Great wall shape and route setting. More slab walls than most touchstone gyms in LA make this a great gym for new climbers but thereโs no shortage of heinous overhangs.

As a new member, I'm absolutely in love with this place. The routes are fun and challenging, with plenty of options for beginners to advanced climbers. The locker rooms are clean. And the music playlists are always ๐ฅ
I've never felt comfortable in a normal gym just focusing on vanity and maximizing strength for reasons unknown. Even if that's your thing, the medium sized gym here has all you need for training across the spectrum.
Parking can be challenging, so you may have to walk a considerable distance. Check their website for the best parking areas, it's quite informative.

Love this gym, been climbing here for 2+ years but for the first time In these past two years I had one of the worst experiences with touchstone. I brought two of my friends for the first time and the worker up front just had the worst attitude imaginable. Iesha you were very rude and it felt like you werenโt trying to help us at all. Nothing wrong with the gym, just terrible customer service in a sense. The other workers are fine but I have never seen this girl at the gym and suddenly she thinks sheโs all that lol.

I called to cancel my membership and they cannot help me. They directed me to the website to submit a request in writing which I feel is a bit ridiculous. After years of pouring thousands of dollars to this establishment, Iโve only ever asked for 1 thing-
I do not recommend.
LA Boulders: your comment does nothing except satisfy your own desire to feel like you did something to address the problem, which you did not.

This gym is AMAZING. I truly love it here. Old school community vibes with modern walls and new holds, it's the best of both worlds! The staff are incredibly friendly, and it's clear that permeates into the culture here.
I think the day pass, for what the gym offers, is a little over priced, but that seems to be the going rate at gyms out here. Kinda challenging to pay that often when you're just passing through. Get a membership if you like it here, best way to save money.
Overall though, fantastic gym!

I came here with my friends as first time climbers, the first time the gym was more busy than usual but we were still able to have a good time. The second time we came in the gym was not busy and we had a good time trying different climbs. The staff are friendly and the restrooms are clean.
They also have an area for free weights.
Parking can be a hassle causing you to park somewhere else and needing to pay. Very good gym overall and fun hobby!

Tried this gym as a visitor. There were enough LAB spots as I went at ~3pm.
They have lots of V8s and the like in the cave, but few V4s which made me feel the climbs were a bit soft. V2-V4 were mostly top out slab climbs, again contributing to my feeling the gym is a bit soft.
The staff were plenty nice. A bit pricy but seems about average for the DTLA area. -1 due to the gym just being so soft overall

Hands down my favorite.gym in LA! it maybe smaller than Hollywood boulders and cliffs of Id but it's got a great layout and great atmosphere. Unfortunately some of the best staff has stopped working there which led to a lot of their awesome self organized events and dj nights to disappear.

Went to LA Boulder on the recommendation of a friend, and it's located in the art district of LA. The day pass is 30 dollars, which is about the same as other large climbing gyms in southern California. After checking in, you'll notice that the place is pretty spacious. I went on a Saturday morning, and it was not packed at all. They do the v-system rating here, but depending on who set the route, it can be a fairly soft grade or about right. The facility has a gym as well as the bouldering side. They have a few free weights, campus board, and pull up bar as well as cardio machines on their second floor. About half of the climbs you're able to top out on, so if you're looking for a place to be able to top out, this one has you covered. The cave that they have support long routes with a lead/top rope rating system without the ropes since it's not extremely high off the mats. However, they do have halfway points that are considered finished routes for the bouldering side. The community is friendly here as with most climbing gyms I go to, and if you're in the area, check it out. I plan to visit the other touchstone gyms and will compare it to this one.

Great place to go for rock climbing because you can go over the wall and stay up there and hang out. Many posters on information about the routes and the creators as well as the events held daily. Parking is sparse and you need to make sure you park on a space designated LAB or you get towed. Yoga on Sunday mornings.

Visited LA and popped into LA boulders for a quick morning session. Not busy at that time of day, which was nice! Front desk staff are friendly and great. When I went they were resetting an entire wall (which was loud, but heck yeah new climbs!).
Variety of routes was quite nice, and enough for any level of climber to be occupied without running out of routes to try. They have a cave, which is neat. Very happy I visited!
There is parking, though I'd imagine not enough during peak hours. Washrooms/locker rooms upstairs - clean and well maintained. Split level for conventional gym equipment : there are barbells and racks downstairs, cardio machines and some weights upstairs.

Very friendly staff and atmosphere! First time here w a friend and took the $35 class wc includes day pass and rental shoes and chalk bag. They have dedicated parking although we parked in the area and walked it. The ambiance was very inviting and folx of diverse backgrounds we're enjoying themselves and being respectful throughout. Would love to come again and climb w my partner! :-) We wore our face masks the whole time and it was mixed among the crowed who was covered, however, we did not feel unsafe as it was very spacious w high ceilings and folks kept their distance also out of climbing etiquette.

Gym is great.
There are no parking all the time. I come on weekdays at 11 am and itโs all full already. They have 6-8 parking spots and I think itโs enough for employees only. All other spots is tow away areas.
Youโll need to park on the paid parking $5 per hour. Or buy a monthly parking pass there. Before opening you might find a parking spot.

A very nice and well maintained bouldering gym. The staff were super friendly and the sets here were extremely fun to climb on.
The training area (there is one upstairs and downstairs) is well-equipped with weights, hangboard, anything you can think of except for a moonboard.
The change room is where the washrooms are, you can also find showers in this area which is very nice, not a lot of gyms have this amenity. From showers to lockers to toilets, everything was spotless. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the front of the store.
Grading (V grades) is a little soft. I know for a fact that I am not a V4 climber and I flashed a couple of them. However, I love the fact that there were many problems that require a dyno move, those were challenging but super fun for me!

Loooooove Hollywood Boulders so this place feels a little 'less'. I'm trying to put my finger on what exactly it is but I think the problems, for the most part, seem similar as the walls themselves are pretty similar so there's only so much you can do with the jugs, crimps, etc. The middle island area and back cave area are cool though. Weight area is small and everything seems sort of cramped. Also it was really hot. Still cool spot to have in conjunction with the overall Touchstone network, but on its own it leaves some to be wanted.
