I’ve had my LAFit membership for a little over a year now. I started with the Pilates add-on for about six months and absolutely LOVED Lizzie’s classes. She brings such positive energy into both you and your workout (and trust me, that doesn’t mean the workout was easy!).

The LAFit app makes it super easy to add Pilates or personal training classes, and when I decided to switch, canceling my Pilates package was effortless. Honestly, Pilates was the best deal because it was unlimited classes. In Orange County, most Pilates packages run about $300 for only 8–10 classes per month, but I wanted to go 4–5 times a week. LAFit’s affordable Pilates add-on made that possible without breaking the bank.

After Pilates, I switched to the personal training add-on, and it’s been over six months now with Zion, Wainani, and Marlinda. They’re my people! They’ve really built me up and kept me motivated.

Of course, I can still use the gym and all of its amazing equipment without any add-ons, but I know myself: I need a guide or I won’t do it.

My only minor qualm is with the pool. There’s an “unspoken rule” of two people max per lane. I’m used to circle swimming, but the patrons here do NOT like that. With only three lanes, that means just six people can swim at a time, so waiting for a lane can be frustrating. It would be nice if there were another “unspoken rule” where those who just want to walk or lounge in the pool could gather in one lane, making things more efficient for everyone.

This gym overall is great! The facilities are clean and the amenities and equipment provided are very nice. I really enjoy all of the group classes as well. The only negative is I signed up for personal trainer contract after the "free" session. The sessions cost $60 for 25 minutes each, but I didn't realize that they were only 25 minutes when I signed the bullet-proof contract. On top of that, I just realized they have Master Trainers, but my contract doesn't include those! Seriously, I don't pay enough to get one? So my advice is to definitely join the gym, but get your own trainer. That's what I plan to do after I can cancel my 6-month contract, which amounts to over $1,000 for 3 sessions per month.

a total scam they are being back and forth with the membership and try to make it sounds as cheap as possible ( i am a member since 2020) when i asked them how much is for my membership + bringing a guest + my sister’s membership and if she can bring a guest in. they said its only $75, but when i got billed for the first and second month of signing up, its over $150 nearly $200 for 2 persons!? i can totally understand the yearly fee and monthly fee situation for each person but then when my sister trying to bring a guest in, they refuses to let them in and said she has no guest priviledge? they charged her over $85 and not even allow to bring a guest in?? make it make sense So, when i talk to them about situation, the manager said she can bring the guest in, but when the associate was there at the front desk saying that my sister can’t bring a guest in because she has to upgrade her membership, while her membership is $85 for herself, and when i talked to them about it, theyre not making sense, saying that i have to pay an extra $40 to able to bring a guest in ??

Really nice facility with a variety and good amount of cardio equipment. The free weights and weights are is clean and people are respectful. I visit at least 4 times a week at differing times and this has become my home gym. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There’s an are with mats for stretching.

Literally one of the BEST gyms I’ve ever been too! Our Family did a staycation at an Airbnb about 10 minutes down the road and I still have my LA fitness membership so I thought I would check this out while my son was sleeping and thankfully I did!

For all you HYROX, CrossFit, functional, HIT peeps that love Different, Modern machines, You’re going to absolutely love this gym! Concept 2 ski-ergs, concept 2 rowers, a turf area that is Pretty much connected to the skier so if you need to couple your Burpee broad jump workouts with a monostructural movement, couldn’t be set up any better!

Additionally, They have a bigger turf area that has boxes for box jumps, Battle, ropes, sleds, And an Olympic lifting platform! Adjacent to that is their free weights and other Olympic lifting platforms For all you strong, fellas that love to squat some weight!!

They also have an outdoor pool, sauna and steam room and SO much more. If you’re in the Huntington Beach area or the surrounding areas, do not Hesitate, You’ll thank me later!!

I’ve had a great experience at LA Fitness, and a big part of that is how well this location is managed. Royce is doing an excellent job keeping everything running smoothly, and it really shows in the overall atmosphere of the gym.

Because of my line of work, I drive a lot and stop by different LA Fitness locations from time to time. I’ve been to at least 10 different locations, and I can confidently say that none of them come close to how clean and well-organized this one is. The equipment is always in the right place, and everything is well-maintained.

The personal training team is fantastic, and while I don’t know all the names, I have to give a special mention to Scott—he’s incredibly experienced, always willing to help, and truly dedicated to keeping the gym in top shape. I’ve personally seen him re-rack weights and organize equipment dozens of times, making sure everything is in order for the next person. That level of care and responsibility is rare to see.

The Kids Club is another highlight! My daughters absolutely love spending time there, and the staff is simply amazing. Angelina, Alexis, and Michelle are all so great with the kids, creating a fun and safe environment. It’s a huge relief knowing my little ones are happy while I work out.

Overall, this LA Fitness location is top-notch—well-managed, spotless, and with a welcoming staff that makes it an excellent place to train. Highly recommend!

Went in to talk about memberships and the teenagers behind the desk with their feet propped up shoved a clipboard at me and said “fill this out.” I asked if I have to give all of my personal information (name, address, phone number, etc) just to find out the price of a membership and the girl rolled her eyes and said “yeah.” I walked out. No other gym has played those games. All the other local gyms have been happy to explain pricing, give a tour of the gym, and show the schedule of classes without any problems and without asking me to fill out forms. I've been a member here since this location opened. It is such a nice gym! so clean and bright and has so much to offer, yoga, pilates, perspire, hydration room. The staff is wonderful, Roxy is so kind and sweet, Scott a great trainer. Terribly maintained and poorly managed. Ellipticals never plugged in so no battery life to get in a workout. Spin bikes have loose handlebars, pedals out of whack, bikes off kilter. I’ve been a member for a while and LA fitness has helped me meet alot of my goals! The staff here ant HB location is another story. They are rude sometimes and self seeking. Perhaps customer service training for employees could be implemented. A lot of staff always on cell phones and not attending to the front desk. A lot of contradiction in rules and regulations. Hopefully leadership can take feedback into consideration and apply to upgrade customer service since people pay a lot for the gym membership they attend!

I’ve been an LA Fitness Member for over 8 years, I recently was injured and had to stop going for 2 months, I called back to get my membership reinstated and the young woman on the phone told me I was Banned from all LA Fitness locations? I asked if this was because of my non payment and she said no, stated again that I am not to enter any LA fitness clubs and would not give a reason then hung up, I called the Irvine location to see what was going on and they told me I just need to pay my balance or start a new membership and that I’d be fine, while I’m on the phone with Irvine, the lovely young woman from the Huntington location called me 3 times, when I called the Huntington location back she answered and then went on to tell me I’m actually not banned and just need to pay my payment. As a corporate gym it’s sad that you let your employees talk to customers like this.

So there is only one air bike in the whole gym. It’s in the roped off area so it’s only allowed by people being trained by a personal trainer. Out of the two years or so that I’ve gone here, I’ve seen it being used maybe once. But I was kicked off of it the other day anyways. I’m also a member at UFC in HB which is massive and has every type of equipment you could want. The only reason I go here is because it’s closer to my house if I have to get a quick work out in, otherwise I would never come here.

Great gym! Clean bright and updated but the front desk is rude and doesn’t pay attention to what’s going on.
On 1/7/24 we had to check in 4 times because staff wasn’t paying any attention, while this normally wouldn’t bother me the last African American male who ordered us to check in was rude and inconsiderate about the situation. We advised him that we already checked in, but all he said was I ok but I need you to check in again. It’s as if he didn’t trust that we checked in. His lack of trust and approach were uncalled for.

I called corporate to complain and it showed we were checked in 4 times. Not sure if this guy was having a bad day and decided to pick on their members but hopefully this won’t happen again after being reported.

I hope that this action done to us was not due to our ethnicity.
We did not see any other members have to check in more than once In less than a 10 minute timeframe.

Do better la fitness hold your employees accountable for their actions against your members.

This gym doesn’t open till 8 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. Can’t understand why you’d wait until 8 AM on both days during the weekend to let people come work out it’s ridiculous. VERY unprofessional and I will not be returning to this location. I have been with La fitness for many years. I have never had any issues until today. My fiancé and I visited this location to workout. We were working out together when we were approached by a LA Fitness manager. The Male was Caucasian with blonde hair muscular build.

The Caucasian male approached my fiancé and I in an aggressive matter demanding that I not “Personal train” at that location. My Fiancé was unfamiliar with that piece of equipment and I was explaining to her how to use it to prevent her from injuring herself. Instead of him asking professionally what I was doing, he assumed otherwise. I advised the employee that we were working out together like we always do. The Caucasian male insisted I was lying and threatened to cancel my membership. I believe that since I do not look like most people in the gym, being that I am a person of color the employee attempted to humiliate me in front of other gym goers and his coworkers. I am a Police Officer and I have never felt the prejudice that I felt at this location. It’s a shame because the facility is new but it does not matter if minority’s do not feel welcome. I am leaving this review not to shame all the staff but the man who’s probably subjected other African Americans to this same ordeal. I rarely write reviews but I know I am not the first to experience this at this location. No one deserves to feel uncomfortable or singled out due to one mans ignorance.

The manager (Rockfee Walsh) of any business should always take phone calls from customers. A manager shouldn't ever screen calls, or have phone-answering employee ask what the call is regarding. I workout with boxes, sled, plyo, personal training area and always respect trainers area and clients. Sunday NO ONE was training and I was ask to leave this area by "Royce" who sent one of the young guys to tell me. Royce said personal training area is ONLY for trainers and kicked me out. Earlier there were others in this area and no one was in the gym, NO trainers training. NO LA Fitness I have ever been to has done this, I believe Royce's choice to disrupt my training was based on "other" reasons, I'm new to this gym, area and I don't look like everyone else. I didn't choose to speak with Royce because I didn't want negativity or my energy disrupted as my workout was, if this is "Royce" rule he or she needs to be consistent. LA Fitness is a corporate gym not a training or sports specific personal gym. Making members uncomfortable etc. is not a part of health and wellness. The gym is my sanctuary and peace I shouldn't feel uncomfortable or have my peace disrupted please and thank you.

This is my favorite LA Fitness because of the fantastic layout and vast array of equipment. There is a big warm up/stretching section with mats, the class studios are massive, and the turf section is also huge with a ton of equipment everywhere. The custodial staff are phenomenally friendly and keep the place spotless. The pool is so beautiful it almost looks like a resort. Love this gym!

On Wednesday I asked Drew if they had a family bathroom so I can help my disabled family member dress on his bad days (like today). He politely said that was a good question and he didn't know but would ask.

Today he said I can't go in the locker room and stared at me blankly when I asked him if he spoke to his manager. Thanks Drew.

Really great gym. Has all the equipment you’ll ever need. Only downside are the hours. Even extending the closing time an hour through the week and 2-3 hours on the weekend would be great for the people that work late or on the weekends. Pretty annoying compared to other gyms but other than that great gym.

Full of CLOWNS from the front desk up to the manager!

UPDATE: POS organization, they want to charge me a year renewal that would expire December 2021 (today is 4/2/21). The front desk clown and his “manager” tried to sell me new membership for another $120 more a year. Save the trouble and sign up with your local clubs.

Clean gym, I live close by, super convenient. Terrible weekend opening hours. Who opens at 8am. The rest of the gym world opens by 6am during the weekend. I've multiple excuses, but non of makes sense.

This location on Golden West in HB is actually pretty great. It feels a bit smaller when you walk in, but the equipment is well organized and clean, and the functional training area and the outdoor pool are favorite amenities at this location. Depending on your fitness goals, the organization of this location makes for an efficient circuit and/or cardio workout session.

Courteous hosts, accommodating, properly sturdy equipment, and clean. This place has it all for a quick workout between your busy schedule. Most even have delicious shake to break you fast! LAFit You Right! Great workout!

This gym does not enforce mask and gloves which is awesome.. Having Californian asthma wearing them has made it impossible for breath, and gloves just helps over heat ur body! For those who has issues for those who does not wear mask and gloves keep ur panicky a$$es at home..

They control the capacity, but once you enter the gym, there are so many people not wearing masks, nor employees enforcing its policy.
If you care about your health as much as you care about your fitness, other LA fitness/gyms are safer and better.

Joined after Covid to swim and what a nightmare. They need a reservation system. They only allow 2 in the pool and closed off the middle lane. Than they're constantly changing the rules, one day you can swim 30 - 45 minutes the next day only 20 minutes, I've seen people getting at each other, because a different manager says something else. just get a reservation system and be done with it.
