I used to come to this LA Fitness regularly, but lately I’ve been hearing that people’s cars are getting broken into in the parking lot — and nobody is doing anything about it. They break windows and leave people with expensive repair bills. Unfortunately, this just happened to me, and now I have to pay a lot of money to fix my window for no reason.

LA Fitness really needs to hire a security guard to protect the parking area during open hours. I’m very disappointed with this location. It’s not the first time people have suffered from this problem, and it’s unfair that members keep paying the price for the gym’s lack of proper security. 👎👎👎

The gym etiquette here is horrible/ virtually nonexistent-- lots of inconsiderate people at this tiny location. This gym is always packed and good luck trying to find a spot/bench/weights to workout with because this gym is so unorganized & untidy. Plus all the equipment is rusty

I signed up for a 3 day guest pass directly on their website and received a email with a QR code to use for check in. When I get there they don’t let me use the pass and only tried to get me to sign up for a membership. They shouldn’t be offering these passes if they just use it as a front to get you to sign up for a membership.

I’m visiting from another state and went to this LA Fitness on the morning of 08/21/2025. There were no machine hand wipes on any of the dispensers in the gym. I went to the men’s restroom, washed my hands and one of the two hand air dryers was not working. There were no paper towels to clean your hands in the restroom. I felt this location is very unsanitary and I do not recommend anyone to go there. Whoever the manager is, is NOT doing their job.

Welcome to the South East LA gym experience. Overpacked gym nearly at all times of the day with people hogging machines/stations. Want to have a conversation at the machines, come on in! That 3 minute break between Sets is closer to 5. Make sure to bring your own cable accessories as none are ever to be found.

The gym is great everything is always clean. The gym is well equipped with treadmills I just wish it had more weights, benches etc. UPDATE- I left LA fitness after I felt they had made good improvements but not enough. LA fitness has a long way to go and a lot to learn from Planet fitness. Planet fitness is cheaper and they offer better equipment and cheaper prices.

Si van a hacer cualquier movimiento como el de cancelar sus membresía, hablen directamente con los gerentes y exijan que les muestren su recibo que si se canceló.

Me cobraron 2 meses extras y no me dieron rembolso según porque ya había pasado el tiempo para hacerlo... pero mi dinero si llegó a sus cuentas bancarias sin demora, verdad?

I told the gym about it and they said they’ve been stealing cars from there for months and yet they don’t have security to take care of our cars while we’re working out they make so much money out of memberships and they can’t get a security guard to take Care of our cars. Be careful lock your cars get a good alarm if you’re gonna Go to the gym because they don’t care. They told about five cars in the last month Luckily, they weren’t able to turn on my truck but dead break the key part of it and had to tow it back home.

Do not go to this LA Fitness! Or at least go expecting a clean and reliable facility. It is poorly maintained and the people that go here are either oblivious to how poorly maintained or just used to it by now.

I have been going to LA Fitness for over 10 years. I have been going to the Santa Monica, West LA, Inglewood and Playa Del Rey locations. Those locations have always been clean and maintained. Machines are always working or are quickly fixed if broken.

I recently moved to the Huntington Park and started going to LA Fitness in Huntington Park on Slauson. It is like night and day compared to the LA Fitness locations in the west side of LA. This LA fitness is poorly maintained, machines are constantly broken, the aerobic room is constantly closed for “cleaning” during peak hours. The cleaning staff literally kick people out of the aerobic room to wipe down the windows (see video).

When I first started going to this LA Fitness I thought maybe it was a fluke that there was no soap to wash your hands or functioning sinks. I complained to the staff was told it would be fixed but a 3 days later it was still not fixed. I couldn’t believe something as simple as soap to wash your hands is not available or a functional sink! I called corporate and made the same complaint and was told it would be fixed. 4 days later and still either no soap or water in the soap dispenser. I’m not joking…there was literally water in the soap dispenser. It’s disgusting and unhygienic considering all the equipment and restroom thats being shared. Sooo I called again to corporate and raised the same complaint. I literally called the corporate office 5 times in a span of 3 months to finally get the issue resolved and have something as basic as soap in the restroom and a functioning sink.

This is only the issue with the soap and the sink in the men’s restroom. I haven’t started on the broken treadmills that either don’t work at all or don’t go past 5.5mph. This also doesn’t include the fact that their cleaning staff closes the aerobic room during peak hours to “clean”. This LA Fitness is poorly maintained and poorly managed. The management here has little to no regard to its patrons and frankly neither does their corporate location. As long as you keep your membership paid, they do not care. Don’t come here. Go to Blink or 24 or Cruze or any other gym but here. Spend your money where you are valued.

It was time for me to upgrade from that popular/affordable gym that let's kids work out for free during the Summer. The rep by the name of Alejandro was very friendly, quick, and up front about the very reasonable pricing, fees, and terms of conditions. The gym has a solid variety of weight lifting options/machines, and I look forward to getting swole this Summer.

Got a membership here since I work in the area and coming here after work is more convenient.

My biggest complaint is that people do not re-rack dumbbells after using them and if they do, they do so in the wrong place. So if you need a dumbbell you need to either hope someone re-racked it correctly or ready to play a scavenger hunt to find them.
If you're also more of a free weight person, the area isnt very large compared to other gyms I have been to, and is crowded.
Aside from that it gets the job done, its good for my needs, but would not recommend.

If you want to comfortably work out - stay away from this gym. Every single person using a machine is there to gossip and be on their phone. Cleaning staff is rude and asks you step out of the aerobics room so they can finish cleaning two hours before the gym officially closes.

Tengo años con mi membresia , pero la economía ya no deja pagar por lo cual el gym es un lujo en mis gastos y fui a cancelar , me dijieron que podía ir a cualquier gym en persona, fui a este gym que esta cercas, pedí hablar con la Manager la chica de la estrada me pregunto para que la necesitaba y le dije que para cancelar y me preguntó porque( algo que no es de su incumbencia)pero no fui grosera y le expliqué porque, mi tarjeta , se me perdió y no pude hacer el pago y por eso fui a cancelar pero me dijo que la manager estaba ocupada. Un día anterio paso lo mismo con un chico que estaba en la entrada pero ese día si era más tarde .
Es muy molesto tener que ir a cancelar y nadie te quiere atender pero no fuera para cobrarte porque te llaman cada rato y para ofrecerte membresia todo mundo está .

This is my home gym, and yes, I am too lazy & sometimes too busy to drive to one further away. It is a small gym but the updates it underwent after the pandemic have been superb!. It is very clean and all staff are kinds and helpful. I only have 2 problems with it: (1)they have NO WI-FI and data sucks due to the type of construction it is built. ...
& (2) some people take over a hour or more on the squat racks. There are only 3 squat racks, so it sucks if u get 3 of those people on each rack.

Anyone noticing that the staff is closing the aerobics room way too early ? They literally take hours to mop the room. We have been kicked out multiple times from the aerobics room. Last time I went around 8:30 and they had finished moping the room but they had blocked it off with wet floor signs and trash cans so people wouldn’t enter. We are paying for this gym and should be allowed to enter. It’s getting ridiculous because it has happened too many times.
