Definitely recommend this Pilates studio. The location for me is perfect, and I appreciate that each instructor that I’ve taken a class with has made it their own. I started doing Pilates at this studio and I feel they’ve really made me a Pilates convert. I have no interest in looking for another studio, and will be coming here as long as I’m in Koreatown!

I am leaving this review both to share some praise for Kore Pilates, as well as to share feedback:
- I wish there were more classes for beginners. Only having 1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday is limiting. Actually more classes on the weekend in general, I would love a mid day class on Sunday.
- On the same note, I have had an experience a few times now where I sign up for a beginners class, the instructor notices that most students have taken a class before, proceeds to ramp up the difficulty. Sometimes I join the beginner class just to focus on technique (and so I’m not sore the next day).

Mixed experience — some positives, but disappointing support with injury

My review of this studio is a bit mixed. There are definitely some highlights. The teacher was incredibly sweet and clearly knowledgeable — she led the class well and, for what is essentially a $1 per minute class, the sequencing felt purposeful and made it feel like you were getting good value. The equipment was also excellent. Having a tower and more modification options than some standard pilates studios was a nice touch.

That said, I chose this studio specifically because I had seen reviews from people with injuries who had positive experiences. Unfortunately, mine was the opposite. I have a herniated disc and, while I’ve been cleared by my doctor to do Pilates (and have been regularly practicing reformer Pilates without issue for months), I’m very cautious and communicative with instructors to make sure I stay safe. Typically, instructors are very receptive and proactive in offering modifications.

In this case, though, I found the approach lacking. I mentioned my injury upfront and reminded the instructor again during class when asked to perform a movement that could aggravate my disc. Even after that, I didn’t receive any modifications or additional guidance — which was surprising, especially in a small class of just four people where individualized attention is usually easier to give. I want to be clear that I wasn’t asking for special treatment, just the baseline support they claim to offer when injuries are disclosed.

Unfortunately, I left the class in immense pain and ended up spending part of my day lying in my bed trying to ease it. This has made me hesitant to recommend the studio to others with injuries, even though there were certainly good aspects to the overall class and environment.

Ambience of instructors and class members is so warm and welcoming.

Many time slots for morning/early afternoon/evening classes.

Reformer with towers are so fun and different from just the reformer itself.

Studio is so clean and spacious.

Free parking with validation inside a huge parking lot.

Pop downstairs to H Mart and go grocery shopping after.

Starting my 2nd monthly membership here and I’ve been enjoying it throughly. Allie has been my favorite instructor so far. She really gets all the hidden muscles you haven’t worked out on. I always get a good workout in her classes. She’s also very good at correcting your posture so you do the exercises correctly and target the proper muscles.

There are people of different shapes and sizes here so don’t be shy and give them a try!

The studio is clean and calming. There is 2hr free parking in the City Center Plaza.

Allie is the best! After surgery and a couple of injuries it had been 2 years since I had felt confident enough to work out consistently. Allie helped me gain back the confidence and core strength through her classes. She’s great at adding accommodations so that you can work around pain points to strengthen, lengthen, and build back body awareness. Her trainings were so integral to me working towards caring for my body again and wanting to work with it. Her classes are still tough (in a good way) even after I’ve worked through a lot of my past injuries now. Not to mention she’s got great taste in music!

took three classes with three different instructors--Allie Miks and another male instructor were the absolute best (sorry i forget his name)

however, Sue was incredibly rude from beginning to end, and not attentive at all. her class was the worst out for the three instructors and not challenging at all. one other student who was in the same three classes with me agreed. wish i picked a different instructor.

I started my journey with KORE Pilates back in April 2023 with Katie when she still had the bandwidth to teach group lessons. Katie is such an amazing and encouraging instructor that I quickly opted in for the 4 class a month pass. I vividly remember how much I “wish” I had the physical and mental strength to opt into their platinum membership (unlimited classes a month) but instead focused on completing their summer challenge at the time. Before I knew it, I was going to classes so often that I ended up kicking off my platinum membership in September 2023 ^.^
KORE Pilates truly has some of the kindest and most encouraging instructors I’ve ever come across. Each one has their own unique method of helping you build your technique, strength and endurance. They feel like family to me now because of how often I see them on a weekly basis. Genuinely recommend this studio if you’re looking for fun & enjoyable workouts that make you stronger and more confident in yourself :)

My husband and I started pilates about a year and a half ago. We started with private lessons then duet lessons. The first pilates studio suddenly moved and the second studio did not work out with our schedules. So here we are at the Kore Pilates!
It was Katie who convinced us to try out all the classes and find an instructor who could be a good match for our needs. All the instructors are great and the studio itself is very pleasant to visit with super convenient parking. Initially we wanted duet lessons with Katie but her spots were full. Then we worked with Jess and Sue, and successfully arranged duet lessons. Jess's class focuses on stretching and Sue's class on core strengthening. These duet classes are beyond our expectations; Jess is so caring and encouraging, and she helps our aging bodies use all the muscles and joints without any risk of injury. She is so sweet that all the hard stretching doesn't feel like a torture.
Sue is incredibly professional, passionate and caring. She has keen eyes to observe every move we make and comes up with the perfectly customized session for our needs. We feel so energized after each lesson. We enjoy her class so much, trusting her 100%. Simply amazing!
In short, we highly recommend Kore Pilates to anyone who is looking for the best pilates studio in LA with confidence!

Where should I even start... All I can say is that KorePilates is the #1 Pilates studio in Koreatown. I have been coming to KorePilates for almost two years now and I can definitely say that training with our instructor, Katie Pak, has been life changing! I come twice a week with my husband to train with Katie and we both have significantly benefitted from training with her. My husband has a really weak ankle from playing soccer when he was younger, so his ankle can easily get irritated just from moving it or placing it in a weird way. After just one session with Katie, my husband told me that his ankle started to feel a whole lot better and can move it normally! What's also awesome about Katie is that she really cares for her clients. She took the time to teach us what movements we can do at home to help make the ankle muscle stronger and aligned. I cannot stress how much she has changed both me and my husband's life. Thank you very much Katie and KorePilates!

KorePilates is one of the best pilates studios in Koreatown. I come here with my girlfriend every week for private lessons and so far, I have been feeling lighter and more flexible. I can finally officially say that I can touch my toes! Not only did KorePilates help me achieve this goal, but also helped me relieve a huge tension I had from my lower back. I initially did have doubts before as I thought pilates was more of a light workout, but I assumed wrong! Our instructor, Katie Pak, really focuses on each individual muscle and will make sure that each particular muscle is moving correctly and is getting the full workout it needs. She is very knowledgable about the human anatomy and will know if you are slacking off during your workouts! I 100% recommend KorePilates to anyone who wants both a really good workout and wants to improve on his or her flexibility.

I’ve been going to Kore Pilates for five months and I’m so glad I found it. One of the things I love most about this studio is the incredible improvement I've seen in my core strength and overall fitness. The instructors are all amazing! I appreciate how they pay close attention to everyone’s form and provide modifications as needed.

The morning classes with Katie and Lucia are my absolute favorite - they make me feel energized and ready to take on the day ahead. The location is super convenient and parking is a breeze, which is a huge plus!

Highly recommend Kore Pilates! I’ve been taking group classes at Kore Pilates for last four months and it was an amazing journey. I can feel that I’m getting healthier after doing pilates at Kore Pilates. I took classes with all instructors and they are all great. They try to adjust level for individual by giving different options and also suggest alternative posture/workout for any injuries. They make pilates fun and classes are energizing and very refreshing.

The Pilates Space is a wonderful place to do pilates :) I started over 6 months ago when I had a knee injury. With Katie's help, my knee is back to almost 100%. Every visit is fun and exciting with something new and/or challenging to do each time. Katie is an awesome instructor and is extremely knowledgeable about the muscles used for each exercise. Her knowledge makes every exercise you do have much more impact and she will know right away if you are slacking off :)

The studio is a cute space that is kept very clean. After each class, the equipment is wiped down and sanitized for the next class. If you're in the area looking for a pilates studio, I highly recommend coming here!
