I waited in the parking lot for an hour because the person meant to open the gym one recent Sunday didn't show up. I only get to workout on weekends for the most part so this was incredibly disappointing. Once a staff member showed up from another location my class time was passed so a loss for the morning. There wasn't an instructor anyway, not sure what happened there. In addition, the staff member from another location was reving his car and speeding through the parking lot, completely unsafe and immature.

I’d stay away from here - it’s been at least 2 months of asking to have ac/ air circulation turned on for racquetball courts and nothing. Lights are out all over the place and not being replaced. Equipment stays broken for weeks before being repaired. Bathrooms are grungy and just dirty from age.But at least the front desk people are nice and friendly and it’s not crowded because everyone is going elsewhere. Update… weeks later still no air and lights are still out all over

This location used to be my go to for a workout on the way home. In the last 12 months or so it has really started a downward spiral.
Locker rooms are dirty, with toilet paper often all over the floor. Sinks are nasty and often don’t have soap or paper towels. The floor in the restroom looks like it has been mopped with sewer water and it often smells like it.
The gym floor area is also dirty, equipment in need of repair. There used to be a dress code of some sort but I watched a guy workout without a shirt on using equipment all sweaty and not wiping it down afterwards. Gym staff saw this and did nothing about it.
It’s no surprise that the EOS fitness down the street has been pulling members from this gym. It honestly feels like this location has given up.
Skip this place if you can, you might save yourself the need for a tetanus shot and a Z-Pack in the future.

I only gave it an extra star because it has everything you need to weight lift. It just sucks that every morning there are, so many group classes that take up the room with all the heavy bags. And nobody is allowed in the room until the class is over. I only have time to workout in the mornings and boxing is on of my favorite workouts and I can’t use any of the equipment at the gym until the Zumba whatever classes are over. THEY HAVE CLASSES ALL WEEK EVERY DAY, LIKE 8:30am -12:00 noon LIKE C’MON BR!!! Lemme hit the bag please!!! 😭🙏🏻 I’ll re-rate the gym if yall let me hit the bag in the mornings. This gym is very dirty and never kept up. Unfortunately, I came from Fitness 19, where the gyms were clean and was set up nicely. There are weights, plates, and people walking around barefoot and in socks everywhere. It's just gross. When I told the worker over the phone, she recommended going to another location instead of fixing the problem. That's not okay, and I will be canceling my membership.

❌ Machines are often broken
❌ Mats, steppers, balls, and other auxiliary equipment aren’t always available. They’re in the personal training area — and if you go in you *will* get scolded (literally) even if they aren’t being used — or in the class room, but if classes are in session you can’t go in. This is an issue for morning gym-ers
❌Even though you can’t use equipment during training sessions, trainers will keep weights for the general public in the training section.

I picked LA over 24 for the simple fact that this is only 2mins from my job and i can work out before work or on lunch break. I actually like this one. The only issue is that the lady who cleans the shower/bathroom do it at like 530am. They open at 5 and im trying to take a shower at 6.. but everythings dripping wet.. the floor is wet.. etc.. i think they should have them clean before they open. I dont like wet socks...

Before joining LA Fitness I came across some disturbing reviews. High pressure sales tactics, crowded machines, personal trainers harassing them and more, almost turned me off.
Fortunately I decided to check things out myself.
First, sign up was easy and no up sell just what they offered.
Next the facilities are busy but I've never had a problem getting a machine.
Everyone is respectful of each other, I've even made friends there.
Besides the company's commitment to constantly disinfect everything, members have disinfectant wipes available.
I could go on but I'll say this, LA Fitness is everything I wanted in a gym and is now a part of my daily life.

This establishment may be limited in space and frequently crowded. Particularly at present, they seem to be making an effort to promote various offers in order to attract more customers, which can be quite absurd. I love the ladies that take care of the kiddos and babies at the daycare here. They are always so sweet to all the kids, especially my 1 year old boy. I always feel so comfortable leaving him with them for well over an hour. Thanks LA fitness for always making sure my baby is looked after well.

First of all I had an appointment with a PT at 7pm and he was too busy talking to a girl in the kids section. I waited a whole 5 min, Like ok do your thing but he wasn't wrapping it up. So I just started working out by myself. Then at 7:55pm I wanted to go in the class room to have a mirror in front of me while working out and there was a lady she said she had five minutes left . A guy that also wanted to work out told her that her class is 55 min long that it should be over. She said her class ends at 8. I didn't know it was a class there was only 1 person there. She should have put up a sign saying she was in class and to not disturb and I wouldn't have gone in. Equipment for legs and some treadmills are old and not working. They don't have signs for those as well.

Asked a man and woman worker at the front that the men’s restroom was out of towels, soap, and super messy. They said “sorry there’s nothing we can do he doesn’t come in until 2.” Not sure why the guy couldn’t fill up the paper towels, and just stands there instead. You get what you pay for I guess. Lazy. There is one tall slender guy who’s always helping people out. But most others just stand around, too good to clean the locker room. Also there are advertisement signs on the wall for events that are over a year old.

I agree with the other reviews. Equipment is old, and the water fountains are disgusting. The sauna benches need to be fixed. I got a splinter once and the wood needs to be reinforced or replaced in a few places. My stuff was in a locker and got stolen. Never a problem here before. They never got back to me about it either like promised. Desk girl is rude, always on the phone not paying attention to people walking in. I asked her for a 3day pass for a guest and she said I needed to pay 20 for the day!

i’ve been coming here for well over 5 years now and it’s a decent gym to say the least. while it gets the job done, my only complaint is that after all of the years that have gone by I have yet to see any upgrades to the gym equipment… the Treadmills are seriously outdated and the incline doesn’t work on half of them!! I am visiting this gym for three months and been there so far two months. I really like the gym and the staff. They are very friendly and helpful.
The clientele are very nice, friendly and respectful. The equipment and weights are well used but still very easy to use. There is a mixed clientele, all age groups and both male and female.
I am really enjoying working out there.
The gym is clean but an older facility and showing its age at times.
I would recommend it to anyone.

I swear this place is a social gathering for all the “sales guys” n so-called managers that I always see sitting around on their phones, while there’s holes in the walls, machines w weeks of down for maintenance signs on them, the instructors show up late to classes and no one informs us n we’re just standing around like idiots waiting, wondering n some leave the class - waisted our time but here’s the topper
I get instant calls at 8am when my card didn’t go through n they want to charge $196 for 4 personal! Trainings w a “certified” trainer I haven’t even had. And they call you with attitude but never suggest calling the facility to fix this/these issues

Friendly staff, it's kind of small, not alot of machines compared to the amount of people using the machines, lots of young high-school kids, it smells like gym socks, a dirty gym bag and toes, cardio machines are old and definitely need to be upgraded, they offer classes and rooms to reserve for your workout that's a plus, would of gave 5 stars but I'm not a fan of the outdated cardio equipment, the availability of weight machines or that horrifying smell and I've been to plenty of gyms before and a smell like that I have never.

Came in on a free pass today to check it out before purchasing membership. Thank goodness I did. This place needs help. No one even offered to give me a tour so I was on my own. So I hit the restroom first, filthy. Toilet seat covers all over the floor, TP on floor, urinals very dirt as well.
Then I was gonna start my leg day. First two machines I approached were completely broken, so not off to a good start. I got a mini workout in and left. I will not be joining. Even witnessed the cleaning lady dusting the walls, floors and machines with the same dirty duster.

I am new to the area but I have had LA Fitness for the last 10 years I was surprised that there was no disinfectant sprays at any of the stations especially with the pandemic. I asked the front desk why there was no sprays at any of the stations and she says I have to get him from here which was at the front desk. Not only isn't inconvenience to walk back to the front desk Before & After worked out so clean but but it does not promote cleanliness Because I observed many people not cleaning the equipment after it being used. Perhaps due to no disinfectant sprays being in sight? The kids club opens June 15th and if I see the same poor effort to keep the gym clean I will cancel the kids club and my membership.

I started my membership at the Corona LA fitness in January 2020 and had only used the membership until the shutdown in February/March. After that, I did not attend or use the membership all of 2020 or so far in 2021.

I noticed my credit card that I just paid off had charges for 2021 and I ended up looking into any previous charges.

I’ve been charged almost $400 in small random charges all of 2020 and 2021 even after I put my membership on pause.

I’m so upset that this company has sent random emails like “oh hey, we’re open for a week” and then charge $10, $20, $30 ea time per member I’m assuming.

Love how LA fitness charged its members for services they did not receive so that the company could help themselves financially during a pandemic when people are facing evictions an so on. It’s pathetic.

NO MASKS!! This is totally unacceptable, 95% of the people including employees were no wearing maks (having a mask on and not covering your mouth or nose doesn't do anything). To add salt to the wound all the machines were within 6' of each other. I only recently got a pass and for none of the employees to not even care, makes me rethink my pass.

One more thing, the employees at the counter don't even look at the thermometer when they take your temperature, I feel totally unsafe here.

If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to fire a guy named Dylan that works at the gym. I just moved here and was looking for gyms to join and from the second I got my free pass to check the gym out, this guy did not leave me alone. He hounded me to join the gym constantly and would call me after I had told him look I’m not making a decision until the end of the week, I have never been more annoyed by someone. He even called my friend 5 times in a row, after my buddy hanging up on him saying we’re not interested. He had the audacity to say he’s the top sales guy too like that’s an impressive stat working for a gym. Haha I never went back after the third day there. No problems with the staff. This gym is always such a mess, I’ve been coming here for a few months and nearly every visit I’m searching for weights. The dumbbells are always out of order and I’m always having to unload barbells that people left with weight on em. Might be a small complaint to LA considering the other reviews I’ve seen, but it’s enough for me to reconsider my contract when my year is up.
