My daughter started at Legacy Gymnastics when she was just 4 and didn’t even know what a cartwheel was. Now, at 6 years old and competing on the Level 3 team, she has grown tremendously—not only in skills but in confidence and friendships. Every single coach we’ve worked with has been fantastic and genuinely cares about the kids’ progress. The gym culture is unmatched: the girls truly feel like sisters, and my daughter begs to come every single day. The coaches keep us updated on her progress and celebrate her milestones, big and small.
My 4-year-old son has been in the parkour program for about a year and a half and absolutely loves it. He spends each class with a huge grin, and it’s clear the instructors make it both fun and challenging.
Legacy offers a wide variety of classes at every level on both the gymnastics and parkour sides. We toured a few other gyms in the area before choosing Legacy and this facility is, without question, the best. It’s huge, spotless, and equipped with brand-new equipment—and I often see staff cleaning before classes even begin.
If you’re looking for your first gym or a new home for your gymnast or parkour kid, I can’t recommend Legacy Gymnastics enough. The coaches, culture, and care they show every athlete are second to none.

We started coming here when they first opened at the end of 2022. My daughter started off in a once a week rec class, moved up levels, then to pre-team, and now we’re getting ready to participate in competitions. The girls in her Xcel team are all great and they encourage one another led by their coach. The gym feels like a second home to my kid and I love the positive associations she’s making in her physical and mental development by exerting herself in a guided and safe setting.

5 stars all around for LGA!!! I would love to send a special shout out to Coach Slayden (aka Coach Slay). This man is able to keep A consistent level of safety/knowledge of this Art/discipline and most of all FUN, all wrapped up in each and every 45 minute session that My Grandson attends. Calling yourself a coach just for a title is one thing but actually BEING AN AMAZING COACH (Which coach Slay is), requires so much more. My Grandson has learned so much from attending Legacy. I could never thank these coaches enough. The level of safety/concern and attentiveness to each individual child these coaches give is beyond all expectations. We have been attending for a little over a year now, and all three of my grandchildren absolutely adore their weekly classes. Thank you again Coach Slay!!!

I highly recommend anyone interested in getting their kids into Gymnastics or parkour come to Legacy!
I have two girls (one on team and one in rec) here at Legacy. Both of my girls absolutely love and adore their coaches (Mo and Toni).
For future prospective team parents, Mo has created the most amazing loving supportive invironment for the girls. These girls love and support one another in a way I have yet to see on other teams we've been apart of. Mo also knows exactly what each girl needs from her regarding physical training as well as emotional support. When your child is in the gym as much as these girls you need to know that you can trust the coaches you leave them with and I can say without a doubt I trust the entire gym with both of my girls.
Coach Toni is incredible with girls in my youngests class. She gives each girl the attention they need while also leaving space for them to be themselves. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds since she has joined Toni class and can't wait to move up!
My girls may not have classes with the other coaches but we are there enough to know each and every one of them. We have not met a single coach we as a family don't truly love. Legacy has become more than just a gym for our family. It has truly become a second home and family!

LGA is a wonderful studio that is much needed for the South Bay community. I grew up near this area and when I saw this opened up I wanted to come and support even though we live in La Mesa.
Our little one takes Coach Aubrey’s class and she has a gift with little ones. She knows how to get her class moving, how to handle the shy young ones very well- giving them time to bloom in their own timeframe and time. I knew Coach Aubrey was the one for us the moment I met her, she reminded me of a coach I knew when I was teaching dance who knew her stuff so I knew Coach Aubrey was it and she is!!
If you have a new walker I def recommend taking her to Coach Aubrey. If you have an energetic little one I recommend her as well! Coach Aubrey can do it all!’

LGA Parkour was life-changing for my family. My sons can channel their energy in a more focused way, they're safer on the playground, and they love it! Best parkour coaches in town :)

Love this place!! Kind’ve new to this location so I decided to bring my 8 yo boy who showed interest in pull up bars and work out activities. I decided to enroll him in the parkour class not really knowing what it entailed…he immediately fell in love with it!! The staff is outstanding!! Followed closely by the facilities and then overall cleanliness. This place is pretty cool!!! My reason for not giving it 5- stars was just nitpicking a couple things that sorta bother me. Otherwise, I highly recommend bringing yourself or your kiddos!!! 1- limited viewing area; it’s far way for my old eyes and the windows are like looking through home windows or a fish bowl try not to inconvenience other people looking through them though. 2- parking is limited. 3- it’s a little pricey for the student to instructor ratio.
Otherwise, it’s a great place and close to where I live so that makes me happy!
Update: I’m not really good a finger text but needed to clean up some stuff. They do have huge garage doors on the side but due to rain and cold they were closed. I used them before and it still limits viewing.
Parking was full during last visit but I think it was it probably due to a competition or something.
My review shouldn’t deter you from coming and exploring this place. It’s great and we need more of this type of establishment’s in the South Bay.

We love legacy! The gym is large, there’s a lot of quality equipment and it’s always clean. There’s a variety of different classes to fit everyone’s age, day and time needs. The coaches are all so good with the kids and bring out the strengths of each individual child.

Love this place!! Everyone is so energetic, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly to me, it is a safe and what seems to be a secure place. The coaches my child has had have been super patient as my child doesn't open up easily to just anyone, and managed to open up with one of the coaches after only 2 classes. So to me, that says a lot about this coach, (I wish I could remember her name) but, also the cleanliness of this place is great, the restrooms also, I love the viewing room (so does grandma as she's the one that has taken over this duty). I love how there's a little movie area also for the sibblings to hang out while they wait instead of in the car. Parking is great. Location is also great.

We’ve been unenrolled with legacy gymnastics for months now. But I will say this ….I loved when legacy gymnastics was outside, but the indoor facility is nice too. The classes were fun and my daughter did enjoy them for a time, but then some of the instructors were really rude to my daughter & annoyed by her.
She’s autistic and when I signed her up I made sure to tell the person I signed up with, exactly that. She needs to be re-directed from time to time but for the most part she does well when given instruction. She had a few meltdowns in class and the male instructor looked annoyed with her. This wasn’t just a 1 time incident either. This specific instructor just didn’t work well with my daughter.
After that , we took her out of Legacy Gymnastics. It’s not a bad place, it’s really fun.. I just think I need to put my daughter somewhere with people more understanding and considerate of her needs.

Legacy gymnastics is a beautiful facility so thoughtfully designed. My son loved the parkour program Coaches are amazing. My daughter’s pre-team and Coach Mo was exactly what we needed. My daughter loves her. All the coaches there are great instructors and genuinely care about the athletes they are mentoring.

My kiddos have been taking classes with Legacy Gymnastics since 2021, before they opened their incredible gym. Both of my kids have taken level one or level two gymnastics classes with Coach Mo, Aubrey or Slayden and have grown tremendously as gymnasts. The gym is enormous, all the equipment is clean and well maintained, and all the staff is knowledgeable and kind.

Amazing Facility. Very well maintained. Coaches know what they're doing. They have a great observation station where kids can do their homework while waiting for class. Can't recommend Legacy enough. My child will be going there until they kick her out.

LGA has been a great experience for my 4 & 2 year old. The instructors have a great balance of fun, instruction and structure throughout the classes. I have shy girls and within 15 minutes of their first class they were engaged and participating. I also loved the class sizes. The ratios were spot on for instruction! Their equipment is clean and allows for variety. I was shocked to see so much equipment out given they are outside and they have to set up and tear down everyday. It's impressive! My only complaint is that I wish they were in the Santee! Haha. Major props to LGA as they have been a great introduction to gymnastics for my two young up and coming gymnasts!!

Can't say enough good things about LGA Gymnastics. My 5 year old daughter went there for the summer and had a great time! She is very shy and was nervous about starting but the coaches are very patient, friendly and welcoming towards the kids. Their equipment was always very clean and very organized. If your looking for a gymnastics place for you kiddos highly recommend stopping here first! 5 stars!

My son has been in parkour since June 2021 and we can not be happier with our experience. When compared to other activities, we feel we get more out of LGA for a more affordable price. The coaches are knowledgeable, friendly and do a great job at teaching age appropriate skills. My 4 year old has built up his confidence, improved his listening skills and patience (a big win for us parents), and learned about sportsmanship in cheering on his peers. We enjoy watching his progress with his flips and jumps each week. It is also nice to know that they have several different age groups, so he won't age out any time soon. We intend to stay for a long time!

Legacy Gymnastics Academy…is awesome! As a
grandma it's easy and convenient outside especially
during this pandemic that is going on. The staff is
always very nice with my grandson, always
encouraging, polite, when giving lessons with just
him or in a class setting.
The equipment is always clean and well maintained
before and after each class.
Can't wait till the gym is completed and open, so my grandson can experience more equipment along with his gymnastics skills!
CJ’s grandma!
