I've been coming to this location for over a year and I love it. When you walk in, the employees at the front are always welcoming and greeting everyone. They are crowded most of the time. Best to come really early or after 7pm. It's about time to update some of their machines. They do have a wide variety of machines to workout on from ones that use plates, stacks of weights and cables. Treadmills on the second floor with a nice view of the machines you're stalking. Single gender Sauna, all gender pool and hot tub. They also have a bunch of classes. Vending machines have the prime brownie bites from TikTok $5. Small combo lockers so you don't have to keep track of your stuff.

Employees are more concerned when the turf area is used by non personal trainer clients than the restocking of cleaning wipes. I was asked not to use the cable machine to stretch when it was unoccupied. They even went as far as to block the cable machine with a line divider. Yet, when i asked the gentleman working the front desk if they could refill the wipes i was only told they were low on them and no solution. Low on cleaning wipe??

I was already disappointed with a few factors of this gym. Including the unbearable stench of chlorine in all lockers and pool area, due to lack of ventilation, as well as how they falsely advertise certain promotions like a “free training” which is basically a seminar for why you should sign up for a $300/mo strength training even after we clearly let the agent know these expenses are not in our budget,… but most recently I have experienced harassment by some other gym members. Two individuals who were not seated on benches but insisted I was in their way during my very brief dumbbell exercise, apparently they were going to drop “150” lbs on me, etc. - VERBATIM - And apparently “that’s just how things work here” and how I can’t block someone’s performance (again, NOT SEATED, they were chatting around). I ended up ignoring the situation in fear of potentially pissing off an influencer after she has repeatedly tried to provoke me. Absolutely disgusting behavior. I hope you see this and reflect on your behavior and social skills. Nighttime exercise is for the complexed and mentally damaged influencers. Us actual people who strive for a healthy lifestyle let’s just keep it on weekdays and sunny hours.

I was hoping it would be a great experience here unfortunately it was not. Since the beggining the employees are really pushy and I know that is the job. The employee that enrolled me at this gym was nice but since all they want is to make people sign up he forgot to mention that there is a fee and there is also a time frame if you no longer want the membership. It would be great if they let you know all this plus that you need to notify way ahead of time if you want to cancel if not you are stuck paying for the month. It is really inconvinient and this should not be happening. Not to mention other stuff happening. I honestly was not satisfied with this gym and will look to join elsewhere.

Well run gym. It's hard to give them up for cheaper Planet Fitness because they're bigger, so less crowded, with better equipment and layout. Esporta is the discount spinoff of LA Fitness, but the exact same facilities. LA Fitness rule the fitness center concept since they opened. Fitness 19 comes a close second for smaller gym concept.

Usually anything that's broken is fixed in a few days time. Recently the pullover machine was down for over a month. I asked and found out they were on top of it daily, a part was being ordered from overseas. This is what the operations manager who sits at the computer behind the counter does full time, keeps the facility up and running without interruption. LA Fit is a well-oiled machine with years of experience.

Decent size gym with all the essentials, but avoid the afterwork crowds from 430p to 830pm you'll need patience at those times to get on the equipment you want. I've been going to this gym for over a year now. I would not recommend it to anyone. I need to find a new gym or Highland needs to bring a new gym. This place is horrible. For one, their hours are not 24 hours like they've promised. Sometimes they even close early or open late. They have roaches in the ladies restroom on the sink tops, spiders crawling on the grass area, and beetles crawling in the corners of the facility. They have two workout rooms, one is locked and no one can use it. They constantly have plumbing issues, power outages, AC goes out, water fountains are broken, machines are "out of order" for days. You can't use the grass area when trainers are "training" members. God forbid you set foot on the grass area or touch any of the equipment. Almost 90% of the time they will not be using any of the equipment with the poor souls that get trapped into the personal training scam. The trainers will wander off into the regular folks area and try to train. This location has many issues, people need to start speaking up and stand against their practices. Fees are charged annually, and monthly for many members, it's hard on the community when this place is full of issues.

Just want to say the sanitation lady Herlinda is amazing. Every time you see her she’s busy. Was disappointed when I approached a manager and was told to leave a yelp review because it should be an in house program to recognize associates even sanitation. After a disappointing experience at a 24 hour fitness Redlands gym, I decided to give Esporta Fitness Highland a chance, and boy, am I glad I did! This gym has exceeded all my expectations, thanks to the outstanding leadership of Manager Hugo, the impeccable cleanliness, and the exceptional dedication of Nacho. I joined because their membership guy promised me they were going to 24 hours in May, OF LAST YEAR 2022. They still haven't gone 24 hours and more than likely won't. Because of the terrible hours I can hardly use the facility I pay to use. The free weight area is always a mess and over crowded because no one wants to use the isolation machines. Ok...My third time going there employee's are friendly.
I do have 3 concerns about this facility...Are that the bathrooms are not very clean...Not filthy but maybe it's the time I go in (I go around 1 to 3 pm) and that most of the locks on the bathroom stalls do not lock ...That can be easily fixed but my biggest concern is that not everyone in this gym wears a face mask....Not even the employee's but only a few that I've seen....Yes there's a vaccine but we need to keep this going until this crisis is taken care of and yes it's hard to breath with a mask i have asthma but I still wear them.

I recently signed up for personal trainer sessions; however I learned the hard way; their director Ryan is misleading members and ripping them off with heating charges, and making members sign contracts that aren't fully disclosed. Not only that, I keep getting phone calls from their staff harassing me demanding money.
I'll be looking into hiring legal counsel for a class action against Sporta.

I signed up for this gym because of the aqua fit classes at the Highland location. The gym area has always been clean when I've been there and I often see people cleaning while I am there.

The three negatives are:

The women's showers: They are not real clean. Often see hair, bandaids, tissue or paper towels in the shower stalls. They also have a lot of gnat, but bigger, like bugs. Not pleasant to go to take a shower and there are 50 bugs starring at you. I've reported it multiple times. It gets better for a week then they are back.

The pool: when I signed up for the gym I was told they keep the pool at 80 degrees. It has never been anywhere close to that. More often than not it's uncomfortably cold. Not only is the water incredibly cold, they also have the air blowing right over the pool which makes it even worse.

The aqua fit class: I really enjoy Mary's Mon/Wed class. She was out for a while and that's when things got really bad. All of us who do the class (most of us, that's the only reason we go) would get there and there would be no instructor. A couple of times they scheduled someone who didn't show up or showed up 20-30 mins late. They even pulled random trainers in to cover. I got to where I would call first and be told yes an instructor will be there, I get there and she just wouldn't show up. It is a huge waste of time and gas money to drive 25 miles for nothing.

I will be going back in a few weeks and if they are still having the same issues I will cancel my membership and switch to Planet Fitness since the only reason I went to ESporta was the aqua fit classes.

I signed up for a membership here a couple of weeks ago and I already regret it. I feel like I take more pride in the cleanliness of the gym than the staff does. Every morning I come to work out (As soon as they open at 5) and there are un-racked weights scattered everywhere throughout the gym and water bottles left on the floor from the day before. It’s clear the staff that closes the gym each night does nothing to keep the gym cleaned or organized in any way. Also, as other reviews have mentioned, the staff isn’t professional or friendly. If you’re considering getting a membership here, think again.

I have been a member since they were LA Fitness. When I signed on after the pandemic, they had a teamthat was Helpfull, knwlegible and pleasant to workith. However, I agreed to sign up in the first place because I was told they would be going to a 24hr timeline by the end of the month. Ive had a membership to this gym for several years and just recently started working out again. I was extremely disappointed by the staff and their lack of professionalism. Most of the time they would huddle around the front desk socializing and not greet members as they would arrive. One employee was actually walking around with a baseball bat and the management didn’t seem to care.
There are lots of machines tagged for repair that just do not seem to get serviced. Weighs always seem to be missing. The facility is wiped down but not thoroughly cleaned. There is a difference.
Work on customer service. Retrain the staff to greet members and do the job they are being paid to do. The management team needs to do a much better job with their employees and hold people accountable.

Everything time I go, I take the same guest with me that they already got all the information and picture. I went today with the same guest and they were asking for identification. So when I inquired I was told this was an LA fitness under a different name and the pool was 2 meters deep, “as it is at all LA fitness gyms.” Perfect. For the workout I intended to do, I need a pool where it’s at least deeper than I am tall. This is 4.5’ deep at the deepest part. I got in the shallow end only to reach the deep end and find it wasn’t deep, and because I was already wet and only brought pool stuff and my slides I couldn’t workout. I took a shower, with the water turned all the way to the hottest setting it was ice cold and there was hair all over the shower stall. I went first thing in the morning too, when they opened, so this basically tells me that it wasn’t cleaned the night before when they closed. If you don’t clean then, when do you clean? They have no drying racks or places to hang your wet swimwear and they have no laundry bags for your wet swimwear either. As more places are getting away from plastic I can understand and appreciate that, but no drying racks or places to hang your wet stuff? Come on. I decided to go in the sauna. And promptly go right back out. Yikes. People coming off the street, not showering, going into the sauna with their shoes on that they walked in wearing. That’s disgusting. The rules clearly state to shower before entering. And you wear clean shower slides to the sauna and take them off before entering (that’s not in the posted rules but in the 5 states I’ve lived in and probably dozen gyms I’ve been to it’s understood etiquette). You don’t wear shoes in a sauna, and if you do then they should be the slides or sandals you wear only for this purpose, definitely not street shoes. You also don’t talk loudly and play on your phone. It’s rude when others are trying to relax. Additionally, the lockers, which are wooden cabinets, have varying hardware so you may have to try one or two before you find one your lock will fit through, and the first one I tried to open, the door fell off. 2 stars because it’s a large facility with many machines and amenities, although I can’t say I’ll be using most of them. Luckily I was only going as a guest, I wanted to check it out before I signed up for the membership, which I obviously won’t be doing.

Esporta fitness feels cleaner and more updated since it was LA fitness. There seems to be a more relaxed vibe in the gym. This is a place for all ages to come and get what they need weather it’s Olympic weight sets and machine variety or the basketball / racquetball courts. Sauna, pool, and spa don’t disappoint. Membership prices are between $15-25 monthly. Hours are expansive enough to accommodate most work schedules. Ask for a 2 week guest pass!

I like smaller gyms and this gym gives me the smaller gym feel without being too small. I like working out here. I’ve tried a few gyms in the area. My home gym closed permanently and I was really bummed so this was a nice alternative. Not packed crazy like the competition
