One of the dirtiest, filthiest LA fitness I ever have seen.
They are no shower curtains in the mens showers. Management told me, the curtains were removed because of inappropriate behavior occurring in the showers. that alone should tell you what kind of place this is.
The sauna wooded benches are black from how dirty they are. You can't even see the brown wood.
Nothing but shaved head, bully, thugs come here. The type of people that just stand talking next to the equipment will not use it and won't let you use it either. And just try to flirt with women at all times. The gym is small and the size of a 4 car garage. The equipment is old, outdated and breaks down frequently.
You have to pay for parking.
They have a revolving door of employees and managers, thus nothing gets fixed or resolved. And no one cares because it's just a filler job until they find something better. The result is a dilapatated gym, with rampant issues, that is in dire need of repair.
Stay away from this gym.

Worst LA fitness I've ever been to. The manager does not care at all. Everything is filthy and the AC is constantly broken. You can breathe other people's breath and sweat. The Parking machine is complicated and there is always a line to get it validated. I love my other LA fitness in Westwood but the bundy location is the worst

Update: nothing has changed except that now they started charging for parking too. There is plenty of free street parking within a 1 block radius.
...
The worst maintained location I've been to by far. It's too bad, if they just fixed things it's got some of the best amenities. Would love to regularly hit the cold plunge here. Both of the saunas have been broken (either non operational or 40-80 degrees under temp) every time I've gone (maybe 6-8 times in the last year). All the benches and most the machine seats are completely torn apart so you can't sanitize them. Even the emergency sprinklers look broken. The pool area is regularly flooded or littered with fake nails, hair, and bandaids. This place kinda feels like a staph infection waiting to happen. The showers/lockers and cardio machines are fine though.

The facility is well-organized, clean, and offers a great variety of machines, classes and equipment — just like every other LA Fitness I’ve visited. I joined the Santa Monica location because it’s only five minutes from home.
However, on my third visit I brought my swim gear, expecting to use the pool and jacuzzi services as I have at other LA Fitness locations. But I was told the pool was closed indefinitely and It appears that it is being renovated for Pilates classes. This was never mentioned when I signed up, even though I specifically noted that I had enjoyed the pool option at the other locations.
I don’t think I was intentionally misled, but the omission of the lack of a pool was a bit disappointing.

LA Fitness makes it hard to cancel a membership, impossible to talk to the right people, they gaslit me, & treated me disingenuously when they messed up. I've never had such a poor experience in a customer service setting.
I had a membership for over a year & I paid for add-on services. I paid double on enrollment for the first & last month. My account billed at the end of the month.
I moved to a city 600 miles from the nearest LAF. Several days before my billing date, I called my club to cancel. They refused saying I had to come in. I explained my situation, was put on hold, but the call dropped. I called the next day, I was put on hold again for over 20 min until I had to hang up for a meeting.
I didn't have time again until the billing date. I called and the staff told me I would have to call corporate because there was no manager in. Corporate then told me I couldn't cancel over the phone AT ALL. Corporate redirected me AGAIN to submit a request via the app, so I did.
LAF didn't process my cancellation until 3 days later. I use a specific account for subscriptions and noticed LAF kept trying to charge me even though I just cancelled. I waited to add more funds to my account because I didn't want LAF to charge me since I just cancelled.
Later, LAF's collections dept called me to get me to pay the charge. I told them what happened, refused to pay since I did everything to cancel early & still submitted the request on time. They said they couldn't stop the charges. It was odd since they had the power to take my money but not stop the charges.
I called & I was told the charges should stop.
Two weeks later, the charges stopped, so I resumed using the same payment until LAF finally successfully charged me.
I called my club—they couldn't help.
I called corporate & explained everything, asking the employee, Evelyn, to remove the charge.
She explained that I was being charged because I didn't cancel in time. I explained I tried early, still submitted on time, but LAF slow-walked my request.
The call took on a baffling pattern: she would cite one LAF policy why the charges were right, I'd explain why that policy couldn't apply, she'd cite another, I'd explain it, and she'd restart the cycle like she didn't hear.
Specifically, I explained the situation; she said I was charged because I cancelled late; I said was only late because of LAF made timely cancellation impossible; she'd say I should've canceled in-person; I'd say I was unable because I moved (like I already said); she'd say that means I had to cancel online via the app; I said that's just what I did; she'd say but it was late; I'd say it wasn't late because I tried to call early, submitted in time, but LAF slow-walked it; then she'd say LAF had a policy that I should've done it in-person; & I'd say we've been over this; then she'd cycle back through.
She also tried to convince me the fees charged were for the prior month, where I used the gym. I said that was nonsense because when you sign-up you pay up front, for the future month, not the past one. Then she took me on a 3rd ride through the above cycle.
I asked for a manager multiple times, but she refused.
Yes, LAF is a business and has to protect itself from shady members. My situation wasn't that. I paid regularly, paid for extra services, & I worked to cancel several days before my final billing date. The ONLY possible reason my cancellation wasn't timely was because of LAF employees/policies.
I've been in other customer service situations. I always go in open to the chance that I made an error or there's a good faith policy explanation. My only expectations were that I'd get a full/partial refund or a sensible explanation why not.
I didn't get either. I had a long run-around, involving at least 6 calls. When I finally talked to the right person they ran me through a senseless shell game. I'm not mad I didn't get my refund. I'm mad they acted like my request was nonsense.
I'll move back to LA, but I'll never use LAF again. I hope the $65 was worth a multi-year membership.

Right from the start I walk in, the guy seem friendly asking about my goals. Has me fill out a form. Shows me around then we walk back to his desk. He shows me all the membership deals going on. Which I already did my reasearch on. I told him I still have my current gym membership active til the end of the week but wanted to try this one out once more since I had tried it at the beginning of the year only for 1 day during peak hour.
He told me the deals end tomorrow and i told him ok I will sign up tomorrow but he was persistant on forcing me to sign up today. I informed him I will come back tomorrow in the afternoon yet he still started typing all my information and telling me I wont get charged til tomorrow. I told him i hate being pushed and told what to do if i already made a plan. He stated the gym isnt free and i will have to pay, that if i just wanted a free guest pass i could have just asked for that.
I no longer want to join this gym even if its closer to work.
I get that they work for commision and i would have asked for him to have me sign up tomorrow after trying it out today but after the way he acted I will not be coming back for another try.

The coed sauna is disgusting. Nobody showers before getting in there and everyone comes in with their shoes on. I’ve complained about this so many times and no staff at this location wants to put up a sign that explains the rules. The least they can do is put up signage.

The gym itself seemed pretty good. Lots of equipment. Pool still shut. However the 3-day trial membership is a borderline scam. After signing up online and getting a QR code saying "scan for entry", when I got there they made me do a tour followed by a relentless hard sell to take out a membership. So that was already quite misleading. The sales guy tried everything in his power to get me to sign up then and there, and borderline accused me of dishonesty for wanting to try the gym before committing "oh so I guess you're not serious", "don't really want to join a gym" etc. Then when it was time to go they tried to refuse to validate my parking because that's for "club members" whereas I had a "guest pass". Tried to get me to pay 14 bucks for the 90 minutes, half of which of course was the endless sales pitch. When I pointed out this was not made at all clear and was a borderline scam they started out arrogant but then rolled over pretty quick -- guess they agreed! The irony is that the gym was fine for my needs and I probably would have joined if they hadn't treated me like shit for taking them up on their offer to try before a commitment. I will pay through the nose elsewhere purely to never have to deal with that sales team again !

A truly disgusting place. If you have any respect for yourself, stay away from this public health hazard of a gym.
LA Fitness clearly has zero standards of cleanliness and this location hasn’t been fixed up or renovated since maybe Reagan was president.
The lockerooms/bathrooms (men) are shockingly dirty. No one wipes down the lockers or mops the floors or cleans the showers regularly. The glass door to the sauna has the same sweaty hand smears on it for the past year.
Today, I witnessed the janitor wipe the urinals with a cloth, and then use the same cloth a few seconds later on the faucets and countertop.
And I wish I could at least pretend I’m clean when I’m here by using hand sanitizer, but the dispensers are hardly ever working.
Regarding the actual gym, it’s the same quality as every other LA Fitness around here. Which is low. It stinks of mildew and sweat and the AC is barely on. But luckily the weights weigh the same everywhere you go. So, five stars to Gravity I guess. LA Fit? I’d give you less than one if I could.
Conclusion: LA Fitness thinks we’re stupid and they’re laughing all the way to the bank.

Let me start by saying the gym itself isn’t bad it’s more so the people that go there that are a problem. I was there for about 4 months and here are some of the things I saw in that time that I found pretty disgusting. Two instances in the sauna (separate occasions) one guy was just sitting on the bench completely naked and would get and move spots so he didn’t have to sit in his sweat and the other time another guy completely naked in the sauna but at least he standing but when I got out of the sauna he was using the hand dryer to dry his groin area off. Next two examples are from the toilet. One time had to use the bathroom and was waiting for a stall. One finally opened up until I walked in and the guy left like 20-30 of the toilet seat covers on the back of the toilet with poop on them. Second time somebody just took a poop too large and it wouldn’t flush away. Also you can expect to see hair regularly in the sink as people regularly shave and ive seen a few people give themselves haircuts too. Gym itself is not bad they have tons of equipment, pretty affordable for the LA area, and friendly staff. Only problems with the gym itself I have is paying a dollar for parking at the gym is a slight inconvenience and they run out of wipes fairly quickly

One day. That’s all it took for me to regret switching to this gym.
I wasn’t thrilled from the start, but I was willing to overlook the lack of proper changing rooms and the lack of privacy in the women’s bathroom. What really pushed me over the edge was the attitude of some of the staff. It feels like they earn commission from any extra fees they can squeeze out of you, because that’s the only way I can explain the rude text I received after canceling a program I had mistakenly signed up for due to misunderstanding on the pricing.
I was with Planet Fitness for five years and never once felt this uncomfortable or disrespected.
If I hadn’t already spent over $100 just to sign up, I would’ve gone back to my old gym immediately. At this point, I’m stuck trying to make that money worth it and will be looking for a different location in hopes of finding staff that treat members better.
But one thing’s for sure: when I do cancel, I will never consider this chain again.
My advice: Use a free trial or guest pass before committing. If I had done that, I would’ve gone elsewhere

I have visited this LA Fitness for years, two weeks ago my parked car in the lot was hit hard & dented on the passenger side door while i was working out. I spoke to the front desk employee to retrieve the security camera footage and was tolled none of the parking lot cameras are functioning.
I filed a police report and followed up by calling for updates on any leads. The club manager Elvin was of 0 help, a police detective attempted to call Elvin a week after the incident and never had a phone call returned, i attempted to speak to Elvin and left my name and number and I never received a call back.
An employee a young man at the front desk mentioned to me that i wasn't the only person to complain of a hit-and-run in the parking lot this year, this is apparently an ongoing issue at LA Fitness Bundy.

I’ve been going to LA Fitness on Bundy on and off for years. It’s definitely not my favorite gym, but the price is so low that I end up getting the membership again.
In the past, the gym was very dirty and poorly maintained. Now, I can see some improvements — it’s still not the cleanest, but better than before. I’ve noticed they’ve repaired some machines and seats that were torn, and there’s usually someone cleaning, which is nice. Still, the overall cleanliness isn’t great. For example, I left my towel on the floor next to a machine while working out, and when I picked it up it was full of dust.
On the positive side, it’s fully equipped, the staff is nice, and parking is convenient — either on the street or in the paid lot ($1 cash or $1.50 with card).
Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap gym with plenty of equipment, this location does the job. Just don’t expect high quality or spotless conditions.

Cons: Members: talking loudly and exercising in the Saunas.
Pros: everything else is pretty great. Front Staff are friendly enough.
Conclusion: Fix your assets & equipment in a timely manner.

I've been going to LA Fitness (West LA / Bundy) for the past couple of months, and I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. Everything is so convenient at this location — the large open parking lot makes coming and going super easy, and the variety of group classes offered every day is fantastic. There are multiple class options at different times, and I’ve enjoyed every instructor so far!
The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I also appreciate that the gym has a diverse mix of members — from younger people to older adults — which creates a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
I especially want to highlight my personal trainer, Jessica K. She is truly the best! Sweet and supportive, but also a strong and motivating coach. I love Jessica's style of training — she makes every session not only effective but also fun. She takes the time to listen to my goals and concerns, and thoughtfully includes them in our workouts.
Each session leaves me feeling more confident and inspired. I’m learning new exercises, how they impact my body, and how to safely use different machines. I'm starting to feel less intimidated at the gym and more empowered. I even catch myself looking forward to our next session right after finishing one — and I’m already seeing progress, which is so motivating!
If you’re looking for a personal trainer who is both kind and knowledgeable, I highly recommend Jessica K. Training with her has been a game-changer.
Overall, going to this gym has been a great decision for me!

Didn’t have the best experience at LA fitness—the gym per se is alright, but the customer service is below par. To top it off, you have to pay for parking, which is absolutely ridiculous! My ticket was validated incorrectly and I was charged $8.50 for a 50 min work out session. The person at the front desk was not helpful at all and told me that they couldn’t do anything about it and that I’d have to connect with the parking folks to ask for a refund!
In this case, I’m a LA fitness customer who happened to use the lot attached to the business. LA Fitness, do better to help out your customers. Now I have to call a bunch of numbers to get this issue resolved which is very frustrating.

I was harassed at this gym.
I walked in with a free guest pass and told staff that I only had a limited time to work out. I was sat down at a table with multiple suited men, who asked me increasingly intrusive questions like where am I from, where do I live now, what’s my motivation to work out, my fitness goals, my job, my exact field of work, etc etc. I was giving them monosyllabic answers because I was not interested in engaging with them, but with each passing minute, they seemed to grow more desperate and became even pushier.
I told them again that I was short on time and wanted to work out. Activating a guest pass should only take a minute, and explaining the layout of the gym another minute (very simple - cardio first floor, weights second). However it was incredible the way they kept drawing it out. Eventually, they told me to my face: “you would save a lot more money if you signed up for a membership today” which is blatantly untrue. I refused and stated I wanted to try my guest pass first.
They said “what’s stopping you from signing up today?” Again I said I wanted to try my pass. Which is the whole point of a pass.
“Have you had negative experiences with gyms in the past?” “It seems like you’ve had negative experiences in the past. I’d love to hear about them.”
Eventually I got so angry my whole body started shaking. I again reiterated that the whole point of a free guest pass is that you try first before deciding to sign up.
They then hit me with “clearly you are not serious about joining the gym or your health. You should know better.” And then went on a tirade on why physical health is important.
I left the almost 30 min experience feeling wildly shaken.
Besides getting harassed, their membership prices are very strange. They have a monthly, annual, initiation, AND first and last month. It was also very crowded to the degree of seeming unsanitary.
I’ve since done some research into LA fitness - it seems they get paid by how many memberships they sell and are a corrupt business in general, which explains my experience. I am but one of many who have been their targets of harassment.

Absolutely unacceptable. Since 2024, the cold bath has been completely out of service that's over seven months. Every time I asked about it by email or in person, the response was always "we’ll repair it in a few weeks." That same vague excuse was repeated again and again until they just stopped replying altogether. Eventually, even the "under maintenance" sign disappeared.
And now, as of this week, the pool has been drained entirely. No explanation. No estimated timeline for repairs. And yet unbelievably their official website still lists “pool available” as an amenity. Is that not false advertising?

This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional customer service experiences I’ve ever dealt with.
I was going to the LA Fitness on Bundy, and it’s honestly disgusting. The gym is filthy, always smells bad, and the locker rooms are consistently dirty. Equipment rarely gets cleaned, and it’s clear hygiene isn’t a priority at this location.
So I tried to switch to another, cleaner LA Fitness location — and that’s when the next headache started.
When I asked to transfer, the guy at the front desk assured me I wouldn’t be charged anything extra. But when I went to process the switch, suddenly there was a fee. I pointed it out and the response I got was basically, “Well, of course, every gym has fees like that.” As if that somehow justified lying to my face 10 minutes earlier. Zero transparency, zero accountability.
But the absolute worst part was trying to cancel my membership.
They told me I could cancel by sending an email — and that it would be done within 24 hours. So I followed their instructions exactly. Ten days passed. Nothing. Still no confirmation. Still being charged.
I called and finally got the manager on the phone. She immediately said they never received my email (even though I had proof I sent it). She spent 45 minutes talking in circles, then suddenly put me on hold “to check something”… and never came back.
After waiting 15 minutes on hold, I called again. A different staff member picked up and casually told me, “Oh, she went on her break.” She literally left mid-conversation, without a word. Who does that? Completely unprofessional and incredibly disrespectful.
The entire experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and shady.
Between the unsanitary gym, the false promises, the surprise fees, and the absurd customer service, I would never recommend LA Fitness to anyone.

I had an outstanding experience with Aaron From start to finish, he was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed promptly. It’s rare to find such attentive and efficient support these days—truly a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend!

Women’s locker smells bad and is not cleaned Also the whirlpool and pool are not kept clean. First time took Zumba and instructor 15 min late. Gave no directions and about 7 people in class just did their own thing and complained about lack of directions by instructor. Question whether trainer is certified. Multiple complaints and staff don’t care, you joined so it’s too bad attitude.

Went early in the morning and had a great workout. As I was leaving, the ticket booth lady was not there and unfortunately they only take card or cash. I usually use Apple Pay and it’s never a problem. This wouldn’t be an issue by itself but when I called for help I was told that “there was nothing that they could do” and I was told to “find some money somehow” and then was hung up on. Very irritating honestly.

A little outdated compared to some of the other LA fitness locations I’ve been to around the country. The most annoying part, though, is that you have to pay $1 for parking. That nearly doubles your monthly gym fees if you go 20-30 times per month. They do have some of my favorite equipment though.

False advertising. Had me wait for a sales rep, then made me do a very awkward whole 15 min tour and everything and did not let me do the three day pass NOR even work out that day- he said I can pay $20 for a one day pass. Big waste of time. One person working out on a trial for one day will not kill your annual sales. As nice as they pretended to be, they were also very pushy to sell a gym membership. The pool is nice but small.

I moved to Santa Monica from NC, where I had been a member of a Planet Fitness workout center. My workout needs are simple (plenty of weight and cardio machines), and I was fortunate to find this L.A. Fitness facility within reasonable driving distance. (I was surprised to find so few workout places like this in this area; most are wellness centers with a few racks of free weights and several workout mats, with personal trainers being standard.) This L.A. Fitness is a good facility but had some radical differences from what I’d been used to, and I wanted to give a few notes for similar people coming from Planet Fitness.
The first thing you’ll notice is that they have an exclusive parking lot, which is very convenient. But be aware, it’s a pay lot. If you normally work out five days a week, be sure to add at least an extra $20/month when considering the fitness membership monthly fee.
It’s an older facility in a building that’s smaller than most places I’ve seen which provide this many workout options. This leads to a number of, primarily health, concerns. All the machines, cardio and weight, are by necessity pretty close together. If you have concerns about distancing, be aware of this. A related concern, while I saw several large ceiling vents, I’ve never heard any kind of climate control running and have never felt any air movement. While it may or may not be a health concern, it’s also noticeably warmer here than at previous workout centers I’ve been to. If you prefer cooling during your workout, be aware.
As I said, the facility and machines are old, which I don’t normally consider a problem, though some might. I haven’t yet seen any machines that were out of order, though many are worn and in disrepair. The elliptical machines have chargers for first generation iPods. Many of the machine pads are worn or loose. The floor of the weight room (on the third floor) shakes noticeably whenever anyone sets their weights down hard. (I don’t believe it’s a concern, and I’m sure it’s not something they can fix.)
Related to overall health and cleanliness, it doesn’t seem to be something either the staff nor members are concerned about. There are no rules about wiping down the machines after use, and there are no products in place to do so. No one wears masks (except for one lone janitor I saw). It’s simply not an issue here. Whether that is a concern or not is up to the individual. The men’s locker room has several sinks but only two old blowing hand dryers. There are no paper towels, though that might be a result of recycling/conservation practices in California.
Unrelated to the facility itself, L.A. Fitness has a pretty hard-sell business practice, similar in feel to car salesmen. After being shown around for the first time, I was literally asked, "is there anything stopping you from signing up today?" They also offer a number of features, such as trainers and dietary planning, which are initially free but then come at an additional fee. When I signed up, I was clear that I didn’t need those options, but was still called later that day by someone who told me they were aware I’d refused them, but tried to sell them to me again. I understand that this is their business model, so I can’t really complain.
In conclusion, coming to L.A. Fitness from Planet Fitness was a pretty big change. As I said, I’m glad to have found a facility like this, which has the things I need for daily workout, within easy driving distance from my house. But if I had another option, I don’t think I would be a member here.

Don’t even come here unless you have to.
The gym is dirty as hell, they do the bare minimum.
The manager leesha absolutely does not care and the gym is a reflection of that. Absolutely lazy staff. The bare minimum is 2 wipes per floor and one is out. Come here if you want to have a random strangers nasty sweat on the machines and the wipes are constantly out. They do not care give a better company your money.

I just want to mention the lack of ventilation. AC is never on, you keep breathing the same stale and polluted air. It never occurs to the staff to at least keep the front door opened to air the place out. Some people are sweaty and smelly and you have to deal with that. People's body generate heat (it's called kjoules) while exercising, so eventhough it may not be that hot outside, it is hot inside. I have not caught a cold in 25 years and after 7 days at the gym, I am sick. With all the airborn disease going around, I wish the owner would be more conscious about people health safety. I wonder if OSHA has any regulations about that. It's not because Air is invisible that it does not exist...

LA Fitness as a whole is pretty decent especially for what you pay, but if this is your main location there are much better options for gyms.
Paying $1 (or $1.50 if you are normal and don’t carry a bunch of $1 bills, as there is a 50% charge for using credit card) every visit for parking on top of what you already pay makes this location, which is already mediocre at best for an LA Fitness, turn into an almost $70 a month gym membership.
Additionally, the parking lot is exclusive for gym-goers, so the company is taking all the money for that. Absolutely ridiculous for what you get.

The one star is for how I was treated when coming in for a trial. This is not a review of the facilities since I was not able to try out the place. Here's the full review describing my experience: I recently visited the Santa Monica LA Fitness on Bundy Drive and, unfortunately, left feeling really disappointed. I’ve been a loyal member at the Playa Vista location for over 11 years, but since I moved nearby, I wanted to check out this gym and potentially compare it to a few others in the area.
When I arrived for a 3-day trial pass, a sales rep showed me around, which was great—I noticed several pieces of equipment they have here that Playa Vista doesn’t. However, once we returned to his desk, he started a hard sales pitch to get me to sign up on the spot before I’d even had a chance to try the facility in a real workout setting. I explained that I wasn’t ready to commit yet, but he kept pushing. Then he told me that because I was a former member at a different LA Fitness, I couldn’t have a 3-day trial here. He insisted all locations are the same, even though I pointed out the clear differences (The Playa location had an outdoor pool, basketball court, volleyball court, etc.).
Ultimately, I felt pressured and denied a trial I believe I should have been offered. I’m not sure if this is company policy or just one salesperson’s approach, but either way, it left me with a very negative impression.
Afterward, I contacted the Playa Vista location to check whether my old membership included other California LA Fitness gyms, and they confirmed that it did. They also told me I could simply reactivate my old account at my grandfathered rate of $29.99 with no annual fees. None of this was mentioned by the sales rep at the West LA location, even though he had all that information. Still no trial but at least I didn't get pulled into a new account that would have been way more money.

They need to work on their overall cleanliness of the gym. I recently found a cockroach in the shower areas and I feel that the gym should be a place that focuses on cleanliness because of all the bacterias/germs/infections that can be spread from one person to another and even more when cockroaches are involved. Their spa was recently not maintained for over a week and was closed off. Their cold plunge has also not been maintained in over three weeks and we are unable to make use of it.

Sunday morning, I mentioned to the front desk at Bundy that the men’s restroom was out of soap in the first line of handwashing stations, and the front desk mentioned that there were only male custodial staff members coming in an hour to add soap to the bathroom. By the time I left the gym two hours later, it hadn’t been refilled.
I went and used hand sanitizer located in other parts of the gym (most sanitizers and wipe stations were empty upstairs), but I’d like to name how unsanitary, especially at a gym, for this to be the case. It makes me think there could be other gym members that weren’t able to wash their hands and then went on to use equipment that everyone uses.
The maintenance in the men’s bathroom is notably much more unkept during the weekend as well. The only reason this is a 2 star instead of a 1 start review is because of the jacuzzi.

I strongly advise against visiting LA Fitness! My brother and I went for a consultation, and we were extremely disappointed. First, we were told that parking costs $1.50, even though it’s free at other fitness centers. Fine, we decided to pay, but imagine our shock when they tried to charge us $4.50 for just 24 minutes! This is absolutely outrageous.
The consultation was conducted at a terrible level: no attention, no information, complete disregard for the customer. The staff clearly has no interest in helping or providing quality service. Instead, they seem to only care about squeezing as much money out of you as possible.
It’s overpriced, the service is horrible, and it’s a total scam. If you value your time and money, stay far away from LA Fitness.

I can't believe the experience I had at your gym. I came in ready to sign up, but your staff's ridiculous policies ruined everything.
I live in California and even brought proof that my brother, who just moved here, would be staying with me. Yet, because he didn’t have a California ID, your team flat-out refused to let him try out the gym. Seriously? What kind of nonsense is that?
It's mind-boggling that you can't find a way to accommodate someone who's clearly interested in joining. This entire situation has not only wasted my time but has also made it clear that your gym doesn't care about potential members.
Thanks for nothing. I won't be coming back, and I’ll be sure to share this experience with others.

So this location has a fantastic pool area with a cold plunge and a really nice sauna. Would be an above average location, however there’s a parking scam which is really unfair. They make you pay a dollar for every three hours with validation, and initially, i tried backing up and turning around to go to another location, it has one way tire shredders on the entrance, meaning your trapped and forced to pay the parking fee. Really screwed up and I hate being forced into junk fees. The management should know better, especially for a location with bonus amenities.

Saw a cockroach in the mens locker room a few weeks ago and just had all my credit cards stolen out of a locked locker. Absolutely horrendous place.

Charging for parking at this gym is the owner’s favorite cardio. He sits next to the parking ticket validator like it’s his throne, vigilantly watching people scan and pay, it’s almost like a comedy sketch.
Membership= $30/mo
$1.5 parking x 20 days = $30/mo
My man literally doubled his revenue by doing nothing but installing a parking meter. We can all take a page from his book.

I love the pool area but the pay parking is ridiculous. It is supposed to be $1. I paid inside and got charged $12.50. The desk said to talk to the lady in the booth. That lady said she didn't know how to help me. Took her awhile to find a # for me to call. I called the number and there is no one there. RIDICULOUS!!!

You pay an initiation fee, an annual fee and a monthly and they still ask for parking. Everything is so old and dirty and broken and they don’t even care to fix it. The manager is condescending and he lied to me about the payment method when I told him that I wanted to be added to my friend’s plan instead of opening a new one (said you have to use his payment method which turned out not to be true and he just wanted to show his disappointment). Ventilation is awful and there’s only a few wipe stations so people just don’t wipe after working out.

Generally clean, medium sized facility but just completely packed as most gyms are during peak hours. Hard to use all the machines you want. What really bothers me though is the parking situation… you have to pay $1 cash after validating or $1.50 if paying with card.

Parker did an incredible job taking care of me! He deserves employee of the year: he’s friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, multitasks well, and was able to help with everything I needed.

Things break frequently and it's still missing 1 barbell but what can you really expect from a budget gym, it's ok.
