KidStrong is a great place where my son can truly be himself. He loves going to “gym” and shows great energy from start to finish. We show up early so my son can explore all the equipment and get all his extra energy out before focusing on his coach. Fantastic program and I’m so grateful I found them.

My kid is very communicative with children , having too many adults on the floor (way more than kids) feels a bit intermediating for children .
I teach my children to be not easy approachable by adults .
That would be an awesome class if only 1 adult per toddler would be allowed and 1 coach only .

We were looking for something for our 4 year old where she can learn to be better at working independently without us, as her parents, hovering over her and her expecting us to be there. I came across KidStrong Lake Forest via Instagram and got instantly excited that it might just be the best fit for her to obtain this independence, along with exercise, knowledge, strength, courage, and friendship with other kids her age. We signed her up for a free trial class and at the end of it, our daughter said, "I love it! I want to come back again, and again and again." So...that's what we've been doing. If ever someone in the general vicinity of Lake Forest is online asking for advice on something they can do with their kid to keep them engaged or get them active, I instantly tell them about KidStrong and tell them that I HIGHLY recommend it. Super happy to have found KidStrong.

I honestly didn’t like this class for my child at all. First of all, just as the kids are starting to release their energy, they’re told to “freeze” in the middle of playing and exercising. And the child still wants to keep playing. This class is not suitable at all for a three-year-old who can’t yet follow instructions. Right when the child’s mind is full of excitement, they suddenly say, “Let’s do a test from the TV.” What is this, a school? They claim it helps with mental focus, but in my opinion, it just confuses the child even more.

Also, when I leave my child somewhere, I expect them to be taught sports—not for me to have to run alongside my child and teach them myself. They have only two coaches for a large group of kids, and you basically have to watch your own child. In my opinion, this is absolutely not a suitable place for a three- or four-year-old.

And the competitions they set up for the kids cause disappointment for a three-year-old who can’t yet understand the concept—if they don’t win, they get upset. I wouldn’t recommend this class to anyone. Worst of all, the class is 50 minutes long, and most of it is spent putting stamps on kids’ hands and making them sit down to cheer for another child, who is actually older than the three-year-olds.

I also liked how the “sitting portions” were in really short bursts with the majority of the class being activity. Although im sure not intentional, my son and I were completely disregarded from the moment we walked him. Checked in at the front and was told by the staff “come talk to me if have any questions about memberships and your class is over there”, as he points vaguely. Then as we approach the area of the class there is no flow and the coach who’s name was Bryan when I reserved online but upon arrival a female was heading rhe class. Despite standing at the entrance to the mat for over 5 min as the coach acknowledged everyone but myself and son it seemed, not once did the coach respond to me. I will admit it was busy and the parents were crowding the viewing area. In my opinion the staff should have been taking a more active role of facilitating the traffic flow of things and assisting those who were asking. Then all of a sudden she starts the countdown for the class. My son asked to leave because he didnt want to join the class late. The lack of awareness beyond the staffs current immediate task was surprising to see in a business that demands the ability to multitask and provide great customer service. This staff and neither. I felt unwelcome and almost an inconvenience while i was there. We left after another 5 min and no one bothered to even ask us why as we walked out. Some free trial

Beware of subscribing to this program. My kid found it boring as he was more interested in doing team sports. I tried to cancel but have been paying monthly for the past 6 months that I haven’t been going. They won’t cancel as part of the contract. The sports are boring and slow paced. I’ll probably get a reply back of how great the program is; well it isn’t.

Kid Strong Lake Forest is amazing! The coaches are so engaged with the kiddos. They help them do cool races, exercises and competitions that help them show their personalities and strengths. Oh and me of the biggies for me, the gym/facility is always so clean.

My family and I had high expectations for this place. My son was very excited at the beginning, classes were small and kids would get attention from instructors. Unfortunately, some of the classes were canceled most probably due to low attendance, and they started mixing up the little kids with older kids (5-8 years old it’s a very big gap in age) and the smaller kids couldn’t complete the exercises. Classes became very crowded and my son got very frustrated not wanting to go anymore. Attempted to talk to management several times, and without luck tried to end our membership which isn’t easy either. They are not very flexible and understanding, so make sure your kid really enjoys it before signing up for a membership.
