At Leighton Dance Project, we have a place for every dancer, offering a nurturing environment where learning and growth are always the first priority. We value discipline and technique as crucial components of dance instruction, but believe that the passion and spirit behind this training must also be consistently nourished. We celebrate dance as a tremendously powerful art form, and therefore seek to provide a complete and well-rounded education to any dancer who seeks to obtain it. We strive to cultivate an atmosphere of camaraderie and respect where students can succeed amidst the support of those who share their passion. We especially hope to instill in our students the drive to accomplish their goals and help them along the way.

My daughter has been dancing here since she was 2 years old and it has easily become our second home! The teachers and all of the dream team here are amazing! They always greet us with a smile and are extremely patient with every single child. My daughter was very shy and had a hard time being away from me in the beginning and they were so patient and loved her through it all. The support we get from them is like nothing I have ever experienced anywhere else! I know that no matter where our lives take us they will be in my daughter’s corner cheering her on! I couldn’t have asked for a better studio for my daughter and our family! We love you LDP!

Originally, we chose Leighton Dance Project for my daughter because of its close proximity to our house, but we didn’t realize we were joining a hidden gem. My daughter started at Leighton Dance Project about a year ago. She participates in the cutie club classes, Spotlight program, parents night out events, and summer camps. She has gained so much confidence and has developed an absolute love for dance. She has taken from many of the instructors and interns, and loves each and every one of them. They keep the classes fun, engaging, informative, and they genuinely care about each and every student. My daughter feels like a celebrity when she walks in, as all the teachers know her by name and give her a hug. She loves all of her dance friends as well. Their semi-annual shows are top notch. My daughter is constantly asking me to take more dance classes! The best part of Leighton is that there is a place for everybody… whether it’s first dance steps, shining in shows, starting competitive dance, or the die hard dancers. Overall, we are so happy that we chose Leighton Dance Project to start our daughter’s dance journey!

We have been taking various classes with Ms Halie Walker for about three seasons now and my 6 y/o absolutely ADORES her. She is energetic, patient and so skilled. Leighton is definitely professional and very well organized. We do the shows and it is so much fun to watch and my daughter loves participating. They are always very well prepared for the show.

The staff here is so unprofessional! If you have a complaint be prepared to NEVER be heard, they won't let you speak, they will talk over you, they will tell you they care what you have to say but they don't care at all. I'm still waiting for the owner to give me my money back, this has been an incredible waste of time. If you want your kids to be professional dancers this place is not the place to go, there will be girls playing in the middle of the class that you pay for and the teacher won't say anything to them so it will turn into a play area and you will just be wasting your money. If you want to watch your kids dance you will have no place, you will have to stand there, sit on the floor or watch them on the security cameras.

Very easy to get classes setup and we loved the idea of a trial run before signing up. So glad we signed our girls up here and the teachers and front desk employees were very patient and helpful. Highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to get their kids into dance.

I've been dancing in the Sacramento Area for over 40 years and this is one of the BEST dance studios in town. They are really like a family and have great values and integrity. Miss Alyson is always prepared for class and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we look our very best on performance day. Miss Kelli has the most interesting and unique choreography in town, she really brings out the best in the dancers. Miss Anne is so skilled in her ballet choreography, it's poetic to watch. Try the others but come to LDP for the family environment, where the kids smile because of the pure joy in their hearts for dance. And yes, I'm in the adult classes, which there are MANY! Moms and Dads, it's not too late to learn to dance!
