It's a nice gym. Treadmills are limited to 20 minutes and from my experience they're programmed so. Free weights area could use with more 10 lb plates. Gym needs a little more air circulation or just colder setting. Overall, you'll meet your goals here.

This gym is dangerous I got harassed and threatened three times by the same person I brought it up to to geo the manager and staff and they ignored me and went to lunch please be careful if you get harassed call the police cause the management in this gym doesn't care for your wellbeing I been a member for over 7 years and there hasn't been such a horrible management here in this gym.. The front desk staff has always been friendly and helpful. Every time I go, the place looks clean, definitely not as bad as some reviews made it seem. Sure, some machines are a bit old, but they work well. I love the Zumba classes the instructors are full of energy and make it fun. If you’re unsure because of what you’ve read, I recommend checking it out yourself and forming your own opinion.

I’ve been going to this gym for about a year now, and honestly, things have gone downhill—especially on the weekends.

There’s barely any staff around, and the ones who are there mostly stay at the front desk, just checking people in and answering phones. No one’s doing walk-throughs or checking the bathrooms or aquatic areas regularly.

A couple of weekends ago (on 6/14), something super uncomfortable happened. A random individual entered the gym with a camera, removed his shirt, pulled his shorts up to reveal a nearly bikini-like look, and began flexing and live-streaming in the stretching area. It was weird and awkward. I just told the front desk to turn around and walked away.

Also, I don’t get why people are allowed to walk out of the locker room and onto the main floor with no shirt on. When did that become okay?

And just this past weekend, the men's locker room smelled really bad—like, intense.

Management needs to step it up, especially on the weekends. Please start enforcing the rules. Maybe put up some clear signs in both English and Spanish. It’s getting uncomfortable for a lot of us regulars.

I’ve been coming here for years! Not going to lie an idea of having a remodeling would be nice it’s due for one. But besides that I’d like to give a big Thank you to Gloria Martinez , great work on your maintenance I don’t think I’ve ever came across the women’s restroom as clean as she’s left it.I had to approach just to thank her and while I was at it I asked for her name, She’s great. You can definitely tell the difference between when someone is in it for the job or the actual care for others. So thank you again. Staff’s always been great. 💯

I usually never leave reviews but I feel strongly about the poor quality of this gym. First of all they closed the North Upland location which was much nicer, forcing me to try this location. The equipment is very typical of all LA fitness facilities so no real complaints there. The locker room is disgusting and probably hasn’t been cleaned thoroughly in a decade. The Sauna door doesn’t seal right and doesn’t get hot enough to matter at all. The Sauna itself is located on the far side away from the locker rooms and is only accessible by walking the outside of the building. Overall this gym needs a complete gut and remodel or just tear it down and don’t try to force your gym concept into a space that doesn’t fit a common sense design.

I need to vent. This is the closest LA Fitness to me, and I’ve been coming here for years. The gym is big, with plenty of equipment, an indoor pool, an indoor track, a sauna, a cold dip, and a hot tub. However, it has been declining year after year. The sauna is always broken or stuck at 165°F instead of 180°F. Broken equipment stays out of service for at least a month. There aren’t enough barbells for every bench or squat rack. The gym has cable machines from front to back, but they lack attachments—bring your own. The lower-weight dumbbells and 10-pound plates have gone missing, probably stolen by kids. Plus, kids don’t re-rack their weights, as if their moms work here to clean up after them. I wish they would teach them some gym etiquette. I will add a star if they get 4 barbells, another star if they get cable machine attachments for every station, another star if they can fix the sauna, the fifth star might be impossible - teach my fellow lifters some gym etiquette.

This LA Fitness location has a friendly staff and plenty of machines to choose from. However, there are always machines that are broken down or unavailable. The sauna and cold dip aren't always on or functional and the biggest issue is that the free weights and machine attachments are always scattered throughout the gym or cannot be found. The restrooms do have a strong odor and should probably be scrubbed more frequently.

This gym is falling apart. The cold pool has been broken since the summer with promises every time that I visit that they are just “waiting on parts”. Almost of the lockers have had their locks cut off and they look like they haven’t updated the locker rooms since the 80s. Do yourself a favor and don’t sign up at this garbage gym.

I enjoy working out and will do it under the worst conditions. But for the sake of leaving a review for my fellow fitness junkies and future members, I have to say that this one is in desperate need for remodeling. For starters, The carpet needs to go asap! It is soiled and torn to pieces. Also, the pipes and HVAC ducts above are covered in dirt. The weights are scattered throughout the gym and no one ever puts them back where they belong. Also, the restrooms always seem to be dirty. And why isn’t the QR scanner permanently placed at the front desk when checking in? Does LA Fitness really have to justify the need to have an employee there?

On a positive note, the fitness equipment does seem to be maintained fairly well. When something breaks, it’s up and running in a matter of days.

Gym members are mostly to blame for the disorder but at some point, management must do something to keep up with appearance.

Quite spacious, many different machines for all muscle groups that are not at the Upland/La Verne La Fitness that I go to which is a plus. Clean facility. I would of given it a 5 star however there was a guy walking around with a ceiling vacuum duster and literally did not concern himself with anyone around him, did not care he was dropping dust down on gym goers as they are working out under the area he is dusting. I would of knocked off multiple stars but everything else other than that was great.

Don’t come here! Their lowest plan is $30 and it doesn’t come with a guest past. The gym equipment is outdated. The color scheme in the gym is sad and depressing. The pool is in the middle of the gym with clear windows(no privacy) for everyone to walk by and see. The front desk people have no clue about their own policy and gym memberships. The worst thing for me was the sauna. It smells like an old McDonald’s playground that smells like old socks and butt. I had to cancel my membership and they still charged me $25. I’m staying at chuze fitness where they charge the same price but you can visit any location, have a guest pass, the equipment is new and always clean and their pools are clean and have privacy, they also include classes. Esporta is the 2nd worst gym I’ve ever been to!

Love the place even though it has its rough patches of machines being broken, weights missing, sauna and pool area being down, etc. Every area stays pretty busy so I understand why machines break down and all, basic wear and tear. Customer service is great for the most part, Maria at reception has great energy starting at 5am, she’s always greeting customers. Debbie from maintence always running around keeping the machines and restrooms clean. Joe the trainer is always greeting people, friendly guy. Geo always smiling and providing great customer service. Before you signing any contract, get a free 7 day pass, and make sure to check the facility if everything works and check if is clean. Even talk to members about gym problems if there is any.
Montclair CA location it’s one of the worst gyms. There is too many issues on that gym and there is so much neglecting from the administration staff.

Esporta at one time was a pretty good gym but in the last 5 months has gone downhill completely. They're cold plung has been out for over 3 months. There's sauna Now doesn't work and several machines are broken. They allow people to camp out on the machines and do nothing about it. I've complained numerous occasions no one cares I asked that my membership be canceled and they told me I had to come back during a weekday between 9:00 and 5:00. I came last Monday to get a membership. The person at front desk tells me that the membership is 0/$30 but since it was the last day of the month, he recommended me to come the following day which was the 1st of the month. He said “we will have BETTER deals tomorrow, I recommend you to come tomorrow “ so I said ok cool thanks I’ll be back tomorrow and he asked me for my phone number. The next day Tuesday, a dude named Martin sends me a text. He said the same thing “come today 1st of the month we have better deals “. I showed up and I send a text back to Martin saying I was at the front desk already, someone else showed up named Giovanni. He starts helping me out and some other guy shows up named Trevor. And he says “Hey that’s Martin client” and Giovanni says “yes, I already let Martin know” so this guy Trevor starts Messaging Martin to let him know the situation and right away Giovanni asks him what is he doing and he replied “I’m letting Martin know” and Giovanni didn’t look happy about it.
It was pretty awkward and intense hearing fight for their sale. Then Giovanni calls Martin, Martin shows up and they offer me the same deal as “Monday , the last day of the month” 0/$30 and I asked Martin “so what is the better deal of me coming in today?” And he started saying that the people at the front desk don’t know . So I got upset and I told him I’ll think about it and he got upset and left saying “ok, I’M NOT UNDER THE CLOCK RIGHT NOW SO SEE YOU LATER” very very very unprofessional! I do not recommend this place!

Edit 2023: Been in this location for roughly 8 years. It has changed over the years I been going as LA Fitness transitioned to Esporta Fitness. Then, the quality from there started dropping. Equipments were not being repaired at the ready or long overdue maintenance. Trash on the floor everywhere. They even removed the sanitary equipment cleaner for wipes! It doesn't do anything and brings more waste to the gym floor. Pins for equipment machines are missing, stolen, or damaged.

LA Fitness has the worst business practice when it comes to cancellations but this location takes the cake. In order to cancel your membership, you must do so in person so that is what I did.

Not only did they require I pay my dues to cancel, they proceeded to tell me after I charged my card that it couldn't be done that day. And that I had to come back in on Monday to "cancel"

Despite being aware that their customer base consists primarily of working individuals, Esporta inconveniently restricts cancellations to business hours from Monday to Friday, 9-5, completely disregarding the fact that many customers would have to cancel a day's worth of work simply to end their membership

Management, whether from Corporate or this location, decided to strategize on how to make this insanely difficult and awkward to cancel and to make matters worse, you have people like Martin who appear to get some perverse satisfaction from this.

Martin, who called himself the manager, apparently doesn't have the authority to cancel memberships.
How ironic? He'll take your card, charge it, send you receipts, give you the option to pause your account, but any mention of cancellation and he removes himself from being able to do so.

If you have the authority to charge a card, you should have the authority to cancel a membership.

I walked out of the gym unable to cancel and am writing this review to let others know of my experience. I urge potential customers to exercise caution before engaging with Esporta and these 2 at the front desk.

Instead, I recommend signing up with Gympass which gives you access to over 100+ gyms across Los Angeles for the same price. By doing so, you can avoid the cancellation policies set forth by ESporta and avoid yourself of this experience like the one I had today.

This place is a dump. Came here years ago, just wandered back in for a day pass. Same equipment they had a decade ago. Most of the cables are missing attachments. Poor lighting. Cable rack is rudimentary at best. 20 bucks for a day pass is trash. Not to mention the shameless rebranding attempt is pathetic.

Tons of equipment and space, downside is half the equipment is either broken or the weight pins were stolen so it's effectively broken. Nothing gets fixed in a timely manner and there is zero organization to the free weights so it's like walking through a minefield at times because nobody puts the equipment they use back or wipe it down. I got a membership specifically for therapy and recovery. With that said, I joined for the Ice plunge and suana. The ice plunge is out 7 out of 10 times that I visit. The suana is working 50% of the time that I arrive. In addition, worms were found by the pool side. I hope that management can resolve these issues. I understand that equipment and services are out from time to time. But the amount of time that these inclusions are not working properly is upsetting.

Wow very very nice. It has a cold below 40°water dip pool and when you go in there you freeze and then you go into the sauna for the jacuzzi. They have an indoor track you can run around the top. Esporta Fitness is decent due to it being a subsidiary to LA Fitness. Depending on the location it's really good. I've been to mainly Rancho Cucamonga and Montclair locations .

The staff at both front desks (need some work on customer service, not too much bit more would help) also the trainers there are good but also if your not a client I don't feel confident in asking a question if they will just brush you off (happen to me) also the trainers clients need to also pay attention to who is around them as much as the trainers. One client almost stepped on me because he wasn't paying attention even when there trainer knew I was right there before anyone was.

It's a good gym both locations. But still needs Mayne better management or just some fine tuning, nothing too serious at all.

This place is solid even when it’s packed so many free weights and machines available. Not there to socialize but do see people socializing etc so if you’re into that it’s cool too. Many gym rats too very friendly from beginners to experts. The customer service could be a hit or miss but overall better than other local gyms. Shout out to Gio he’s a great sales dude.

The place is huge. This one star is based completely off of the customer service I received at the front desk. I get it, it’s Sunday and maybe no managers are not there but it doesn’t take much to be polite. I walked in asking if la fitness members can join and she gave me a hmm, hmm answer and never looked at me. She looked so annoyed that she had to take her feet off the counter. She was a very beautiful young lady but her personality was uglier than me. Anyways beautiful location. Hire better people is my only recommendation.

I wish baileys came back they took away the steam room that sucks!! I’ve been a member since 1987 that my mom gave me for sweet 16 birthday. I’m not 51 yrs old I need to get back to exercise! my mom was paying it for for 2 yrs at $18 dollar a month.after my contract was over i pay yearly $98 still present, when than it was the holiday spa. Great memories back in the late 80’s they’d be open until 12 midnight that’s another think they should change the hours 😔😔

This is my second review about the gym(ex L.A fitness) now Sporta. Is sad because I has been going there for the las 12 years, since was Bally, and then change to L.A fitness, and now whit this new "name", I been started to move to another gym, here they don't do nothing to improve equipment ( most of the time is out of service) they have two machines and one is broken, the cleansing has become to bad, the lockers and restroom are the one's who was before. Is sad because more people come to but they still doing any change to improve. So if you have other options look for it before to get a membership here. Like I said I'm not new here, but im start thinking in going away.

Worst place ever, unsafe, sanitized equipment is non existent. Showers have musty odors, employees are sometimes nice and sometimes act like it's just a social hour, offer no acknowledgement.

New gym to try out and it was nice. The showers and sauna are pretty big, they have more space then others I’ve been to, the place is huge itself. I didn’t even get to see the entire facility. I’ll be back :)

I’ve been a happy customer of ESPORTA, MONTCLAIR for about 3 years now.
The floor and machines are ALWAYS CLEAN AND SMUDGE FREE.
The room NEVER smells musty. Something I don’t recall in any other gym.
The STAFF are ALWAYS courteous and WANT to help you with any need you may have. It is a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, but you realize that you are in a business and a certain order encompasses the floor. A quiet respect for one another and the business is always there, and it is a pleasure to spend time in ESPORTA.

I had lost my debit card and forgot to tell Esporta and make other payment arrangements. They billed my account automatically as always, and of course it “bounced.” An automatic $25.00 fee had been added and Travis so informed me in a very courteous and business manner on my next visit.

It was my fault, and Esporta had every right to debit my account the penalty fee. TRAVIS LISTENED, and although I didn’t intend to ask him, Travis reversed the fee.

THANK YOU, TRAVIS! Thank you Esporta management for the way you run your business!

Great gym, always clean and very well maintained. Offers a large variety of equipment, classes and options for whatever workout you are looking to do. Best of all is the friendly and very professional staff working there. I go pretty much every day and never have had an issue getting on a machine or had to wait to use anything. I highly recommend Esporta Fitness in Montclair

I feel the pool area should have tinted windows. A little more privacy from the people working out on the floor. It's very uncomfortable being in the pool area & having people looking in from the workout area. 🙃

It's a huge gym lots of equipment they have a muscle bar with lots of different protein shakes and green drinks my only complaint is for it to be such a big gym there should have been more staff on the floor walking around making sure things are good there was a lot of weights just laying around the gym I only seen staff in the front.

I joined online a couple days ago and had my first workout at this location today. First impression: Good vibes, not crowded, friendly staff, and the zumba instructor was awesome! Machines were open and weights were not being hoarded by guys looking at themselves in the mirror the whole time. I am happy with my decision to join. If you're considering joining this gym, I suggest you do it. Or don't. I don't want this place to get too crowded because then it may affect my experience.
