You can always catch him early in the morning, around 5 a.m., dusting off equipment, re-racking weights, and making sure the gym looks spotless before most people even start their day. He’s always positive, kind, and encouraging, the type of energy that makes you want to show up and give your best.

One morning, I lost my wallet with over $1,000 inside. Deante found it and went out of his way to return it to me immediately, not a single dollar missing. This Norco location LA is VERY dirty, not enough wipe stations, machines are broken, cushioning wore down or ripped, literal BUGS on the gym floor, the facilities are run down and disgusting, the sauna is absolutely gross do they even have a cleaning crew? Why is there TRASH in the turf area. Just gross I only go here because the sauna is hotter than Chuze otherwise I wouldn’t step foot in there. I go to the Moreno Valley LA by my work which is always so clean.

This gym is alright. It’s dying compared to Chuze which means no crowds really so that’s good. The only thing I hate about this gym is the men’s restroom.

It never smells good; in fact it’s the worst smell producing area I have ever experienced. At least port a poddys have an undertone of clean plastic no matter how disgusting it is. The bathroom at this LA fitness harkens to a miasma of primordial stench that only the wisest men could dream of in abstract. The air within is heavy and moist from the Sauna directly next to it and that mingles with the poop splatters on all the toilets. Even when it’s freshly cleaned it smells like bleach sprayed on feces. The smell has permeated into the tiles and down into the very structure of that restroom. Men will habitually leave the sauna and use the toilet barefoot; so it’s always a smell of stale feces and urine.

Honestly I don’t even blame the staff for this since they are combating this smell with bleach and cleaners when they should employ a priest or exorcist.

Worst scam ever!
I went to this gym for only 4 days and they charged me $400. They completely lied about the contract — they told me one thing, then made me sign something totally different. This place is full of scammers who trick people just to steal their money. They are dishonest, greedy, and have zero respect for their customers. I’ve been a member at LA Fitness for a while, but tonight was disappointing. A staff member named Marcel tried to kick us out of the sauna 7 minutes before closing. I completely understand that staff need to wrap things up for the night, but asking members to leave before closing time feels unprofessional and disrespectful to people paying for the full experience. If the gym closes at a certain time, we should be able to use the amenities until then — not be rushed out early.

This kind of treatment makes it feel like the priority is convenience for the staff, not the paying members. I really hope management addresses this so all members get the time they’re promised.

We are writing as members of your Norco location to formally report an incident that caused us to cancel our memberships.

During a recent visit, we brought a family member to try out the facility using a 3-day guest pass. Our guest politely declined the mandatory tour and requested that we show them around instead, as they were not comfortable with the manager conducting it. Despite this clear and reasonable request, the manager insisted that he personally give the tour, disregarding boundaries and making our guest feel extremely uncomfortable. This caused us to leave immediately.

Following this, we attempted to cancel our memberships. However, management at the Norco location repeatedly failed to answer the phone, making the process unnecessarily frustrating and unprofessional.

This experience has left us with the impression that the Norco location is poorly managed and lacks respect for both guests and members. The combination of the manager's behavior and the inaccessibility of the management team directly caused the loss of our business and has damaged our opinion of the LA Fitness brand. We expect this matter to be reviewed promptly, appropriate action to be taken, and accountability enforced.

Came for a 1 day pass from out of town. I asked the price at the counter and and the attendant said it was a $10 day pass. I agreed and signed the waver and put my credit card to the machine and the guy said " Ok and that will be $20". He argued back and forth that he said $20. Very poor customer service and not standing by your word . This was the most crowded gym I have ever been too. 15 min wait for each machine. The $20 was not worth it in any way. Stay away.

Men's sauna is not ever clean and the other sauna is constantly under maintenance. Maintenance on average takes about a week or longer for just about anything. The men's restrooms run out of toiletry supplies often but is not replenished until the end of the day. Over all its not very clean in the men's locker room area.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with LA Fitness, and I feel compelled to share it.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to cancel my membership with them, but it’s been nothing but a never-ending cycle of miscommunication and frustration. I went to my local branch to cancel, and they told me to send an email. I followed their instructions, only to receive an email back saying I needed to go to the branch again! It’s a complete runaround.

I spoke to a staff member named Farit S, who assured me that emailing would resolve the cancellation, but that turned out to be a complete lie. After waiting weeks and still being charged my monthly membership fee, I received another email from someone named Koll, telling me they couldn’t cancel the membership via email after all. So now I’m stuck paying for a service I’m not using, and nobody is taking responsibility for the lack of help or clear communication.

This is beyond frustrating, and I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. I’ve tried multiple times to resolve this, and each time I’m either redirected or given false information. If you're considering joining LA Fitness, I would highly recommend thinking twice, as the customer service and support have been nothing short of terrible.

I started a couple days ago and going into a place I've never been to, I felt way too out of place. I sucked it up and went anyways. The guy I had helping me names Alec was the one helping me. He knew I haven't worked out in a long time, but he still motivated me to keep pushing and it was only my first day. Although I've been busy and haven't been able to go as often as I should he still check in to make sure I'll be able to make it. All around a nice place, clean, friendly people and workers. In town for a soccer tournament tried a workout here. Was pretty full and good energy but no problem getting on stations I needed. This is the best physical layout of a gym in the area, with a good amount of clean equipment. Points to note:
1. An employee here used my credit card fraudulently and had the nerve to call me afterward to say it was an accident. I reported to the manager and he didn't apologize nor reassure me in the safety of my information. NOT OKAY. This employee no longer works here. This was about a year ago and that employee no longer works there.
2. Staff are kind and much higher quality than in the past think.
3. This gym is always packed. Equipment is clean but you won't get on it if you come after work hours.
4. Hours are fine.
5. You can only truly cancel through snail mail.

Love going to the gym because it’s around the corner from my house. My major concern is that workers seem to not care about the job. One male worker started mopping around me while I was on a machine and pushed my water jug out of the way with the mop. Then proceeded to leave the cleaning cart in the middle of the walk way for 30 minutes to go to the front desk to talk with coworkers and patrons coming in.

To top it off he left a wet floor with no caution wet floor sign unattended.

Great weightlifting gym. Large footprint. Variety of machines. More racks than most gyms. Several deadlift platforms. Landmine setups. And a variety of barbell types & plate types which was awesome.

Friendly helpful front desk. Lively social environment. LA Fitnesses can get super busy, and that means inconsiderate people leaving dumbbells everywhere, but that's true for most inexpensive large gym chains.

This review is specific to the Norco location. My mom and I went for a class today. My mom has been a member for 20+ years. For the classes, the app & every other LA Fitness has the right equipment for the class such as mats, 2, 5 and 7.5 lbs weights.

This location does not provide mats or fully stock these weights. If you do classes at this location, try to bring your own yoga mat & heavier weights (but - you shouldn't have to!)

Despite the numerous complaints my mom & instructors have told the front desk, management has yet to remedy this situation about (1)providing enough weights for the classes (2) providing any mats (3) more instructors/classes. I'd understand if other La Fitness locations nationwide were the same. However, it's only the Norco location that doesn't have the right equipment. Go to riverside or south corona locations... if that's an option.
