I signed up at the Menifee location with my son about two months ago. The first day I went there I met with a personal trainer for my son and he set us up for $99 a month and said I will let you know the next time I’m available. After two weeks and trying to get a hold of him through text messaging phone call I decided to go in on our typical gym day and speak to someone at the desk which they took down my number and said I will let him know about a week later no one got back to me still and I was then charged another $99 mind you I still only had one appointment for my son done and it was just an initial email. Two weeks later, we saw a new rep at the desk in which I explained to him what was going on and he said he would fix it, he did not so I contacted corporate for a refund and they told me that they are not allowed to refund Personal trainer visits even though we never receive services so I will be contacting the credit card company and requesting review on that charge. So after roughly 60 days, I decided to leave that gym and I’m going to powerhouse gym instead

Last month, I quietly entered the aerobics room with my friend to stretch as there was little space outside of the room. We did not know there was a Zumba class going until we walked in, but we went to a corner and weren't in anyone's way. The instructor, Christina L., abruptly stopped the music and loudly reprimanded us across the room, with a rude tone calling us safety hazards and demanding we leave. Everyone turned to stare, and someone even laughed. We’ve been here before and knew the room would close soon for cleaning. We were unaware of the rule of not being able to be in the room while a class is going on. We have participated in various yoga/zumba/fitness classes with LA Fitness where people were allowed to be in the room even if they were not participating in the class, so this caught us off guard. Not complaining about the rule, but it felt very embarrassing having everyone turn to us, being spoken to in such a disregarding manner, and being laughed at. A private request would’ve been fine. We are all adults and this approach felt unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome and ashamed.

Update: the place literally stinks. You know it’s too packed when you can’t step on a treadmill. No saunas or open space to work out. The classes with like 8 people kick you out of the only free space. Waste of time and money

Nice gym, but honestly, it's hot in there! Also, I'm not happy with the only 2 unisex bathrooms available for such a large gym. Most women don't want to share a bathroom with intimidating, sweaty, muscle bound men. Also, the last few times I was there, an employee was mopping the floor around me with bleach. Not great to breath while doing cardio machines. That should be off limits while people are there working out. But it is very nice inside with a great assortment of machines and free weights. Great personal training area. Swimming pool. It's a bit pricey though. Would be nice to have more diversity in the plans.

I’ve had an LA Fitness membership for many years and a few years ago initiated personal training. Loved my trainer, Porsche, and was with her for a couple years. I started having health issues plus a couple other things kept me away for 2 1/2 years.
I called the manager at the club in Menifee, Shawn, to request canceling my trainer fees. He informed me that I had accrued 35 sessions and that they were available to me whenever I’d like to use them. However, he said if I’d like to cancel, he would do that.
Shawn suggested that I come to the club and talk to him. I’m glad I did. He convinced me to not cancel and use those 35 sessions. Which I would’ve lost had I cancelled my training fee. He hooked me up with one the trainers on staff, Dominick. I’ve been training with Dominick for a month. He’s been great and I’ve lost a few pounds and am feeling much better!
I’ve worked out at many LA Fitness clubs in the IE, 2 in Riverside, 2 in Temecula, MoVal, Lake Elsinore, Hemet and Murrieta. I literally drive by an LA Fitness in Temecula and drive an additional 15 miles to Menifee.
I began working out in Menifee when it opened, about 15 years ago. For many reasons, it’s my favorite LA Fitness. I like the staff, layout, cleanliness and the vibe I feel there.

Good: I had issues with my membership, it was me who had to look for them to fix it, however Kaylee ( I’m probably spelling wrong) was very attentive and helped me very much. She was nice and willing to help me which made me feel comfortable.

I recently rejoined LA Fitness and overall am very glad I did. Everyone is different but for me I appreciate how easy it is to navigate the equipment, exercise stations, and circuits. It’s simple, straightforward and offers me easy choices on how I want my routine for the day to go. My one caveat is this new thing (to me) called machine hoarding. There were 2 rear felt/fly machines and 1 was out of service (it happens so no big deal). My issue with the 1 that was not broken is that it was on the “someone put their keys on the machine to hold their spot” deal. So I moved onto another machine and came back and guess what? A different set of keys and a cell phone were now holding the spot while this time the person was on another machine entirely. The member came over and I hoped to at least work in (she does 1 set and I do the same then trade out again), but not today. So I worked machines (for a second time) around the one I wanted until she, her keys, and her cell phone finished. Now please understand I can’t and don’t have an issue with someone working on any machine, and I even understand if someone does not want to work in due to their health concerns, but I am kind of challenged about me or anyone else having to wait behind a set of keys and a cell phone. A person yes. An inanimate object no. To me it’s like a person standing in front of an open parking space until their friend comes along to park in it. “Things that make you go hmmm”

The Menifee location is the worst LA Fitness. There is a lot that can be done to make this location better. The free weights and plates are always all over the place. It doesn’t matter what time of day, you’ll never find the weights in their proper place. This shouldn’t be the case and open hours. Why doesn’t the staff take the time to walk the gym and put everything back in its place?!! The gym equipment needs updating. This is the only location that doesn’t have platforms with bumper plates. They need more lower body strength equipment. The women are always using the smith machines for their glutes. This location has the room to expand. They have a personal training room that’s a waste of space. They have a lounge area that’s a waste of space.

Just wait for EOS to open in Menifee and this gym will have no other choice to figure it out!!

LA Fitness allows people to work there and scam folks into workout contracts by not telling them the truth regarding the contracts. Beware when you sign up for training make sure you read it because you will not be able to cancel in any circumstances unless you have a doctor note saying your disabled or you are moving; otherwise, you are stuck into paying money regardless. I was told by someone who works at the Menifee location that they would help me to cancel my contract because LA Fitness does not want unhappy people and when ready I can cancel before expiration date of contract. Well this turns out not be true and if I do it cost 50% to buy out contact and on top of that I won’t get my remaining training sessions. LA Fitness allows liars to work at their gyms so beware of liars and professional scam artist.

I want to issue a warning to those who enter the swimming pool without showering first. Despite the fact that there are shower facilities both in the locker room and inside the pool area, it’s shocking and infuriating to see people jump into the pool with sweaty, dirty bodies. Even worse, some people enter the water wearing sweat suits or regular clothes instead of proper swimwear, without showering at all. I simply cannot understand this behavior.
There should be more large signs clearly stating “Shower Before Entering the Pool” posted in multiple places. If someone is caught violating this rule, staff or even other members should step in and call them out. This kind of behavior would be unthinkable in advanced Western European countries where I moved from. Let’s all do our part to keep the pool clean and enjoyable for everyone.

This gym kinda sucks for what you pay for, the damaged equipment is an issue, the gym needs to work on replacing things faster such as treadmill issues or stair master, dumbbell weights are constantly disorganized. For 30$ or more, this membership is kinda bad. Even though everyone clowns on Planet Fitness, it is cheaper, more cleaner/organized, you have the ability to move between gyms for 25$-30$ and it is 24 hours, I consistently get out of work at 11:30 pm and I’d like the go to the gym sometimes after work.

My husband and I worked out of this gym 5 days a week. Cleanliness is not that great. The treadmills are so dirty with thick dust. I believe that this should be a daily task throughout to keep the facility clean but it’s not. Some treadmill needs to be fix, a few are not up to speed (too slow). Some ellipticals make noises when you stride. The stairs are so filthy! It looks like it hasn’t been mop for weeks. LA Fitness you can do better!

Insanely nice gym. I go to the location in Moreno Valley (Mission Grove) during the weekdays and Menifee on weekends and its night and day. The staff in Menifee are friendly, the place is kept very clean, the building is more up to date, hardly anything is out of service and the weekend classes are nice! I wish Mission Grove was half as cared for as this location!

This is the first gym membership I've had in about 20 years. The facility is clean and I go at 5 a.m. during the weekday so it is not as crowded. However on the weekends it can be a zoo and due to limited equipment can be a pain in the you know what to get on machines.

Aqua Fit Class - I just recently started attending this class in Menifee. All of the instructors are good, but there is one who rises above all. Her name is Pam Johnson. When she teaches, there is so much excitement among the participants. You come in and everyone is happy that Pam is teaching the class. She is my personal favorite for a number of reasons, but most importantly for me. She teaches outside of the water, so that you can see the moves, and effectively to them. I will continue to join the classes she teaches, because I feel her style helps me to achieve my physical goals.

I did enjoy the workout with my 3 day free pass.

However once I received the membership and went to the gym. I did not have a good experience as they had their vending machine for water down and the water dispenser/water fountain was down as well.

Not to mention there are no changing stalls, you have to change in the locker area.

Also sorry LA fitness but u claim to have deals to sign up for memberships and there are no deals. I'm not saving any money what so ever if I add a family member. I don't see the benefits.

The pool burned my eyes 👀 and I couldn't even drive home, had my mom drive me home. Idk what chemicals the pool has but obviously its not good for you at all when eyes are blood shot red and had problems seeing the rest of the day with blurring vision and burning eyes.

A fair gym with most things that most people would want. However, it's a little lacking in some areas I would enjoy. They don't have any bearing barbells for Olympic lifts and they also don't have any Barbell collars anywhere. Would also like to see more open space for general use. They have an aerobics room but it tends to be occupied by a class.

Great gym. Very clean. Lots of equipment and the employees are really nice :) but I’ve had 3 separate incidents with other women taking pictures in the locker rooms while I’m CHANGING in the back of their photos. This isn’t the gyms fault and the times I’ve told the employees about it they did as much as they could. I’d suggest putting stickers on all the mirrors that emphasize not to take pictures in the locker rooms. It should be a given, but since it keeps happening la fitness should invest on stickers/signs to put on all mirrors.

Last week me, my son, and friend went to LA Fitness Menifee to try the gym out as we were looking into the possibility of switching gyms. We had 3 day guest passes. After going through the gym tour and talking numbers, we were denied the use of the guest pass. We wasted about 35 minutes just to be told the guest passes were not valid unless we had intentions to sign up for the gym that day, and our best option was to purchase a day pass for $20 each. We were not ready to commit to a gym contract without trying out the gym machines first. I don’t understand what the point is of offering a complimentary 3 day guest pass if it is not going to be honored. I do not recall the name of the associate but they can be described as a blonde haired, pregnant female, short in stature.

Staff is friendly, it does tend to get a bit packed but thats not a reflection on the gym itself it's just one of the very few options in this town so it's bound to happen. It's pretty clean I can honestly say i very often see the staff in the restrooms and on the floor cleaning away. There are a few messes but again just an issue of the crowd not a reflection of the gym & staff. If I absolutely had to pick a complaint I'd say I feel when a machine is down it feels like it's out of commission for weeks. Which is a bummer. But aside from that it's a very pleasant gym and most all the visitors are friendly as well. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves and if you do need help I haven't had any issues flagging someone down they always seem willing to help. If you're intimidated to try the gym give this one a shot it has a very laid back vibe.

I signed up for a membership with a trainer in September ended up with severe Vertigo. And then a knee injury contacted the manager Brian several times via text message and never heard anything. Called the gym and spoke with a young lady who was very helpful. Told me I could have frozen my account six months ago for ten dollars a month. I lost hundreds of dollars. The manager Brian could have easily. Text me back but just ghosted me. So in professional I. Gave this one star, but I should have gave it zero stars if that was an option

The female at the front desk, Valeria, was rude and made me feel bad for even stepping in. She was not lovely and was glaring at me as I came in. I was on crutches and struggling and she made checking in difficult for me. I had an active and fit membership that I showed her but she would not let me work out. When I asked to see the manager, she said I could work out. I hope someone can contact me about this. We are supposed to feel welcomed when we come in, not feel we are doing YOU a favor and that we need you; you don't need or want us.

Overall decent gym if you arrive at the right time. It appears the gym is extremely small for the amount of patrons, which makes it difficult to find equipment for use. Also, it is very difficult to find a good schedule for swimming because the pool is so small (kiddie pool). I would use this gym as a last resort if there are no better options.

Manager is rude (the one with the pony tale). I came in with a week pass because my sister is a member and sent me an email to get a week pass to check out the gym. They said it was only for locals and wanted to charge me $20 dollars for the week pass which seems very weird. When the person I was talking with asked his manager I over heard the manager say well is there any way we can sell a membership? And when he said no he told him to charge me for the pass. Worth what you pay which is less than La Fitness and staff is great. Vibes are also way better too.

Just joins 4 days ago—-Clearly, owned and operated by non Fitness people… the fact that it opens at 5 AM during the week and a three hour variance on Saturday to open at 8 AM shows that they don’t understand that the body thrives on consistency in training and fitness-three hours! so, come to the gym at 5 AM on a Saturday or even six but it doesn’t open until 8 AM so that all the stay at home mom’s can come and flood the place. It’s so so clean, sure Kinda, I mean really it’s still a filthy gym overall, but clueless leaders get at least two stars for their cluelessness that goes to Management skills-so when the management reads this, remember you’re clueless one.

The only complaint I have is that when machines are down for "services" they are down for over a week. Most of the employees are super friendly and will greet you and say bye when you leave. There is no sauna or scales in this gym but there is a pool, locker rooms, showers.

Used a full 3 day guest pass and Honestly even though they have a sauna, pool and basketball court .. unless that is the equipment you are looking to utilize the most Fitness 19 has more to offer and the “vibe” feel from the staff and guess regulars has LA Fitness beat at half the price.

this gym recently hired new management and it truly was the worst thing they could’ve ever done for their establishment. the new management is disrespectful, creepy, and just straight up weird. i witnessed the new manager “Franco” harassing members in gym and talking badly about other members. it’s sad to witness but thankfully, i will NEVER workout here again.

Franco the manager was amazing! He assisted my group with their membership difficulties and wished me a happy birthday and recommended me to a few of the classes at LA Fitness. Best manager experience I’ve had at a fitness club or gym. Really a one of a kind guy; you can tell he really cares about the members of the gym and you as an individual.

They made it so hard to cancel. You can't do it over the phone and when I went in it was "oh manager not here on the weekends" then go in on a weekday and the girl at the front said "no problem I'll cancel" then I still got charged the next month.

This is a nice clean Place, my favorite class is the aqua fit, I have been disappointed that for the last two visits we didn't have a instructor. We were blessed by a member who volunteered to lead the class which is wonderful, but it seems like the facility doesn't seem to keep up with the instructors. Its too bad as this class is mostly elderly who really need this kind of exercise.

Be careful friends,!!!. Do not go to LA Fitness of HEMET, is full of drugs addiction people, you can see that ,violence ,smell it.
This Sunday the police have to be called for a crazy over doses violent guys. For this reason, No more Hemet Fitness for me and family.

Manager apologized and the child care has been a lot more attentive since with smaller ratios of kids.

Nice clean gym; HOWEVER, if you have to bring your kids to the kid's club, beware. There are sometimes 25-30 kids running around with only one or two workers. These sweet ladies are doing the absolute best they can and are very good with the kids, but there is no way babies and small toddlers can get the attention and intervention they need this way. It's utter chaos in there. My toddler is being hit regularly and though the staff try to intervene, it's just not possible to intervene as proactively as needed with that many small kids. I brought this up to the manger who was very rude, had an attitude and just said they aren't a licensed child care facility. I asked her if she could staff it more appropriately. Again, she gave me a super attitude. She said it's the LA fitness policy. So unfortunately, I guess you have to choose between staying in shape and having your kid learn bad habits. I bought this membership so my older kids could have something fun to do in the summer so this is unfortunate.

THE KIDS KLUB GIRL WAS AWESOME!!!! She was the only one in there and there were quite a few kids, that’s hard! I could tell that she really cared for my 10 month old who isn’t used to being away from me much. He was totally fine with her. The gym itself was clean, nice patrons, didn’t have to wait for equipment.

I have been using the personal training for about a month now. My trainer alma is amazing in so many ways. She is extermly formative when explaining workouts. I have never had a trainer break things down for me so much witch I appreciate it has helped my confidence so much. She truly takes the time to check I'm and work with me with my concerns

Was a member for many years in Temecula, the gym was great there, then covid.We now live in Menifee and got an email from LA Fitness. We went to the Menifee gym to inquire about the email. We were shown the entire gym by the General Manager Robert. He was very nice and very informative. He helped us get signed up and we are back with LA Fitness. We can see why Robert is the GM here, great young man.

I like the staff, love my yoga classes. The workers keep the gym clean. I see them moping and sanitizing on a consistent basis. I see people of all ages, sizes and backgrounds enjoying their workouts. This is a judge free zone w friendly employees and their equipment is the best.

Also, I've had my phone returned back to the front after my son accidentally left it behind and the socond time it fell out of my husband's pocket while working out on the bench press. I generally keep my stuff in the locker but my lock was in my car at home.

I've had a very very good experience since starting membership!
