If you're planning to cancel your membership here I suggest you stay on top of it. This was my first gym I worked out for 3-4 years. I've been respectful, had no problems so far. Until I wanted out. June 1 2025, Sunday. I walked in to cancel my membership. They said I should come back during the weekdays cause that's when the manager is present until 6pm so I went back the next day and approached this lady at the front desk. Assuming she was the manager since she issued my request. Gave her all the info needed. She even asked why. I answered. Done... A month passes and I still get charged so I called again. Talked to this dude and said he'll give the manager a follow up. Please note that I stopped going cause I started coaching my friends at 24hr fitness. So I'm also getting my work out done. I still payed them over several months without showing up. And so another month passes by I still haven't got my refund. I called in and now they said I'm only getting a refund for July cause there were no records of me cancelling my membership and if I want to fight for that month of June I have to make a call customer service. Another month comes and still no refund for the month of July. I was really frustrated. So I decided they can keep the money since they're so desperate for it. Though I'm gonna expose you guys as a bunch of greedy individuals who should find a different line of work. Thankyou for teaching me this lesson. I'm gonna start taking pictures and asking names next time.

Been lifting for years and love a dark and dingy gym more than the nice bougie ones, but this place... eh... Zero gym etiquette. Maybe the graffiti in the bathroom, smell of weed, and cars with $2 exhaust chops out front does represent the crowd.

I really like going here, but several times now classes have been canceled due to the speaker system not working and the ac is supposedly broken too which makes the room like a sauna and could be potentially dangerous as it gets very hot and no ventilation. Luckily the instructors have been bringing their own Bluetooth speaker to improvise. I really love the zumba classes, hopefully they can resolve this issue soon.

Esporta....Good gym except "the music is SO LoUD" you can't hear your own music from your own ear buds. My guess if you took in a decimal meter it would be near a health risk. I have talked to the manager about it in detail but No changes. Apparently the manager does t care or is forced to do it. I visit the la fitness at Montalvo and NO loud music. The music is the same constant music which honestly for lack of a better word sucks! I have accidentally gone in without my ear buds and on hearing their loud music immediately drive home to get my ear buds. Music should complement your workout not dominate it!

It’s a gym in a shopping center, parking gets crazy during peak hours. Huge facility with a sea of equipment and members. The pricing isn’t bad for what it is. I’d give 5 stars but I think the maintenance of the equipment could be a little better. Otherwise the staff are great and I appreciate how clean everything is.

Just joined the gym before my trial pass ended. I liked it enough to just sign on. Transferred from 24hr fitness. Price is so much better. Depending on time you choose. Seems relaxing. Never have to wait much for a machine. Good vibes. If your looking for a gym without the grunting and shouting. Esporta is the spot. Annamarie was super helpful, informative and welcoming.

New member. Facilities seem nice but most members seem to lack a basic understanding of gym etiquette. You cannot get on equipment .... because people just sit there on their phones. They also place their water bottle, towel or bag to 'save' equipment as they go back and forth between two machines. Because I can't get on machines due to their phone use, I go to free weight area but can't find any barbells or matching dumbbells because people walked off with them. Many times my only option is to do cardio—as there are lots of options for that. I'll make another pass around the gym after cardio and nope, still can't work out... I've literally never seen so many people at a gym sitting on equipment staring at their phones. It's not like they are looking at a fitness app either... they are texting and just sitting there. Not sure if this gym will work out for me. I'll give it some more time but it's been pretty frustrating so far.

The gym is pretty dope and I’d rank it higher but I just can’t get over just how bad this place is with their dumbell issue and cable machine attachment issues. The dumbells are not policed at all and you’ll never find what you need. Why? Because the gym members here are some of the most inconsiderate members you’ll ever meet. These gym members and staff are exhausted trying to manage all of the dumbells people walk off with. Nobody here cares about dumbell organization at all. (See attached photo) The other issue I have is also with people taking all the cable attachments to the training area so there’s a slew of machines available but good luck if you’re looking for ropes. Otherwise this is a solid gym with plenty of machines (although the are deteriorating quickly and not being fixed) but generally are in good condition, great clean pool, and nice gym lockers. However, again it’s just a free for all with free weights that you won’t find at other places like Gold’s Gym but I don’t know how you can fix a systemic issue rooted within the community that goes here because they just do not having enough respect for others.

The gym is ok. The patrons all wear black and grey and give you dirty looks but thats ok. The machines are outdated and broken half the time. The weights are never racked in the right place or even racked at all. The pool is dinky.

But it's a gym and you can get your swoll on or shoot some hoops so thats good enough.

Roomy with a lot of equipment. There are some duplicates of lifting machines, which is not true of most gyms. They have a pool for laps and exercise classes. There is a basketball court. The spaces for exercise classes and personal training are large.

I just joined. This review is to rate experience of the sign up process. We paid in full for 3 years. Both my husband and I received a tour of the facility. Lourdes was very nice and explained the different alternatives. She earned 5 stars for friendliness and helpfulness. After signing up an initial evaluation was done.
We have belonged to multiple gyms during our lifetime. Bally's, Total Woman, and LA Fitness. And every single time we have joined after sign up we have bee. Offered a free session on how to use the machines. (Hence the reason for the 4 stars). More to come as we start on our first 90 days.

Had to cancel my membership because shipping off to university, but my time here was well spent. The equipment was quite up to par, with many machines that weren’t at other “higher quality” gyms. They even have a great lap pool and shower facilities. Gym equipment is fairly new but in rough shape. People steal cable attatchments. Zero integrity for putting things back. Always taking bars from free weight area and never returning them. Dumbells never in the correct place. People doing stepups on the benches where you place your head and not cleaning the bench after. I recommend instead of music videos that they make a gym etiquette video and leave that on 24/7. Staff are nice and when approached they will handle any situation but sometimes a little more attention and confrontation when they see someone doing something they shouldnt, would go a long way. Love seeing people get thier lift on, hate for the gym to get a bad rep. ONE LOVE

My husband & I checked this gym out today through our Active & Fit membership. This review reflects both of our input.
Steven at the front desk who got us all signed up was super helpful & attentive. He & another staff member were also reracking plates & equipment that other members did not put away after using. The turf area in particular had a lot of plates, bars, steps, etc that I noticed were not put away after members had used them.
Overall, this is a decent family gym / beginner gym with lots of machines & cardio equipment. If you’re a serious / long time lifter, you might not have the best workout here. We each were doing our separate leg days & had to wait a good bit on equipment & just space to work / make due with what was available. Even though there were two leg press machines, the foot platforms a bit small & angled in a way that causes a lot of ankle flexion. Even with adjusting the back rest, it can be a bit awkward or off for the exact foot placement & ROM you may need. The leg extensions have a swiveling foot pad, so another thing that may be awkward is the pad is moving up & down your shin as you extend. I needed a yoga pad & asked the front desk where I could find them, & they told me to check the Aerobics Class room. While I had the yoga pad beside me & was setting up to start, one of the class instructors came over & took it. I told her I was using it; however, she told me that she needed it for her upcoming class, & that people in the gym always take them & then she does not have any for her class. When I asked the front desk if there were any other areas to check for mats, Steven was luckily able to lend me one from the lost & found. Looking into the class, I was able to see that at least half the class members had to bring their own mats.
We both concluded that maybe for an upper body day or quick workout (if it isn’t crowded), this gym would work for most. It’s unfortunate that it seems like you may have to bring a lot of your own things (yoga mat, BB pad, bands, etc); members may not be the best about putting the equipment they use away; there are not many disinfecting stations in frequent & convenient areas (noticed a lot of members not wiping things down before & after use possibly just because of this).
The locker rooms were large & clean. Did not have any issues finding an open locker to use. Steven was awesome, very helpful especially in lending me the mat & a BB pad as well.

Overall the gym is good and staff is decent but a good majority of the machines keep breaking down and need constant repairs. I also had a very negative experience after speaking with a former employee about possibly taking on a personal trainer to help with my workouts. I signed the paper work and specifically told this employee NOT to process the papers until they spoke to me again at a specific date to make sure I had the financial means to pay for it, which I unfortunately did not. They processed the papers anyway & just left me a message but did not get my verbal approval, which should have been noted to anyone looking at my paperwork at the time but to my dismay was not. I spoke to staff members three times about this and asked for a refund of the $98 that were charged on my card for the service I didn’t approve in the first place. A staff member cancelled all further charges except my regular membership but I was not reimbursed the $98 dollars they charged the first time. They basically stole from me and I haven’t heard anything about a refund in weeks. If the gym itself wasn’t so conveniently close to my house I would have definitely gone back to Planet Fitness. If you choose this gym to attend just be careful what documents you sign and don’t take their word on anything they say.

The gym is always clean and staff is always very polite and helpful. However, I only get a limited time a week to workout and play basketball which is important to my mental health. Everytime I am at the gym playing ball the cleaning crew always kicks me out to sweep and mop. You'd think they would take an opportunity to clean it when no one is in there. But it is a common theme every single morning and it is very frustrating. I hope that by posting this review they will make adjustments to the court cleaning schedule.

I attend the Silver Sneakers class regularly. Mayumi ("Micki") is the caring and careful instructor. The other staff are very welcoming and the rest rooms and pool are clean.

Parking is easy in the morning. I have never gone at night, but noticed it is busier then per Google.

The cleaning team does an amazing job at keeping the gym and bathrooms clean. The other staff at the reception and management don't do anything other than gossip. The free weights are always all over the place and it's getting harder to actually train. It is filled with teenagers who just huddle up in a few equipment's and talk or they are their phones not utilizing the exercise machines at all. The gym has no business structure at all.

The gym is big and definitely has the specific machines for each muscle group, I like that it has different areas, the cycling area is never crowded, there is always an opportunity to use it, the zumba area too, so people use it for stretching, abdomen exercises or simply doing some exercises isolated from people and noise.

The only negative is that there are too many people and as in all gyms: not everyone is focused, many are just wasting time on machines or benches, many others are very dirty, but that is independent of the gym, the personal is constantly cleaning and tidying up what users leave.

In general, I do recommend this gym as long as you don't go at peak hours.

The gym itself is clean but HORRIBLE management. I sighed up for a personal trainer and i only had 1 week where i met with a trainer. After that week i was moved to a different trainer and we had 1 session till he completely ignored my messages for a month. I payed about 123 dollars for a moth and i only worked out 2 times. Got no compensation or anything. Also tried to chancel a membership but they kept charging me for about 4 moths. I also recently went and canceled completely but I get a call saying I owe Money? Horrible horrible management!!!! If you do end up getting a membership get everyone’s you speak with info and paper confirmations.

Recomendé a una amiga a agarrar la membresía de este Gimnasio, era su primera vez en el Gym y la persona que le atendió en ventas en la membresía se porto con una ética poco profesional casi obligándola a que se pesara y se tomara su grasa corporal(cosa que ella no quería hacer) además de usar términos pocos profesionales sin saber cual ha sido su recorrido para querer mejorar su salud, honestamente está persona se porto con poca humanidad sin tomar en cuenta que ella solo quería agarrar la membresía y entrar al gimnasio y ya. Aunque quizá su objetivo era ayudarla, le falta muchísimo humanismo y profesionalismo, le presumió sus estudios y la licencia que tiene, pero de nada sirve si no tiene humanismo, somos personas, no máquinas… no para toda la gente es fácil estar en un gimnasio! No se cual es el nombre de la persona que le ayudo pero es una de piel blanca con el pelo rubio! 👎

Went there everyday, sometimes twice! The staff and everyone who plays basketball there knows me. Would even pay for & install bran new nets for them whenever the old ones would rip. Do not join this gym if you're looking to swim, regardless of multiple complaints, the water is still too cold and neither the manager or the corporate office seem to care. They get upset if you even mention the water temperature, therefore you see very few people using the pool. BBB should be notified.

I mean honestly, it's a gym, they've been around for decades, there are germs as there is in grocery stores, if you're so scared to be in an environment like this then maybe you shouldn't go to the gym at all. Pretty good. A lot of nice fairly new equipment. Fees not too bad. One big issue is that many members do not honor the mask mandate indoors . I would very much like to see them do a better job of getting members to understand the importance of this.

Ever since I came to this gym I fell in love with it. This gym is always really clean and I always see Mayra working really hard to keep this gym as clean as possible. Overall everyone’s really nice and the vibe here is really amazing.

I joined this Gym because of the pool classes but the temperature of the water is freezing, Everyone in the pool was complaining but the staff said they couldn’t do anything so I quit and went to another gym

Love the atmosphere and the equipment are well spread throughout the gym. So your not crowded on. It's a wonderful thing being vaccinated and not have to worry about anything at all!
Go get yours and you will be able to "exhale"

Very disappointing. Tons of great equipment and a ton of potential but thats it. The dumbell rack was in no sort of order at all. Pairs of dumbells weren't even together nevermind the dumbells being in chronological order. Bathroom lockerroom area also clearly not regularly cleaned. Papertowels/toilet paper all over the floor. Could be a great place if it is taken care of a bit more

This place is perfect especially on weekdays it's so clean Mayra and Juan are doing a spectacular job in keeping everything clean they are so friendly and helpful, the whole staff is awesome and friendly from when your walk in anytime if the day.

LA Fitness family of clubs are nice with nice pools. Simply not comfy with rules being relaxed so soon. Enclosed areas like locker rooms and using showers are breeding ground for a pandemic that we are hardly even through let alone reaching her immunity and mutations of the virus. With the entire state relaxing a lot of restrictions June 1st it's just scary,
