In my opinion, this is a huge facility and a lot better than EOS, and the dump (24 Hour Fitness on Chapman in Orange.)

Although the place is huge, there is plenty of unused spaces that is not utilized properly.

They only have one standing calf raise equipment and could use a seated calf raise as well. They have one abdominal/torso rotation machine, and could use one more. They also only have one bench press machine, and there is a big wait for it. I wish they could had a second.

The area of treadmills and ellipticals looks empty and industrial feel to it. The area of stationary bikes is worse. Those bikes are hardly used.

As with other gyms, there is no sign that limit use of non-treadmill equipment to 20 minutes, or any big sign asking members to respect other members' time and limit their use of cellphone AFTER EVERY SET. I see members spend more time using their phones than using the equipment they are occupying. When the equipment is limited, this creates resentment among other members waiting to use the limited equipment.

The showers are used excessively by some who may not have a shower at home, or to save water at home.

This location is by far the worst. Ever since the block at Orange closed down I was forced to come here . For months on end no matter how many times I report it to the staff?? They always say the janitor is not coming in till 2:00 pm . Mind you there’s over 5 employees at a time working on the weekends. Why can’t any of them do restroom checks every hour ?? Instead of being on their phones looking bothered . The fact that I have to bring in my own toilet paper??? Knowing I’m paying money for the amenities I should be provided with . Again they open at 8am , 5 hours with no clean up in the bathrooms and no toilet paper .

Five stars just for the boxing ring. Needs to be fixed though, also great personal training staff. I don't stick around for the showers. Glad I made a deal with the manager to be able to bring my kid up to the boxing ring and have a private mma coach come in using my double guest pass. The only issue I have is how much it costs to have a multi pass with two guests on your account. And this gym specifically just fixing up the boxing ring a little bit. Came from EOS across the street, if this place didn't have a boxing ring I'd just go back to EoS. It's never packed nut to butt probably due to the price. However, I could just go to a different LA Fitness if that was the case.

I have bagged and begged management to fix the TVs so that you can actually watch the news and listen to the news and hear the news and they continue to not fix them. Every single bike TV does not work. It is not that hard to fix the television so you can enjoy your workout while you watch the news. Every channel is fuzzy half of them you cannot hear the volume. It is extremely frustrating to pay so much money that they charge and they won’t fix the minor things and fix the equipment so that you can use the gym that you pay for. Frustrated

Deceptive sign up practices. When I signed up I specifically asked if there was annual fees and they said "no... Your only responsible for first and last month fee today and after that you will be charged once a month for your plan. 2 weeks later after signing up they bill me an annual fee. Their excuse you signed it with your Initials. Has anyone seen how long their contract is? When I asked am I signing for any fees I'm unawarw off because I don't want to read the whole contract line by line and they said no hidden fees at all and your signing for what we just discussed. Well there is hidden fees and they just don't explain it up front. Beware of their sale tactics. I work in sales for the largest brokerage in the Nation and we understand docusigns are long but at least disclose the information.

Day care workers are very in experienced, the only girl who had kids left and now I can’t ever finish my work out with the new girls watching my baby. The girl who used to work there knew how to entertain a baby and would send me picture updates, she was great! And ever since she left the 20 year olds who now work there always call me that my baby is crying and they seem to not even try to distract her. Today I got a full 30 minutes and that’s all. Imagine taking prework out and you have to leave because the daycare girl didn’t want to watch your baby anymore? When I went to pick her up she wasn’t crying until she saw me and then the girl (I don’t know her name) said “you’re leaving now” to my baby and didn’t Ben ask if I could try to calm my baby and then get back to my work out, just seemed like she wanted us gone.

Great kids club, they have a steam room and dry sauna and parking isnt a nightmare. Lots of ppl on their phones on the machines but that's been every gym we've tried just simply asking if they're done fixes that. Pool is outdoors and the staff are very helpful.

Terrible experience. Similar to the other review about the “free pass” it’s not free and it’s not a pass literally I wanted to just try out the gym. I talked to two different girls about the membership and a tour. Literally so pushy and terrible customer service. One of the girls took my ID placed it in her pen holder (which I didn’t see until I picked up my ID) just so I can workout. If it wasn’t for their terrible sales technique I would have gotten a membership but the fact that I wasted 30 minutes speaking to them and for them to keep pushing the membership and the “stats” of the gym is ridiculous. I couldn’t even enjoy the workout I just wanted to leave at that point.

I did visit this gym twice. It wasn’t a great experience. First time there was no towel as they have started laundry by 10:30pm. Second time, there was towel but someone stole it from the hook out from
Steam room. And sauna is closed for maintenance. I did steam room for like 10-12 min and came out for break and tried to go back inside and it was wide open and they started cleaning it by 10:25pm. The shower stall that I went to is like drizzle with no power. The handle was so protruding and sharp that I hurt my elbow while showering. It’s not a big deal but just getting hurt from shower handle that oozes the blood out is obnoxious. The other shower stall was sounding like screening while the water was running. Another stall didn’t even have the handle. Won’t be going to this club again. Don’t waste your money in this club. This la fitness is more like NA fitness (not available)

Hit a leg day after a hangover. By the time I was about to leave I realized I lost my keys. I had work in an hour and I started stressing if I’ll ever find them. Until Aaron took his time and energy to help a brother out. It was on the stair master. He saved my life that day. Now I owe him coffee.

I’ve been coming to this gym since it was Gold’s Gym. Ever since it changed to Esporta / LA Fitness, the quality has steadily gone downhill.

I’ve gone at all hours — early morning (right at opening), mid-day, late evening. No matter when I go, 40–50% of the dumbbells are missing from their racks. They’re either scattered across the gym (yes, even in the sauna), completely misplaced, or just plain gone. This has been going on for months, and it’s clear that management makes no real effort to restock or maintain order.

Same story with barbells — some are always missing or left in random corners.

I can deal with a busy gym. What kills motivation is having to search the entire floor just to find a matching set of weights. Meanwhile, staff are either chatting with each other or on their phones. Why not spend that time resetting the floor and putting equipment back where it belongs?

And lately, the Kids Club has become a complete mess. For the past few weeks, I’ve been turned away multiple times because there’s usually only one person staffed — and once the adult-to-kid ratio is reached, they just start turning families away. No accountability, no alternative, just “we’re full.” It makes it nearly impossible to plan workouts.

To be clear — the staff who work in the Kids Club are kind and take good care of the kids. The issue is management, not staffing enough people to run the Kids Club properly.

The only reason I haven’t canceled yet is because all my gymbros are here. Otherwise, I’d be long gone. I miss EOS Fitness…

I have been coming here for the last two almost three years, and here’s what I have noticed. Very scattered or very little weight cleanup, at one point in the day, they may have three employees gathering weights and putting them back, but honestly I only see it once a day at most. The trainers do nothing but talk to each other in their little corner all day. It’s honestly hilarious how this place makes any money. The only people doing any work are the janitorial staff, shout out to them. Front staff can’t be bothered to move or grab equipment or really do anything. Now you can’t even enter through the rear entrance where there is typically plenty of parking. It’s just goes to show how lazy they are that they would rather block an entrance way instead of adding another desk. They claim it’s because people would sneak in through the elevators (which aren’t even in code, they have been expired since 2020) and those elevators don’t open unless you get front desk approval. So it all comes back down to the staff’s laziness. They just don’t want to be bothered to work. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this gym if it wasn’t for the decently modern equipment. The rest of this gym is an absolute joke. I would give the 0/5 stars if I could.

Tried to claim a free 7 day pass to workout while I’m on holiday break from college, didn’t work and they gave some bs reason about my sister not being the account holder, so my dad tried and it still didn’t give me a pass. They tried to sell me on buying a membership, lying on their website offering free passes just for you to show up and they tell you it doesn’t work so you’ll buy a membership. I said screw it and tried using my dad’s account to go work out, I don’t even lift I just go for stretching and physical therapy. They instantly start pressing me about it and threatening to terminate my dad’s account. Horrible and rude incompetent front desk workers doing too much for their pay grade. The guest passes are a scam and they will try to force you to buy a membership

Unfortunately, this is one of the crustiest gyms I’ve ever been to. Starting with the pros, it is large, contains a biking and dancing room, and there is a boxing area with bags. The cons: the machines are extremely outdated and the staff is unhelpful. For reference, the treadmills are the same models from 2014. I know this because I remember exactly what I used back then. The touch screen on the treadmills barely work, and you have to click 100 times to change the speed. Sometimes you can’t even get them to restart if you pause them. I’ve also experienced the ellipticals automatically resetting while I was in the middle of my workout. I can’t say all of the staff is unhelpful because I have not met everyone, but I had a question for an employee at around 7pm near the front. She was sitting on her phone and when I asked my questions she said she couldn’t help me and I’d have to come back from 9 to 5. She didn’t research anything and had an attitude when I kept asking questions. If you want LA fitness, I don’t recommend this location. I cancelled my membership.

I was very displeased with my visit on Wednesday November 20th @ 1:10pm at LA Fitness in Santa Ana on 17th and Tustin. It’s hard for me to even write a review for this company because I’ve been a member for a few years now and always received excellent customer service at the Orange location by the staff. It is now closed and it is very unfortunate because I experienced the worst rudeness from an employee named “Saul E”. I have a guest pass on my membership and he did not want to let my sister come into the gym. I had not been to the gym since they closed the one in Orange , so I wasn’t familiar with some of the things that might have changed. He asked us to pay $20 and he would let her in. I asked to speak to the manager and he said she was not there and he was the next person in charge. I asked him if he could be helpful and allow her to come in as I can bring a guest to the facility. Then he proceeded to saying if we would leave him a review he would let her in. My sister replied back by saying “ I do not feel comfortable writing a review for you when you have not been helpful and don’t want to let me inside in the first place”. He was very insistent about the review. After I said no a few times she will not write you a review, he answered “Well I’m giving you an option” in an abruptly tone. This means that he would have let her in for a good review on his name but couldn’t be helpful in giving excellent service to a customer that has guest privileges. That is absurd! He is inconsiderate and rude. The worst part is that I asked him for his name and he said his name was George. I asked someone else that worked at the gym after the conversation we had and they said his name was “Saul E”. What kind of person in charge would lie to their guest and give a different name. This person is very dishonest and should receive consequences. There were two other men standing next to him one on each side when this occurred which both did not say anything but made everything so uncomfortable because they where just standing like by standers and I can’t believe they went along with the lie of this so called “George” name. One of them could have spoken up and been honest about their colleagues name. This front staff on this day was very unprofessional. They should definitely hire new staff.

The front desk manager was incredibly hospitable when she greeted everyone at the door with outstanding customer service! It’s a great place to workout out comparing to all the other locations that I’ve visited. The facility is always clean and shining. Staffs are very friendly and honestly it’s better than many fancier clubs. It has two floors with many choice of equipments and well maintained. If you want a gym that never cleans, it’s a treasure hunt to find weights, and you occasionally get gum stuck to your shoe from just walking around then this is your place. Also, the a/c barely works so when you are hitting it hard you get to do it in a nice steamy environment. Don’t worry about germs though, I’m sure they wipe the equipment down (not that I ever saw it).

I have been going to this gym before it was a Esporta (previously a LA Fitness). I try to get to the gym 3 to 5 days a week usually between 1:30 m and 4:00 pm. Going to this gym was something I looked forward to. I cannot say that has not been the case for the last six to eight months. The current management sits at the downstairs desks working the phones trying to get new members rather than managing the gym. There are weights and equipment everywhere. I realize this is the result of the people who use the equipment and don’t feel that they need to replace it, but announcements about re-racking weights and an occasional walk around by management to replace equipment could help with this issue. An even bigger issue is vaping. There are individuals who walk around the gym with their vape pens in their hands or on a lanyard around their neck vaping every several minutes. A couple of weeks ago there was a lady sitting on the floor with her back against the wall just vaping. She wasn’t working out at all. Vaping in the locker room is also a big thing. Today there was an announcement at at about 2:50 not to leave valuables on a locker. Apparently, lockers are now being broken into and valuables stolen. Finally, I have towel service, and there are almost as many days where there are no clean towels as days there are towels available. All of these issues could be addressed by the management staff, but they aren’t. I don’t want to leave this gym because i have made some good friends there, but management and staff need to step up their game at this gym.

Veterans are not welcome nor their service appreciated at this location. I had guest pass good for 7 days and was denied entry on the last day. I had confirmed with an employee Sunday night that I would be able to use the facilities that Wednesday on the expiration date. The manager janette then decided to deny me access when I told her I was a homeless vet. When I explained to her what the other employee had said she simply said they were misinformed. Great, except this homeless vet was a counting on using the showers that day. On top of that she tried to charge me $2 for a towel when I had previous paid nothing for the ones I used before. There's no consistency here in management one day they're cool with you and the next it's this stuff. Anyways veterans stay away you will not be treated kindly here no matter what you have done for this country.

This gym is a great value for what you’re paying. It’s well stocked with free weights and weight machines. There’s a salt water lap pool that is a comfortable temperature. Steam room and sauna. Restrooms are generally in acceptable condition and staff is quick to take action if you notice it’s messy. The crowd varies throughout the day. Excellent for a lunch workout, retirees and people that work from home who can exercise before 5pm. Yes I have been a member of more expensive clubs…this one is an outstanding value.

This is a spacious gym with decent amenities, but my overall experience was bad due to the uncleanliness of the gym. The weights aren’t reracked and the dumbbells are scattered across the gym. The cleaning stations are sparse and the equipment doesn’t seemed to be cleaned recently. Some of the equipment is missing pieces creating an uneven start and end to your lift.
However, men’s locker room seemed relatively clean and had a dry and steam sauna inside.

First time working out at this location. It is hard to navigate where everything is. I couldn't find the thigh or ab machines I like to use. The gym actually has a very nice big, open, and organized area for cardio. However, the weight room floor is is terrible. I went for three consecutive days during a trial pass, and every day the dumbbells were scattered throughout the entire second floor. Good luck if you want to find two dumbbells that match unless you’re going for something over 70 pounds. There’s not only shows the disrespect of the members, but the lack of management of this facility. Unfortunately, I’ve come to expect this from several LA fitness locations I’ve been to. They need to add another employee to hold members accountable to actually put their equipment away and organize things. I went on a Saturday morning 60 minutes after the gym opened and it was still in terrible condition. You would think they would actually clean and organize the gym when they’re closed for 9 hours, but that definitely isn’t the case. I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone and I would honestly be embarrassed to be an employee there.

If you work a normal 9-5 Monday to Friday and like having your money held hostage when trying to cancel than this is the gym for you. Also shoutout to the 2 front desk associates today (6/3) @4 pm who didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and had the audacity to tell me I should drive around to find a location with a manager if I wanted to cancel.

The gym is great for the price but they should really work on refilling the wipes for the equipment often as well as the soap dispensers in the showers. I always see them cleaning but not sure if that same person or responsible for refilling

ESporta is supposedly a better-tier gym, but they have extremely low-quality treadmills and equipment. Will post updates on how some treadmills don't even work, and some spaz out and increase/decrease speeds while your on them, which could cause a potential injury.

Good/okay spot, gym facility. This location has had a many gyms come and go prior to ESPORTA being established. This gym seems to fit here a little better than the others. I personally am leaving this gym because of their hours. 8-5 on weekends? I look forward to my evening lifts on Saturdays and Sunday. The gym doesn’t capture my attention as well so I’m heading back to an OG gym I went to for years that is 24 hours.

We have special trainer for my son who has a broken leg and he is recovering
We agreed to two month agreement for the personal trainer and it has been 4 months and they still deduct $320 every month and we can’t cancel

I have been training at ESPORTA for two years now. I have had many trainers but no one like Jennifer. She really understand the body and what each individual client needs to reach their goals She is educated about exercise science and the human body plus she is really in tune with each clients needs. Jennifer does this because she loves it not because she has to. Rick the personal training director has really picked up this place and brought the personal training team together which includes us as clients. They keep client folder notes on each of us individually so all we have to do is show up. LA Fitness rocks!

I was waylaid by the Covid lockdown, but I built up personal training credits that I am now using at will. There were, at the time when I got back into working out, only a couple of personal trainer choices at this gym. I chose Jennifer and never looked back. She is attentive, knowledgeable and understands my main goal is to not get injured. She’s tough the way you want your trainer to be, but knows how to read my limits to make sure I’m not injured. She is very understanding of my busy schedule and is flexible. She is also a motivator for my life outside the gym. I highly recommend her. Personal trainer director at the club is also outstanding. He has really shaped up the place that, before he took over, was a bit chaotic.

I’m being trained by Jennifer M. so far I’ve had 2 sessions but so far I’ve had a great time. she really is careful with how much you can handle but she does pick great challenging exercises that’ll push you to what you’re comfortable with. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

This gym ticks all the right boxes! Clean facilities, outstanding trainers and staff, equipment and classes for everyone - all at affordable rates. The head trainer, Rick, made me feel welcome immediately. His knowledge, expertise, and professionalism is much appreciated as he helps me hit my fitness goals. It's a gym I'm happy to go to!

It's a good gym. Gets crowded sometimes but enough equipment to get a workout in. My only issue is the weird kids club hours. For a parent that works full time during the day, the only time my wife and I can go are Mon-thursday after work. Friday & Saturday the kids club isn't open in the afternoons and Sundays is closed (the biggest days to go for a workout!). I hope they change it in the future.

Overall this gym is okay. Tends to be really packed in the afternoons with high school kids. The front desk staff need to be retrained. I have the towel service on my account and they always give me a hard time. One of the girls even gave me an attitude when I politely asked her to check the notes on my account.

Shout out to Vergel and Josh for always providing the best customer service though.

The free weights are free range in the sense that they are scattered all over the place. No one re-racks. Even the weight plates are left on machines. I go out of my way not to come here. The workers need to do better.

This gym is like a junior high for entitled teenagers and young adults. 80% don’t rerack their weights, it’s common to see selfish individuals hog up to 6 dumbbells and a piece of equipment at the same time denying access to others - and this starts at 5am. Zero care from management on this. It’s trashy, tacky, a bit getto and boils my blood I have to resort to the same methods to get my workout in. Almost no manners on the “guests” here.

Totally mislead, and charged $25 to cancel. They are still charging me $25 a month for a cancelled membership. Called the corporate number but there isn’t anyone to take my phone call. Let’s see if the charges reoccur for February. I only give 2 stars due to one hot chick that works there.
