This place is much more than a gym. Its a wonderful community. The trainers are great, member are welcoming and friendly. It's a great atmosphere, that is supportive of whatever your goals may be. The work outs are guided classes with a trainer, except Fridays which are a work at your own pace white board style or you can come in and work on whatever you want with a trainer around to help or answer any questions. I love the variety, never repetitive or boring.

Love working out at Liber8! If you're like me and want to strength train, but also like going to classes for the structure and accountability, this gym is a great fit!

There's a good mix and morning and evening classes so it's easy to fit into your schedule. A huge bonus isthat the hybrid classes also include a dedicated stretching session too!

The Liber8 community is fantastic and the teachers are awesome. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive, whether you're just starting out or a seasoned lifter, which makes a huge difference. Highly recommend!

I have been training for 13+ years in a gym environment and Liber8 has been literally one of the best! The workouts are all class based (except on Fridays which is open gym but will still have workouts on the board if you want a structured routine) starting with a stretch, warm-up, then the actual workout followed by a cool down. The work outs kick my ass and leave me super sweaty (bring a towel) and with a smile every time. To be honest I was skeptical at first, coming from a lifting gym, I was not sure if it would be the right fit (I would typically spend 2 hours a session at my old gym) but boy was I wrong- within my first year I gained a whopping 6 pounds of muscles which was insane for me- and maintained a 9% body fat level.

This brings me to my next point which is, the trainers here ROCK and they know what they are doing. I have taken some advice and learned what I could about working out from friends and the internet but was definitely hitting a hard wall once I hit about my 8th year of training. Not only that, but I was riddled with injuries from working out improperly. The trainers here take a vested interest in your success and well being by making sure you are aware of the physical ques in the workouts. They are quick to jump on over and correct you when they see bad form as well as motivate and push you to your limits. I have had amazing gains and also noticeably less injuries which means I can work out even harder! WOOOOO

Finally one of the coolest things about this gym is the community. I have never made so many friends at a gym before and how everyone supports one another is beautiful. Times are trying and times are hard so community like this means the world to me!! So if you are local to the North Park/ Hillcrest area come and check us out!!

Liber8Fit is an incredible gym with knowledgable and motivating trainers. The structure is primarily organized around group cross training classes (except on Fridays, with the open gym) and the classes are currently organized in a format that really covers every muscle in the body. Mondays and Wednesdays take on a focus of lower- and upper-body, respectively, while Tuesdays and Thursdays have a heavier cardio component; I have never experienced the same workout twice. Furthermore, I have never had trouble actually booking a class I want to visit, so you don't need to worry about making the commitment to sign up, but then learn that all of the classes you want to visit are full. This gym is definitely for you if you want to learn to use free weights properly and efficiently and challenge yourself to do things you never thought you could. I wholeheartedly recommend Liber8Fit and its amazing community.

I was a member of Liber8FIt Underground for 3 months while I was working a travel contract in San Diego and I LOVED IT! It is my faviorite gym I have joined in all of my travels and I wish I could take it with me! The gym atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging. The trainers are knowledgeable and can offer modifications and form corrections, all while being positive and motivating. I also love that all the trainers, including the owner, are badass strong women! Each class keeps you on your toes with new templates and a large variety of exercises/equiptment. I always left feeling like I got in a great workout! I am sad to leave the San Diego area and will miss Liber8Fit and the community there!!

I bought the $8 promo week and was hooked after the first 2 classes. ANGELA is the best. So personable and is great at motivation to get the class done!! I love the open gym Fridays. They take the guess work out of what to do. It's written on the board and there's also a trainer going around demonstrating the moves. This place is great for beginners and also for intermediate gym rats! I love not having to figure out what to do at the gym. And there's parking!! Win win!!

When I moved to San Diego 9 months ago, I was looking at gyms in the area on google maps and stumbled upon Liber8fit that had 5 star reviews. I decided to give the two week trial a try and since then I have been hooked! I am a travel nurse and even with my inconsistent scheduling, I try to show up 3-5 times a week. The trainers here make it so easy to stay motivated and disciplined. I have never felt or been this strong in my life! I love this place. The workouts are well constructed and easy to adapt to any skill level. Angela and the other trainers take time to get you stretched, warmed up and cooled down. I've been going for about six months and have seen great progress. They offer everything from dumbbell, kettlebell, bench press, TRX, rowers, bikes and more, depending on the workout of the day. It's a welcoming environment without a bunch of Meatheads hogging the mirror and flexing for themselves. Definitely recommend if you are interested in strength training and circuit workouts.

I'm so sad that I don't live in San Diego anymore because if I did, I'd still be going to this amazing gym! An amazing place with a great variety or workouts! By far my favorite class-based gym I've ever been to! Very down to earth and welcoming place. Several classes offered each day make it super easy to squeeze into a busy schedule, and the classes change daily so you never get bored. The trainers are excellent, always providing modifications for exercises, pushing you while also encouraging you to respect your body. Definitely a judgment-free zone. My favorite part is the trainers don't motivate by using any body-negativity tactics, it's all about getting stronger and challenging yourself. I'd recommend this gym to anyone!

So good! I have been working out here for the past month or so. Alyssa is a great trainer, the circuit's she puts together are challenging, interesting, and fun. The music is loud and beats are pumping and its a very charged environment to work hard, and strive to lift and go as hard as you can. That being said, they are all about proper form, doing as much weight as you are able, not pushing yourself past your limits.

If you want to love your gym, this is the place! Alyssa and Angela have created a space that is safe and approachable for all.

The small gym has a boutique feel without the price tag and cliquey clientele and staff. There is yoga, workshops on mediation/movement/etc., optional challenges, and fun group outings.

I have never been bored and leave every class exhausted and happy. This is a great gym for the newly initiated and the gym pros. Give them a go!

Where do I begin, this is the best gym everrrrr. I have been going to the gym for almost 2yrs, joined during the pandemic and never left. Better yet I had to look for an apartment closer to Liber8 rather than work this is how much I loveeeeeee this place. Liber8fit is more than a gym, it’s a community, a safe space where everyone is welcome and become a family. Just moved to San Diego a few months ago and I have tried 4 different gyms to try to find the right regular gym for me. I spent a few weeks at each gym I tried to see what the class schedule and vibe were like. Liber8Fit is such a cool community. Classes are always different, work out is great. But, the coolest part is the way that Angela and Alyssa have built a community of really down to earth people that like to work out. Not a "bro-ey" vibe like a lot of gyms I tried. Liber8Fit Underground is the best! I've been a member for 2 years and it's been the longest relationship I've ever had with a gym. The owners/trainers, Angela & Alyssa, have created a fitfam and community like I've never seen before.

After every cross training class, I'm amazed at myself that I was able to complete it, and all thanks go to those 2 ladies! They provide different levels for each exercise which has allowed me to get stronger over time. Liber8Fit also offers yoga classes to help stretch and restore! My favorite classes are the Hybrid classes that combine the two, best of both worlds!

On the weekends, Alyssa & Angela also organize free community activity outdoors. This has given me the opportunity to get to know other members and bond to become great friends!

I've never felt so motivated in classes and to live a healthier lifestyle! If you're not already a member, you're missing out!

The best part about this gym is that they push you without being invasive or over the top. The people that attend aren’t “over the top” like aggressive gym people. I love Liber8! I honestly can't say enough amazing things about this gym, along with Alyssa and Angela. They both care so much about everyone who steps through the door, and are great about motivating you during class. No two workouts are the same, which I really love! Classes are challenging but Ang and Alyssa are great about providing modifications. I've been going to Liber8 for about a year and a half, and I've grown so much stronger and more confident. I also love the community they've built - everyone helps lift each other up and encourage each other (and even cheer you on when you're stuck doing sprawls, haha). Liber8Fit incorporates fun weekend activities, like kickball, hikes, and beach workouts. They also host monthly challenges throughout the year, and help you create and set goals for yourself. I've tried a lot of different workouts and gyms, but none compare to Liber8Fit!

Alyssa and Angela are some of the best trainers I've worked with. They get to know not just your name, but what you're working on, how you like to push yourself, and what your personal goals are. I met Alyssa and Angela when they were working for a different gym, once I heard they opened their own I was thrilled! Gaining 20 lbs after a double mastectomy was like throwing salt in my breast cancer wounds! Liber8Fit has lit that spark in me again to push my body and mind past the limits this last year set in front of me. Their Hybrid class is basically 45-minutes of me pushing past frustrations of what my body can’t do as well anymore and 30-min of me thanking it for what it can.

Their website has all the pricing, and they usually have a newbie deal of $20 for two weeks. I promise you... YOU WILL SEE RESULTS. Alyssa’s workouts are intense HIIT style circuits that will leave you in a sweaty mess and feeling like you literally just conquered the world. Angela offers a few different styles of yoga... Prana flow, HIIT yoga, and Yin. I’ve never felt more fit and in tune with my mental space. The combination is a perfect blend of muscle stressing and replenishing.

Alyssa’s high intensity interval training melded with Angela’s replenishing yoga is an absolutely brilliant combination that provides a full body workout in 75 minutes.

I have been to many gyms in many different cities in my life, and Liber8Fit is hands down my favorite. Alyssa and Angela, the founders, are lovely humans and incredible trainers. Their innovative approach combines strength & conditioning/HIIT and yoga. I typically try to make it to the Hybrid class (offered at 9:00 am and 6:30 pm), which offers both HIIT (45 min) and yoga (30 min) in one class. The HIIT is exhausting and then yoga reminds you to thank your body for the butt-kicking it just supported you through (it almost makes you forget about how exhausted you were in the first 45 minutes). It is difficult to encapsulate all of the positive things about this gym and community in words, but I will just say that I have been significantly happier and healthier since becoming a part of it.

Liber8Fit is the perfect balance of all things fitness. It's not just a gym, it's a community that welcomes all shapes, sizes and abilities. I'm an introvert and was a little uneasy walking in the door, but within the first 10 mins I felt like I had been there before. There is no intimidation here, everyone is at a different level and supports each other. The trainers are professional and friendly, but will kick your butt every session. I have learned so much about fitness and myself through this gym. They really are making a difference is people's lives; mind, body and soul.

I started my fitness journey with Liber8Fit about 2 months ago and I have never felt more motivated to keep with it. The unique classes keep workouts fun, keep you challenged in your personal fitness goals and provide whole mind/body wellness. Hybrid8 is my favorite and a must try- it’s an all out butt kicking strength/cardio training session topped off with restorative yoga, doesn’t get better than that. This is not just a gym to me, it is my second home. The second you walk in, you are welcomed. I have never felt more comfortable and in my element than walking into Liber8Fit. Trainer Alyssa is always coming up with new ways to challenge each member individually during her circuit trainings. She takes the time to learn your strengths and lift those weaknesses to become strengths as well. Trainer Angela is constantly reminding us to stay grounded and in the moment during yoga, which we do not do enough of on a daily basis. They both teach the importance of each movement, whether it be during Active8, HIIT Yoga, or Hybrid, each movement is just as important as the next. The best part is knowing that recovery is just as important as movement, and the Deactive8 class is there to remind you to REALLY TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY! Highly recommend trying this gym. 10/10 in my book!

So...I came to Liber8Fit after losing -170 lbs -I’ve been really active my entire weight loss journey but because of my previous low fitness level I’d been too intimidated to join any class but the YMCA-let me tell you THAT has all changed, the motivation, professional treatment and flat out “ you CAN do this “ attitude I receive from these wonderful women has been a GAME CHANGER -if my knee hurts, they’ll modify the exercise -I truly get excited to go there! This is by far the best gym I have ever been to. Angela and Alyssa are dedicated, hardworking and SO supportive, and make every workout a joy!! The close-knit community they have created is absolutely amazing, and I am so thankful to have found it.

Before Liber8, I hated working out, & rarely did so. Now, I totally crave it, and can't wait for my next class. The combination of circuit training and yoga has completely transformed not only my body, but my entire mood. I have been so much happier since working out here.

The trainers help each person on an individual level, and at all fitness levels. I have brought not only friends, but my little brother and my mom to try it out!

They have also incorporated a Member of the Month program, which I got the honor of receiving this month, which was just another incredible boost to the good feels this place gives! I recommend everyone come try it out & fall in love!

So glad this gym opened. Super central location, easy to get to and never have a problem with parking. The owners are great and the classes are a great workout and innovative. Liber8Fit is everything I was looking for in a gym! This gym has been the perfect balance of strength, cardio and yoga for me. As someone who would hardly ever take the time to stretch after a workout, I immediately started feeling the benefits of a proper recovery thanks to the hybrid classes they provide (circuit training + yoga). Now my mind and muscles thank me for it!

I'm always challenged during the circuit training but I'm never as sore as before. My flexibility has improved and I leave the gym feeling centered and relaxed. I had always been intimidated to do yoga in the past, but Liber8Fit is a space that has provided me the guidance to push my physical limits to the next level all while feeling comfortable in doing so.

This gym has changed the way I perceive fitness. Even though I've been involved in sports and fitness all my life, somehow Trainers Alyssa and Angela have still managed to make me appreciate my health/wellness and being a gym member even more. The classes are suited for all levels and allow you to strengthen your whole body, all while doing yoga to make sure you are recovering properly. I was reluctant to do yoga at all when first going to this gym but now my body craves it daily. If you want to join a gym where the trainers care about you, the other members are friendly and welcoming, and the workouts get you in the best shape of your life...well this place will do all that and 1000x more.

Libert8Fit is my favorite gym! I’ve never known a place to have both circuit training and yoga in the same work out. And I never knew how much I needed yoga until I started working out here!

Trainers Alyssa and Angela are so friendly and welcoming. I no longer dread going to the gym, because I know Alyssa and Angela will be there to encourage and support me with my fitness goals.

The circuit training by trainer Alyssa is awesome! Each month she has a different routine, that way we aren’t working out the same muscle groups every week. Last month we alternated between metabolic conditioning and strength training. A few months ago, the work outs were split into cardio days and strength training days. It doesn’t matter what the work out is, I always end circuit training feeling exhausted (in the best way possible).

What’s nice about the hybrid classes (circuit training + yoga) is that after circuit training, I don’t just walk to my car feeling ready to pass out from the exercise. Instead, we go right into yoga with trainer Angela, where we stretch out our muscles and focus on our breathing. Because of yoga, my muscles are not as sore or tight after strength training days.
I absolutely love the yoga because it relaxes me but also pushes me and my flexibility. (Just the other day, I did my first headstand!)

Overall, Liber8Fit is one heck of a gym! The workouts are great, but what really makes this gym so special is the community. I always feel so welcomed and everyone is so encouraging!
