I've been going to this gym for years, mostly because I'm comfortable here. But the strength equipment is the same stuff they've had for 10+ years. And they currently only have two functioning squat racks. Two. Its hard to see how this gym continues to compete with gyms like EOS when they continue to offer subpar recovery or lifting options.

One of members ship at front he represent himself as a Manager but I don’t think he can be a manager
He need me to scan the visitor when I come, and the visitor is different each time. This guy, the staff member, intimidates me, wastes my time, and doesn’t welcome my presence at the gym. Once, he even told me I could go to another gym.
If someone need this issues to get solved, I need someone from the main office to call me because he let one of his friend at the same gym to call me and give me another hard time. The only thing he told me this guy in the phone, the 700 location you can go that’s kind of weird unprofessional Instead of to solve the issues he offered me to not go to this one and go to different different location.

Customer service at this location is horrible. Avoid joining this gym at all costs and find another option. Two separate times I have had to deal with extremely rude managers. The first time was to let them know that the room where the fitness class is held gets extremely hot and to ask about keeping the door open for a breeze. Manager was rude and defensive from the intial request and ended the conversation with an attitude and the statement "that's just the way it is and there is nothing I am going to do about it"

Another situation this morning, I was attempting to enter the gym (my wife had already gone in ahead of me as she was late for her class while I parked). I am coming in as a guest, which is a perk of the membership that we pay for. I was stopped and denied entry, even though I have attended in the past and am in their system. A manager by the name of Angel was sitting at the front desk, barely spoke loud enough to comprehend any of the words he was saying, and hardly looked up from his computer when I was attempting to talk to him to resove the situation. I was simply asking to walk back to the fitness room so that I get my wife to come to assist, since that was their request. He would not let me go in to get her, and when I asked him for an escort, he said he was busy. I asked to speak to someone with higher authority to which he claimed there was no one. Skip this gym altogether and go to EOS instead. The staff is welcoming, warm and friendly unlike the extremely rude staff at eSporta!

The men's locker room is usually really messy. The bathroom has a strong odor of urine and vinegar, they need to use a deodorizer stronger than vinegar to mask the urine smell. I've been in plenty of public restrooms and gas station bathrooms that are cleaner than this. It's consistently dirty and unpleasant.

If you bring up minor problems to the staff, they are very disinterested and don't even pretend to care about your feedback. The paper towel holders are often empty, and the soap dispensers run out without being refilled often enough. Lastly, the staff very rarely greet you or say goodbye when you enter or leave the gym, they just ignore you 95% of the time, and I think that's odd. All these problems are easily solvable. The little things all add up and make a difference.

It's truly disheartening to give such a wonderful gym a one-star rating. We recently moved to Murrieta, and I enrolled my son here because it closely resembles 24 Hour Fitness, which he previously attended. He really enjoys the facilities, but the experience has been marred by disappointing customer service. Kendra's demeanor has been particularly off-putting, as she comes across as quite rude and unprofessional. Overall, I'm very let down by this locations customer service. Being that I work in the customer service industry I pride myself in being respectful to all customers. Something that seems so little can definitely change a customers mind of spending their hard earned cash with an establishment who treats them so poorly.

"Why do you stay in prison, when the door is so wide open?"
At LA Fitness, I found that open door—not just to physical strength,
but to inner clarity and discipline.

The weights clanged like drums of a sacred rhythm,
each repetition a verse in the poem of becoming.
Treadmills carried more than footsteps—they carried intention,
reminding me: “As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.”

Amidst the iron and sweat, there is silence.
A stillness between sets,
a breath between goals—
where one meets the self and sees what they are capable of.

This gym isn’t just a place to build muscle—
it’s a place to shed excuses, to meet your edge,
and to rise.

"You were born with potential, you were born with goodness and trust."
And in every lift, every drop of effort,
LA Fitness becomes a temple for that truth.

Decent gym in terms of the equipment and the other amenities. But a lot of the staff members are horrible. Mind you I’ve only been here 3 times, and one of those times the staff was decent but the other two times were bad experiences. My first time here on a guest pass went good until I was about to leave and then I was hounded for 30 minutes about leaving my current gym for their gym, which wasn’t gonna happen because they don’t stay open 24 hours which was a deal breaker for me but the staff just kept pushing and brought 2 other members to try to convince me. When I finally had enough of being polite and rose my voice they finally just let it go. And just recently I went to hoop with a friend, who put me on his guest list and he was already in the building, so I talked to the staff upfront and explained my friend was waiting for me but I was told I will have to wait for him to come to the front. So while waiting I obtained a Guest Pass, and attempted to get in with that but was told since I had been a guest there before that I they couldn’t honor it and was told I could buy a membership to which I gladly declined. So I did research and read on their website that i can get a new guest pass every 6 months, meaning the staff lied just to get me to buy a membership.

Having been to multiple LA fitness all throughout Southern California, I will tell you that this is one of the better ones.

The parking lot is massive and has plenty of parking, the equipment is all well taken care of, and the sauna was dope.

However it was lacking two things that would have made it five stars.

For example, there is no steam room, and there are no freestanding dip bars to do calisthenics .

Regardless, if you’re looking for an LA fitness to go to, this is a pretty solid choice .

Lastly, if you’re reading this, I hope you have a wonderful day, week, month, and year.

I signed up with the gym with Silver Sneakers through Medicare. The manager said I had to come back within 30 days for a mandated visit required by Silver Sneakers. I called Silver Sneakers and they said I only needed to sign a waiver.
No sure what the manager was talking about but the required visit was no true.

Consider this your official red flag regarding LA Fitness in Murrieta. My wife and I recently ventured into this establishment hoping to find a suitable gym. The initial walkthrough felt like a mere formality, followed by the inevitable price list. Like any sensible consumers, we wanted to weigh our options and compare with other nearby facilities. That's when the pleasant facade crumbled.

The representative we dealt with became incredibly pushy, bordering on aggressive, and flat-out refused to let us leave. He launched into a relentless sales pitch, touting amenities we hadn't even been shown. Matters escalated when our baby became fussy, requiring my wife to step outside. Instead of a polite farewell, this so-called representative decided to launch a personal inquisition, demanding to know why my wife wasn't signing up immediately, why I wanted to compare other gyms, and even questioning our family dynamics and who made decisions!

To our disbelief, when we asked for a manager, this same individual claimed to be the one in charge. His response to our concerns about his inappropriate and personal line of questioning? That he could say whatever he pleased on "his premise."

Let me be unequivocally clear: the behavior we experienced at LA Fitness was beyond unprofessional; it was intrusive, disrespectful, and frankly, alarming. This isn't a place that respects potential customers or basic boundaries.

Do yourself and your family a favor and steer clear of this LA Fitness . There are undoubtedly other gyms in the area that value your time and treat you with the respect you deserve. Don't subject yourself to this kind of aggressive and bizarre sales tactic. You've been warned.

I am also sending details to the corporate office.

The best LA Fitness I know of out of the three. Has a great pool (that I once swam every day in), clean showers, and hot tub, good equipment with 2 floors, and more. Also includes a Sauna. I signed up for personal Training through this gym, and it was very reminiscent of buying a used car. I was promised a lot and pushed to sign up for a long and expensive contract. I noticed how their 'fitness assessment' was mainly just to get me out of breath as quickly as possible so that when it was time to sit down and discuss pricing and plans, I was lightheaded. I had to push to find out real pricing and real information about what these sessions actually entail. It was pretty clear that the Jose, the Personal Training manager cared more about signing me up for as much money as possible than actually finding out what my goals were and what was realistic for me. Ultimately I shortened the contract from 9 months to 6 months after some pushing, but I really felt like I had to advocate for myself to make it happen.

The thing saving this entire experience is the trainer I have been paired with. Rich is absolutely awesome, he is attentive, and always going above and beyond. This is the first time I have felt really comfortable and excited to be at the gym 5 days a week, and that is in large part due to Rich. He changes his training method and means of encouragement for the person in front of him. I always feel capable of doing what he asks and he always gives me a plan for the rest of the week so that I can keep being productive outside of my sessions with him. I have seen pretty fast results in both gaining strength and slimming down, and I know that is because of Rich. Many times I have come in just to work out and he comes over to say hi and check on me. I have met some of his other clients and it is very apparent that he is fostering a great environment out on the gym floor of comradery and fun.

So I must say this is a mixed bag. Once you're out on the floor, the personal Training is great. Just be weary of the vultures up at the front desks who want to sign you up for as much as possible.

I have been training with Rich for going on 6 months now. He customized our sessions to be tailored to me specifically. He understands what your body is capable of and knows how far to push you to get to your end goal or end of your set. I would recommend anyone who wants to be trained, your time taken seriously, and a trainer who takes his time to get to know you and your fitness goals, to come work out with Rich. 10/10 would recommend.

UPDATE: I have come to the conclusion that if you want to work out consistently and have young children, then build your own home gym and just go to the real gym when you have someone to watch your child. Powerhouse was eventually a disappointment too - still not as bad as Esporta but yes. Sorry parents, gyms need to put more effort into childcare.

This place deserves 0 stars and should close down. Just wanted to write this review to protect any other parents and their children from experiencing the same thing my 2 year old son and I did here, I still feel guilty for bringing my son here because of how awful the experience was. I signed up specifically because they offered kids club and my Crunch Fitness closed. My son did well at the Crunch Fitness daycare. They never had to call me to go get him and he was always happy because they seemed to actually care for the kids there. We were going there for over a year until it closed. At this gym, they left my son screaming on the floor and decided to call me 10 minutes after I dropped my son off to tell me he wasn’t doing well and I needed to come get him. I only went there a few times to see if it was just because my son wasn’t used to it but they called me every time to pick up my son about 10-30 minutes after dropping him off. The workers at the daycare were rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there. They should hire people that love kids and actually want to watch them or not have a kids club at all. This situation happened in January and caused me to cancel my membership. They made cancelling difficult, I was hung up on and had to wait for the manager because two of the front desk people didn’t know how to cancel my membership. The manager said they would cancel it but that I would have to pay a $25 fee in PERSON, even after my son and I’s difficulty with their staff. I pleaded to pay over the phone because I never wanted to step foot in there again and with more difficulty, they allowed me to pay over the phone. Although they said I was clear, the next couple of months I got charged for being a member there, I didn’t know because it was on my husband’s card and he brought it up to me later. I called the gym and they acted as if I didn’t cancel it until I searched through my emails to find the proof of cancellation three months prior. I had to send these emails to another manager and they finally cancelled and gave me a refund, with hesitation.

Luckily after being traumatized at this Esporta, I found Powerhouse with a WAY WAY better kids club. I’ve been going here for about 7 months now, 5-6 days a week and have never had an issue with their kids club. My son gets excited to go and loves the ladies there. They play with the kids, do crafts, have games, and actually care about kids, all while keeping the parents informed and allowing peace of mind when working out. I have never been called in by them except to change a diaper and now that my son’s potty trained, to take him to the restroom if he needed. I have never been called in for him crying on the floor or not being taken care of like I was at this Esporta. All this to say parents, BEWARE. Find a gym that will actually give your children attention and compassion so you can have some peace of mind while getting that much needed work out in!

I have been a member for almost a year. It is not a bad gym. The bathrooms could definitely be cleaner. My issue is the kids' center. My wife and I tried it. It is an empty room with like 4 toys that are broken. The woman in there never introduced herself, so I thought she was just a mom waiting. They have a ratio of 11 kids to 1 adult. Now keep in mind the kids vary in age from infants to school age. We felt so bad for even trying to put our kids in their We didn't finish our workout.

I will say that the man that runs the front desk at 5 a.m. every day is a fantastic employee. He runs the desk, helps in the kids' room, and helps gym members. He definitely deserves a raise and a promotion.

Moved here in march, came in to sign up. Manager pushed personal training. So i signed up not knowing its a 6 month Contract. Told him i work 6 days a week and my schedule varies week to week was told they’d work around it. 3 months in i have gone multiple weeks without a personal training session was still charged the monthly $320. Upon asking the manager about canceling my membership was told he’d look into it weeks ago, followed up with him last week and got nothing back. Texted him this week, and crickets. Nothing against the trainer he was great. But management cares more about making a sale than customer experience and service forsure.

On April 18, 2024, at approximately 9:48 am, I checked in at the front desk as a member with guest privileges. I informed the front desk attendant that I would be using the restroom and would return to pick up my friend, who would be my guest for the day. Despite my clear communication with the attendant, a misunderstanding arose later when I approached the front desk again around 10:05 am.

At that time, I encountered Vice President Carlton, who refused to disclose his full name, and was informed by him that according to policy, I could not check in and proceed to work out while waiting for my friend to arrive. Despite my explanation that I had not yet worked out and had only used the restroom as communicated earlier, Vice President Carlton continued to question me, even insinuating that I was not feeling well during my time in the restroom.

I respectfully addressed the situation, emphasizing the importance of gathering accurate information before making judgments and the need for better communication within the team. However, Vice President Carlton’s response was dismissive and unprofessional.

Although Vice President Carlton provided two 7-day vouchers for guest passes, I declined and returned them, as the issue was about the principle and customer service standards.

Following the incident, I spoke with Manager Chase, who clarified that there is no policy prohibiting members from working out or using the restroom while waiting for their guests to arrive. Furthermore, I would like to reference Assembly Bill 1632 (AB 1632), signed into law by Governor Newsom on September 30, 2022, which mandates that specific businesses, including fitness facilities, allow individuals to use the restroom.

I urge Esporta Fitness to address this matter seriously and ensure that all staff members, including management, are adequately trained in customer service protocols and familiar with relevant legal requirements. Additionally, I would appreciate a formal apology for the inconvenience and the inappropriate behavior displayed during my interaction with Vice President Carlton.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to prevent similar incidents in the future and uphold the standards of professionalism and respect that your customers deserve.

I really like this gym coming over from UFC Fit since they moved. It has everything I need, equipment, sauna, indoor pool, the only downfall is it can get really busy on certain days but it really helps to have a trainer that can help gather equipment needed. Kristian S. has been an incredible trainer since my tour with him in December. He really takes the time to help, doesn't rush and is available most times I need. He has a lot of knowledge on workouts and nutrition and can explain it in an easy way. I really feel he has my back and is setting me up for success in reaching my goals. I've had a very bad experience at this gym. I signed up for the personal training program and the gym didn't deliver any of the components of the program. They said they would provide dedicated training time, but most of the training session was spent with the trainer moving from one space to the other. They said they would offer accountability and weekly follow ups and weigh-ins to measure progress, but none of that was done. When I asked the staff about this, they were very rude and kept saying that the only option was to cancel and pay 50% of remaining amount. The staff were very rude and lack customer service skills. I wouldn't recommend the personal training program to anyone as it's clearly a scam they use to take people's money without providing any of what they promote to people when they sign up.

TLDR: If you make an appointment here for a tour, they will aggressively pressure you to upgrade to personal training and talk about your body, weight etc without checking first if it’s okay and stick with their pitch script which is almost entirely built on improving your appearance even when you state that’s not your goal. Appts will also be at least an hour which is not indicated in advance.

I made an appointment earlier this month for a tour and had a trainer who was friendly and positive. However one thing that was annoying is that I was wearing a heavy sweater on a cold day and he didn’t take the cue that I may not want to test out exercise machines or do push ups etc that day since I was not dressed for exercise. We discussed my goals which were mainly around improving cholesterol and some other health metrics, and I explained that due to a health condition I have that losing weight is challenging and more complex, specialized process and probably not something they can help closely with since they are not medical professionals.

After the tour, the trainer said they were going to take my weight and calculate my BMI etc, without even checking if I wanted this conversation or felt comfortable. I decided to go with it even though as a woman I wasn’t thrilled to discuss personal topics like weight with a man I met 15 minutes ago. However I got some good information from discussing the plan, although again it was focused on losing weight and improving appearance which were not the main focus of any of the goals I shared verbally and written in the 3 worksheets I had to fill out that had irrelevant questions to my needs. It felt like they really didn't care about my actual goals and wanted to talk about what they thought was important.

It got really intense when they were trying to upsell me on personal training, even when I said clearly repeatedly prior that personal training was not something I would commit to that day. Then after pushing and pushing, they offered a group training for $50 (which seemed silly because [other] group classes are actually included?). I started to get really deflated and flatly repeated that I would not commit today, then the trainer kept summarizing and re-phrasing the benefits and asked repeatedly if $50 was something I could commit to (while also saying they want to help on my terms, clearly not). He asked me 4 times before I was able to pull away and get out of there.

This whole thing took a little more than an hour when I was expecting maybe 30 minutes with a tour and potential gym sign up.

It seems like their process is designed to make you feel bad about yourself so you commit to buying not only the membership but also their very expensive personal training. I think this trainer/business could improve by going over what to expect from the appointment at the online booking, verbally onsite before starting the tour, and asking if it’s okay to take weight and discuss personal health metrics and/or weight loss/fitness plan.

Place is way too crowded to work out here. Doesn’t matter what day or time you come, it is always over crowded. I can never get a good workout here. It is a waste of my time to even attempt coming here every day

It's a shame this gym is the surviving gym after so many gym closures recently. This gym is dirty, too expensive, and tends to be over crowded. There are no fans throughout the gym to help with air circulation so the air often feels heavy even in a cold month like December. The fans on the machines themselves are crusted with dirt and dust and struggle to push air through. Machines aren't deep cleaned as frequently as they should be. Old dust and dirt is caked on all equipment. The cleanest appearing parts of each machine are the parts that regularly make contact with other people 🤢. The culture of the gym is alright, except that most people will not wipe down machines
before or after use. The most prevalent culture at Esporta: 🦠🧫 It doesn't help that there aren't signs to remind people to do so or wipes within close proximity of all machines. Wipes are so seldom used that the first 2-3 you pull out will be dry. Some equipment could be replaced like the dumbbells with missing rubber chunks from the ends of them. I used to go to LAFitness in Hemet and it's the same story. Seems like the company that owns these chains have the same management style. Disappointing! The only reason I continue to go here is because it's cheaper for me: my crunch rates transferred to this gym so I'm a $20/mo.

if you’re OK with the fact that everyone is using the bathroom and not able to wash their hands after, because there are never any paper towels in the locker rooms, then, yeah, this is the place for you. Just think that all the gym equipment you’ve touched is absolutely filthy.

It's a good gym in the sense that it has just about everything you need to lift (squat racks, benches, free weights). The only issue I really have is the lack of organization with the weights in the facility. Plates left leaning on random spots within the facility, people don't rerack their weights, and people not putting equipment back where they found it.

Clean gym, but they keep running out of wipes to wipe down equipment after you use it. Don't like that when they clean the water fountains, they spray the cleaner onto the faucet. Instead of spring and onto the towel and then open the fountain down. Because I waited for the lady to clean and to get water. When I got the water, I could taste the chemicals from the disinfectant cleaner.

The staff is nice but they can be pushy and try to get you to sign up with their workout plans. Overall it's a good gym but it needs renovation because the lighting is not bright and some of the equipment is old. I only gave it 3 stars because of the staff being pushy with their workout plans. Other than this, it's a good gym.

Tried out their facilities with a guest pass and the facilities look great. Plenty of equipment available, remodeled locker areas, nice lap pool, tried the dry sauna (really hot) 10 minutes was great to wind down after a strenuous work out on free weights and machines. I incorporate heavy bag punching after warming up on elliptical, the only complaint I have is that the punching bags about 10 of them are in a large mirrored zumba room that have the lights off. Seems they only turn the lights when there is a Zumba class and the bags are off limits while the classes are in session. So if you are trying to release some anger after a bad day on a heavy bag, check the daily schedule first to make sure there is no Zumba going on while you are there. Otherwise, the facilities are great and plenty of other areas to get pumped and fit!

11/10 BEST FACILITY AROUND!
Traveling for work I get to see my fair share of different fitness facilities, the Esporta off of Winchester in Temecula is the best gym I’ve been to! The manager James Hollen, was so welcoming and incredibly helpful. There is everything you could want in a gym: great location, great staff, easy parking, updated equipment, large space, clean, a brand new renovated locker room and sauna! 11/10 would recommend to anyone. I am certainly satisfied thus far, and blown away with the facility!

Save your money. This gym is the classic example of “don’t judge a book by its cover” Looks nice and all at first until you realize the bathrooms are always filthy. Sewage smell by the pool. The machines are always filled with paper towels and empty bottles. The staff is rude, especially Jennifer the “manager.” She has no communication or professional skills. She is racist and has everyone else do her dirty work. They change club rules daily and enforce whatever they feel like enforcing. We had been going for three months and all of a sudden one day they insisted they needed my husbands ID. He’s Jamaican. Enough said.

I had an agreement with José (Training Manager) to try the personal Training for 1 month, and I tried to get into contact with him prior to the completion of the month. At the time he was busy, I understood and tried to see him a couple days later. When I spoke to José again later he essentially told me I was out of luck but he would try to talk to the site Site Manager Tony to get it handled. After this point, its basically Cat n mouse trying to get ahold of these guys. It's been 4 weeks now and my card is still being charged with no effort on their part. José basically avoids me at the gym despite being all merry before, surprise... In short don't try the personal Training unless you want to probably get similar experience. The facility is decent but bathrooms are nasty and the sauna at least has bugs. You might as well support a local gym instead that's probably cheaper and lacks the corporate hustle.

During the week the faculty is well staffed and bathrooms are well kept together. On the weekends however (Especially Sundays) the staff are either not paying attention to the customers (One person was actually sleeping at his desk), and the bathrooms are always dirty and unattended. This location could use improvement. Temecula Parkway location is always clean and the employees are much friendlier.

I've been to other Esporta and L.A. Fitness gyms in the area, and even though this location is not the closest to my house, this one has become our "home gym". It's cleaner than the other ones we've been to, the staff is actually attentive, and they don't call to harass and pressure you into getting a trainer's services for personal training. The presence of a whirlpool and a sauna are a huge bonus, and the reason we come here instead of LA Fitness.

I recently signed my son up for a membership. I’ve been a member there for over 10 years. Three days into his membership he was working out and when he went back in the locker room his locker was broken into and all his stuff was stolen!!! When he reported it all the staff could say was he should’ve used a thicker lock! WHAT??? There was no offer to reimburse or look into it. Under the circumstances I cancelled his membership and they still charged $25 to cancel. If you want to join a good gym, go elsewhere!

All the equipment are jammed close to each other to the point people practically trip over one another. Also not a good idea with regards to the safe distance practice. It never used to be like this. This was done to make room for the artificial turf area that is very rarely used except to hang around and talk or do roller foam ( a waste of a giant space just to do roller foaming and light stretching) smh 🤦🏾
