The facility itself is quite nice but the men’s bathroom is disgusting.

There’s just about always a broken something, the floor is constantly wet from the hot tub and showers and there’s frequently wet paper towel / toilet paper on the floor.

I don’t want to think about people tracking that wet nastiness into the workout space but c’est La vie.

The Jacuzzi is very disappointed, small, dirty, i been to this Fountain Valley location for almost 2 months, 3-4 times a week, but only 2 days I can see the water is clear. The rest of the time the water was dirty, l have rash, and since then I don't go to the Jacuzzi anymore. Very disappointed.

Like the saying goes: you don't know what you have until it's gone. This used to be my home gym, but now I'm living in Cerritos near an LA Fitness. Esporta is supposed to be more affordable than LA Fitness apparently, but holy hell...this Esporta is much cleaner, updated, and has working AC compared to the LA Fitness in Cerritos/Norwalk. Anyone complaining about this location needs to go check out their other locations.

This LA Fitness was so inspiring. I've never been in a gym with so many older people staying strong and genuinely working out. Done of the put my husband and I to a challenge. The environment was more subdued. Seems to be an older gym but nice and clean with friendly staff. It's 2 levels with plenty of options for all.

Very trashy place, worst staff ever. I got a guest pass online for 3 days and I went in person scanned my QR code and started my workout.
This black with braids his name is Nick, comes to the lifting area looking specifically for me and is constantly calling me. Once I picked up the phone call they said come to the front to sign another waiver in person for liability and stuff, mind you I already signed a waiver when applying for the guest pass, I said cool let do it. This Nick guy comes and tell me that oh you are not supposed to come with guest pass on weekends and since you are here imma charge you 20 dollars or you have to sign up for a membership. Honestly that was so ghetto, I recently moved to this area and I was trying to see different gyms and pick whichever I like the best but their customer service sucks, LA Fitness should not let people like Nick work for them.

Trainer is the worst and power trip. Took the entire section when he is not even using it. The gym is already crowded but you being a dk about pull up bars. That’s multiple ones from being used because you are in the area. I have never had that experience anywhere else but her. UPDATE: 4/2025 - this is the 3rd Saturday I have wanted to swim and cannot because there is a swim class . There are 3 lanes , all are taken. The instructor told me her full lane is reserved . A class is understandable, but why can’t you be considerate of members’ time and post the class hours on signage like the one pictured for your ALL your Classes? My Saturdays mornings are valuable to me and if I cannot swim, I don’t need to spend time putting on my bathing suit taking a shower only to find out there is no room to swim. I have asked the staff to post the class hours and both times they’ve said that they need to “find out from the instructor. “Well, it’s been 3 weeks. How much time does it take? To be honest, I wish you didn’t have third-party classes at all ( like this one so I’ve been told) as we all pay for this membership and should have rights to use it at our convenience. As I post this review, another member also had to leave the pool because there were no lanes open . OLDER REVIEW -Nice facility, staff is nice . A little too pushy at sales process , but I understand times are tough. It seems no one is paying attention to details. The clock at pool has been out of battery or doesn’t work in ....forever ! There’s a sign for an event that took place in APRIL that should’ve been taken down . Also , Why do you allow people to go naked in the sauna or jacuzzi ?? It’s disgusting and I don’t want to have to address it myself to the people that do it, I think staff should monitor more closely and address this - I have seen this 3 times in the past 2 weeks.

It has been a few months since I posted my first review and I really want to give credit where it’s due. Over the past couple of months the gym has made improvements. It is kept very clean I see the cleaning crew every time I’m there . I also see that they are checking in on the restrooms , jacuzzi and pool areas now. GREAT JOB!!

Standard Suburban Style LA Fitness, quite busy at peak hours but overall a decent place to workout.

👍 Decently clean (not the cleanest I have been to but high volume is probably a lot of that, overall it was fine).
👍 Good amenities with the exception of no pool.
👍 Smaller locker rooms than some so can get crowded.
👍 Female/Male only spa and sauna. First time I've seen that option with a spa at an LA Fitness but assume that is because there is no pool.
👍 Tons of equipment. Plus they have individual entertainment systems on cardio equipment. Wish all locations would upgrade to this.
👍 Parking lot (can get busy, some EV parking is available too).
👍 Very large functional training area with lots of well maintained equipment.

Good gym for the price. Large parking lot but can get filled up during busy times.

3 full racks, 3 bench press, lots of free weights and decent machine selection. The gym floor layout is good, there's a sufficient amount of space between equipment and generally you don't have to wait for equipment.

Nice to have a sauna there but it is typically pretty busy and can get uncomfortable with that amount of people in a confined space.

I wish I can rate for 0 , I sign and don’t like it dirty small place , and I try to cancle , but they give me a paper of cancellation, and I don’t keep it . But in the system , they put my name on freeze. I don’t mention at all . After years, they charge me like a new customers. Total more than 200 , but I don’t show up for just one time to renewals. The things I really disappointed is the new employee doesn’t want to return money , and trask all things on customer and old employees, they really want your money , so be careful with the traps they opened for you , I hope you guys enjoyed the gym and not fall in the same situation, cause they make me like very stupid , and try to tell me call the lawer , cause they known they will win . The club itself is in great shape, clean, and has all the equipment and weights you would want for a good solid workout. The problem with this place is that the members do not put the weights back where they belong so finding any kind of free weight is damn near impossible. I witnessed many people running around looking for different weights that are scattered throughout the gym because after using them the previous member doesn't put them back to where they belong. This isn't the club's fault they can only do so much but the weight situation here is a mess.

If you decide to sign a contract with them, read every line of the contract carefully. Don't trust whatever they say. The guy signed the contract with me told me that I could cancel my membership whenever I want. Now I want to cancel it, but they refuse my request. Its a good size facility. Feels like there needs to be a lot more customer service from the kids who work there. Maybe not attention to customers so much as how they communicate with people, be more professional. I am also sure there are many things all those extra people can do other than looking at their cell phone. Like putting paper towels in the restroom which are never there! Or how about a second dispenser, one for the entire locker room? There are a few people who work there and are very attentive, great communicators. Step it up a notch, it doesn't cost anything to delegate more responsibility to the employees in your business, give them more training on how to talk to customers. Most clients aren't high school kids and don't want to be spoken to as such.

So many reasons. I rejoined at tail end of pandemic because they re-opened and said they were converting to 24 hr which never transpired. Esthetically from from first look it looks nice BUT, it is dirty. People leaving their empty bottles and nasty sweat paper towels on the ground. Been coming to the gym for a little over a year now but the last few months so many things have changed and the gym is just horrible now. I believe this is due to new management. You never see the same faces it seems like employees come and go. There’s never paper towels in the females restroom One can’t even dry their hands. It seems like they are on a tight budget but the gym seems to be overly crowded. If the budget is really the issue then why don’t they just add hand dryers. I am a mother who goes to the gym after work and I always take my kids with me but a few days ago they posted a sign at the kids club that they will be closing the kids club after speaking to the lady who works there which by the way is very kind she said that it was due to “not having enough kids to keep the kids club open” that is a huge lie how many kids do they want with only one person watching them? There’s been times when I take my kids in it is extremely full. This is a huge inconvenience given the fact that they recently charged my account for The kids club membership I think they should’ve at least given us a one month notice not a few days. This gym was good but bad management can ruin anything. unfortunately will have to be switching gyms.

I do not typically leave reviews, but this one is to serve the public. There are so many negatives that I do not know where to start. Let's begin with the front desk "chonky" lady (works at a gym lol) that constantly nags and borderline annoys the guests (premier members can bring up to two guests per visits) with her predatory sales tactics. Once you give up your phone number, they call you daily to ask you to join their tiny gym, with loads of people, where wait time is horrendous. Equipment are outdated and dirty. The facilities smells like a giant dumpster. The amenities are extremely lacking, comparing to other businesses. Avoid this place like the plague. Do yourself a favor and join elsewhere, or buy something cheap and workout at home, because I guarantee, whatever you get is of better quality than theirs.

Martha , the cleaning lady is so rude to all members in the ladies room. I ask her kindly to clean one section per section so it still allows us to use the one section of the clock room. Instead of kindly reply, she said no and pours soap on all counters and floor and dusting everywhere in the way to chase us out. I report it to the manager who is present on this Friday morning about the situation in the lady clock room, and all he responds is that is the way they clean and they don’t care about the member around the area and we need to get out or deal with. So disappointed with the attitude of the manager! The club tries so hard to give out all sale deal to get new members, but they don’t care and respect the existent members, especially elder members. Soap was all over the counter and floors that elder can slip and get accident, and instead the manager listen to our report and initiate the change in the way they clean, he said we just deal with the wet floor in the clock room and that is normal 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have been a member of this gym for a year call and came in 3 times to cancel my membership, The operations manager is never on site, neither over the phone or in person it’s a total mystery the customer is questionable, why not one can cancel a membership in person or over the phone, any time I call or walk in same history you need to speak to the manager… who doesn’t exist I m sorry but you The management need to say something to the public, thank you Adrian

Do not sign up for personal training. What a horrible nightmare dealing with trainer's cancelling sessions without advance warning. Men's Restrooms are not that clean - floors are almost always wet and is a slip/fall hazard. Only one or two locations are probably okay but the majority of the Esporta fitness are not well kept.

Hands down the worst experience ever especially with the new GM and her predatory sales tactics. Honestly the most unprofessional and un clean gym. Constantly smells like sewer and the overall atheistic is putrid all because of one GM.

The locker room is the worst out of the whole gym. The paper towel dispenser is always empty and the sinks are always wet and dirty. The trash bin full and messy. The janitorial quality is very poor!

So I signed up for a 3 days guest pass to go here and I got denied entry. My friend have previously took me here before but when I tried going by myself with the 3 days guest pass, they wouldn’t let me. The guy said I have been here before but only as a take in not a guest. There is no differentiation between guest under someone else and guest as a solo person. They also let me signed up on their website but if I couldn’t, why did they even send me a confirmation email saying I could go. I ended up paying $15 cause I already took my pre and don’t have time to drive around. The worker that talked to me was extremely rude and was basically yelling at me to “just get a pass here since I’ve been here before”. Bad experience overall

DON'T GO TO THIS GYM! The machines are never monitored and some are rusty (leg press machine, lat pull down machine, some cable machines, etc.) They only fix the machines until they are completely broken. Staff is terrible and some are not helpful at all. The dumbell rack isn't in order and dumbells are all over the place. Some dumbells are even at the cable machines! The staff told me that they are going to have the gym 24 hours starting July but has still not turned 24 hours yet. I asked the manager and told me that he doesn't know if they will even turn into 24 hours anymore!

The gym is extremely crowded now after they changed it from LA Fitness to Esporta. The reason they told me they changed the name was because they would convert to a 24/7 service, which still hasn’t happened after a year. Esporta is now just a cheaper option which makes it way more packed now.. I come at the last hour or two before they close and I still have to wait for machines and the parking lot is still very dense. It’s not the same as it used to be; I’d recommend going elsewhere less packed unless you want to gym right when they open every day.

This gym has been getting worse and worse. They “remodeled” it about a year and a half ago before COVID started. All they did was move machines around and change one area. The staff are not the best and when choosing a membership all they care about us money. Go somewhere else
