I’ve been going to this gym for a year now, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed into a community that truly cares. The people here—both coaches and fellow members—create a positive, motivating environment, which makes it so much easier to push through those tough workouts. The coaches are incredibly attentive and genuinely focus on ensuring that everyone has the correct form. It’s clear they care about our progress and safety. Every time I walk out of a class, I feel stronger and more energetic than when I walked in. The strength blocks are expertly structured, and I can see the progress I’m making through their focus on progressive overload. It’s challenging, but in the best way possible. Initially, I was a bit hesitant because I had never done CrossFit before, but this gym completely changed my perspective and made me fall in love with it. Now, going to the gym is one of my favorite parts of the day. If you're looking for a gym that offers great coaching, an awesome community, and a real sense of progress, this might be your place!

I joined JFFC about a month ago and started with the onboarding program. I have been attending regular classes and I can say since the very beginning it has been a great experience. Every member and coach has been very welcoming and everyone makes you feel part of the community.
I also love their communication and the way the scheduling and workouts are structured in the member app.
I can't recommend this gym enough no matter where you are in health/fitness journey. I am an extremely busy mom of two very young kids and being part of this gym has contributed so many positive things already - just start!

Joining Just for Fun CrossFit has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and fitness. Over the past few months, I’ve seen a tremendous improvement in my strength, stamina, and overall conditioning — and it’s had a huge positive impact on my tennis performance as well.
A big shoutout to Thomas, who has been incredibly helpful in addressing any injury concerns and guiding me on how to recover and train smart. The instructors here are equally amazing — they focus on breathing techniques, form, and posture for every movement, ensuring we train efficiently and safely.

This is by far the best CrossFit gym in the bay area. The coaching is phenomenal; the environment is the most welcoming and the members are the best. It is more of a second home to most of us and thoroughly enjoy the programming, workouts and the community. The coaches are some of the best and their attention to detail for every member is incredible. They work closely with each and every one of the members to suggest improvements, tailor the workouts and help scale as needed. They go above and beyond to help everyone achieve their full potential. With CrossFit gyms, most places get one of two things right: either programming or coaching. But Just for Fun is the only place that checks all the boxes, and it is a testament to all the coaches and their incredible work. I wish I knew jffc since the time I have been in Fremont as this has been the best decision of my life to become a member. Everything about jffc, coaches, workouts, environment and the people gives you a warm feeling and motivation every day and in every class to exercise and strengthen your body and mind. I joined jffc in march of this year and Thomas helped me with onboarding in the first few days for trial classes and it was awesome and I signed up for unlimited classes and go to workout 5 times a week. My stamina and endurance kept getting better and I reduced a lot of weight after the first 4 months and the workout schedule is perfect for anyone who wants to build muscle and core strength. I am lucky to be in Fremont and be part of jffc. I just finished my 100th class yesterday and looking forward to be consistent and get better everyday. I’ve been a member at JFF for over a year, after previously training at two other CrossFit gyms, and JFF truly stands out. The coaching staff is skilled, attentive, and invested in every member’s progress. The welcoming culture is led by example by the owner, Thomas, who genuinely cares about his members.
Thomas and the coaches consistently watch members’ form, offering helpful feedback that not only improves performance but also prevents injuries. Before joining JFF, I often dealt with lower back pain from improper lifting form, but that went away after following their guidance.
When I was pregnant, the coaches went above and beyond to ensure I had safe workout modifications. It made a huge difference knowing I could still train comfortably and confidently throughout my entire pregnancy. There really is a place for everyone at JFF!

I just got my third class completed! Definitely a 5/5!!
The gym is priced at a reasonable price, and they give a 30min intro call to listen to you needs / answer questions. It follows 4 onboarding class - coach Thomas corrected a lot of forms I've been doing for years, super detailed!! Group classes come with a good variety (I'm pretty confident attending group classes after onboarding, all have been practiced and corrected there) and every coach is attentive, given the class size is manageable for them to look at everyone's performance.

5/20/25 Update - was getting tired of doing my own workouts and never did crossfit before. decided to give this spot a try, felt I would come in, do the class, then leave. Classes were awesome, doing new movements I havent done before. Cardio portion kills me since I have zero desire to actually do it on my own so this pushes me. what I didn't expect was the how amazing the community and culture was here. i used to come just to lift and get out, now i come to meet awesome people while pushing myself to get stronger. Def recommend this spot!

I’ve been attending Just for Fun CrossFit for nearly two months and have completed 9 classes so far. After doing CrossFit for 10 years, I had fallen off the bandwagon during Covid. My work immediately filled my free time.
After almost 5 years as a couch potato, I decided it was time to get back into battle shape. Searching close to my work, I was thrilled first by the name of the box, since I wanted to do "CrossFit just for fun" ... and for health.
I loved "Just For Fun CrossFit" the moment I walked into the door! The place is beautiful; a typical CF box with loud music, the right vibe, and smell - it felt instantly like home to me! I was welcomed by the coaches and members which helped be get over my nervousness. I noticed during my first workout, that the coaches paid a lot of attention to proper form and technique, which was showcased in the movements of the senior members.
So, if you are like me, and want to find a tribe to get back into shape, I highly recommend Just for Fun! Oh ya, I signed up right after my first class. Duh!

I remember when I first came in to take a trial class, noticed how energetic and welcoming everyone was at 5am! I noticed how attentive and encouraging the coaches Shelly and Thomas are during my first class ever. As an expectant mother, I was initially nervous about continuing CrossFit during my pregnancy, but I am so glad I made the decision to stick with it at Just for Fun CrossFit. I got myself a personal training cert for fun and to help me select the right place for my fitness practice. With a previous history of injury, safety is always No.1 to me. After visiting 4 gyms in the Bay Area, JFF is definitely the best in terms of its focus on safety (plenty time for warm up, well designed workout plan, knowledgeable and attentive coaches, relatively small class sizes, etc). Plus the community here is really welcoming and friendly.

I've been going here for two months now and I love it. They have tons of classes every day so theres a timeslot for everyone from early morning to late evening. All the coaches know what they are doing and really help you progress and get better. They're all super friendly as well so you can approach them with any question. Facilities are great, brand new showers etc. There's a great energy to each session and I feel not only pushed to train hard but supported too! 10/10 would recommend!

I joined Crossfit with a weightlifting background and unfortunately seen some sketchy movement being taught in gyms. JFF is an exception.
The coaches are attentive the entire class, has good technical feedback from putting in their own time, and the community is friendly and supportive.
Most workouts start with a strength cycle in some base movement pattern followed by conditioning. I really enjoy it because the strength cycles gives a greater sense of progression, while the conditioning gives exposure to more classic Crossfit.

Everyone is on a first name basis and the entire community is warm and welcoming. There are a number of partner workouts throughout the week, which really enhance the sense of community.
Many gyms are excited to sign you up, and you never hear from anyone again. At JFF, coaches are constantly checking in on your goals and progress. There is a special individualized attention given to each member.

Trainers are amazing. Experienced enough to work with people who have been doing CrossFit for 10 years or if it’s their very first class.
The environment created here is the absolute best. Everyone is there to surpass their own goals and help other reach their own.
If you’re not sure CrossFit is right for you or if you’re looking for a new box to work in. I fully recommend reaching out talking with them and even coming in to check it out.

First off, the facility is top-notch. As soon as I walk in, I feel energized and ready to work out. The equipment is always in excellent condition, and there's plenty of space to move around and get my sweat on.
But what really sets this gym apart is the trainers. They are some of the most knowledgeable and supportive people I've met (shout out to Thomas, Sam and the troops). They take the time to get to know each member personally, and they're always willing to answer questions or offer guidance. Their passion for CrossFit is contagious, and it inspires me to push myself harder every day.
Speaking of which, the daily CrossFit routines are intense, but so rewarding. Each workout is carefully designed to target different muscle groups and challenge me in new ways. And the best part is that there's always room to scale or modify the exercises, so I never feel overwhelmed or discouraged.
But perhaps the most important aspect of this gym is the sense of community. Everyone motivates each other to keep showing up and giving it our all. Whether we're cheering each other on during a tough workout or just hanging out after class.
Overall, I can't recommend this gym enough. It's the perfect place to challenge yourself, learn from amazing trainers, and be part of a supportive community.

Hello All!
This review comes with so much appreciation and love of this place. The moment we walked through the doors of Just for fun, we were hit with this BURST of Amazing energy, good vibes and beautiful smiles and this was at 5am! To be honest, I came for a one day trial to explore my options of surrounding Crossfit gyms. I immediately knew from 5 minutes of being there that this would be my new home. ;)
Thomas and Brian (the owners) have been so attentive to our needs and gave us (my sister and I) the warmest welcome. They have checked on us often and have made it apparent that they are present for anything that we may need. I have also received several informative emails with encouraging words, tips and even nutrition!
Shelly has been our coach at 5am and she never fails at keeping us locked in, engaged and motivated. Her music, knowledge and great vibes, you can't help but want more of her and look forward to waking up at 4am to see what JFF has in store for you. The programming is geared toward strength progression and they also encourage us to keep logs of our progress. In just a short month I already feel stronger and I so excited about the future growth here!
Run, don't walk to JFF. It's an Amazing community and I am proud to be a part of it. Thank you for having us JFF!

I just moved to town and was looking for a community to join. I was referred to this gym by my roommate and I’m so happy I joined! Meeting people is always hard, especially in a new place - but our trainer Thomas makes you feel right at home! I felt cared for the moment I walked in! I think the best part about being part of this community is that there is no judgement - not only is Thomas there to help guide you, but so is everyone else! It truly is like a family, everyone encouraging one another, towards a similar goal, and having fun while doing it! I never left without a giant smile on my face, that’s for sure!
