This has been my gym for 6 months. The instructors are good, though I realized im more of a one on one type than a group class type. Vanessa is incredible as a personal trainer. Ashton is always friendly and hilarious and always very helpful. Just had my job transferred and going to miss this gym ❤️

Decent gym and plenty of machines/free weights to do what I need to do for my session. However it can get very crowded and messy. The gymgoers are selfish here - They don't put their dumbbells back in the correct spot and don't wipe down their machines after use. However, the lack of wiping down the machines could also fall on the gym ownership due to a lack of wipes in the free weight area. You need to exit the free weight area in order to wipe down a bench or machine.
The men's bathroom is usually disgusting with urinals constantly out of service and the floor wet. One reason why I continue going to this gym is that it's the closest gym near me that has a sauna, although the sauna is heavily abused by members squirting water on the coils and covering the thermometer with a wet paper towel to make it even hotter.
You can get what you need for your lifting session done here if you don't mind waiting a bit for each machine or improvising your workout the entire time.

I visited about 7-8 LA Fitness gyms in LA and this one is absolutely the best! ! !
I wish they could have a little bit more benches, squat racks. And more intensive air ventilation. But it’s a minor inconveniences compared with other LA Fitness gyms. Staff is great. Overall it’s a really good gym. Also keep in a mind - it’s overcrowded sometimes.

This gym always closes early. The doors are locked 20 minutes before closing. I get that I can’t get a full workout in but it’s at least enough time to hit the stairs for 10 minutes. I don’t understand why this business won’t schedule employees for at least 30 minutes after closing so they’re not stressed out trying to get everyone out by the exact closing time.

It's a good gym. A bit crowded at times which can create a good energy but it would be nice to get access to equipment without the wait.
They keep it clean and seen to service equipment as needed.
They have a smoothie bar that I haven't tried it myself but I see people drinking them.
The ladies that check you in are nice and always greet me coming in and say bye going out the door.
Overall a cool place to work out.
The newer annual renewal fee is bogus. Seems like a money grab from Covid and they aren't removing it.

I love the amount of equipment they have. However, if a machine breaks, it could stay broken for a month to 3 months. They do need more benches for those who use weights for various body parts (i.e. shoulders, chest, etc..). The staff is very friendly. Went here while I was back home from school with my parents. There is a good equipment variety but this gym has some issues.

1. They don't have 35lb plates
2. many of the clientele do not understand basic gym etiquette (people wont rerack weights and will take equipment from areas and not return it)
3. about 3/4 of the treadmills are in need of service (the belts start to catch when you get up to running speed)
4. of their TVs, 3 are stuck on CNN and 2 on Fox News and there's like 4 that are never on. they never change them to show any sports etc. even on CFB Saturdays or NFL Sunday

My first experience here was with a guest pass. Upon getting the guest pass I arrived at 6am when I went inside I was told I could not go in because the pass wasn't active. I am Happy with LA Fitness on Golden Valley Road in Santa Clarita. The gym is clean, they have plenty of wipes so you can wipe down the equipment before you start using it. The pool, jacuzzi and bathrooms are also very clean. Love the pool because I can do laps.

This place is a joke. If you're paying for the facilities alone (cardio and weights equipment, pool, and sauna) I guess it's a-okay. However, if you're paying MORE for classes, club, and/or personal training you're signing up for DISAPPOINTMENT. Classes are rarely consistent, instructors come and leave and they're never on time, they're usually figuring out coverage in the spot- leaving you with half the time left for your yoga, Zumba or cardio-box class. Personal training is AWFUL. I've seen 4 trainers go, one after the other, and 1 that never showed up. Now they've lost Neil and Chandler, who were the ones that have been in LA Fitness the longest (Neil- 8 months, Chandler, 11 months)... PLUS: YOU CAN TELL THEY TREAT THEM BADLY. Save your money and go elsewhere...

I have to give kudos to Stephanie and Courtney. After having signed up for what I could not afford Stephanie to care to guide me and place me into a more affordable personal training membership. She took the time to explain and answer questions to make sure I understood the contract, and the financial aspect of it. She was patient and professional. Her customer service skills are incredible. She is approachable and sincerely genuine in her approach. Courtney is the woman behind the desk and she is kind, professional and patient. These two ladies are worth their weight in gold. Need more ten pound plates,and more handles for cable machines. Getting worse!. All cable machines are now becoming dangerous. The metal connectors are extremely worn. Be careful !. If I could give this 0 stars I would. I came here on a 3 day pass to test this gym out and see if I wanted to make it my Santa Clarita gym. First to start off with, what really got to me was the fact that there was no sanitation stations but 1 for the whole downstairs. I wasn’t seeing anyone wiping down their machines, and staff members also were not enforcing people to do so. I felt very dirty working out there. I cut my hour work out into thirty minutes so I could get off the weight floor. I proceeded to the upstairs to the cardio area, which was smaller so the 1 sanitation station they had worked for it. The air ventilation up there though was really poor and felt like my lungs were being pressed on by a blanket. The bathrooms seemed run down and some stalls wouldn’t even work to close properly. All in all if you care about not wanting to get sick or catch other viruses or diseases through other peoples perspiration, I would not recommend this gym for you. I will not be coming back.

If you have a busy schedule I would try Crunch or 24 hour fitness first. At least they actually care about their members' busy schedules and are putting the effort to stay open later on weekends, unlike LA fitness.

I have mental health and the Manger lady and the lady in the front laughed at me when I told them my mental health history I've been there 3 day I'm new membership and they told me my kids were aloud to come as well they lied . This gym for the most part is okay. I do have to comment on some things I saw this morning. 1. There were no bottle of cleaners anywhere in the gym to clean off equipment. Has LA Fitness decided that they do not want to provide what is a requirement? I was not able to wipe down any of the machines I used, which is disgusting! I am hoping this problem is solved immediately because whomever owns this gym knows this is not the correct thing. 2. When I went to take a shower, at 7 am, they were filthy!!. It continues to amaze me how a gym that opens up in the early mornings, does not feel the need to clean the bathrooms and showers until 8 am?? This is completely ridiculous! How about cleaning the bathrooms/showers at closing, so the people who come in the early morning (and who also pays a membership) can use a clean locker room.??? Secondly, it looked like the showers had not been cleaned for quite some time! Really LA Fitness??? I believe the cleaning lady was cleaning something in the pool area, when she should have been cleaning the women's restroom! 3. Why is it that it takes this gym so long to fix what is broken??? The Saunas have been broken for a month (according to staff). We pay a membership, and if we do not pay, you are ready to hunt us down. That same diligence should be given to ensuring that all things are functioning at all times. So when are the saunas going to be fixed?????????? LA Fitness has been in business many years. To be writing about these problems is just criminal, and should be an embarassment!

So far, I'm really enjoying my membership at LA Fitness. I was hesitant to join bc I was coming from a smaller gym and the reviews here were alarming but I joined anyway and so far it's been great. The treatment I've gotten from Rahm, the manager, and Dustin, the training director, has been unparalleled! They make me feel really welcomed and comfortable there. Rahm was super helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and just beyond amazing before I signed up. He had amazing client service and really shows he cares for his patrons.
