Pure sweat on every surface of my body. Breathe, lift this, push that, eyes open, relax, hands up...etc. I looked around the room (5 or so other people) they all appeared to be easily completing the tasks the Gina (who i thought was my friend) methodically seemingly whispered the damn near impossible tasks one after another. Once i was done, somehow, I felt extraordinarily accomplished and free. I'm not really into that whole phyc part of yoga but after that I had the best day of my life! Ill be back, thanks so much

This place is "alright". its not the best studio and they turnover so many instructors. Bikram Yoga is a hard practice at times and it would be advantageous to be consistent with the temperature and high level teachers. The instructors tend to turn the heat down when they get too hot! Pleasanton Yoga is not a 5 star facility. I only go there because its the only one in the area closest to my house.

Beautiful studio run by experienced pros. Modern, eco-friendly design and spacious throughout (from the lobby to locker room and studio) and expert instructors. Classes all day long and frequent sales. Great parking too! I've been to studios from Paris to Kyoto and this is one of the best.

This is one of the best studios in the Bay Area hands down. The facility has a state of art air system and flooring. There is no stink to the studio, it's new and always well kept. The locker rooms are clean with full showers and they provide soap and shampoo. They have the best micro fiber sweat absorbing carpet to practice on. What's also nice is that you don't get a boxed in feeling in the hot room. It's very spacious and they have two entire walls that are lined with exterior windows; one of which gives you a nice view of the hills in a deep back bend. The hot room has plenty of space as well so you don't ever feel crampt for finding a spot.

I cannot say enough about the friendly and kind instructors and owner's Troy & Iko. They all are very seasoned and traditional dialog BK yoga instructors.
