Lagree Fit 415 is a Lagree Fitness studio located in the heart of Mission Bay in San Francisco. Our goal at Lagree Fit 415 is to build a dynamic community and to give our clients an efficient and challenging full-body workout. Our classes are intimate and our instructors will give you personalized instruction with a focus on your form. All in all, this is a nice place to get a workout, especially if you want to focus on core and lower body.

The teachers are mostly good, with the exception of Charlotte who is unskilled and presumptuous.

Making and changing reservations is a bit annoying because the website is password-free with many unnecessary steps to log in. The choice is between a burdensome process and downloading the app, and I am never a fan of being forced to download another app.

Customer service is a mixed bag. On the one hand, most teachers are friendly and I like the vibe better than that of larger gyms. On the other hand, management is not receptive to any feedback that is less than stellar.

Added:

Another issue with the reservation system is that it doesn't always work when you try to cancel. Sometimes changing browsers can do the trick, but today I clicked cancel 5 minutes before the late-cancel cut off, happy that I had canceled just in time. Unfortunately ten minutes later I realized the cancellation still was processing, at which point it was too late if I wanted to avoid being charged a fee.

On that, another reviewer pointed out that their late cancel/no show fees are illegal as businesses can't charge more for a no-show than the original price of the service. In the case of class passes at least, this is correct, since you are already paying the full price of the service by losing a class credit. In my experience, if you file a chargeback and explain this to the credit card company, Lagree won't dispute it.

“I’ve been going to Lagree for two years now and absolutely love love it. Originally, I started because of back pain from a work-related injury. I had tried everything for over a year, but nothing helped. Since this studio was in my neighborhood, I decided to give it a try. After three months, my core became stronger, and by six months, my pain was completely gone. I’m so thankful for all the amazing instructors here! Especially big thanks to Jennie and Liz (she left :(( ) The staff are all nice and friendly. The studio is small but very cute and well-kept. The instructors are all fantastic, and classes do fill up quickly, so booking in advance is a must.”

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed taking classes at Lagree Fit 415!

Facility: The studio is nice, spacious and clean. The equipment/machines are well kept and recently updated.

Instructors: Some instructors are really excellent. Staci C and Cat Y are definitely my favorites. They both do a great job of coming up with new and challenging classes every time that integrate a variety of moves. They also walk around to provide targeted form corrections throughout class, which is really helpful. Other instructors I’ve had are all nice, but may be a bit more standard in terms of the routines and cueing, and usually don’t provide detailed corrections.

Booking Availability: It can be really challenging to find booking availability for classes, especially with instructors that I prefer during non-weekday/9-5. Most of the time I have to either book classes a month in advance or try to get on the waitlist the day before. I don’t know that there’s really a solution to this given high demand and limited space, so I don’t blame the studio, but it is hard to be able to use all of my monthly membership quota of classes given the situation.
Maybe publishing a schedule of when the booking window will open for new class days/times and increasing the waitlist size would be helpful to at least make the experience smoother?

Workout Quality: I feel that my core strength has definitely improved. I walk out of class feeling like I’ve spent time well worth it to work on strengthening my body.

Would definitely recommend as a solid place to take Lagree classes!

I liked the classes here but ultimately I felt like I was not getting good value out of my membership.

The issue is this: They used to have a promo where if you gave them a 5 star review on Yelp and/or Google, you would get a class for $5. This means that many of their 5 star reviews were effectively paid for. I have no doubt that they would have gotten some 5 star reviews if they had let it happen organically, but just not quite so many.

As a result, there is an inflated demand for their classes, so they can charge extremely high prices and still always be full. Too often, I was not able to book a class when I was available because everything was booked days in advance. It just made the membership not worth it and trying to book a class was unnecessarily difficult. I'd rather have a gym pass where I can just show up.

EDIT AFTER BUSINESS'S RESPONSE:

Yes, I am aware that the promotion no longer exists, which is why I wrote "they USED TO have a promo". It lasted a long time though; I think after the 5$ class they went to a 10$ class. This allowed them to build a strong customer base which they still have, and all those fake 5 star reviews are still up bringing in new clients, so it's very disingenuous of this business to say that they are committed to ensuring that all of their reviews are genuine and organic. Evidently they are not. If they had really had a change of heart since running that promo, they would get Google to take down the reviews that they paid for.

Anyway, this isn't my battle, but as I said, the result was that as a customer I didn't get to fully enjoy the membership I was paying for, so I stopped going. Simple as that.

I arrived 4mn late because I was stuck in the traffic and arrived totally wet cause I run really bad to be on time after parking my car but they said I cannot attend the class because I was supposed to arrive at 2:30 and not 2:34 + they charged me 14$ for being late. I never write a bad review but they have zero flexibility, I will never come back. They just lost a long term client cause I’m sure they have good teachers. Unfortunate.

It’s been super helpful to take first steps in getting back in shape after 3 years (2 babies) of not being active. Very supportive environment. Easy to go on your own pace and intensity. Short enough class to not feel disruptive to your day. Small and intimate class. Warm and clean studio.

I absolutely love working out at Lagree Fit 415. All the instructors are really encouraging and help you focus/work on your form, but also push you to work hard. I'm always sore after class, in a good way! The Megaformer can be intimidating at first, so I'd recommend starting with an Intro class, which will be a little slower paced and give more instruction on the variety of moves.

I’m so excited to be working out Lagree! So far, I have attended two classes and both times with different instructors, both have been so attentive and made sure I was feeling good and comfortable. The place is nice and the instructors are great. However they have ridiculous rules. If you book a class but don't show up, you not only lose the class itself, but an additional $25. According to law, businesses can charge a no show fee, but it cannot charge the full price of the service provided (or not provided in this case). So they are not only charging you the full price of the service, but also additional fees, which is obviously illegal. Similar situation for late cancellation. I hope the management don't ruin this place with their ridiculous rules.

This is a clean, bright and beautiful space for a full body and cardio workout. Doris, our instructor, was great. Lagree Fit 415 is the only place in which I’ve taken Pilates that I’ve absolutely loved! The classes are smaller and more intimate, which is nice especially for a beginner like myself. I really like how energetic and kind the class and instructors are at Lagree. I am not super experienced with pilates but had done a couple classes elsewhere. During Lagrees class, when I didn't know how to do something or if my form was wrong, I got lots of attention (the right kind!). I felt very cared for and never judged. Great experience! It was also extremely clean the the reformers were wide and comfortable.

Love coming here for Megaformer classes! The studio is bright, clean, and parking is reasonably easy to find in the morning when I come on the weekends. It took a few classes to get my bearings and now, I'm absolutely loving it! It seems manageable when you jump in, then you start to encounter the muscles that you didn't even know you had as you methodically slow down every move to truly feel the burn.

I overheard Liz, one of the instructors who kicks my behind every time, say that this is a very humbling machine even for the athletes. It is humbling for anyone indeed - and I'm making good progress to get the "dancer's body" back. I highly recommend it for those who want to shape up with long lean muscles while building quiet but mighty strength!

Nice location for a great workout! I always feel the burn when l do this workout.... Maybe because the machines really activates your core and other muscles you don't use often. I'd like to keep coming and see the results! :) Btw love the grippy socks they sell!

The instructors here really care about your formgive modifications, and give clear instructions which is super important. LaGree is an extremely effective workout and it’s only 40 minutes! Nice, clean studio with lots of bright light and close to grocery stores and coffee shops.

I would recommend this studio for lagree fitness classes. Their machines are newer/nicer than the other studios. Clean and bright studio with lots of sunlight coming through. Good teachers that help you get a good work out in but also corrects your form to make sure you're doing it correctly and not hurting yourself.

I'll definitely be back. Too bad I don't live closer to it, I'd definitely come more often.
