Gym used to be good now it’s going downhill. Been coming to this gym since it first opened in 2018. As of October 2025 I can say it is no longer a good choice. Can’t have a gym bag at the gym with you anymore, basketball court got demolished to expand the weight room, construction is going on while gym is still open and squat racks are missing until gym is complete.

This is the most clean gym I have visited. They fix their damage equipments very quickly. The staff "Francisco" is always very helpful. He has so much knowledge to share with everyone. He always goes extra miles as well to help me with everything including nutrition. I highly recommend this place.

One of the nicest gym I have been to, in terms of cleanliness, lighting and maintenance.. kudos to the cleaning staff, and the manager who maintains it so.

I also had a good person training experience with Marisela. She’s very knowledgeable.

Only issue I faced was that there were some staff members were not honest in terms of contract and made it difficult. Be careful when you sign up for long term contracts for PT.

Had an encounter with the GM Andres he was rude to me and my brother and my girlfriend. I had brought them in as my guest but didn’t realize I couldn’t bring in 2 people just 1 but the lady in the front said it’s okay just for today. Mind you I just got my pass last month and haven’t brought in a guest before. We go to start working out and that’s when Andres comes up to us with attitude asking us to leave. I understand the policy but we had already gotten the okay from the front. On top on that being rude for no apparent reason. Just uncalled for. I will not be returning.

So disrespectful to me and my dad. My dad has had a membership for years. I was given a trial so we both went in person to activate it. Oh my god the worker was so so rude to us. Spoke to me condescending and repeated questions with attitude. Something along the lines of “I’m just asking…that’s all I’m saying,” with the rudest tone. Idk if its because I don’t look like a body builder that he didn’t take me seriously but I was genuinely considering a membership.

The Best Gym in the Area!
This LA Fitness location truly stands out as the best in the area, especially if you're a morning person. It's always shiny and incredibly clean, a testament to the hard work of the staff. A special shout-out to the cleaning lady – her dedication ensures the facility, including the restrooms, are spotless (a refreshing change compared to other LA Fitness locations!).
Mornings here are fantastic because it's never too crowded. You can easily get through your workout at your own pace without having to wait for equipment. Additionally, the girl at the front desk is consistently helpful and kind, always greeting members with a smile.
Kudos to the entire staff for making this such a pleasant and effective place to work out!

The main area is spacious and well-equipped with a wide range of machines, complemented by a basketball court. This gym has a nice study area im where you can prop out your laptop and work for a bit before or after your workout

Smaller La Fitness than normal. Gym is newer with newer treadmill and elliptical machines. However the machines are very basic don’t have easy to read display and the phone holder is at the bottom of the display making it hard to watch a show while working out.
Gym was pretty crowded especially for being smaller it felt cramped everywhere. There was no stretching or cool down mats. I had to stretch and warm up on the cross for grass hoping someone didn’t flip a tire on me or take me out pulling a sled!
The Music is pretty loud, I had trouble hearing my my show while using the elliptical and treadmill.
Locker room was clean and newer. Nice wide benches to sort out your clothes and whatnot. Showers were clean and working nothing special really.
I was totally disappointed with No Jacuzzi and No Sauna. I also feel like they wasted too much space on the Hit training area. I was at the gym for 3 hours and they never had any classes or training going on.
Newer gym but missing normal amenities I am used to. Music was too loud and way too cramped. Won’t be back to this gym.

I like LA Fitness; I also have other memberships. I would like to visit the Norwalk location more often because it is less crowded. However, I now understand why the Norwalk gym lacks, they don't provide a sauna or steam room. Also, they have great instructors, but they hold classes in the basketball court. That really sucks because there are no mirrors to check posture. The microphone also echoes in that type of room, making the instructors difficult to understand. Therefore, there are no mirrors, and the sound system is poor.

Positives: for the most part they maintain equipment up and running

Not so positives: they are cheap, no lights on 40% of gym...bad leadership/management; time is precious for some of us, they do not enforce rules/common sense; weights scattered everywhere, jerks dropping weights, potentially damaging equipment; ignorant people shouting foul language...rude and unconsiderate people chilling on their phone watching movies while people waiting on equipment/weights. I really love coming to this gym! It’s always so clean and tidy, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. There are plenty of machines so if you do come during peak hours you don’t typically have to wait too long to use a machine. I really appreciate the warm welcome the staff gives when you walk in through the door, and that the locker room, restrooms, and showers are always very clean!

Place is okay but the manager is RUDE. Eddie treats his customers terrible even those who pay to have trainings there. I do not recommend this gym. He has been rude multiple times to my mom who workouts with her trainer there. The trainer,Marcos, is great! His professionalism is way better than the manager. Ricky has also been extremely helpful. I do not recommend coming to this gym. Find another one.

Update: on February 6 I called the ESPORTA in Norwalk to cancel the personal training session I have been paying for. I was told by the general manager (Eddie Luevano ) the refund was processed. Two weeks later I had not received my refund despite being assured it was processed. I called Esporta Norwalk again and spoke to a different manager named Ricky Fernandez, because Eddie, the manager in charge of training was out on leave. He shared no refund had been processed thus resulting in two weeks of my time wasted. Not to mention the interest being charge on my credit for the incorrect charge placed. Ricky assured he had processed the refund to corporate. Three weeks later nothing has been refunded. It is now March 21st and I originally cancelled the training Feb 5 as noted on the screenshot of the email below. I will be filing a claim with the better business bureau for essentially scamming me of my money, neglecting my return. Do not give your business to this gym/company. Even at their corporate level, they are careless. I spoke to Chase, a membership service provider, and he did not want to help me out despite the managers making the mistake. Now I have to jump through hoops to prove their mistake because 320 dollars is way too much to let this company keep because they messed up.

Edit on Dec 4 2023: This gym has made a COMPLETE turnaround since my post & is under great management & staff. When the water ran cold here, I notified the ones in charge & they had that fixed the following morning. Amazing work! 👏🏾

Only gripe now is they could use better cleaning in the evening. The OG clearner in the morning is the BEST & there's not a single dirty spot but they need a couple more janitors like him, even though they're not easy to find.

Edit around 2022: This USED to be a great gym. I stopped coming here for a good 6 months & when I came back, so much has changed. A lot of the great staff members have left & with so much turnover, as well as a few negative interactions I've had with some workers here, I'm convinced it's the worst staff I've experienced so far at an LA fitness location. The quality of the gym has decreased as well:

They have two broken water fill machines (one in the swimming pool room, the other on the left, next to the basketball court) that haven't been fixed for MONTHS despite notifying the manager about it.

They put a back workout mechanism (See pictures) in an inconvenient location to pull weights in & out because of a reinforcement beam in the middle (a problem that can be easily fixed by swapping places with the other back mechanism next to it, which wouldn't have that issue (told a sales rep about this).

Not to mention a young service desk worker who couldn't get her eyes off her phone for 10 seconds to realize I stepped out the gym just to get my basketball out my car but found it to be a convenient excuse to accuse me of not scanning as she was "there all day & hasn't seen me walking in at all" after I've been here for two hours.

I told her that I've been here & if she isn't sure, to find the operations manager & instead she sent a sales rep who "acted" as the operations manager, only to show aggression towards me & an ultimatum to "either walk all the way back to the front desk & scan or leave." Didn't even have the decency to consult with the actual operations manager before playing bodyguard to make sure I left.

They don't care about the people who workout here. They got no respect or the best interest for anything or anyone other than getting your John Hancock & collecting their paycheck. I'm really fed up with this place.

This gym had two op manager turnarounds and since they left, it hasn't been the same since. A damn shame really, since I enjoyed the environment this place once had. It was special. They were supposed to go 24/7 before covid but they don't have any excuse now since both Crunch & Planet Fitness have been doing it since last year.

Might just let my membership run out with them, I no longer see any benefits on being with LA/Esporta fitness anymore.

Don't sign up with Esporta, they will lie to you to just get a membership. I signup and was told by the Representative that I have access to the gym using my son membership. They will take a picture of both us and will be added to the profile.
Today, I got denied and was told that I don't have access and that my son has to be with me. I explained to the GM Mario that I have access when verbally by the representative when signing up and have picture on the profile; which he lied that I didn't have picture on the profile. Another person went to the profile and said that I do have a picture and explained the situation again, but I still didn't have access to the unless I signup with another account or cancel my son account.
This is UNSAT, lied, and false advertisement! Since they give me a false verbally agreement, they ask me if I wanted to cancel my son account. Which i declined due to my son play sports in school! What a SCAM! 0 star

Edited review: They've had new staff members come in as well as a new manager since my last review 6 months ago. Everything is a lot more organized and the staff actually greets/goodbyes the patrons. I noticed around 4pm everyday all staff picks up and organizes the weights scattered on the training green and weight area. Any unracked weights are mostly the gym rats that are messy. I complimented them personally because this doesn't happen much at other gyms.

I like this gym but lately I feel like staff isn't caring too much. I know people should re-rack weights as common courtesy but I hardly ever see staff placing them back. It takes forever to find the ones you want and for some reason there aren't enough 10 pound barbell weights. I hope they develop some system to keep things better organized

Go to another Esporta or LA Fitness as this one is a major disappointment. There r no saunas or whirlpools at this location. Every member I talk to complains of this.

The weight machines are very limited and disorganized. Other locations have a wide variety of equipment and are very organized so you know which location to go tonight away. Here you have to wander around until you find the machine you want.

There is only one disabled shower in the women's locker room and nodisabled ppl r always using it. So if you truly need this one good luck.

They do have a sitting area so you can watch TV while u wit which is a waste of space. Use this area for more machines or saunas.

They have a basketball court but I have only observed 1 person using it. Once again use it for machines or sauna and whirlpool.

Parking is limited as so many businesses share this parking lot. Very difficult exitingand entering facility as it is on 2 busy streets.

There r many separate rooms for different things and some of them aren't workout related.waste of space. Once again saunas or whirlpool.

Great gym overall, I prefer to come here over the one by my house because its lot bigger and has far more machines to use. The only reason I will be giving it 1 star is because there is an instructor in the Aerobics room around 7pm that holds a class and for some reason needs to keep the doors to the room wide open with blasting music that really interrupts my workout even with my headphones on. I have tried to close the doors twice but she just sends someone to open them with complete disregard for other peoples workouts. I don’t know if I will continue to come here if this continues.

Operations manager needs to go. Ever since she took over, this 5 star gym has fallen under. Not overnight, but it definitely has fallen from opening day pristine conditions.

It started off when the really friendly workers started to leave one by one. Next, she hires a bunch of teenagers who lack the professionalism when dealing with members (had experienced as well as seen some of these female workers acting inappropriate & immature during closing time, like yelling "get out" & looking down on their phones while at the front desk).

And on top of that, the facility is turning into a dump. They had great janitors here who cleaned EVERY DAY but since they left too, the showers haven't been cleaned daily as well as the restrooms, & not to mention the water machine has been broken for MONTHS on one side.

I give zero stars. This place has to have class action lawsuit in its future. Just watch what happens. You cannot cancel your account online or by calling them for a reason. The idea of billing people during COVID, WOW. Sad.

Ive been going to this gym for a few months now.
Pros: This gym is a huge upgrade from what I'm used too. Lots of weights, benches, racks, and machines for you to choose from. I always get a great workout in, and the spin classes on Mondays and Wednesdays are amazing. The pool is pretty nice too, the water isn't freezing cold. Always clean
Cons: It does get a little busy after 5pm, so I just go in the morning. The dumbells are always unorganized, but still doesn't take away from my overall good experiences. If you do the free personal assessment, afterwards they'll try to convince you to do personal training, I stood my ground and said no. If you do personal training you are under contract for (at the shortest amount) 4 (or 3 months i dont really remember) months. If you quit early you still have to pay for the rest of the time you didn't do.
Summary: great gym, personal training is a no for me

Hours are not that great if you try to go late in the day. However, they said eventually they will go 24 hours. Who knows when that will happen.

This gym recently got another new manager named Michelle. She used to work at the rancho Cucamonga location and I had a bad personal experience with her she got attitude and rude. In my opinion just go at your own risk

If I could give this "gym" a zero I would!!! What horrible customer service from corporate to this actual gym location. The personal training classes are garbage. These so called personal trainers have no knowledge whatsoever on nutrition let alone client support. The personal trainer manager does a great job at luring you into their "amazing" classes where he promises you will get the support and a nutrition/workout guide when you sign up. All LIES!!! These classes are way over priced and the cancelation policy is a nightmare. I called corporate so many times in hopes of canceling and it literally took me about 2 weeks to cancel. To cancel your membership you have to come in on the managers working hours and you have to do it in person. You cannot do it over the phone...how pathetic is that?!?! The staff here has no idea what the heck they are doing. The only thing they know what to do is scan you in. Everything about this place is just Terrible. You shouldn't have to go through all of the hassle if "helping you reach your goals" is their number one priority.

I got a membership that can take a guest but the problem is they always have to sign in and put there info down and then they calm them to sell them a membership. What is the point of my paying for a membership if they always calling the guest that I take to work out. Then it take like 5 minutes cause they ask for proof of ID and all this other information. This was never mentioned when I got the membership. LA fitness to be doing that. Might consider canceling this membership and and going somewhere else.

4 stars only bc they don't have a sauna

First time at this location, I jump from gym to gym checking out the kids clubs as my son is on the spectrum and it's extremely difficult to leave him with someone that may not understand his needs. This is the first gym that had someone knowledgeable with ASD! I was so thrilled to pick up my son and see him with a smile, huge plus for us we'll definitely be back, thank you Alyssa you are wonderful. As for the gym plenty of machines, I did not have to wait long at all. The gym looked nice and clean, bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful.

Great place and really clean with the cleaning lady always cleaning! However a few more sanitation stations would be great! As for the crew they need to stop advertising the new extended hours coming soon, what a joke! This place is always crowded do to the limited schedule, just horrible!!!

This place is a joke when trying to cancel your membership. Every time I try to cancel with Tracy, the one who cancels the memberships, they always say she is always “busy” or on a “conference call” everyday. This staff is a joke. Lastly the hours are trash as I only signed up because it’s going to be “24 hours”.

Clean place, plenty of dumbbells under 30lbs, clean restrooms, all equipment in working order and if they break down they are repaired quickly, most of the staff is very friendly-weekend hours could be extended a little- Great energy all the cardio machines and stationary bikes are in working order which is amazing.

You can get a decent workout here. The biggest issue is that NONE of the dumbbells are where they should be. It's ridiculous how much time I and others waste searching up and down for dumbbells just to find out that someone else is using them. This is not difficult to fix

They need to fix the closing hours on Fri-Sun gym closes way to early…..

Also they were promoting a 24/7 gym… about a year ago with banners till this day nothing has come close to those hours they advertised.

Bad policies. Make sure you are certain about the type of membership you get. Can’t cancel the membership easily or upgrade membership without repaying an annual fee and opening a new account. And that’s the only way to change memberships… Completely useless experience with the employees since no one can even do anything except check ins, only their manager can change the accounts. So forces me to come during their manager’s hours, to work around their policy.

The pools are kept at freezing temperatures and I have tried to communicate this but they don't get it. I give one star because I primarily use the pool only to rehabilitate myself and I give another star because at least the showers have warm water. It is very doubtful the management will read any reviews either because they don't care about feedback. Take your money elsewhere.

It's cool but the employee's need to do their job's better. Like walk around making sure that the weights are in place not in the working out areas of the gym that customers leave around. All I know is when it was L.A. Fitness all employee's were always active walking around greeting all the customers asking them if you needed help or putting back the weights in their place. How I miss the original crewmembers.
