This dojo isnt closed, simply moved to the Paso recreation center. I started taking karate with my son after he became a yellow belt. Just wanted to share that Sensei David is still around just relocated!

This has been our family's dojo for over 15 years. My whole family has earned black belts under Sensei David and Sensei Michelle Rogers' instruction. I can tell you if you are looking for high level martial arts instruction that teaches honor, respect, focus, discipline and excellence then this is the dojo for you. In addition, they are family friendly. My husband joined the dojo 15 1/2 years ago with our two oldest sons because he always wanted to learn martial arts and do an activity together with them. He came home the first night and told me "I'm doing this for the rest of my life." I joined 1 year later with 5 of my lady friends. I never thought I'd enjoy martial arts, obviously was I wrong. It gave me the confidence I have always wanted. My other two kids joined the Lil' Dragons class when they were 4 and 3 years old. We've never stopped! I have seen leadership and character grow in my kids as a direct result of being a part of the Paso Robles Shorin Ryu Karate Dojo and learning from the incredible teaching of Sensei David and Sensei Michelle Rogers. It has been a wonderful experience for all of us. Highly recommended!

Practicing traditional martial arts teaches students "life lessons" they are unlikely to forget. The people associated with this dojo and style are great. Get in shape by learning something useful...what could be better?

My four year old has been going here since Feb. 2013 and he loves it! Not only has his coordination improved, but his confidence has as well. As soon as our daughter is old enough, we'll be putting her in the program as well.

We have had our 5-year-old son here for about a year now. We are really please with the program David and his wife are running for kids - It's called "Little Dragons". In addition to teaching the basic kicks and hits, they take time to teach about discipline, respect, manners, bullies and strangers. It's very worthwhile.
