This is the only gym that I’ve been to since moving to LA. It was convenient and a great location for my needs so I thought it was a good choice. The staff has been very friendly and helpful and I’ve never had an issue with getting a machine that I needed to use, however, you have to time your visit to when there’s no active class so you actually have a place to stretch. Facility is also often hot and I’m not sure why they don’t run the AC more. The cleanliness also needs to be spoken about. Often there is mildew accumulating in the showers and bits of paper towels on the floor. The cleanliness issue seems to be getting worse as the gym is closing in 10 days. I feel the manager should’ve handled this situation better especially being a sanitary issue. Two of the shower stalls were backing up so bad that you were standing in over an inch of water. The shower stalls should’ve been closed down until fixed so people weren’t standing in dirty water. You can also tell the machines aren’t thoroughly wiped down as there’s dust accumulating and watermarks. The mirrors in the workout room are often smudged and dirty as well. I don’t know what protocol is for a facility like this, but I would feel it should be thoroughly deep cleaned at least once a week.

This WAS a good location until they decided to pull the rug from under their members. They are closing this location down permanently in two weeks. The next closest location is overcrowded and has terrible parking. We are hearing that LA Fitness is going to open a new "high end" gym at this location and our memberships will not be accepted at the new "elite" gym.

1. This LA Fitness has been neglected. The machines are in disrepair with rubber handles missing all over the place and equipment seats and backing cracked on more machines than you would want. I've mentioned this multiple times over the years and still decrepit. LA Fitness better get on this because this is getting ridiculous..
2. The elliptical machines are old and need updating.
3. Many of the machines and equipment are outdated. They lack the variety that even basic smaller gyms have.
4. People on their phones while working out while the gym is full, c'mon man/woman, learn some etiquette. We go their to exercise and not watch you text and sit on the machine for 20 minutes. Be an adult.
5. The overall climate and temperature is always too humid. The air is thick with sweat and lack of air flow.

Scam artists - I read the previous reviews, and still didn't listen, and I was taken by this crooked company. The people there say and do anything to get you locked in, then when it comes time to cash in on their promises, you get oh that person isn't there anymore, or we can't do it anymore. The gym itself is fine, just whatever you do, never ever sign up for personal training. If you bank trainings, once you cancel the trainings, you have 30 days to use banked trainings. Even though you have been paying for them over the past 6 months. They constantly change trainers, and there is no consistency. Do yourself a favor, and if you want to use as a gym fine, but personal training go anywhere else.

This is probably the only LA Fitness that I’ve been to where the dumbbell rack is kept in order! The gym is kept clean and while often busy, has enough variety and equipment that I’m able to keep my workout on track. The towel service is a nice feature of this LA Fitness.

Big shout out to Camila and Ashley on such great customer service, from the moment I walked in Camilla was friendly and very helpful. I’m visiting for a week and need to stay consistent to my workouts. Camila had Ashley get me all set up for a day pass or two so I would not have to pay the $20 a day fee. Thanks to her management team for working even tho not on site made this a great experience. I’m in sales and I get it, that’s exactly what I would have done…..

A good neighborhood gym. Often, people know each other. It's on the smaller size. Limited areas to stretch on a mat.
Lately, I wonder if the managers are getting too cost conscious - the rack with the assorted free weights is gone, the hand sanitizers are both empty, and two of the sanitizing wipe dispensers are empty.

I came to this location for the first time today. The staff were so friendly and accommodating at the front desk getting me checked in. Was met by James outside of the location and offered me a quick workout/tour. The gym was clean and equipment racked and not scattered around like most commercial gyms. If you’re ready to take your health to the next step then swing on by and talk to James. The first conversation with James was welcoming and thought I was a complete stranger, I didn’t feel out of place/lost due to the positive words from James. James will take care of you and give you a glimpse of what you can achieve through hard work, discipline, and commitment to yourself!

This location doesn't deserve to have the signature club status anymore 😡 they often runout of towels, and when they do have towels they are very small compared to what other clubs have and they are hard as a sanding paper , they nevers have shampoo nor conditioner, only body wash, they don't have body lotion they only have one bit up hair dryer that nearly works

I used to be a member here back when I was in high school and had to quit since I went to school out of state. I came back to visit my family and Logan hooked me up and showed me all the improvements that were made in the gym since I used to be a member here. I definitely recommend you to check this location out as it’s the cleanest LA Fitness location in the area with the newest equipment.

Be careful with your belongings left in the men’s lockers room .today 04-20-2024 around 2:30pm they broke into my locker . They stole all my cash money . They didn’t take any of my documents and cell phone but the money . I reported to one of the employees but he told me theres nothing they can do about it, which I understand that . I told him just to make the staff aware of the thefts happening there . Even when you lock the locker with a lock they can still go in to it . PLEASE BE CAREFUL

This gym is better than the one on Jefferson (in my opinion). It’s clean, the staff almost is always mopping/cleaning out garbage bins. I went once during rush hour. Off rush hours seem to be a better time to go after 8pm.

No hot water for over two weeks and a rude front desk operator with the worst attitude is not a good combo. This is probably the worst of the worst LA Fitness gyms! and before anyone tries to provide compliments the reason why I recorded her doing this is because I had brought it to her attention on multiple occasions because that beam of light from the scanner goes into my eyes which causes bad retina damage and she kept doing it so that’s why I kept recording her this time to catch her in the act. This place wasn’t bad until I tried to cancel my membership. I called over the phone and they said you can only cancel in person or through email. The next time I go to the gym I asked to cancel my membership, there was no one working the from desk to help me. I then proceed to ask the trainers sitting at the computers WHO JUST SIT ON THEIR PHONE ALL DAY, with which I got the response of “no we can’t do that, the one person who can cancel memberships just left and won’t be back until 3 days later.” So they have ONE person who can cancel a membership and no one else. I m a member for over a 1 year on this location and I got my locker broken 3 times this month of July /2023 and some belongings are stolen from my duffel Bag, the manager has been informed, this is not a safe place to bring your stuff and Lock inside the facility!! ATTENTION all the current and future customers of this so called "signature" gym! You can be INSULTED, THREATENED and possibly even HURT by the security here! Yesterday I was PHYSICALLY THREATENED by the security guard. I was in the shower and completely forgot that they close early on Sundays. The staff at this location don't know their contract T&C's. They will tell you one thing but the terms of contract are different. I was charged for a membership because a staff member didn't make the changes on my account they said they would. Even if found wrong, they still won't reimburse you. Shocking customer service 👎

I love the location of this LA FITNESS and the members that work-out at this gym (Westchester). The members are very polite!! The janitorial service personnel work hard and deserve a raise!!

LA Fitness (Westchester) lacks good customer service support. The management group here has a certain type of "click" they prefer to help and seem "annoyed" when you ask a question. It would be nice if they switch up on the music selection and have cleaning spray available (near machines).

Front desk staff are great, gym is great, but the LA Fitness account policies are underhanded. No contract, but they make it a pain to quit, like they are hoping it will be hard enough that you will just keep paying. Why can't I log in and just turn off my account? I would be much more likely to return if I thought they were going to be fair/logical about it.

I joined in Oct. 2019 and have found the club to be great for me. Not too crowded, very clean, friendly, helpful staff. I also work with a personal trainer, Anthony x1/week. He keeps me committed to my routine and pushes me just hard enough. I trust his professional input and I do feel stronger. And the price is right!

This place is way too crowded.
I try coming in the early am and the late evening. Too bad its not 24 hours.
The equipment is not that great, the strides on the elipticals are too short and im 6'1"
The gym doesnt smell that great and there is often a general cleanliness issue.
Its just a very packed, oversold gym.

Pros:
- free parking without time limit or validation as the other one nearby
- sat night was pretty clean in gym and locker room

Cons:
- smaller free weight area, but possibly OK for the amount of people. (2 flat benches, 1 free squat rack). Mostly cardio machines
- smelled like dead rat in the walls near free weights as typical in these commercial structures, they have rat bait traps they est and die in the walls. Never pleasant to lift with.
