A large finger nail was found in babies diaper !

(After nursery was told baby had fresh diaper , was fed & sleeping and to call me if diaper change was needed basically NO DIAPER CHANGE FROM VOLUNTEERS)

The woman in charge lied to me stating "they professionals with kids"

I told her I was fully aware of Kennedy's "VOLUNTEER"
Sitter program.

Then she said " Well it's not like their professionals."

didn't fire the woman who was also ruff on the children yanking them.

she instead moved her to Paso Robles location.

Which we found out ( to our horror) after yet another incident where I came in to check on baby ( after 15min) to find that SAME woman holding the baby w/ clothing half off & twisted and the metal buttons were inside out ,
( so the buttons were cutting into baby's skin!)

I cancelled my membership & my friends and family cancelled theirs and new moms who asked me for advice on gym we definitely let them know to dodge that bullet.

My only regret is that I didn't put that woman in jail !!
And file suit for the wreck less endangering of children.

Wouldn't recommend aside from the traumatizing events from the nursery .

The gym itself I wouldn't recommend.

the hot tub jets outside haven't worked for properly for months only 2 of them work others just bubble up others nothing, alot of black/brown debris at the bottom of the hot tub now, water isn't circulating this is a health hazard! This hot water tub hasnt worked properly since afterward and before the remodel! Cmon owners fix tjis problem with your money your making on dues!

Great gym the downstairs workout room where the weights are seems a little crowded. Also, I would give five stars for being open longer hours during the week maybe two hours later for the people who get off work from work in a swing shift may be considered 24 hours on Friday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Kennedy Club Fitness at Atascadero may not be the newest or their fanciest, but they sure have the nicest, friendliest and most helpful staff. I stopped going for 4 years due to Covid, but when I returned I was surprised as to how they remembered me and treated me like an old friend. It’s the people that make a place what it is, and everyone here deserves a big Huge RAISE, and all expense paid vacation. But not all at once 😀

I'm new in the area & I was so happy to find this complete gym. I am really enjoying the pool area & the yoga. A reviewer said they thought it was expensive but I've paid much more for a lot less. At Kennedy I can enjoy a variety of activities.

kennedy has an app that is very difficult to use to schedule a class and if i’m having problems there’s no help no instructions none of any kind and Oddly enough there is no way to ask a question or make a complaint just so they could see where they could improve their app i do see how big companies frequently don’t give their customers any online help. i wonder why i do want to thank the staff for their kindness when kennedy is open

Very overpriced, unless you need a pool definitely not worth it. A lot of the equipment was worn out and the inside of gym has a very dated look. (The outside pool area is nice) Staff was very NOT knowledgeable and I asked when I signed up if they had a TreadClimber and they said yes but didn't. Called several times to set up the initial training they tell you about when you sign up, got different answers every time about who I needed to talk to. Cancelled my membership and now I'm at Valley Fitness, much better experience!

Love working out there morning day or night. Great classes and a good community of Yoga students. Offering two Pools and jacuzzis one indoor one outdoor. Sauna and lockers. Other amenities are Hydra massage bed and basketball courts. Check their class schedule out online and enjoy being healthy.

The club makes false claims about how they maintain the equipment, the pools and facility --all to get you to join, then they ignore any feedback about where they are NOT living up to their claims. They do nothing about negative feedback, even when its supported by irrefutable facts and presented to them several times. In fact, they get resentful when called out on their slacking off. That is what I call a BAD BUSINESS.

So I have been a member before about 10 years ago and decided to re-join. The front desk staff is great, in fact the majority of the staff is really nice. Everyone makes time for a little small talk to see how you are. The days I go I only use the cardio equipment, weights, and racquetball courts. I would give it 5 stars but there are just some small issues.

The weight rooms are in 3 different locations on two different levels. The bikes for cardio are really close together. The treadmills are a bit beat up, but that's to be expected. One thing that bothers me, but I am not sure how they would fix it, is that the racquetball courts have an extreme dip in the foundation at the front. This causes a massive gap between the floor and the front wall. But this isn't something that will even be noticed by 90% of the members.

Other members are really nice. You have people that range from all ages and levels of fitness and none of them make you feel unwelcome. So if you're concerned you wont fit in for any reason you don't need to worry about that at all.

They have really awkward deals for the amenities. For example, towel rental is either $2 for a single use or $80 for a year up front. There is no middle ground. Same with Hydro Massage, it's either one month or 6. I get that it's appeal is to keep you joined as a member but it kind of sucks if you're uncertain about future events that could hinder membership. It would be nice if the business model had slightly more options.

Trainers seem great. I haven't used one in an actual session yet but they've always given really insightful advice that helped a ton. They have trainers that specialize in all ages, therapies, and intensity. Just do your health assessment and they'll match you accordingly. Haven't used the pools but they are both almost completely full all the time so I would assume they are pretty good too. Out door track seems popular for intense workouts with the weight sled and the free weight areas are really good.

All in all I totally recommend joining. The price is a little steep, but it's worth it overall. They do have an option where you can either have access to all Kennedy gyms or just the one of your choice. You have a great staff, access to anything you could need, personal trainers and group classes, and nights for specific events like Volleyball or Rock Climbing where you get to meet other members. The only thing stopping a 5 star review is that some of the equipment is run down, too close together but not in the same areas, and the prices of some things.

Hoped this help with anyone on the rope of whether they should join or not. Do it!

I love Kennedy Club and have been a member for more than 8 years in SLO. We love to try out stuff so we have been making it a point to try all the locations of Kennedy. The Paso Robles location is obviously their Master facility! This is a real resort up there! This location is like the difference between Vienna and Calcutta from that Paso location! The pool is inside and only 3 lanes 1/2 size. There is a jacuzzi but it is only about 4 people big. The lockers for the guys are upstairs and you have to walk through the lobby dripping from the pool to go to them. Odd. When we went the windows surrounding the pool were filthy. I know they probably get fogged and yucky a lot with an inside pool, bu-t how much does it take to get some chemicals out once a week and clean them? Put Rain-X on them once every 6 months and they will stay clear. If I were the maint guy, (I do that stuff) I would have the place shining. The rest of the place is very dingy and functional. If you really want to work out then you should bring something nice to listen to and imagine you are in a lighter place. It is functional and fairly clean and that is the best I can say. I wont be coming to this one again. I do love all the other locations however. They are all different and have their own thing to them.

So I was so wrong about Kennedy Fitness. This place is amazing. The Facility is unbeatable. Staff is great but the people who go here are helpful and friendly. Not what I have heard around. Goes to show you really have to find out for your self. Glad to be a member.

I resigned up through my former employer. That process required an up-front check to be given to the HR department of the former employer, which was back in mid-December. Nobody from KCF ever contacted me to say "come on in and let's get started", so I called and they said "oh, sorry".

Today, I had an appointment with a trainer for 6:00 a.m., and that person never showed up.

nearly $500 put down to be a member, and their commitment to us clients has two strikes and I have yet to use the club, and nearly 1-month of my membership is almost gone. Huge improvements are needed in their attention to us clients.
BTW, this is my first time ever writing a review. It takes a lot to perturb me.

The trainers are friendly and knowledgeable. This was the very first Kennedy location and they are constrained by the space available. Over the years they have converted many of the spaces to fit the changing needs of the membership, which is why things are on different levels. They have been repairing and upgrading over the last few years and the women's locker room was completely remodeled last year. They have two pools, both of which are open year-round, and the indoor pool and spa were rehabbed last year. I have been to the Paso Robles and the San Luis Obispo clubs and they are both beautiful facilities built from the ground up, but neither have an indoor pool. I love my Atascadero Kennedy Club and recommend it.
