Scott Elliott and his team at Kool Body create a unique experience for their clients by providing 2 trainers for each client! As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I am confident sending my patients to work with Scott, Lexy, Alex, and Cassy because of the collaborative approach that they take when optimizing programs for their clients. Scott and his team identify how your metabolism works so your workout can be more effective and tailored to your goals. Having 2 trainers working with one client offers diverse insights between the trainers and makes it easier for clients to schedule when it's best for their schedule. These variables make his studio a great place for me to send my patients; they are open to collaborating with me to get each person the best experience. Plus, working out walking distance from the beach? You can't beat it. Highly recommend Scott and the whole team at Kool Body.

I have been training with Scott twice a week for about 18 months now. Scott is just wonderful on so many dimensions. He's very knowledgeable, sociable, and positive. Just all-around a great human being and personal trainer. I was never able to go to the gym consistently for this long on my own, so while I joke with Scott that I still never look forward to a workout with him, he's been able to keep me coming back for more! I also think it's a good value relative to the high priced gyms in this area. I might spend $600/month on training, but I don't need a gym membership. Thus, for a few hundred more than a gym membership I'm able to get personalized training that keeps me accountable to do the workouts. Scott does a nice job of varying the workouts so it doesn't get boring. I have been able to add muscle and improve my physique overall. I also like that Scott is closer to my age, not a meathead in his 20s :)

Kool Body is a private gym. I've been going there for many many years. The trainers there are head and shoulders above the rest. You get actual personalized workouts. They have all the equipment you could need. Definitely worth every penny.

Scott and his team are fantastic trainers! I had a killer session with Alex this morning. He was positive, knowledgeable, and kept things energized and fun. He also sent me a body type quiz beforehand that I can tell he used to personalize both my workout and exercises/reps.
I have a much better sense of where my weaknesses are, and also got strong advice on my nutrition planning and next steps to break through my current plateau. Sincere thank you to the entire Kool Body Fitness team!

What an experience. Scott and the KoolBody staff not only personalize training but I was amazed at the knowledge of the science behind it. I came with a sore shoulder and Scott was able to ascertain the situation, and with the proper pre workout stretching, was able to have a solid shoulder day workout. I highly recommend KoolBody!

I had the pleasure of working with Scott for over a year and a half. Scott is an extremely intentional, intelligent and well rounded personal trainer. Scott is someone who truly cares about his clients. I originally signed up for his 8 Week Challenge and saw incredible results.
I am an avid golfer and told Scott I wanted to do "golf related exercises" that would help my strength, flexibility and longevity. Scott immediately created a program catered to my specific needs.
Scott is one of, if not, the best personal trainers in the San Diego area and I highly recommend working with him.

I have a lifetime of injuries starting from a car accident at age 30 that messed up my neck to falling a few years ago and hurting my back. I had the gym membership and worked out regularly, but would repeatedly injure those areas working out on my own or doing group classes. Not to mention that working at a desk and computer would aggravate my neck and back and lead to chronic pain and migraines. This Gym came highly recommended by a friend and I thought I would give it a try. I met with Scott and Peter (my trainer) who assessed me and recommended that I try out functional training, which Peter specializes in. After being in Physical therapy several times, I knew that functional training was the key to getting strong, increasing my mobility, and reducing the amount of chronic pain in my life --- which was my primary goal. I have been working with Peter and realized I no longer have pain, I have more energy and better posture, and that our workouts evolve, because I am stronger than I have ever been and my new goal is to do 1 proper push up and pull up. I have lost 10 lbs as a side effect of my renewed health and the best part, I haven't had a migraine for over 3 months. I do a combination of weight training, kettle bell and body weight exercises, and also work on balance exercises. Peter asks every work out - how I'm feeling, and if one day my body is tight or stiff in an area, we do special exercises to relieve that tension and loosen up those areas by relieving pressure points, just like my Physical Therapist would do. I highly recommend for anyone who feels that they can't break the pain cycle and have a fear of injuring themselves, I trust this team.

If you’ve been in an accident and need help recovering your health: this is your man.
If you’ve had surgery and you have now been cleared by your M.D. and you want to heal faster and better:this is your man.
If you feel you aren’t getting results at the gym where you are now: this is your man.
If you’re older (like me!) and feel your balance, flexibility and strength going away: this is your man.
Throughout training Scott will provide tips on nutrition and maintaining a positive attitude. I can’t imagine life without Scott. He has kept me out of hip surgery and off OTC pain killers with gentle strength and balance-focused workouts for one hour once per week.

15 years ago, I walked by Kool Body Personal training studio and they were offering a 6-week challenge. I called Scott and loved his personality over the phone. It was the best decision I ever made in my life to join and get fit. Brent and I both reached our goals in the six weeks. For 15 years we have been going to Scott's classes or personal training with him. Also have participated on the online challenges Scott has offered. Not only does Scott give you motivation he is so fun to talk during the one-on-one personal training sessions. Scott’s effort for keeping me fit is awesome. His knowledge about maintaining good health with exercise and diet is so beneficial. We will always be grateful for Scott’s support and kindness. I began training with Scott at Kool Body Personal Training with his 8 Week Transformation Challenge. The challenge included the workouts and nutritional guidance with his dietician.
My goal was to lean out and build muscle tone. Scott helped me achieve my best body ever. I lost 10lbs and I have become more confident in my body and how my clothes fit.

I'm seven months into training with Scott, and I could not be happier!
I began training with Scott in August 2019 with a focus on learning how to train with and around a knee and shoulder injury. My plan was to train for 2-4 months and then continue training on my own. Once I completed my first two-month cycle, I did not want to stop!I found in Scott a trainer who genuinely cares about the objectives and goals of his clients. And I have found that the harder you train the more Scott appreciates you and what you bring to the table--he's really about the partnership which can be built between trainer and client.
Though I have been active all my adult life (running, weight training, and surfing), I was not 100% how to get the most out of myself. One of the great things about Scott is that he will work with you and what you're naturally given to get the most out of you. In my first session with Scott, he got my body type nailed down, completed a posture analysis, diet analysis, and a plan for achieving goals. Since that time, I've been able to achieve everything I sought to achieve, including dropping to less than 10% body fat and putting on more than 10 pounds of muscle. My energy levels, strength, and muscle endurance are at places that I've not experienced since I was a teenager lifting weights! In my last phase of working with Scott, he's provided me with guidance on nutritional supplements, diet choices, and getting me dialed into MyFitnessPal. He's really helped me take my fitness to the next level.
Finally, he's just a great guy! If you want a consistent, motivating, and kind trainer, look no further than Scott. After months of training with him, I have come to consider him a friend who is part of a support network that makes my life that much quality and satisfying!!

Not only that but he is the most positive and encouraging trainers I have ever met and I know many of them. He is so invested in your progress and it shows.
I have so much respect for Scott and that alone makes me want to be a better version of myself. He is so educated on fitness and health it is truly inspiring.
His facility has everything that you need in order to get in a great workout and Scott is very creative and has shown me ways to workout ANYWHERE with even no equipment.
One thing that I really love about Scott is that he listens to you, he really here’s what my own personal unique goals are and has catered my program to that. And when I hit a plateau and need something new Scott is always ahead of me.

I've trained with Scott Elliott at Kool Body and love his approach to personal training. He takes the time to understand your unique desires and what your goals are. One of the biggest things is going through a thorough body typing process to figure what style of workouts and diet best fit you.
